Guest Reviews
- Ruby (4/5): - Beds were clean, however the room itself needed better cleaning-baseboards, tub. Had issues with shower working - had ‘duel’ handle that didn’t work.
Parking lot full of beer can caps, lots of construction workers staying there with late nights and early mornings. Owner/manager was very kind. But facility is in definite need of improvement.
- marissa (2/5): - Unfortunately this was a terrible stay. As a woman, walking from the lobby to my room was very scary. There was no lighting, and I was followed from on side of the building to the other, where my room was, by a man smoking. When I met my partner at the room, there was a large gap in the door and the top deadbolt did NOT lock. The floor was sticky, and my feet were black instantly. The bathroom was in disgusting condition and the water did NOT get hot. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed and not getting in the sheets, using our own pillows and sleeping bags, this place was bad. Upon entering the room it smelled like a heavy smokers room and we did notice the smoke alarm was missing and there was no phone. Around... 2 maybe 2:30 A.M. the fire alarm went off in either another room or another building. Called several times at the front desk and no one ever picked up. The alarm was NEVER turned off and around 5 A.M. after EXTREME frustration from it we left.
- Cornell (2/5): Despicable - The most despicable motel I've ever been at I just couldn't stay there so I got another hotel. It was despicable stinky despicable
- Michaela (6/5): - Had to mop and clean the floors and bathroom ourselves because of the amount of grime and dirt and the white towls we used to dry it up were dark grey when done.
- Tess (10/5): - Very clean, office staff was friendly, and made my check in easy. Room had a Coffee maker which is important for me. Unfortunately, wheni i checked out no one was there at 7:0o AM.
- Angela (10/5): - The property was okay, busy so hard to get a parking space at times. Trash was full outside. Parking area clean and lines are visible.
- Hannah (2/5): - Bathroom was absolutely disgusting, hair inside of toilet, hinges around the bottom of the toilet was absolutely foul. Door leading into room has a huge gap and can see through it. Door handle is about to pop off of the door. Room 111 to be exact. I have never felt so unsafe staying at a motel. Absolutely will never recommend.
- Julie (8/5): - It was close to a lot of different restaurants, even within walking distance. It was clean and smelled great!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Last minute plans - Was great at the last minute. Clean room and fast check in.
- Michael (6/5): - Clean. Lot of truck traffic on street. Inexpensive place to get off the road for a night though.
- Monica (4/5): - People drinking outside the rooms
- Hugo chavez (10/5): - Great place!
- Hugo chavez (10/5): - Great place
- rebecca (8/5): - clean, simple room at a very good rate. hot shower and Very friendly Staff
- David (10/5): - Limited parking. Great staff.
- Jacqueline (10/5): - I love how friendly they are!!
- Paulina (10/5): - Comfortable bed.
- Matt (10/5): - It was nice and quiet
- Tony (2/5): Not a good experience - The shower wouldn’t turn off. The pictures don’t match the room. It was very dirty. I had to go buy two blankets, one to lay on the bed and one to use. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.
- Eric (8/5): - Good place for the cost
- Laura (8/5): Exactly what we paid for - We were looking for a cheap room, clean, hot shower and bed…and this place checked all the boxes. Exactly what we were expecting for the low price we paid!
- Hugo chavez (10/5): - Comfortable, price was good just to pass by not bad. Only needed it to sleep since traveling for work
- Jay (2/5): - When we arrived he actually seemed to be a really nice gentleman. We got in to our room and immediately noticed 2 bathroom tiles loose. Our room flooded from the shower and toilet the night before check out and the manager says oh no not good what happened what did you do? Ugh, well im going to have to deal with this tomorrow in morming(our day to check out). Until i really insisted, he was not going to move us to a different room for the night. No, instead he tried telling us be sure and take stuff to car and just be careful when use bathroom tonight, maybe keep light on can see where you go so you no slip and fall.
