Bed sheets and comforters were dirty. Nothing was wiped down. Mold on the ceiling. Had a really musty smell. House keeping would come in our room but wouldn’t even pull the door shut after leaving. The elevator would skip our floor or go super slow like it was getting stuck. Would not recommend to anybody.

Stained bedsheets and towels. Outdated but if you're looking for a place to sleep then go for it, the view was nice as well. Will definitely not be booking again, I did not feel clean while there.

I'm guessing that the mattress is about the same. it killed my wife and I's backs the six days we were there I wish the hotel would update those things before coming back. The staff was good when we interacted with them. We had key card problems multiple times as well. Pool was clean and it was a nice break from the ocean. Ice machine worked great. All in all decent places to stay for the money spent

The balcony door was awful to open & close. I wasn't happy with our room at all!! The stove knobs were broken. It took over an hour for it to heat & cook our spaghetti. Noone at the front desk wanted to help. They just "sent a text".. Need to check on the appliances bc they could be a fire hazard..... wont stay here again.

The towels had stains. Another thing, they told us they didn’t have wash cloths, we had to use hand towels to bathe. The only thing I liked was the atmosphere. It was very quiet. Other than that, I would not book again.

The room was super clean when we were greeted! Everybody is super friendly, and willing to help you in any way with all hotel needs. And the maintenance was absolutely fantastic! We had troubles with the ac, and they had zero hesitation and zero problem, coming to fix it in such a short period of time! I will forever make this my first go to get away hotel when I come to Panama!

Linda (2/5): - The property is falling apart. Our room was filthy and the head housekeeper finally came and helped some. Cleaning staff did not do their jobs and we had to beg on the 4th day to have our beds cleaned and for new towels. Lighting in the room barely worked and the one lamp fell apart. The bulb was a 7 w and really didn’t do anything. Our phones were the best source of lighting. The lady at the front desk was not nice at all. I do not recommend this place. Also we were told that because we booked through Expedia that we were given the worst rooms.

Suzanne (8/5): Could improve front desk knowledge - Frustrated at check in. I booked through hotel.com. I called hotel directly to see how much I needed for deposit at check in… already paid for room on website. Was told $100 security deposit, $48 hotel fee for total of $148. When I checked in I was told an additional $48 due. I also inquired about the beach chairs and umbrellas if there was a charge for that and was told no. Hotel supplies them only to find out it’s $40 a day. So beware of the additional cost they spring on you and apparently the people at front desk have no idea what they are doing. The room was great. Clean with beautiful balcony view. Has to ask for wash clothes as there were none in our room. And Coffee in lobby was always empty even early am.
rossalyn2025 (2/5): Súper bad experience - This hotel should be shut down and demolished due to the terrible condition of its facilities. The rooms are dirty, smell horrible, and everything looks neglected, as if it were trash. It’s unbelievable that they are still operating like this, with no respect for their guests. The bed was the worst nightmare of my life — it left me with back pain and I even hurt my foot because of how bad and uncomfortable it was. To make matters worse, the balcony was filthy and full of cigarette butts, which shows a complete lack of cleaning and care. On top of that, they have the ridiculous policy of holding $150 on your card as a “deposit,” which they only return a week later. I consider this a complete abuse. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It’s a disgrace.

No, I didn’t get a refund, I just had to pay for a whole new place- that’s how bad it was there!!!!I could not stay there, it was that bad!!!!! Avoid like the plague!!!!!!

I rented three rooms and all three rooms had roaches, bed bugs, bed lice and spiders. Not to mention the mold and mildew, and filthy bed, mattresses, appliances, etc.

So we just bought stuff to put in microwave and finger foods. I’m giving a 100% true review not sugarcoating anything. Check in and out was a breeze! Very friendly staff! For the price I can’t complain much just needs a few updates and it’ll be perfect! Oh there is a $50 per night stay deposit requirement. Over all we had a good time and the room was clean!

