Guest Reviews
- Gavin (10/5): Very helpful friendly staff -
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Barbara (8/5): -
- Nicolle (10/5): -
- Don (9/5): -
- Clark (7/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bathroom spotless The bed was horrible as were the pillows. And the bedding was thin and not very adequate, with nothing spare to put on the bed to be warmer. Such a shame, just make the bed comfortable!
- Kevin (9/5): Great stop off after ferry crossing , would stay again if visiting the area - Typical pub stay .
- Anthony (8/5): -
- Caroline (9/5): - Staff, location and Branksome bed and room size. The pub was popular. An option of fruit at breakfast would be good
- Harrison (8/5): - The property has a nice feel and is clean. The breakfast was good. There is a nice garden to sit and have a beer or meal in the sun. Being an Inn, it’s a pub with accommodation but a very nice pub. All was good. Breakfast is only served between 9 and 9:30 which I found a little odd. If I was using the hotel for work or had a busy day planned I’d like to be gone before this. When I asked the staff why, she said that it’s because the chefs work all day so they need a later start in the morning. I wonder how all the other hotels I stay in manage to have 2-3 hour breakfast time ranges?
- Jessica (9/5): Would recommend - Comfortable room and bed. Friendly staff, good food and great breakfast. Could hear loud music from somewhere until very late at night
- Anthony (9/5): - Working with Booking.com !
I had to book everything twice !
- Robina (10/5): Great stay by the sea - We loved the welcome of the staff, the room was super comfy and the breakfast in the morning was also great! Good location out of the city centre and close to the bus stop.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Gamper (7/5): -
- Jeroen (9/5): - Beautiful area, lovely staff, good food, overall just a great place to spend the night.
- Salisbury (10/5): - The staff were fantastic, the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable, the beach was only a ten minute walk away and the food was nice. The guest night entrance was a metal fire escape that our dog demanded to be carried up. Nothing major though.
- Mark (9/5): - Clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent.
- Mrs suzanne (10/5): Lovely friendly staff very welcome x - Everything Nothing
- Kirsty (8/5): Very pleasant, would like to return in the summer - Great location, short walk to the beach, helpful and friendly staff. Free car park.
A nice little place to have a short stay.
Breakfast was great too. Nothing!
- Alex (5/5): -
- Stuart (9/5): Excellent will stay again - Short walk from the beach, excellent breakfast and friendly helpful staff Breakfast time slots only 30 mins.
- Tracey (10/5): Excellent value for money - Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Excellent location to beach and facilities. Breakfast was excellent-just need a toaster that’s works quicker. Would stay again Need to update the toaster
- Julie (10/5): Excellent !!! - Check in was at 2pm we arrived early and had a lovely lunch was then shown to our lovely clean spacious room with a shower and a bath which was a real treat. We were able to see the sea from our room and a short walk to a gorgeous beach and was then able to walk for miles to sandbanks towards Poole. The staff were so welcoming and friendly I cannot stress enough how comfortable and relaxed our stay was and the breakfast was outstanding. This was the perfect accommodation and location for Branksome beach and surrounding areas. The inn had areas to relax outside and a fantastic bar and restaurant We stayed for two nights and would have loved to have stayed longer.
- Kevin (9/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Overnight stay for trip at poole - Bar was excellent Locked in at night , breakfast was late 9am and we was unable to wait , nobody on-site to hand key to. Key posted in letterbox.Tradesmen waiting for access wanting to start work.
- Linda (10/5): -
- Ian (9/5): Excellent value, food and staff. - Good position and excellent staff. Had 2 lovely meals with endless breakfast coffee refills. Room a bit dated, but very comfortable.
- Naomi (4/5): Disappointing for the price - Lovely staff and great breakfast Rooms were disappointing for £150 per night. Bathroom badly needs updating, it was clean but very tired and discoloured grouting not pleasant. Mould all over the window frames, they just need a good clean. Not very nice having to use the fire exit and walk past bins when you need access between 10.30pm and 9am.
- Niall (9/5): - The staff team were all really friendly and helpful. The room was really comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay here again! The room was probably a little too warm, but that is just personal preference and has no bearing on standard of the room.
- Martin (9/5): Good value attractive place to stay - Excellent choice for breakfast. Attractive area. Great place to stay. Helpful friendly staff. Bus stop very close. No buses after 6pm but it is winter
- sandra (8/5): Lovely and worth the price - Had a lovely welcome from the manager for the evening, parking was easy, food was excellent with very attentive waiter, tea tray was adequate, bed was comfy, shower was good, Bit unfriendly in the morning (different staff) , floor were still being cleaned in the breakfast area and considering breakfast was not until 9am I would not expect it, only way out once inner door is locked on stairs was via fire exit which was quite narrow.