- Bryan (10/5): Good stay - Nice quiet clean comfortable
- Ruby (2/5): - Property was very dirty, sleazy stinky, dirty blankets very uncomfortable beds never again will I ever stay here? I would not recommend this place not even for roaches.
- Brad (6/5): No heat - The heat was off in the room. So it was freezing cold. Only heat was a space heater and it did a very poor job. Temp was 58° when i wole up in the morning. Wont stay again.
- Helen (8/5): Adequate facility - It was adequate. Water in shower, however, was lukewarm so I declined to take a shower. And no lamp beside the bed for reading. Hosts were friendly enough.
- cynthia j (4/5): Very disappointed - It was a disgrace to the Rodeway name! Needs a major upgrade of paint, bathroom …… no wifi!!
It did have hot water :-)
- Larry (10/5): - Condition of property was excellent.
- Jlynn (8/5): - Stated breakfast available. None provided.
- Sharon (8/5): Economical, friendly, quiet. - Hotel clerk very helpful. There was a slow drain in the shower so I couldn't use it. Bed very comfortable. Not noisy like many other motels can be on a Saturday night. There could be brighter lighting at the desk, like a lamp.
- Jon (6/5): - Good wifi.
- Randall (4/5): - noisy, dirty.felt unsafe
- Judith (4/5): - They advertise free breakfast but they don't really have it.
- Ross (4/5): - Advertised a hot breakfast but upon arrival found that is no longer available. Will not be staying here again.
- Hariom (10/5): - Every thing was so supper
- Isaiah (8/5): - Very surprised for a motel. The bed was uncomfortable, but everything was clean and the staff was friendly. More comfortable beds would make this place really stand out, but it’s
- Lindsay (2/5): - Bed was very uncomfortable and could not get a restful sleep. Checked out a day early and found somewhere else to stay. The owner was very nice though.
- Sheila (10/5): - The 2 gentlemen who are managing the Rodeway INN are doing a wonderful job! It sparse on the outside but my room was impeccably clean amd welcoming. Immediate hot water w a shower chair. Coffee maker fridge. Really quiet amd comfy. A/c quiet. Next time I drive to/from BOI / PDX I'm staying here!! Rhabk tou kind sirs!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff, comfortable bed, reasonable cost
- Shawn (2/5): - I have never seen such a filthy hotel in my life! $177.00 a night and it was absolutely atrocious. I took several pictures of the filth. Boogers and other stuff on the walls. Carpets were dirty, the bathtub was filthy and there was a pair of underwear behind the refrigerator. I cannot believe that Expedia even represents this dive. We moved the next morning and I was credited for one day. Nothing was available that night due to the Pendleton Roundup going on. I should have been credited for the whole reservation. The manager said it was because the building was old. Yes it was, but that doesn't constitute filth. Unbelievable! Disgusting!
- Melissa (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff
- Dana (2/5): - The friendly staff was the best part. Other than that this place was just old with lots of stains and did not feel clean. The shower did not work properly. And the pillows were very flat. We had two nights booked and had just head home the second night because we felt like we could not stay there another night.
- Leesa (8/5): - It was a little cramped.
- Zak (8/5): No breakfast, but worth the stay - If you're looking for a no frills hotel with great water pressure, great HVAC, comfy bed and nice hardwood floors (i suppose the TV is decent too) stay here.
PSA:
1. I couldn't intially figure out the sink stopper, so informed the manager and he got right to letting his maintence guy know- the sink is jeery rigged below- pull down on the back end and the stopper pops up.
2. No breakfast since the panademic, so don't come here expecting food. (I did, but have leftover snacks)
3. In the room i stayed at the lamp was plugged into the socket where the microwave and frig are, so the lamp needed to be moved to the one closest to the bed so the microwave could be used- maybe housekeeping swapped the plugs for the appliances?
In light of these PSAs may your stay here be enjoyable as this property is decent as I'd stay here again
- Michael (8/5): - It’s a motel, and old, but it was clean and inexpensive. Front desk was very courteous and helpful.
