Guest Reviews
- Leveque (8/5): - Wonderful stay. My only complaint is I had to pay a 35.00 fee for misplaced key to my room.
- Dave E (6/5): - Heavy traffic
- Carl (10/5): - Good place to stay
- Ruth J (8/5): - Enjoy time spent
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Mostly a permanent resident hotel; although this was not a problem. Staff friendly and room clean. Mattress very firm, which my wife likes; me, not so much. Pictures make it look like it's on top of a hill, and imply a view of Stone Mountain, whereas it's actually right in the middle of the city. Overall an acceptable stay.
- D6979POmauricec (2/5): Bed Bugs - 3 year old got bitten very badly by bed bugs went to the front office and showed and told the front office and we were told it’s nun we can do we’re not moving yall to another room so my daughter is having to sleep in the bed with me Horrible but we’ve contacted the family lawyer took videos and pictures we will stand on it. Horrible place I suggest you spend your money some were cleaner you cannot see if a room is really clean even if appears to be clean it’s not and they want do nun about it it’s very sad
- Michael (8/5): - No elevator to the upper floor. You have to carry your suitcase up yourself.
- Laura (4/5): - The bed was hard as a rock and they gave us 2 flat pillows per bed. No microwave in room. Very low water flow in shower. Sink is in bathroom, which would be more convenient outside, to allow others to use. We also found a joint on the windsill outside of room. The only good things I can say is the staff was very friendly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
- EMZELL (8/5): - Some essential things missing in the room like a microwave!
Nowhere to hang up your clothing.
- Robert (8/5): Exceeded expectations - I can't say it's a luxury hotel but I suddenly needed a room during the Thanksgiving holiday and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not beautiful but it's comfortable. I just needed a place to sleep, and for that I have no complaints.
- Tonya (10/5): - I have no complaints. My stay was wonderful the staff was very friendly and polite the rooms were clean as a whistle. I would recommend this place to everyone..
- Tracy (10/5): Comfortably rooms - Very nice room with excellent service
- Samantha (8/5): - Convenient to food and stores. Older facility but clean.
- Keenyn (10/5): Great, just need a make over - It was a great stay, just the room did have some spots that could be fixed.
- Marie France (2/5): - There nothing, nothing at all to be like
- Jennifer (2/5): - This hotel is horrible. We got the room key (an actual key), the key tag said BAD, that should have been the sign. We opened the door and the smell was so bad I couldn't stand it. I was willing to deal with the smell but when I saw the stains on the bed linens that was it. We returned the key and left. The woman at the front desk wasn't surprised at all, like it happens all the time. Absolutely horrible!
- Connie (8/5): - We really can't complain much. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower had plenty of hot water. The room had a slight odor, somewhat like stale cigarette smoke (it was a non-smoking room). There was a small coffee pot and a refrigerator. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only real hassle was getting in and out of the parking lot from the road, unless you were coming from the east.
- Roxana (6/5): Great location; acceptable venue on a budget. - This is an old inn with good parking and well lit; it is a “budget” motel; we were given an actual key to unlock the door to our room on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. The room is very utilitarian, with a mini fridge, a small electric coffee maker, no microwave, no iron/ironing board, no hair dryer. The service at check in was exceptional, even though there was a yet to be solved discrepancy in price; the location is ideal but be prepared for the constant noise of traffic; the best part of our overnight trip was the absolute cleanliness of the room-other than a very faint odor which we chuck to the age of the inn. The beds are very comfortable but there is no blanket, just a sheet and the thin comforter provided. Room has its own temperature control system. The white sheets were immaculate and crispy. The bathroom is of average size, no leaks and also very clean. It appears there are long-term residents at the inn, and everyone we encountered was polite. Though not our average venue, we were pressed to travel to this location for a funeral the next day; given the circumstances, we would not hesitate to stay here again.
- Linda (10/5): Great stay - The hotel was very good. We were very happy to stay here. The room was recently renovated. The bed was very comfortable. The only issues we had were the kids from across the way were very noisy and they started acting up again the next morning
- jerry (10/5): - Pretty average.
- Sandra M. (6/5): - It was okay!
- Michael (8/5): - This place is quiet and I like the easy access to my vehicle.
- Andreana (2/5): - Nice staff, noisy and dirty outdated room though.
- Barry (2/5): - I didnt stay there because they would not allow my support animal. Oh, I am a disabled vet.
- Y9669DEphill (10/5): Better than it looks - Great Price. The check in staff was friendly but the clincher was the cleaning ladies! So nice! Helpful and accommodating!! The room was clean. No complaints at all! Clean sheets. Fluffy pillows. Will stay again.
