Powerful water pressure and a bath /shower. Its fab for passing through. No other pubs or amenities in village, so you can only eat and drink there unless you drive to St Andrews.

• Douglas (10/5): Perfect for a relaxing couple of days, we hope to stay longer the next time we visit. - Nice friendly welcome from all who were working in the hotel, the room was exceptional with plenty of space and the beds were really comfortable. There was plenty of space for our clothing, with more than adequate hangers within the wardrobe, not something that you get in other hotels. The bathroom was equipped with plenty of towels, bath robes, soap, hand cream, shampoo and conditioner, with choice of a shower or a bath, which also had a shower attachment. Excellent breakfast served in the morning with a variety of options available. The evening meal choices were varied and exceptionally well made and served with great professionalism, and great value for money. Everyone was so welcoming, including the residents of Kingsbarns who are responsible for a well run hotel which also is a brilliant asset for the community as a hub of connectivity for the area. I could not pick a fault with the hotel, or the people who run it.

Location was excellent for us as we had booked the nearby distillery and Wild Scottish Sauna at the beach in nearby St Andrews although there is usually one right at Kingsbarns which was our original plan, but was under maintenance this weekend. Had dinner on Friday and Saturday, both meals excellent as was breakfast which was served 830 to 11 so we could have more of a brunch on Saturday morning Rooms were a little more dated/ tired than expected. Walls were quite thin and could hear a lot from neighbouring rooms. Unfortunately for us had some quite raucous guests in room next to us, especially the second night.

We arrived on a Sunday. The set beef Sunday lunch was amongst the best that we have ever had. The traditional Scottish breakfast was brilliant and set us up for a full day of Snowdrops at Cambo gardens. We had dinner later. Seared King Prawns on my prawn cocktail were amazing. The battered haddock was light and crisp, with delicate fish. Fantastic. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Please though if you follow us here book direct with The Inn and not through a third party website who will take money off you and the Inn. The Inn deserves the full amount you pay.

• alanrM9879TD (10/5): Perfect stay and will be back - Our stay at The Inn at Kingsbarns genuinely felt like a little escape I didn’t know I needed. From the moment we walked through the door, there was this warm, easy atmosphere that instantly put us at ease. The team there don’t just do hospitality well they make it feel natural. Nothing is forced, nothing is over the top, just genuinely friendly people who seem to enjoy looking after their guests. Our room was that perfect mix of character and comfort, the kind of space where you drop your bag and immediately think yes this will do nicely. Everything was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the small touches like fresh milk made it feel more personal. The food deserves its own praise. We had diner on both nights that we stayed and it felt like it had been cooked with real care. Breakfast set us up perfectly for the day, and the evening meals were hearty, flavourful and beautifully prepared without being fussy. It’s the sort of place where you will look forward to dinner all day. If had the steak burger on the first night and we both had fish and chips the following night. I would heartily suggest leaving room for dessert - homemade cheesecake is to die for. And the location couldn’t be better. Kingsbarns is peaceful and charming, with the beach and golf course just minutes away and St Andrews a short drive down the road. It’s ideal whether you’re exploring, golfing or just slowing down for a bit. By the ttime we left, we were already thinking about when we could come back. It’s that kind of place. A couple of tips - do book for diner as space is limited and it would be unfortunate if you missed out; parking might be tight due to limited space but plenty of parking nearby. Apart from these small points nothing should stop you booking a stay here.

The food was excellent, exceeding expectations, and while vegetarian options were limited, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A beautifully poured Guinness and great value all round. A special thanks to Norman for sharing the inspiring story of the community-owned operation. A wonderful experience we look forward to repeating.

• DR (9/5): A Hidden Gem - A gem of a place to stay near St Andrews, hidden away in a quiet village. Warm and cosy, politely greeted by staff, we enjoyed a light bite in the evening and a tasty Scottish breakfast in the morning. Our room was spacious and clean, with a large bed and comfy armchair. Easy parking. Only minor issues. The TV didn't seem to have a full range of channels, particularly BBC, and the remote didn't work. The shower could be tricky to control. Menu in room didn't match actual menu.

• Zara (10/5): Perfect for a cambo estate wedding stay - We stayed at The Inn at Kingsbarns for a wedding at Cambo Estate and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The location is ideal – just a couple of minutes from the venue – which made the whole weekend so easy. Our room was very comfortable with a super cosy bed, and we really appreciated how smooth the check-in and check-out process was. Breakfast was absolutely lovely, and the staff were incredibly attentive throughout our stay. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and we’d happily stay again the next time we’re in the area.

• Ronald (8/5): Certainly worth a try. - It's a quaint property in a quaint little village. The staff (one of them might have been the owner) were welcoming, jovial, and fun to be around. The rooms are in an unusual building behind the main structure and, while not luxurious, are very nice and comfortable. Breakfast was crowded and the service quite slow. Fortunately we were on holiday and in no rush.

The food was exceptional on the nights the chef was working - not easy Monday : Tuesday as there’s nothing in the village other than the Inn Too remote - literally have to drive to St Andrews to get supplies
• Erika (7/5): Good for one night, maybe not for two - For a one night stay the hotel meets the needs and is charming enough. Free parking is good, and it’s not too far from other places so it’s good to have a reduced rate compared to St. Andrew’s. For a multi-night stay I wouldn’t recommend it. We booked a king room, yet our bed was the size of a double/queen, and was not very comfortable. The breakfast is fine, but it’s extremely limited options, so for more than one day it’s not ideal. The staff are all very friendly, but if you have any service needs like receiving a parcel etc. a regular hotel or bigger Inn would be better.

Excellent breakfast with delicious eggs and friendly service Would have scored 9 or 10/10 but curtains were flimsy blinds which let in all the light at 6.30am...not ideal! Really should improve this as the rest of the room is great

• Christine (8/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable - The location is ideal for Kingsbarns beach and the Fife Coastal Path. The accommodation was very comfortable and the food excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
• Greig_7 (10/5): Such a lovely meal! - Staying nearby on holiday and had a lovely dinner. This was the antithesis of pub food. For a small establishment, the menu was quite varied (and more extensive than he on-line sample menu). The food was really fresh and tasty. My wife had the fish pie and I had panko breadcrumb chicken burger with satay sauce. I had the chocolate torte to finish and my wife had the panna cotta. All washed down with draught Ossian and Outcider. It was all absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, efficient and attentive and the chef is clearly very talented. Not the most comfortable environment, but in keeping with the architecture. Will certainly go back next time we are in the area.

• E5003AOgrahamt (10/5): A ‘salmon’ chanted evening!! - Our first time at the The Inn, Kingsbarns for a meal, while on holiday, We were met by really friendly staff and sat in the Snug room. My wife and I both ordered the Spinach, Broccoli and Stilton soup. Well it was so delicious and piping hot, it was accompanied by small toast pieces. If the main courses were as good as the starters we were in for a treat. And they were. My wife ordered the Salmon, on a bed of potatoes, green beans and tender stem, in an oyster sauce. I had the breaded haddock, chunky chips and salad. The haddock was the best I’ve ever tasted. My wife said the same about her meal too. We could use ‘wow’ a few times here, ha! ha! 10/10 for the new chef and 10/10 for the friendly staff. Thank you all so much. So obviously well recommended!
