- Caron (9/5): - La chambre était bien et propre, le personnel aussi, restaurant-bar, bord de l'eau a 1min a pied Le lit est peu confortable, manque d'eau chaude, jacuzzi brisé, mais j'y retournerais

- Martin (4/5): ok - no way to reach somebody after 5 pm I asked some body for ici machine and they didn't t know not a lot insulation for sound between room luckily my neighbour was going to bed earlier
- Laroche (10/5): A bit dated, but very clean and comfortable! - Room was very clean. Room was a bit dated and showed a need for renovations, but the cleanliness made up for it.
- Anna (9/5): Great and cozy resort - We really enjoyed our stay and our room! The bed was so comfortable. The jacuzzi was nice. The room really nice and practical with a little kitchen. The room was clean and we felt like home during our stay !!! On top of that , they worked alot on the snow removal on this weekend of winter storm! They really did a good job. The girl at reception, Lucy was really kind and helpful. We will come back.!!! It could be nice to have the restaurant and bar open at least the weekend in the low season ! With the ski next door , I'm sure it could be useful !
- Chris (8/5): - .
- Ronald (8/5): Very good -
- William (10/5): - I liked the size of the rooms and the convince of being able having everything you need to cook and having all the items you need away from home.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gaby (8/5): - Buildings are not new, but they are like appartmemts with full kitchen and a huge patio. The 2 single beds were a bit surprising but being tall, they were at least long enough. Price is very reasonable for what you get. Calabogie is a very beautiful area.
- Stamatios (4/5): - The room had not been renovated or updated since the 1990s.
- Ilir (6/5): - Nice place to stay.
- Tom (6/5): - The place is expensive for what it offers, it is facing a nice lake and has impressive surroundings, very relaxing. The room is very very ordinary, with very low-end quality room features including a shower, sinks etc...almost like a winter lodge. The reception was closed when I arrived @ 6:30 pm but I did get a courteous call in the afternoon to help me check in.
- nicholas (10/5): - Good
- Charlie (6/5): - One bedroom suite with full kitchen. No mattress pad under sheets (yuck) and poor bedding; drapes don’t fully close (too short, too narrow); shower curtain missing rings. Rest of decor was dated but clean. Exterior needs paint and gardens need tending. Golf course is great and obviously the priority!
- Cynthia (10/5): - Very quiet and somewhat isolated
- Ken (6/5): Need to address the rodent issues. - Mice
- Nancy (10/5): - Beautifully set by the water. Quiet, clean
- Kusi-appiah (10/5): Awesome - Good Norhing
- Kalon (9/5): Beautiful environment - The views! Quiet...all was great. Leaving early...unfortunately!
- Amsey (7/5): I think I explained it enough. Feel free to contact me, and a partial refund would be appreciated. - There was no breakfast, The room door was 3/4 open when we arrived. We were moved to another room. Doors were all unlocked. No hair blower as advertised, advertised as only one room left when we booked. Only 3 cars there for the overnight lodging. Maybe a little false advertising. Not advertised as part of the golf course. Didn’t know where to check in first. No one around to check out at 7:30 in the morning. A little disappointing for the rate being charged. Why would you leave the doors unlocked. Anyone could spend the night there.
- David (10/5): - Great accommodations were right beside the golf course. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great stay :)
- Alexandra (7/5): Good -
- Karen (8/5): - A little dated. Room was small but excellent location, next to the first tee box, with a balcony.
Water pressure was a little low.
- William (8/5): Very good - Location on Lake in Barryvale Water pressure, small room
- Maxine (1/5): Would not return. Expensive for what is there. - Nothing Property isolated. Only good if you want to play golf. Cannot get to the lake. Room was dirty and a crying dog next door. Left a day early because of the above but still charged the full amount. Not worth the money they charge. Went to make a drink of tea the previous customers coffee bags where still in the coffee maker.
- Ilyass (10/5): Amazing stay and amazing staff. - Amazing place and even more amazing staff. Extremely friendly and helpful
- Vernon (8/5): Very good - bad pull out couch
- Tammy (8/5): Very good - nice view of the water. not enough lightning at night
- Marijke (8/5): Very good -
- Jannette (6/5): Pleasant - It was private. Left us with good instructions since we did a self check in. Ran out of hot water before the jacuzzi tub could be filled. Bottled water should of been provided since the tap water was not very good.