- Julie (8/5): All facilities made for an enjoyable weekend - Location , comfortable, staff were friendly and good choice on breakfast menu Nothing
- Tim (9/5): Will definitely revisit AAAA - Fabulous hoists Darren and Maggie and Chris the General manager, amazing Breakfast and dinner, lovely room and comfortable bed
- Peter (10/5): Good value comfortable pub - Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food for dinner and breakfast was excellent.
- Gemma (10/5): - The staff were amazing, so welcoming. We felt like home from home and in a lovely local pub. The food was great and the breakfast was brilliant. The entertainment on the night was a jazz band and was so good too.
- Mariusz (4/5): - Paid £105 for one night. The staff/service was good and friendly, but unfortunately the room did not meet expectations. The bathroom had mould and clearly wasn’t cleaned properly, and the floors were squeaky. Overall, the room hygiene and maintenance were disappointing for the price paid.
- Sarah (10/5): Excellence, comfort and happiness all round - Our stay was wonderful in every way. The Inn oozes charm & character. The staff were friendly and hospitable and the breakfast menu works class. Home from home with all the creature comforts you could home. Nothing.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- St-Onge (9/5): -
- Sue (10/5): - From the moment we checked in, the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Our room was lovely and the food was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
- Vincent (8/5): Very enjoyable stay would highly recommend for a weekend away - Quite location,10 minute walk to the beach, staff very friendly and went out of their way to make the stay enjoyable The room was very nice, the bathroom could do with updating to a modern shower and a better quality bath.
- Nuria (8/5): Great place but just needs some tlc. - Location, parking, room size all great. Lovely clean fluffy towels. Lovely bed linen. Very comfy bed.
Lovely staff. Fabulous breakfast. Rooms are tired. Shower felt needed a good looking at.
Lots of black grouting which is unpleasant. Flush on toilet was dodgy.
- Trevor (10/5): - Very nice rooms, the breakfast was second to none
- dorothy (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Simon (8/5): - Very clean, bathroom needs a refurb. Staff very friendly. Breakfast and service excellent. Would definitely stay again
- Sabine (10/5): - Schönes grosses Zimmer mit tollem Pub mit besonders gutem Essen!
- Andrew (9/5): -
- Martin (8/5): -
- Susanne (9/5): - Trevlig personal. Fin uteplats. Nära fin och stor strand. Skön säng. Rummet var bra dock slitet och borde uppdateras
- Joanna (8/5): Comfortable hotel above in excellent location with good standard of breakfast. Veg sausages were amazing! - The location, decor & parking Make member of staff wasn’t very friendly
- Peter (6/5): Location was exactly as we needed. - Location was excellent for quick access to the beach. Food & drink in pub area was good. One staff member was a bit uptight regarding access to the bedrooms at a certain time. The bath/shower was a bit grim due to obviously hard water in the area. The toilet did not flush properly. Breakfast is served only between 09.00-09.30 which was too late for the activities we had planned.
- Alan (9/5): -
- Charlotte (9/5): -
- Lesley (10/5): - Excellent Everything was great
- Marcos (9/5): -
- Gary (6/5): - We liked the location and the downstairs area was lovely Our bedroom was small. Moild on bedroom window. The bathroom needs upgrade... cracks in sink, drains in sink and bath all rusty. Shower head well manky and no opening window in bathroom. Definitely needs some attention.
- Paul (9/5): Good location and although i left before breakfast i was offered a sandwich for the journey which was a nice gesture. Th - Good quiet location with parking after visiting for an event on Bournemouth pier
- Cameron (1/5): Terrible. We will never return The customer service was awful - Breakfast and breakfast staff. Location Staff was obnoxious and rude. When we arrived we were forced to retain an additional room at 100 pounds since we had an 8 year old child with us. We had not been told in the month prior that we would have to rent 2 rooms for our family of 3.
- Leanne (10/5): Lovely mini break at a lovely place - Lovely room, breakfast amazing and very friendly staff. Also enjoyed evening meal at the pub. Excellent location to get to the beach.
- Mrs Katie (8/5): - The area.
- Martin (8/5): - Excellent rooms and service.
Downside was breakfast isn't availability before 9 am on a Sunday, and i had to leave at 8: 30
- Marcela (9/5): Pleasant stay, very nice staff and great location. - A really well-located inn, with a bus stop just across the street and the beach only a few minutes' walk away. The staff were also very nice and accommodating. We thought that the bathroom needs a bit of update.