- Kerie (4/5): - They advertised free continental breakfast. There was no breakfast. They should have something if it says so. The TV didn't work but I figured out how to get it to the channels took a bit of time. Plus they had a coffee maker but no cups. So no coffee.
- DIANA (2/5): - Was told travelers did not stay there, mostly workers..didnt know at time of booking..only picture of sign shown..didn't know if was safe after arriving but because booked on expedia a few hours before arrival, did non refundable..so was stuck...bathtub looked like never scrubbed, bathroom door very dirty..blankets old..sheets were clean, small dr office box of a few tissues Ridiculous.
- John (2/5): - No water in shower, no garbage can, missing lights, stained towels. I would rather have stayed in my truck!
- Sheri (4/5): Very disappointing and dirty - Not as Advertised - So disappointed having paid $170 for one night. Expected a better place. Online shows that it's newly remodeled, but I have no idea what was remodeled because the room was very dirty and everything looked well worn and used. Walls and floors were filthy. Baseboards in bathroom were gross. Bathtub looked like it had not been washed and needed a very deep scrub, so we did not feel comfortable enough to take a shower. No shampoo or kleenex tissues were in the room. Exposed light bulb on wall light fixture, no shade. Bugs all over the ceiling. Put leftover food from our dinner in the fridge overnight and in the morning there was a puddle of water from the freezer and food was room temperature and ruined. Continental breakfast was advertised and there was NO food or drinks available. Staff was apologetic when I mentioned all these things as I checked out the next morning, but I wonder if it will make them clean better or not. Should have stayed in my car.
- José (10/5): - It’s good and safety
- Thomas (2/5): Lack of choices - There was limited availability within 100 miles so we settled for this location. The carpet felt greasy and there was a pair of underwear from a previous guest left in the bathroom. Chose not to shower and leave at first light.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Warning do not stay here, very dirty bed. Sheets had hair from last guest in it and dirt.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Needs updating, carpet was stained and dirty looking. Sink had ugly stains, very flat pillows. No remote for TV
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I was seeking a clean, no frills room, just to sleep for the night. I got that, but website showed photos of newer rooms, basic amenities. The room was clean , that was about all. Ice machine wasnt working, breakfast was cancelled (found that a lot of places), and no hot water for shower. Phone was not working right.
- Faye (8/5): - Decent place. It was a place to sleep for the night and we mainly chose it because it was 1 story.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Something very dirty and smells bad There in that place everything is dirty and smelly I do not understand how agencies lend themselves to sell that so bad
- Deborah (2/5): Dirty room - The manager was pleasant. The room was filthy and run down. The bathroom was especially dirty and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for quite awhile.
- Dwayne (4/5): Fair but will not return unless updated. - The air conditioner stoped working and they gave me a different room. The AC units are not sized large enough for the high heat at this location. The service was good. The facility has not been updated and would be a big boost for the overall rating of this facility.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Lower end end property but friendly staff. Close to restaurants.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The place is always great to stay my issue is with you guys not sending knights inn the information I showed up and he did not have me reserved this the second time it happens worker was nice enough to still give me the same price
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The bathrooms havent been clean in Months! The ice machine was broke. Beds & pillows where worn out. Didnt redt well due to the filth of the restroom
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disppointed - The rooms were not clean very well overall I guess I got what I paid for although it was still not up to par with health conditions the heater in one room I rented did not work and management offered a electric heater. I will not be staying here ever again the room should have been free no maids were available due to the holidayVery disappointing I hope I get a refund
- Verified traveler (6/5): - place was an older motel but was clean and comfortable.
- Unhappy (2/5): - It was close to where we needed to go, however, the room was not worth the price that was chatged per night, it was dirty. We will never stay there again, and will be staying somewhere else next year.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Had to switch rooms because bed was filthy: blood and hair on pillow case. Did not take a shower: stall was filthy and white towels were khaki.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The owner was very kind and friendly. The room and bathroom could have been deep cleaned a bit more. There were new floors in our room which were beautiful. A good value for the price!