- Catherine (10/5): - While the rooms looked very tired and the furniture was well used the bed was very comfortable, the shower had tons of pressure, the room smelled great walking in and best of all was the price. Definitely would stay again if in the area.
- B8615PYjamesm (10/5): Great Stay - I started staying here the first of October and have met some good people. The rates are good and get cheaper the longer you stay. It's nothing fancy but its clean and for what u pay u can not complain. If u want to complain sleep in your car instead.
- GeorgiaFamilyT (2/5): Worst place I ever stayed. - Room was ok. Microwave and refrigerator plus 2 plates, cups, utensils in room. Staff rude. Against the law activities going on all around me (selling in parking lot and selling women in rooms too). Not safe place.
- joerS3057CK (2/5): Bad place to stay - Bad place management does not care about drugs or prostitutes people park in the handicap spot with no regard management still won't tow them stay away Not worth the hassle totally crappy experience and not worth what is being charged to you
- donOrlando (8/5): Good for a utilitarian stop. - I stayed 07/08-11/16 in room 103. This is a decent place to stay if you're on business or passing through. It's not scenic or pretty, but it was clean and comfortable. There are few options in this area.
The room was clean, the bed comfortable. Wifi worked well. This is a 2 story motel. Parking is right outside the door. Several chain restaurants close by. Absolutely not scenic. Views are of parking lot or strip mall type stuff. It's a pretty large motel and much of it seems to be week to week or monthly residents. I encountered no problems with them. The ones I met were pleasant. Nightly rooms seem to be up by the office/front. There is a pool that looked clean. There was a small refrigerator and a coffee pot in the room. Nice chair for reading as well. It was much better than I expected from some reviews.
If I were coming for a vacation or sightseeing, this would probably not be my choice of places. However, as a highway stop or up for business or as in my case a funeral, it's a good choice as long as you're just looking for a no frills place to stay. Staff was friendly.
- F5302ZDandreww (10/5): Andrew Walters - Had the pleasure of visiting this part of Georgia. Stayed at Whitt Inn 4648 Lawrenceville rd in Loganville. Found the inn very comfortable and the staff very friendly.Would recommend this Inn and plan on returning
- KSTampa1622 (8/5): Got the job done, very clean - Great place to fulfill basic needs for a few days. Room, mini fridge, and bathroom were all clean, with sufficient hot water and decent wifi connection- streaming sometimes glitchy. Staff were friendly, although one woman did not laugh when my friend sang Cruella's theme song upon checking in...Sad... and since there was some very loud and vocal ruffling of the sheets going on in the room right above the office, the staff looked a little uncomfortable at the door each time I asked for more towels. All in all a good experience. I will return, and will request a room that does not sit directly above the check-in office.
- KathyJ236 (6/5): I got a remodeled room - It doesn't look great from outside but the room was clean & comfortable. Although there are people who live at this hotel it was surprisingly quiet & did not seem to have a lot of late "traffic" outside the rooms.
Would advise you look at the room before checking in to be sure you are happy, they did get me into a different room when the 1st one I looked at did not satisfy me.
- ernieslong (2/5): STAY AWAY.... - We have stayed many times...always showed pet to front desk no charge under 20 pounds.got our room ...67.20$ three hours later the phone rings..its is the front desk they said dog seen in room ..now we must pay 100.00 or check out...so i tried to explain to the owner check the camera but she just wanted to argue and use profanity...real professional...not...fraud...no return on our money...
- ernieslady (4/5): Stay away if you have a pet - My boyfriend and I have been staying here for a stay cation we were told that we could have our pet with us by a couple of the staff members and not charged a pet fee... we paid for our hotel for the night and checked in a little after 1100 am then received a phone call at about 4 pm saying that we must either check out or pay a non refundable 100.00 pet deposit. When I asked if we could get our money back because we needed to check out I was told no . My boyfriend went to the office to speak to the so called owner and was cursed out and told we have 10 minutes to get our stuff and get out or they were going to call the cops . We will never stay here again .
- eawatson2007 (8/5): Way better than i expected - My husband abd i wanted a cheap room we used Travelocity let them pick our room for low price(40$) was really taking a gamble after i saw the hotel i was like omg we cane prepared to purchase hotel somewhere else it was horrible.we arrived front desk clerk was very friendly frim office needs a major face lift and will turn u away she let us see the room before we checked in and to my surprise....perfect.i do believe pple kive in rooms in far back but were really close to front office it was no bother.throughout night hotels was booked.moral of story never judge a book by its cover.this was an excellent stay for the $ we stayed two nights....no problems
- CaptnSam (4/5): Staff friendly ness 3+, Room 2- - Friendly staff can't make every place better than it is. The room in this hotel needs to be remodeled completely and the love seat needs to be tossed out. It was so worn out and nasty we didn't even want to put our suitcase on it. Everything that goes on outside feels like it is in the room with you. Saturday night must have been "Party Night" in the parking lot and Sunday night the girls were talking about it at 3am. And don't expect your room to be cleaned but they will give you clean towels.