Angela (4/5): - The view was beautiful! Staff were very friendly upon check in and check out. However the room we stayed in wasn’t. It had an odor to it, the first thing I seen when we opened the door was rust all over the refrigerator, very and I mean very few dishes to use. We ended up just buying stuff for the microwave and finger foods. Because there wasn’t but one small pan to cook with. Bathroom faucet dripped the whole time. The beds were lumpy and felt like we slept on rails. Pillows were lumpy as well. The carpet was dirty. There was no broom or anything to sweep the floors. I had to chase down housekeepers to borrow a broom and get a trash bag. No one never came and offered us clean towels I had to again go to the housekeeper. I doubt that we will stay here again. There’s also a $50 per night stay deposit required when checking in. One thing I did like was the text from the front desk AI of course. This hotel needs an update and we would come back then to stay.

Sandra (6/5): Not worth it! - If all you care about is the view, this is your place. I did not see or use anything that would qualify this place as a resort. Both of our beds didn’t have one true pillow, every pillow was a pillow case stuffed with sheets. All of the lotions or shampoos were empty. Part of the pool was roped off going into 4th of July week.

I5161WLrebeccah (8/5): ****Honest review **** - Room was clean ,a few things were in need of minor repairs but nothing out of hand.( hook on bathroom door missing,tile behind door broken ,small hole in wall where hangers are i assume from the ironing board, panneling strip missing a few nails and was loose and back missing off remote control) Beds were comfortable ,staff was very pleasant and helpful . Location was great ,within just a few mins of most everything via car and by foot . Wish they still had a complementary ice machine instead of $5/bag on site vending . Had complimentary beach towels for beach and pool area ,charcoal grills on patio and grounds stayed clean . Would recommend for a family getaway. When booking through 3rd party PLEASE note they do NOT pay the resort fees AND it's nee to have a $50/night /room refundable security deposit so be aware before check in. Otherwise an enjoyable stay
aldonnah (2/5): Terrible, I would avoid this place - We arrived at the end of a long drive, and checked in to our room. The room had some significant issues with it. As did the property overall. Among the issues were: Room issues: Stains on the bed linens. What appears to be black mold on the ceiling just above the window. Hairs on the shower enclosure and body wash dispensers. What appears to be rust or blood stains underneath the window. Filthiness, stains, and lack of functioning of the door to the balcony. Filthiness and stains on the balcony and its furniture. Property issues: No apparent maintenance/cleaning of the pool during our stay. A section of the small pool deck was taped off because of severely broken cement on the decking. Overall filthiness including garbage piled up from the previous night on the dining patio area. (We have pictures showing each of these items.) As a result of these issues, and mainly because of health reasons with the black mold in the room, we felt we had to leave after the first night. We would have not stayed at all, but it was late, and we were exhausted, so we decided to spend one night there. We checked out the next morning.
Y7886AClisal (10/5): My stay at Beach Tower Hotel - Everything was nice, the only problem was the WiFi. But that won’t stop me from using this hotel again. My husband and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary together there June 24 - 29, 2025 and we slept good and the staff was nice.
debrai752 (10/5): We had a great time. - My daughter and I had a wonderful time staying at your resort. The only complaint I have is the pillow I slept on. It was not very comfortable. Other than that we loved the room and time spent at the pool.

E2198ONnicolec (4/5): Mostly disappointed - Honestly was one of the worst rooms we’ve stayed in. When we arrived we quickly found out that the pictures that were advertised for the resort did not match what we walked into. The floors were so grimy and dirty, the ceilings had cracks, the sheets on the bed didn’t fit so they were popping off and one of the comforters had a hole in it. There was no secondary lock on the door, the coils on the stoves were popped up and hard to use and all the soap in the bathroom was empty. We were disappointed to say the least for what we payed for our two day trip. Being right on the beach and being close to all the amenities was probably the only good thing about the place. We were grateful to have a place right on the beach but highly disappointed in the state of our room. We will spend the extra money next time and get something that is not so outdated.

The room stinks, the blankets had stains, the front and back door were so hard to close. The pictures online look WAY better than what it looks like in person. Also, the front desk receptionist literally disappeared for hours.

