Chandra (3/5): - The rooftop bar was really nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a hostel and hotel. We booked a private room with a private bathroom so that we could not be disturbed by other guests. We did not realize the private rooms were right next to the large door rooms and shared bathrooms. The door for our room had a large crack around it and when the hostel guests were coming and going from their rooms and the bathrooms the doors would slam very loudly. It was very loud in our room. This went on every 10-15 minutes all hours of the day. 2 in the morning slam...4 in the morning slam...8 AM slam. Try to take a nap in the afternoon slam, slam, slam. We basically didn't sleep for 4 days and it really took away from the enjoyment of our trip. Also there were these large piles of rotting sea grass in front of the hotel that smelled very badly like sewage. It was clearly a problem and the other hotels and establishments on that side of the island at least seemed to be trying to keep up with removing the ever accumulated sea grass the best they could The Sandbar just kept piling it higher. The stench in our rooms in the morning when the sun would hit the piles was quite intense.

Yousha (10/5): - Goed zwembad en happy hour deal. De kamer had airconditioning. En we waren verrast met de goed uitgeruste keuken. Je krijgt lekker veel handdoeken ook. We wilde een accomodatie op caye caulker. Zochten daar ook naar. Na het boeken zagen we dat dit hostel niet in caye caulker is maar san pedro. We konden niet meer annuleren.

Jessica (6/5): Struttura nuova ed è in una posizione ottima. Carina la piscina ed il bar. Colazione da migliorare - La posizione ottima, la piscina, il ristorante/bar La posizione della camera. Purtroppo era vicino all'uscita della porta di sicurezza e vicina alle scale. Quindi caos continuo e il via vai delle persone, il rumore della lavatrice che è in funzione praticamente sempre, il terrazzo della camera che é ad uso di tutti e quindi le persone passano davanti per andare nel rooftop e mi obbligava a tenere sempre le tende oscuranti tirate. La colazione troppo minima, è uno spuntino ecco!
ESTEFANÍA (9/5): Excelente, muy cómodo, amplio, buen wifi en cada rincón, lavarropas y desayuno gratuitos. AC all day - El restaurante tiene varias opciones de comidas. El wifi funciona perfectamente en cada rincón del establecimiento. Las camas son muy cómodas y espaciosas, un poquito más grandes que de una plaza. El estar de entrada es muy amplio, con sillones y sillas muy cómodas y suficientes para todos. Hay lavarropas y se puede usar gratuitamente y hasta el hostel mismo te vende la medida del jabón para no tener que comprar un paquete entero. Brindan desayuno, básico, pero muy bien para comenzar el día y ahorrarse el pago de desayuno en algún bar. Desde el hostel mismo se puede alquilar un carrito de golf y pedir taxi cuando dejas el hospedaje. El espacio de la piscina y su entorno es muy cómodo y con amplio. Los baños (de damas) son muy cómodos, las duchas de buen tamaño y el agua sale bastante bien. El aire acondicionado en las habitaciones está prendido siempre, cosa que no es muy común, la mayoría de los hostels solo los prenden de noche. Quizás se deberían limpiar los baños más seguido. Si bien tienen un cartel que indica a qué hora se lavan, debería ser más frecuente. Durante toda mi estancia no limpiaron la habitación ni un día, pero se mantuvo bastante bien en general. Podrían aunque sea limpiarlo un poco por arriba cada día. Las playas frente al hostel no se pueden disfrutar ya que en esa zona hay exceso de sargazo, pero se puede ir a secret beach que ahí no hay nada de nada de sargazo. Más bien en toda esta zona hotelera no se puede ir a la playa así que en los otros hoteles debe pasar lo mismo.

Los horarios si tienes check out antes de las 7am te encontrarás con toda la instalación cerrada, yo tuve que salir por el bar y levantar una cadena.

The shared bathrooms were cleaned several times a day. There was a small kitchen available to prep simple meals also. The communal area was comfortable and great to interact with fellow guests. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Can’t think of anything.

Vicki Jean (3/5): Don't expect a quiet sleep, and don't book in advance, you only need a couple days in San Pedro - Check in was fast. Location was close to shops and restaurants. Towels and Beach Towels provided along with shampoo and couple of soap bars. The Room had AC Our room was in the front of the building above the restaurant. We could not keep our window open at night due the the noise and the bar/nightclub next door you could hear people till 3-4 in the morning even with the window closed. We wanted to check out early and leave but the policy is no refund and you had to pay up front so we where stuck for 7 more days.. They never relocated us, we just had to deal with no quiet nights for the rest of our stay. The pool upstairs is nice, not heated. They have no real beach area to go into the ocean set up with lounge chairs because golf carts are parked everywhere, they even have no pier to go out and lounge on and be able to jump into the water.
Mia (9/5): - This hostel & hotel is new and has a fantastic rooftop with a pool. Very close to one of the ferries from Belize city. It's got lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is nice with a very comfy bed and a nice balcony. I'd stay here again! There wasn't any hot water in the shower, which you need after a long day of diving or snorkeling. Also, it would've been nice with a small desk and a chair in the room .

Management should have a chat with him. He approached me asking to settle payments ( in a very rude way), BUT could then not find any payment pending. No apology.
Thomas (1/5): - The view from the rooftop. Left shortly after arrival due to hygiene issue. I arrived late and left at around 01:00 because of a strong, unpleasant smell in the room that made it not habitable. This was a cleanliness/sanitation issue, not a matter of comfort or preference. I did not stay overnight. When I asked about a refund, I was told Booking.com would handle it, even though payment was taken directly at the property. Based on hygiene and how the issue was handled, I would not recommend.

