- Johan (9/5): Nid’s is accommodation to return to. - We stayed at bungalows 15 and 15A, which are spacious and well appointed. The beds are fine and the bathroom and shower are good . The WiFi is very good. The rental scooters are good at a good price. The accommodation’s own generator takes over the power supply when there is a power failure. There is a decent size swimming pool. Shops, restaurants and Samui Central are nearby. Renting a scooter is recommended as Samui is quite a large island. Friendly and helpful staff and on request your room is cleaned daily. Nothing at the price.

- Harald (10/5): Zu Empfehlen - Absolut sauberes Zimmer, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders erwähnenswert ist das großartige Service der Dame vor Ort – sie organisiert das ganze Resort und kümmert sich auch um den Mopedverleih. Das Ausleihen eines Mopeds war völlig unkompliziert (300 Baht für eine 150cc), absolut fairer Preis. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt – klare Empfehlung! Eigentlich gab es nichts, was uns wirklich nicht gefallen hat. Zurzeit wird jedoch die Straße vor dem Resort gebaut, wodurch sie teilweise eher wie ein kleines Enduro-Gelände wirkt. Laut Besitzer soll das aber in den nächsten Monaten erledigt sein. Also nicht wundern, wenn das Moped einmal nicht mehr genau dort steht, wo man es geparkt hat – der Besitzer stellt es manchmal um. Das sorgt eher für ein kleines Schmunzeln als für ein echtes Problem.

Nous avons loué un scooter 125 presque neuf, 250 baths/jour, prix très raisonnable ! Nous avons adoré l'endroit, nous y reviendrons très certainement. Rien à redire !

L'éloignement du centre pour être loin des sonos nocturnes de la ville. Les petits déjeuner. L'accueil de Alan, Australien très sympa. Pas de bouilloire, pas de frigo, bungalow très mal isolé du bruit, beaucoup de bruits nocturnes (chiens, chats). Pas de réapprovisionnement quotidien en eau.

- MICHAEL (10/5): Au top!!!! - Nous avons tout apprécié dans ce lieu. Le personnel était au petit soins. Je recommande fortement le Nid's bungalows. Notre petit chat noir va trop nous manquer et même les trois femmes qui y travaillent. La facilité de louer un scooter sur place et le lavage des vêtements un vrai plus. Tout était parfait.

Maybe because of maintenance on the road but did not feel good to walk there inn the dark. The dogs there bark a lot and one time ran after me while I was going away with the scooter so it felt uncomfortable…

- Torrance (1/5): Poor quality and unsafe Bunglalows on the property. Insect and animal infested. Large tree smashing into one of the Bung - Nothing Bad location. Unsafe to walk at night, dark dirt road. The Bungalow I stayed in had huge safety concerns. There was a tree smashing into the back of it. You could hear the crushing sound of it. There were also critters inside the walls clawing/eating on the wood structure of the unit. Roaches and lizards in the bathroom. The floors had patches on them and you could see through the floor. I felt like at any moment I was going to fall through the floor.

- Fabrizio (7/5): 4 notti a Chaweng - Cercando il contatto diretto con la natura… ci siamo trovati nel posto giusto, al risveglio ci si trova immersi nel verde e contornati da animali come gatti, cani, papere… e tutte le mattine senti il gallo cantare. Quello che cercavamo! Ottimo il servizio di noleggio scooter e lavanderia. la strada per raggiungere là strutture completamente non asfaltata e dissestata… senza noleggiare uno scooter secondo me è impossibile soggiornarci.
- Noemi (7/5): Carino🙂 - La piscina è carina, non essendo la prima volta che venivo ma anche nel 2019, alcune cose le hanno migliorate molto! Pieno di verde e di animali, c’eravamo affezionati tantissimo al gattino nero! Purtroppo i cani non erano troppi amichevoli e più di una volta ci hanno rincorso abbaiandoci e anche l’insonorizzazione della camera non era un granché!

The pool is large and clean - perfect for lounging in and around. The resort is an oasis in Chaweng meaning you can have the night life , the beach (both 10 min walk) or just chill by the pool. Can't wait to return !!!! We didn't like having to leave 😁

- Ozu (1/5): Book another hotel - I’m sorry to say this, but my stay there was completely different from what I expected based on the photos. The room was in very poor condition, and there were frequent power outages. The road near the hotel was also difficult to access and full of potholes.

Walking distance to beach and market. The best deal we have had on our trip so far in Thailand. Having to leave NIDs and get back on the road.