- CassandraC356 (10/5): This is the best hotel in walton county..... - I just wanted to say that me and my husband travel for his job and this hotel is very clean and friendly, you feel like you are at home when we stay here, there are other hotels in walton county but we woundt stay at any of them, because of their bad reviews.....The rooms are clean, the pool is clean the staff is beyond friendly, and we recommend anyone to stay here, the whits is a great place to stay........And its a good price, Ive had my kids here and my mother and no one ever bothered anyone or did anything wrong, So I would diffidently stay here again and again.....
- macofmootnmac (8/5): Whitts vs. Atlanta........... - My wife and I stayed at "THE WHITT" beause it was close to a Regional Medical Center where our friend was........It was close to his favorite waterin hole where we met all of his friends and the price(with a TRIPLE AAA) discount was good. This is an older Mom and Pop that is clean and had all we needed. The staff were very friendly and helped us a lot with directions and map quest info. We will stay there next time we are in the area.
- Cheryl196082 (8/5): Fantastic Shower! - This was a very nice hotel. The room was quite spacious. There was a sink with a large mirror in the bathroom and right outside of the bathroom as well. The bathroom was extremely large for a hotel bathroom. The shower was the best shower we have ever used! It was almost like standing under a heated waterfall! We loved it! There were plenty of outlets for plugging in our electronics.
Cons: No breakfast (only coffee), mattress was too soft for our liking, toilet paper was exceptionally thin and the bracket was installed in such a way that the toilet paper would not roll.
Bottom line: We would definitely stay at this hotel again next time we are in the area.
- paulyone (2/5): Not for the weak at heart - Stay Away!!!!!especially if you have family. This place is for extended stay's .For people that got kicked out of thier trailors.Be a great place for a redneck honeymoon.Dont have to worry too much about security.Cops are around.Rooms are covered with patch ups from all the beer fights and cigerette burns.Dirty carpet.Things under the bed.Was afraid to look .I used a towel to get on the floor to check.Don't plan to sleep well and bring some Marines with ya for extra security. If you're life is blah and lacks excitement ,go to Afganistan or stay at the Whits Inn.The only good thing I can say is believe it or not room sevice was good and friendly and customer service was southern hospitality at its best.
- vickyr921 (2/5): I have never ever seen anything like this in my whole entire live - Its a nasty trailer park trash place. People actually live in this place and thinks its the greatest thing in live. The police come and go. They need to investagagate! Its a drug invested place. I was scared to even come out of my room to smoke.Die your hair red and get it on. I hope the police is reading this and dose something about it! Somebody needs to! You cant even go to the pool because old drunks sit around at the picnic table with thier tongue hanging out. sick! sick!
- worldwidetraveler077 (2/5): ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MOTEL IN THE SOUTHEAST! - If you love to watch hill billys smoke crack and do other drugs and drink all day and night then this is just the place for you. Me and my fiance stayed here and a "guest" of this trashy motel grabbed her behind while she went to get ice from the ice machine. I was outraged and when she returned and told me what happened I told management the next day what he did and his room number and their reply was that he's been a long time resident, yes resident as in living there. I soon found out that the majority of their "guests" are actually living there. The room are filthy and old, some of the staircases are roped off because they are collapsing. It's truly a horrid place. I'd rather die than ever have to step foot on that property again. Oh and to top it off there's a trailer park behind the hotel and next to it, no gate seperating it, because it's owned by the same people that own the motel. I'd have to say the motel itself is a trailer park. I could go on and on and on, but I feel I've wasted enough of my time, just wanted to make sure nobody else ever has to go through what I did during my stay at that dumb.
- nyandcompany (4/5): One step above trailer trash accomodations. - I stayed there with family because of the cost and location. However, the surroundings and people were shady, seedy and undesirable. I understand that people rented there weekly or monthly. We had to ask housekeeping daily for towelsbecause they were not automatically replaced. It seemed as though they didn't have extra towels. They actually counted the towels at our door and wrote which dirty towels were used, and said they would would wash them and return the same towels that afternoon. I don't think they did anything else but make the beds because the rug always had the same lint each day. There was an unkept trailer park right beside the hotel which seemed creepy.