The rooftop pool and the view are AMAZING! I was in an old dorm room with a window facing an outside vent that was shaking constantly because of the vent. Also there was no sunlight coming into the dorm. I still slept great though!

It was great. - Room 307 4 night stay The good things: - Great location - Room was newly renovated with fresh and modern colours - Shower was new and water was hot - Bed was exceptionally comfortable with great linens - Air conditioning was cold and worked well - Central main floor shared kitchen was great with comfortable lounge chairs to relax in and nice dining area - We ate quite a few meals in the attached restaurant which was often busy so staff were working hard but were great to deal with and very friendly and pleasant. Food was good every time. Big menu. Negatives: - our room was not cleaned once in 4 days…particularly the bathroom garbage was not emptied so all the discarded toilet paper was pretty smelly by day 4. - we ended up making our bed and tidying up ourselves - hallway noise was loud particularly doors slamming very heavily

Kelly (10/5): Excellent Stay! - We stayed in a triple room and loved it. It was perfect for us. We spent time on the balcony overlooking the water. There is an older part near the bar, where our room was. The activity in the bar didn't keep us up, however, if you're looking for the quieter part of the hostel, stay in the new area. The rooftop pool was wonderful. We took afternoon naps on the beds. Having the bar and restaurant right there was fantastic! Breakfast was good and different everyday. Having access to the kitchen helped keep cost down! Great location, you can walk from the Sprinter water taxi and to shops, bars, etc. The staff is so nice and helpful. We'll definitely stay again! It would be nice to have salt and pepper in the kitchen.
Markus (9/5): - Mit abstand das billigste Hosten in der Umgebung. Nettes Personal. Gratis SUP. Waschmaschine und eine nette Dachterrasse mit Pool. da es zur hälfte ein Hotel ist kommt keine Hostel Stimmung auf.

Nadja (9/5): - Die Lage und der Pool auf der Dachterrasse war super. Viele Sitz-/ und Chillmöglichkeiten. Grosses Ablagefach beim Bett und sehr sauberes und komfortables Badezimmer.
Darlene (7/5): - The restaurant wasn't open for breakfast as it was a slow season. . But I did eat lunch there at the restaurant and the food was excellent. The hostel is very clean. The room and bathroom were very nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. I like having this small bar fridge in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Very nice big common area to lounge or cook a meal. The rooftop pool area and bar was beautiful but a lot of stairs. Unfortunately there are a lot of stairs and if you have any disabilities to climb stairs not a place for you to go. The rooms are tiny but nice. Not a lot of area to put your belongings.

Nick (9/5): - The new dorm building is modern with clean showers, comfy beds and an amazing rooftop pool metres from the sea. Staff are friendly also. The top bunks are difficult to climb in to. Also drink prices in the bar are quite expensive (similar to UK prices) but this is the same all over San Pedro.

Muhammed Ali (10/5): Herşey harikaydı ve Caesy’e çok teşekkür ederim - Ben Belize‘ye ilk geldiğimde sınırda gümrük memurları bayağı zorluk çıkarmıştı ve beni 6 saat sınırda bekletmişlerdi ama daha sonra ülkeye aldılar ve bütün rezervasyonlarım iptal olmuştu ama ben Sandbar Otel’e mail attığımda rezervasyonumu kolay bir şekilde değiştirebileceklerini ve yardımcı olacaklarını söylediler ve adaya gittiğimde otele gittiğimde yaşadığım sıkıntıları yaşadım ve bana özel bir oda verdiler gerçekten çok iyi insanlardı özellikle Caesy harika birisi ona herşey için teşekkür ederim

Maya (8/5): Lovely stay and can’t beat the price! - Nice central location, right on the water. We had our own room, which though small had everything we needed. The pool area on the roof is awesome! Staff was very nice and helpful. A little noisy in the evenings

Juliette (10/5): Great stay lovely rooftop - I really enjoyed my stay! Comfy bed with good privacy, clean rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff and a beautiful rooftop with a pool. Breakfast is basic but nice to have some food and coffee in the morning.

Ana Daniela (7/5): OK aber hätte viel besser sein können - Die Lage war super, sehr nah an alles, in unserem fall an die Scuba Diving Schule die wir gebucht haben. Das Zimmer war ok von der Grosse und Sauberkeit Viel lerm, wenig Privatsphere, man kann alles von adere Räume hören und nachts kann es laut sei. Das Personal war nicht so freundlich, oder eher uninteressiert.

Kimberley (9/5): Destination de rêve - Super bien situé, a distance de marche de tout. Superbe vue pour les levers et les couches de soleil. Les lieux sont hyper propres malgré le fort achalandage. La piscine sur le toit est fabuleuse et donne une vue périphérique. Le personnel (surtout Allan à laccueil) est trop trop sympathique! Il y a même un petit char noir et blanc qui est la mascotte de l'auberge! Je recommande cet hébergement a tous! Super rapport qualité prix ; très confortable également!!! Notre chambre était située au-dessus du restaurant, donc c'était bruyant. Le vendredi soir il y a eu des cris ainsi que de la musique jusqu'à 2h AM. Toutefois, il s'agit de l'unique désagrément!
Laura (7/5): Good stay. - Mattresses comfy and it was clean. Breakfast being included was great. The climb to top bunk was difficult, very high and couldn’t reach anything on it without climbing up. There was confusion with someone else taking my locker and potentially bed assigned to me. Seemed to be confusions with guests around which bed was assigned to who.