Hugo (2/5): - Bathtub had hairs on the walls like they didn’t even bother cleaning the bathroom. As soon as you walked in the room the smell was disgusting. Every other person staying there was smoking weed and the whole hotel smelled like it. The carpet in the room was so dirty it felt sticky and my socks were black from walking from the bathroom to the bed. Never again!!! Absolutely disgusting. Do not take your kids there.
A9575KNelizabethm (2/5): Unbelievable that a hotel in Panama City could not supply bathroom tissue. Never before have I experienced this type of - I can not beleive that they did not have barhroom tissure. I went over to get some because the maid didnt leave any and was told by desk clerk "i am sorry we dont have any because the manager forgot to order it also the manager had to go buy coffee cups ect at more money because it wasnt ordered." She had to give me a half of a used roll of tissue. You would think for the amount of money I paid for two nights I could have expected a roll of tissue. Plus besides of the money paid for the room (which had already been paid) I had to put down a 100.00 deposit up front. What poor quality of service for this hotel.

troywD5647QC (2/5): Got me once - The Lining was dirty, the sewer smell was terrible we had to fill the bathtub and sink with water to prevent the fumes coming out. We asked for new Linings to be dropped off while we was out to eat and when we got back our room smelled of Marijuana and the apparently the attendant was eating wings because the sauce was on the Lining. The ac was a hit or miss if it worked or not it kept freezing up. I also had to continue to work on the toilet to get it to work. Told the person at the front desk about all the issues and they replied back I am not the manger. It absolutely terrible all the doors interior and exterior are out of adjustment so you had to throw your shoulder into the doors to open. I would recommend anyone to stay there at all. The biggest waste of 1k for 4 nights I ever spent.
U5380HRlauriem (6/5): Time to Upgrade - It needs to be updated.......comforters... pillows and a lot of painting....rust on the floors...and carpet needs shampooing or replaced. I call for housekeeping five times no one showed up. I would come back after all been improved tho because I love the location. I walked to the surrounding stores and it wasn't that far. Friendly Staff.
774neila (4/5): Not the Ritz but Beachin On a Budget - Outdated facility; sketchy elevator; door was HARD to open and close; very few dishes to use with the kitchen (no pans for using the oven); neighbors smoking and yelling on balconies causing backdraft into room. All that being said, it DOES have a good location, the staff was nothing but cordial/helpful; the AC worked great; and there were no bugs or anything like that.

No clean towels or garbage emptied for a week Service was bad, doors so rusted it was hard to open or close them and if you complained they didn’t care. Stove and oven had no knobs with temperatures so you did not know what you were cooking on would not stay there again
khsrussell3 (6/5): Needs some TLC. Great location! - No coffee pot in room as advertised. Doors were hard to open and close. Needs cleaned up and updated. Bandaide over peep hole in room. Very loud and noisey at night. Staff were not friendly at all. Shower wouldn’t drain, hair dryer kept getting cold. Lighting flickered. Close to everything, close to the beach walk out back door and you’re on the beach. Great location but some TLC needs to be done to hotel. Location is great… and great tattoo shop across road. The housekeeping was very nice and helpful.

Kitchen tile was a little rough and the door stuck, so you had to push really hard. Beach shower didn’t work properly! Pool was in rough shape Definitely not a resort!!

Sharon (10/5): - I don't understand all the negative reviews, but to each they're own. My room (606) was clean, and efficient. A full size refrigerator, microwave and mini stove with an oven. They even had silverware, cups, plates, pots and pans and dish detergent. The bathroom was well stocked too. The only complaint I have is that the people in the room over was smoking pot on the balcony and it was wafting onto mine. I text the number the hotel sent me if any problems came up and they were gone the next morning. People just want to complain to complain. You are at a BEACH FRONT hotel, if you want absolute pristine conditions, then stay inland, because this hotel is definitely not for you.
Verified traveler (8/5): Panama City Beach, FL - It’s so ok but the hotel is very old the roof inside the room and the balcony had it bad mildew!!! That’s not healthy I don’t know why there is not a rule for all those hotel to inspect and fix whatever problems or issues the hotels show just for the safety of the people and because it’s not free we paid but it’s over price we paid $489 half goes to Hotel.com & half price goes to the property. That hotel should cost $20 per night because of the condition of the hotel!!!