- Melissa (8/5): Very good -
- Kay (10/5): Amazing staff was excellent -
- Holli (10/5): - Beautiful in the winter :) jacuzzi tub was great. This place would be amazing in the summer.
- Chintan (6/5): - In winter, seems like it is abandoned. No proper blanket provided. Just a thaw. No breakfast service as well. Temp control in room is not great.
- Darlene (8/5): Very good -
- Gerry (8/5): Very good -
- Kristin (7/5): Good -
- pierrette (6/5): - no closet, hangers or anywhere to hang up clothes.
cord for coffee maker did not reach plug. Had to put in on the floor.

- Antonio (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (10/5): - Awesomeness 👌

- Robert (10/5): - Room was nice. Nice view of golf course and the golf course was beautiful!
- Richard (9/5): Superb -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- William (9/5): Great value for the price. - Staying at the Highlands Resort was exactly as expected; it's a 3* hotel that's reasonably priced and, in our case, we had a large one bedroom villa. Is it a little dated - yes; was the bed one of the firmest I've ever slept on - yes; but for the price it was an great value and all staff encountered were very friendly. It was the perfect location for us to stay as I was participating in a track event at the Calabogie Motorsports Park, which is a short 5 minute drive away.
- Sandra (8/5): - The room we stayed in needs some fixing up. The towel ring fell off the wall (but we were able to screw it back on) and the side tables were extremely wobbly. The room has obviously seen some abuse but it was very clean. The hot water also smelled of sulphur, so having a jacuzzi tub wasn’t exactly the experience we had hoped for. The staff upon check in were extremely friendly and full of knowledge of the area. Overall, we enjoyed the stay, but will not likely stay there again due to value for the money.
- Michael (2/5): - Beautiful area
Place water rotten egg smell, black powder in water, didn’t use shower or hot tub or drink water, place not cleaned properly
When we got there had wrong address on your itinerary no special instructions to get access to Villa’s unit, tried call number no person just voicemail
We met a construction guy in parking lot gave us the owner number
Original gave us unit 204, finally after couple hours get in this unit, the unit wasn’t cleaned so we had to wait again to get another unit 202, is was a bit cleaner but the water had same issue,
You say the rating is 4 star, be lucky to get a 2 star, very expensive for a so called 4 star hopefully we get some discount or refund
There also no bottled water in fridge, no access to clean water
Mike
- dave (10/5): - Beautiful scenery, not too far away ,Great for a quick weekend getaway
- Michael (6/5): - No breakfast offered, flies all over the bathroom and shower. A little disappointing.
- Larry (2/5): - Very run down, maintenance is poor, gaps in flooring, mold on seal of fridge. Poor air conditioning, smell of sulphur from hot water, Manager did upgrade us from the worse rooms but, still bad. No Matress covers. Who has twin beds in a suite. Problems too numerous to mention
- Rakibul (8/5): - Very nice
- Carmen (4/5): - Very small, outdated and the shower was broken. Very expensive for what it is.Not pleasant stay.I would never go back.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - There was no one looking after the property. You had to check in at the Pro Shop and they weren’t there on time. Couldn’t catch them at the sign-in desk so I called them and although they said things would be fixed, they weren’t. No one was in our room for 3 days. The towels wouldn’t dry and they wouldn’t replace them. The only good thing about our stay was a comfortable bed.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - We only stayed one night in our room, but would not have wanted to stay more. It was an uncomfortably designed room and somewhat dated. Since it was east facing, by the time we checked in, the side of our building was quite dark and did not make for a pleasant experience inside the small unit. The bathroom, although perhaps desirable in the time it was designed and constructed was overly large, leaving about as much space in the sleeping quarters. The door into the unit pretty much opened right onto the bed. The whole unit was finished in ceramic tile, which was quite cold and the large Jacuzzi tub was in the bathroom, which was dark and made the using the tub not something we wanted to do. If you plan on playing golf, then at least you're right on the course, but otherwise, the only amenity is a restaurant. There is boat launch, but no beach. Overall, we felt that the room was not worth the price we paid, but we understand that prices in Calabogie are high in general.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Location and the over all site are great. The restaurant staff is super.