- SHARON (1/5): so bad we didnt stay. - Nothing We checked in. The place was filthy with old rusty cars lying around. the bar that should be open was closed. the pool looked filthy and was tiny. The whole place was nothing like the photographs showed. We went into the main town to discuss our options and the 5 of of us were unwilling to spend a night there. The whole accommodation cost us 600 euros and we walked away from it and got ourselves a clean hotel. We reported it to booking com who tried to get in touch with the owner but he failed to respond.
- Miriam (8/5): Ganz toller Urlaub in großen Gruppe perfekt wir hatten dort unsere Ruhe - Wir waren als große Gruppe unterwegs und haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt. Wir waren sehr traurig als wir abreisen mussten. Als wir mit der Klimaanlage kurz Schwierigkeiten hatten war innerhalb kürzester Zeit ein Techniker da. Danke an Alan der immer ein offenes Ohr hatte und sich um alles bestens gekümmert hat. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und die Frauen die dort gearbeitet haben waren sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Es gibt’s nicht auszusetzen
- Boaz Ariel (1/5): Absolut nicht zu empfehlen - Preis Leistung für ausserhalb der Saison und auf den Zustand bezogen unterirdisch. Die Selbstreflexion des Eigentümers bezüglich Zustand / Preis / Leistung sind nicht von dieser Welt. Ich war fast dreißig Jahre beim Militär und habe in den schlimmsten Gebieten und Plätzen geschlafen, alles angenehmer als dort.Ich stelle nicht viele Ansprüche, jedoch möchte man für sein Geld schon das erhalten was angeboten wird. Ich habe am nächsten Tag ausgechet und habe ein NEUES modernes Hotel, Zentral in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße gefunden für gerade einmal 30 Euro mehr. Besserer Service, neu, sauber, Snacks, sehr viel Service und weitere Angebote. Alles hat nicht gefallen, alte Heruntergekommene Unterkunft, Service war unfreundlich und schlecht, Restaurant oder Bar war vorhanden jedoch geschlossen. Man muss mit dem Gepäck ca. 300m laufen durch Morast und Dreck da die Strasse saniert wird (kein Wort davon beim Buchen). Hunde die herumlaufen und einen anbellen, die Lage ist alles andere als gut. Vom Service ganz zu schweigen und der Selbstreflektion des Eigentümers ganz zu schweigen. Patina an alten Möbeln ist das eine, heruntergekommen Pressspan Möbel etwas anders. Offene Stromleitungen, kaputte Möbel, schmutzig usw. Alte gelb braune Bettwäsche die weiss sein sollte. Zudem kaputt mit Löchern. (Siehe photos)

- Andrew (10/5): 5 Day Stay - For the price, nids bungalows is fairly unbeatable. Quiet and secluded but still very close to central. Alan and his team are very friendly and knowledgable about Chaweng. I ended up being the only guest staying during the end of my time and genuinely can’t fault anything. A large selection of motorbikes for hire and plenty of tours can be booked through Nids. There’s a 7/11 with cash machines and a currency exchange around for convenience amongst the bars of Soi Reggae. I had the optional breakfast most mornings and it was spot on, eggs, bacon, fruit and coffee. There is a nicely sized swimming pool too, that is clean with plenty of chairs and loungers. Unfortunately it was raining most days (which can’t be helped) but the dirt road along the lake leading to nids did get a bit churned up. Easily manageable if you take it slow on the bike. Thanks for the great stay Alan, much appreciated.

The entrance to the site is under construction and it’s a bit difficult to carry the suitcase in the unpaved Road. Also, don’t expect a luxury resort

- Kleibi (5/5): Passable - Lady Nid & her husband are very friendly. The laundry service and motorbike rental are benefits to reach other places nearby. The street to the entry to nid's bungalows is under construction. So your shoes are dirty and if the rain starts,.. you probably "swim" to the entrance. And if you want to reach the walking street, its a 15min walk.

- Ludo (9/5): Quiet resort with good facilities and super friendly owners and staff. Good price and quality. - This location is a pearl on a busy Samui near Chaweng. It's not a beach house or a 5 star resort. But the staff is super friendly, you can rent a bike hear, do your laundry here, eat breakfast and the room has both a ceiling fan and good airconditioning. The resort still needs some maintenance and was a little short on staff. The access road is under maintenance too and you can only access the resort by a dirt road, not ideal when renting a bike.