- Erika (6/5): - Good location, food options, but the room and bathroom facilities are very old.
- Lucinda (9/5): the Inns great location to branksome beach is excellent. the staff couldnt have been more helpful - breakfast and location were excellent
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Sharyn (10/5): - Staff were extremely helpful and room was so spacious and bright.
- Paul (10/5): - Friendly & well positioned hotel with lots of character.
- Mark (10/5): Very enjoyable - Great location and lovely pub Location was perfect
- Denise (9/5): Superb -
- Lauren (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (9/5): Superb - Location... nice and quiet and only only a few minutes from the beach.
The full English breakfast was excellent.
Very comfy super king size bed.
Off road parking. Although very clean.... the ensuite bath/shower could do with an update..
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Arthur (8/5): - Quiet location, very handy for the beach. Bar and restaurant were good as was breakfast. Our room was a bit small but comfortable. Other rooms were bigger. Friendly staff.
- Catherine (10/5): Really clean with plenty of tea and coffee supplies in the entrance hall and a really comfy bed - The breakfast was delicious and to a high standard with very friendly and attentive service The late night entrance needed a little bit more light at the top of the stairs to be able to see the keyhole so my mobile phone torch came in handy
- Maximilian (10/5): - Second time staying at the hotel and loved it, so close to the seafront and shops, loved the room and breakfast too.
- Rebecca (6/5): Pleasant - The location was good and a short walk to the beach front. Parking was available. Breakfast 30 minute fixed time slot. Very rigid and did not suit us. No cereals or water, juice left out to pick your own.
Disappointing for the price we paid for the room.
- Eveline (9/5): Superb -
- Arnold (8/5): - staff brilliant
- Brian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michael (8/5): A nice spot to stay near Bournemouth - The place was very pleasant and we arrived on a Jazz night. We walked along the coast to Bournemouth which took about 45 minutes. There were no cafes or ice cream huts open even though it was before 7pm. We found an oasis in the Harvester restaurant. The room was a little cramped but overall we were happy.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Great place to stay and relax. - The hotel is in a quiet residential area very close to the beautiful sandy beach. It was very quiet at night even though there is a pub downstairs…..which is also very pleasant. The staff were extremely friendly,
- Kennedy (6/5): Pleasant - Good food all-round Late start time to the breakfast service
- paul collyer (8/5): - Very helpful staff and nuce area to stay. Few minor issues with the room but nothing to put me off staying again for the price.
- Julie (9/5): Would definitely return to this property based on the staff, location and food. - Breakfast was great very tasty all you needed. Staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us the room had everything you need for a comfortable stay The price of the wine seemed expensive £22 for two glasses wouldn’t be able to sit in the bar for long at those prices which is a shame as bar and staff were lovely but would still return to property for anther stay
- Miss (10/5): Fabulous stay - Staff were very friendly, psrjing on site walking distance to the beach was fabulous. The breakfast was a perfect touch to the day ahead with lots of variety to choose from. Far by a mile a happy stay and will use again in the very near future. Hidden little gem 💎 ✨️
- Harriet (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Inn near the beach - Really nice staff and good cooked brekfast. Great position near the beach.
Our room was fine it was a bit tired & the rooms are not serviced during your stay & you are locked in at night and there are no staff on the premises which felt a bit strange…..
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Very welcoming. Excellent breakfast. Nothing.
- David (5/5): Passable -
- Janina (8/5): Such a little Jen, a 5 minute walk to the beach which was lovely at 7am this morning.would come again - Lovely location, welcoming, lovely food and terrace
- David (8/5): Lovely hotel in a homely pub near beach - Lovely hotel conveniently situated a 5 min walk from beach. Lovely en suite room with all necessary facilities. Good bar food with well kept real ale. My only criticism is that on arrival I found out breakfast is only served 9-9.30 - no good on a business trip when you need to be away at 8am. Had I known this I would not have booked. Staff were apologetic and offered a discount on my evening meal in lieu. Thank you.
- Wayne (9/5): Superb -
- Zoe (10/5): Great stay - Very helpful and lovely staff, close to beach, and great breakfast.
- Sarah (7/5): Very pleasant and ideally situated. Very friendly staff. - Great spot and very welcoming staff. The property needs an uplift but was clean. The food was good. Beer lovely. The property needs a good renovation.
- Ian (8/5): Good location - A good location for a short stay and a short walk to the beach. Our bathroom could do with complete modernisation but our room was spacious and comfortable.