The buildings at walk ways where the rooms are, are poorely built, the different floor finishes, are not at matching level, and even show some gaps.
Way worst then any thing, the water smells like rotten eggs.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We had a wonderful getaway. Enjoyed the suite and golfing.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The property is outdated and in need of a major refresh.
- Mike (6/5): - Room was clean, nice. location good and price was good. Tv was missing the remote that was needed to watch it (a replacement couldnt be delivered because after hours and/or covid). No hot water in shower, but worked in jacuzzi which seemed odd (maybe pipe still frozen from winter??). The hot water going into the jacuzzi really smells and i dont think that problem is an easy fix. The office did offer a partial refund without me asking for the inconvenience. Problems one and two should have been noticed by staff prior to allowing guests. I’d give them another chance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - That the rooms were in separate buildings from each other
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Jacuzzi tub was filthy, did not use. No water for coffee. Outside areas garbage strewn, stairwells dirty. Kind of shabby, kind of dirty, but ok for a night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The jacuzzi suite we stayed in lacked some basic features like a closet or chest of draws for your clothes and a decent table large enough to eat on or work on.
- Daniel (8/5): - We rented the jacuzzi suite for a night and overall it was good. Room is cute and bed was comfy. Only thing I’d say was that the water coming out of the shower STUNK like rotting eggs
- Melanie (10/5): Big suite with nice lake view - We enjoyed the the beautiful view of Calabogie Lake and spacious suite with big balcony overlooking the lake. The suite included a fully stocked kitchen, but it could have been cleaner. We appreciated the easy no-contact check in during these times.
- JP (4/5): - Sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable- I was waking up every 30 minutes. They used a very very old spring mattress that digs into your back. Also, the light switches were faulty. You could not turn them off or on. You would press them to turn off and they would turn back on. Had to sleep the whole night with the lights on. No bottles of water were provided in the room. Disappointing as the well water had a rotten egg smell and a metallic taste.
- Lisa (6/5): - The room décor was nice but the property could use a little maintenance. Lots of weeds, needs a fresh coat of paint, no lightbulbs in some outdoor lights. We tried to use the jacuzzi tub but the hot water cut out before it filled high enough. Water pressure in shower was awful too. Also air conditioner in room was super loud and constantly turned off and on all night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was clean and tidy, however the shower didn’t work and the jacuzzi tub was a pain to use.
- Fern (6/5): - No amenities, staff, or anything else there in the winter.
Shower needs repair, barely trickles and water smells from sulphur.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We like the location. The view was beautiful up the lake and the ski hill. The property was clean and had everything we needed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice views. Big rooms. The water is from a well so it is hard and smells like sulphur. Not a big deal to me but somw of my guests were not as easy going.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a cute location, very pretty down by the water and golf course. The staff were very friendly, our villa was updated and cute.
What we didn’t like was the well water smell, no elevator so I had to Drag our suitcase up the stairs which resulted in a broken handle. There was no hair dryer in the room and the walls were very thin, could hear our neighbours convo all night and they weren’t being loud. We also walked in circles trying to find the front desk so better signage would be handy.
Overall it was an okay stay, could be better could be worse.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff are friendly and helpful when available which is limited. The facility is old and tired. It could use a serious "sprucing up". One major issue for me was the extreme sulfur smell from the hot water. Beyond that the location is wonderful and quiet. The dining area has excellent staff and many good choices to eat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The room was very nice. It had a small kitchen area with real dishes, a mini fridge, microwave, and sink so we were able to eat without needing disposable plates or utensils. The view of the lake was beautiful and it was a fabulous quite location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - View was perfect, but our room was full of mosquitos and the bathroom and jacuzzi wasn’t clean. I was expecting at least bottle of water in our room. Wasn't worth the money.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Woke up with a 100 mosquitos in my room and no door or window was left open. They came in from within and none were in my room when I went to bed. I had to evacuate in a hurry. Worst experience ever.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice location, bit rundown, but clean. Staff was helpful.
- PB (8/5): - Service was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms could have used an update - some of the trim had gaps and needed repair, otherwise the rooms were quiet and clean.