- Lucas (8/5): Inexpensive and quiet - The staff is very friendly, the motel is an older one in the area so the amenities are antiquated, but was very quiet and comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a cheap motel, old structure. Staff was very helpful, good bargain.
- Raven (10/5): Lovely stay! - quiet, cozy, and the perfect spot!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty sheets - Sheets were very dirty full of hair, they even smelled perfume. Who knows when was the last time they washed them. The floor bathroom was dirty. Front person was kind and offered to switch room but we left.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Towels need bleaching. Look like they were last used in a maintenance shop.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room had a broken sonk knob, big cracks around the door dirtu
- Kelley (6/5): Nicest of the cheapest? - The room was mostly clean, except for the corners, But the bed was clean, if a bit hard. The faucet handle came off the sink when we used it, but it was still usable--just broken. The breakfast was sweet rolls and muffins--neither which I could eat because of Celiac. Most motels that don't offer a hot breakfast at least offer some hardboiled eggs or yougurts in the fridge. But not this one. Also, the guy at the desk told me there were no Denny's or places like that in Hermiston, so the best we could do for breakfast was McDonalds. Guess what? On the way out of town, we found the Denny's. But in all fairness, he did say he was new to town, so he probably didn't know.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Dirty room, no towels, walls with stains floors with dirt and hair, tubs where disgusting hair in drains, and stained comforters.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Could been cheaper price for the quality of room.....
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Dirty sheets, unvacumed floor, dirty toilet seat... we had to go to Walmart to by pillows and blankets just to stay here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the large size of the bathroom. Wasn’t a fan of the continental breakfast.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Breakfast bar was a joke. Not open til 8:00.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Breakfast served at 8:00 am. Who waits until that hour to have a coffee?
Many motels are moving to 7:00 am but 8:00???
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not what it appeared - The property was recently purchased, the new owner is trying to upgrade. No ice due breakdown, the room was poorly cleaned, the continental breakfast available after 8am. We left at 7:30, the office still closed.
- Robert (10/5): - Great night
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I found the place and staff were great and willing to help me
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Front desk clerk is kind of rude. They were remodeling the building which they didn't bother to mention when I checked in, so it was very noisy.😏
- Burton (2/5): Spend more money, your wasting it here. - I now know that Wyndam Hotels does not check on there motels. If it was my system I would drop them. Dirty, filthy and soap and water with some elbow grease has never been applied. I wouldn't even shower cause I thought I'd get a disease. When I talked to my neighbor who also booked through Hotels.com he was of the same opinion as I. Last time I book with a Wyndam name attached to the hotel/motel name association. When they can't even locate your reservation, you know something is wrong. My neighbor also had the same result. I should have taken pictures, so you could assess yourself.!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ask to see the room first ... - The management seems to be trying to maintain a decent property but our experience was relatively unpleasant. The room was literally filthy, and the breakfast offered was simply poor quality baked goods... just FYI
- Patty (6/5): - This was a last minute stay and the only accommodations available. The staff was VERY NICE! The bathroom floor was noticeably dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a bit. The counters and night stands were very dusty also. After we cleaned up a bit it was okay and comfortable.
- Del (8/5): - Needs a step in front of door to enter motel room, has only one step but needs one more.
- tina (8/5): smile - Bed was very comfortable! The ONLY issue we had was the air conditioner. Once I put a towel in the 1 inch gap at the top, the room cooled nicely. Before that, the 103 degree weather was blowing in the room just above where the cold air from AC was coming out.
- Kenn (8/5): - The Owner was very nice and accommodating. Check in was fast and easy, since I had already paid. The small continental was alright... my only complaints, were 1the cereal being stale and that, maybe having more of a selection to choose from. The room was comfortable and quiet, but the AC unit could use some work. He did state that he had just taken over and did have plans in the future for renovations. For the money and for just a quick stay, I’d stay again