- Maisie (8/5): Great if you’re on a budget! - The staff were super friendly and spoke English, we had a parcel delivered there and they came and brought it to our room. They booked us a taxi for our flight on the final day and ensured someone was at reception to collect our room key. Everyday the bed was made and bathroom was cleaned, fresh towels too. Good value for your money and the location was great. 7-11 was a 5 min walk and the main part of the town was only 15. They have their own restaurant sort of area which we didn’t use but looked good. There is also a pool which we didn’t use but was clean and other stayers seemed to enjoy it. Overall I would say it’s great if you’re on a budget. Just a bit of constructive criticism.. The animals were loud and woke us up throughout the night with barking and meowing which wasn’t great. I would say the rooms are outdated with unstable floors and an old tv which we couldn’t get to work unfortunately. A mirror in the bedroom maybe above the dressing table would have been very useful My main point I wanted to say was that the lighting inside the bungalow was very dim. Even with the window and door open. We liked to spend some time in the day relaxing but it felt very dark and depressing.
- Thalia (1/5): Avoid!! Absolutely horrible. - The staff were lovely, the pool was decent. There was hot water also. The room was damp, dingy and horrible. The floor wasn’t very stable, as we walked over it, it felt like we were falling through it, as it made several noises to indicate so. The air con was unreliable. The room was severely outdated. The bathroom was horrific. The shower basically was on top of the toilet. We woke up to cockroaches and an abundance of dead flies in the bathroom. The noise was another issue. The place has animals of its own but these weren’t even the main issue. We were awoken in the middle of the night to scratching and rustling on our door, it was completely distracting and we couldn’t sleep. Then at 5am the cockerels woke us up again. The dogs barked at us every time we entered the property, which I thought may have woke other stayers up at late hours. The property is located quite far from the center and you need to get a taxi or bolt to take you in, unless you would like to walk. There was also some construction being done near the road to the property which also obstructed some taxis from getting down. Towels had a musty smell, the overall cleanliness was lacking. We are aware we paid a cheap price for this stay but we had stayed in other places for similar and got a far better experience. It was so horrific we had to cut our stay short and we only lasted one night here!

Kindness and humanity is the first. Highly appreciated. Th elocation is like 1 km from beach. But Chewang today is noisy and dirty place with tractors on the beach!!!! Mainly during sunset period. Shocking for me. Than Nids bungalows facility is the oasis of the silent and peace. You can find and can get all here. Just ask. Key lock is old fashioned, would be changed soon for cards.

A bit scary walking to the hotel at night because it's a bit rural with a few dogs barking behind you but just walk on and ignore the dogs and no problem. Safe once you're in the actaual hotel area. Friendly animals like cats, dogs, ducks and chickens walking around. Quirky chickens in a tree, laying eggs in the tree. Nice pool with a lot of shade from the hot sun. Breakfast was suberb for only 150 baht. Friendly staff treat you like family We were on first name terms from day one The road leading up to the hotel is very dark at night with a few dogs barking. Ignore dogs and keep walking , you'll be fine. Best to get a taxi back at night. The rooster could go on a bit in the morning but so can my wife...

Die Unterkunft war eigentlich ganz schön, jedoch hätten wir ohne selbst mitgebrachte Mosquito-Netz wahrscheinlich keine Nacht ruhig schlafen können, da durch die vielen Pflanzen und das Wasser das perfekte Klima für Mosquitos herrscht und die Unterkunft viele kleine offene Stellen hat durch die diese herein kommen können. Das Frühstück ist absolut empfehlenswert und für den Preis unschlagbar.

- Larnie (10/5): The perfect place for me to stay at, the owners were incredible and they made my holiday even better in so many ways. - The property was close to everything but tucked away in a private location. The room was extremely clean and cleaned everyday I was there.....always fresh towels and my bed was made, floor was cleaned daily too. Nid and Alan were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure I had an enjoyable stay. Nid's cooked breakfast was delicious and I looked forward to it every morning.... I could book, any day tours, the boat to Koh Phangan and anything else I needed was taken care of by Nid and Alan. There is a laundry service too and my clothes came back perfect. I was able to hire a scooter as well, which was very convenient. I loved the pool and it was so nice to swim in during the evening too.... I highly recommend Nids Bungalows.
- Gian (1/5): Bad - Nulla Cucarachas, Cockroaches, Blatte. Of three nights booked after the first night I ran away. bungalows rotted by time where dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and the rooster that starts to crow at five in the morning bivouac in front. Inside the bungalow where the bed fits and little more I had to share the night with at least one cockroach. In the morning I reported what had happened to the presumably English owner and he replied with disappointment "it's normal we are in a tropical country". I asked for the money back for the additional two days I would have had to stay but the owner refused to give me the money back. in conclusion, a place to absolutely avoid.

- Destiny (10/5): Exceptional - We loved it here , we also got a free upgrade to the best room. Was unsure to stay here as read reviews about a rude owner however this was not the case. Was pleasant, polite and sorted anything we needed such as extra hangers in wardrobe. Yes it was a little noisy in the morning some days from the animals but who doesn’t love animals and when you hear the stories that the lady nid rescues these animals and cares for them, it’s so lovely they are given a home and care ! The noise is not bad, some reviews make it sound worse than it is. Wasn’t a far walk to the beach or 7/11 and was situated on a lovely lake . We enjoyed our stay here and found the room comfortable and staff lovely ! Pool had quite a few bugs in
