• Zabia (7/5): I have no serious complaints. I would stay again. - The hotel was relatively quiet and clean. The location was great. The hotel is seemingly under renovation around the entrance. I circled the property 3 times before realizing the entrance was off to the side, not facing the parking lot and since there was yellow tape blocking that parking area, the entrance wasn’t apparent. There needs to be signage directing to the entrance while the property is under renovation.

• James (1/5): I was promised a handicap room by booking.com but upon my arrival I was told all the handicap rooms - Breakfast was good I requested a handicap room for my mom and was told that one would be available, but when I arrived at the hotel I was told by staff that know handicap room was available and booking .com would have to be contacted because they booked the room i am very disappointed in booking.com.
• VARINI (4/5): - The staff were very helpful, however, the room was dismal decor, dull gray and the air con was very loud, and access to the reception had no signage and we had difficulty finding the entrance. On the positive side, the GM was very caring and understood our complaints and gave us a discount, which we appreciated. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide variety of items.

• Sherri Marshall (4/5): Different room type, but charged for room booked - The breakfast was outstanding. The location being near many restaurants and stores was a big plus. We were charged for the room/living room (one bedroom) we reserved, but we were placed into a suite. I was told after I went back to the service desk that they were fully booked, and suites were only available. Plus, the room had a bad air conditioning noise. They then moved us to an ADA suite, which had a loveseat, not a queen pull out bed. Was uncomfortable trying to sleep on the loveseat as was too small.

It's very nice to arrive at a clean and comfortable place after 8 hours traveling by road. I couldn't be more satisfied, we had everything we needed. I loved the renovated bathroom and the big space in the shower so you can bathe three small kids at the same time with no problem. The breakfast could have been better. My mom and I love to eat grits for breakfast and we couldn't enjoy it because the grits were under-done, totally uncooked. They didn't have regular sugar (how come we all have to be putting artificial sweetener in our coffee now?) On another note, there was no whole milk, but 2% milk.

• Q1727UGjamesp (2/5): WARNING! Do NOT stay here! - Do not choose this hotel. There are many other ones close by to choose from. No security at the hotel. Random people were coming in from the side entrances. This hotel does allow pets under 35 pounds but I saw many large dogs well over 35 pounds. The front desk did nothing.!I also saw guest using the side and rear doors to sneak in there pets so I’m sure they didn’t pay the additional $100 per day for pets. That extra charge is used to shampoo the carpet and do other necessary cleaning after a pet is in the room. The breakfast bar area was always lacking items. I told the worker who works the breakfast bar area but seems that he was overwhelmed and couldn’t replenish in a timely manner and some not at all.. Also there were dogs in the breakfast area while guest were eating, staff did nothing. I would never stay here again! Lastly, breakfast is horrible

The front desk staff were probably the best I've ever encountered. Abraham is a star and was quite possible the best thing about staying at the Residence. Great location, if you're a runner, jogging back in the adjacent neighborhoods is easy and relatively safe. Would go back here.

My family and I had to leave in the middle of the night because they didn't have any other available rooms. Instead of us being able to rest, we had to leave and drive 5 hours away. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE VERY DISAPPOINTING. The manager claims they couldn't do anything. Not happy with the treatment from Marriott.

• danielwQ2713JG (8/5): Pooler Ga business trip - Strayed at this hotel while on local business trip. Overall the hotel is good for what it does, provide a limited kitchen and space to save money on meals. The hotel provides a basic breakfast every morning, typical of Residents Inns. It’s ok for a few days, but otherwise eating at some of the local restaurants for breakfast will give a better experience. The big disappointment is small and in poor condition of the exercise room. Very small , with equipment broken, The hand weights are missing pairings , probably due to theft. One of two treadmills has been broken since my stay there in December. Probably best to find a local gym next time. Also, disappointing was the quick grab and go supply. Not stocked with items typically needed such as milk and cereal for early morning departure for work. Rooms are overall clean, but walking around without shoes is not recommended as the carpet is not completely clean. I believe this hotel was renovated within last 10 years, but like so many, it’s looking dated. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

• Verified traveler (4/5): From 5 stars in 2023 to 2 stars in 2024 - We stayed here a year ago on our way to Florida and liked it enough to book it again this year. However, perhaps because I used hotels.com rewards for our room this year, we were put in a really decrepit room. The sofa had stains all over it, on both sides (yuck)! The furniture was beaten up and pieces of laminate torn off. The dishwasher wasn't attached to the countertop, but rather shoved deep into the hole. The refrigerator smelled like it had something die in it. The HDMI cable wasn't hooked up. My husband called the front desk about that; they said they'd get back to us but never did. He finally figured out what to do, but he shouldn't have had to. The TV is bolted to the table in such a way it couldn't pivot enough for good viewing in the living room (on the now blanket covered sofa) or the bedroom. The countertops was chipped and not attached at the seams. THIS ROOM IS QUOTED AT $342 a night!!! It's not supposed to be dive. But I felt like it was a dirty room and glad I was staying only one night. We had this hotel booked for our return trip at the end of March, but I cancelled it and booked another hotel in the same complex for $120 less. Pros- the beds were comfortable (if you could trust the sheets were clean} and the breakfast very good. Location is good (right off 95- if you can get through the traffic lights to get to the hotel) and there are a lot of restaurants to chose from. What a difference a year makes, from 5 stars to mostly 2.

• pjandnic (10/5): Nice, comfortable stay! - Really nice stay on our way to Charlotte! All the staff were extremely friendly, the front desk staff was efficient and even provided goody bags. Nice touch after a long day. The room was very clean, comfortable mattress and hot water. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many choices, great coffee! Overall, it's a great hotel!

• Kristy (2/5): - We booked in a hurry due to a cancelled flight. Went into our room, which looked very worn but smelled clean. I checked the mattresses and found signs of bedbugs. Staff gave us another room across the hotel, where the lights didn't work and the pull out mattress was alarmingly stained red. I refused this room as well and cancelled the reservation. The staff tried to be accommodating and were very nice, but I wouldn't consider returning.

I was disappointed that the room only had bath towels for one person. The kitchen only had light bulbs I. 1 of 3 lamps and the top of the fridge was dusty.

• Road639317 (2/5): WORST HOTEL IN THE STATE OF GA - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !! Where do I start?! At arrival I walked into the the property and although the gentlemen Abraham working the front desk the GM and I'm assuming the AGM just walked by as if they did not have guest trying to get assistance. Once we checked into the room the smell of the room was OVERWHELMING TO SAY THE LEAST. There were trash bags on the counter top with old food stains. The door frame, handle, fridge, microwave, bathroom and furniture were all covered in stains, along with mildew growing in the window panels. We called housekeeping to come and reclean the room and the only thing they felt the need to do was vacuum. The room was in such bad condition my mom and I had to go down the road to Dollar Tree to purchase cleaning supplies to clean the room ourselves. I was honestly surprised the room did not have bedbugs because it was completely filthy. Please read reviews before you decide to book a stay at this hotel!!!! I would honestly give this property a 0 rating if I could.
