- Sharon (10/5): Highly recommend Moberly Lodge and would definitely return if we were ever in Golden area again - We loved our stay at Moberly Lodge, the whole place is magnificent! The Lodge itself is the most beautiful big log cabin, the room was all we needed for a short stay, the outdoor Hot tub was beautiful to sit in and watch the snow fall, and the breakfasts were delicious! Lucille is an amazing Host! Nothing

- Chad (8/5): This is a bed and breakfast. - This was a last minute booking for us. We were traveling the canadian rockies and were in golden and this was the only place left. The staff is wonderful and the place is clean. Keep in mind there is no TV, no fridge, no microwave. But for those seeking the bed and breakfast experience you will love this place, it is beautiful.

- Mark (9/5): Loved it! Thank you - see you again sometime. - This place, the staff, the food and THE LOCATION are absolutely fantastic! Breakfast was stunning and freshly prepared each morning. Nancy was so nice and helpful, we couldn’t thank her enough. Very good chance we’ll be back here in a few years and we’d probably stay longer. If the rooms had a TV and a refrigerator, it would be 10/10 (communal TV and refrigerator available). The location is a drive from town, so if you want a night on the town prepared for a premium priced local taxi - we didn’t bother, too exhausted from our days out exploring. We didn’t bother eat in town and there are a few brilliant places to eat and drink in downtown. Loved the place!

Also room and beds were nice and the patio simply great, except for some moskitos... Breakfast was splendid, first a mouthwatering presentation, second from its taste and composition and last but not least a good portion ! Congratulations. We would come again. The room is rather small, and some smaller things like laydown space could be improved.

The kitchen has everything you could need and we enjoyed the board games and comfortable bed! Beautiful stay just overpriced for the level of comfort and amenities.
- WALID (5/5): Beaucoup beaucoup de choses à améliorer et notre séjour ne valait surtout pas 200 euros la nuitee. - Le personnel était très sympathique et accueillant et surtout ur à l’écoute. Parking gratuit et spacieux. Le petit déjeuner était trop minimaliste, pas de buffet et n était pas suffisant. La chambre était trop petite, on passait notre temps à marcher sur les valises et sur nos affaires. Trop de moustiques qui nous dévoraient à chaque sortie de voiture. Pas de service de chambre journalier. Pas de frigo dans la chambre. Les prises la plupart de fonctionnaient pas (pas de courant). Un mini petit gel douche de 10 ml pour 2 personnes pour 3 jours ?? Les équipements (savon, gel douche …) n’étaient pas suffisants. Trop de bruit le matin à partir de 6h30 on étaient réveillés de notre gré à cause du bruit et des personnes qui parlaient à la réception aucune isolation.

- Corinna (9/5): Ein wunderbares Haus, mit sehr netten Inhabern. Wir würden dort wieder übernachten. - Das Holzbohlenhaus ist wunderschön. Die Zimmer sind eher klein und schön, aber man hat einen wunderbaren großen Aufenthaltsraum. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett und immer erreichbar. Sie geben tolle tagesaktuelle Tipps, wo es sich am besten wandern lässt. Das Frühstück haben wir vor Ort zugebracht. Es war sehr lecker. Jeden Tag wurde etwas anderes frisch zubereitet. Ein herrlicher ruhiger Ort im Grünen. Bis Golden fährt man ca. 10 min.

- Kevin (9/5): Stilvolle Lodge mit klasse Führstück - Sehr schöne Unterkunft im Blockhausstil, komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und jeden Tag gab es etwas anderes. Der Hot Tub lohnt sich auch und war ein tolles Extra. An sich war es sauber, nur der Fußboden wurde wahrscheinlich vergessen zu putzen.

Beautiful and peaceful stay and room 6 opened up to a quiet and somewhat secluded section of the wraparound deck which made for a relaxing place to sit after a day full of adventures. The food was amazing and prepared for us each morning by Lucille and Nancy and our gracious hosts took great care of us while we were there. You should check it out.

We prepaid 400 CAD per night, drove 5 hours and the owner told us to get out because our puppy was with us. We tried to explain that Booking confirmed pet friendly stay and then he said he doesn’t care about what Booking say. We asked if we could use a washroom and his response was there is no public washroom in the hotel, so nice and hospitable he is

- Carter (10/5): Cozy, comfortable, clean and close to town, hot tub was a great amenity to utilize after a day of boarding!! - reasonably close to ski hill. quiet. I can’t say to much negative about the property however one nice future improvement for guests would be to have a ski locker/board storage on the front porch this would make it more convenient rather then having to bring the gear in a leaning them up inside to dry and then having to clean up and water left from equipment.

Scraped our windshield in the morning after an icy night. Many flies buzzing around inside when we arrived, I spent an hour+ killing about 10 which was not my favorite use of vacation time, we politely complained about this and hosts didn't respond. Didn't provide breakfast the first morning even though we paid for it, I guess we were supposed to ask... Blinds didn't fully cover 2 windows in bedroom so privacy was somewhat compromised. Wifi was pretty bad.

- Julia (9/5): Gem of a cabin in stunning location - Fabulous cabin in a stunning location in the mountains and woods above Golden. Great location for visiting several national parks and having Golden nearby for handy shopping etc (lot more convenient and accessible than busy Banff). The cabin was extremely well fitted out and beautifully designed. We loved the peace and quiet plus we could BBQ on the balcony set amongst the woods.

Mosquitoes were everywhere and known to be by the owners that that time of year and day - it would have been great to have some plug ins or deterrent in the room, and around the property. As soon as you parked and got out, you were covered.

Otherwise excellent facilities, and wonderful hosts. Due to an error on the expedia site, we were told that breakfast was provided when in fact this is not a service they provide, but they felt bad and provided us with freshly baked, warm, delicious strawberry scones that more than made up for the error.

- Claire (10/5): Hidden gem - Loved this hidden gem spot so much! Beautiful cabins, nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable beds. Peaceful and quiet location, friendly owners and staff. Enjoyed the hot tub and beautiful mountain view.

Only thing is that we did not know the power went out at night so was a little caught off guard with that. Overall very happy with our experience and would come back again.

- Kimberly (10/5): We were exhausted when we arrived and the Moberly was perfect for relaxing - I felt pampered. I didn’t want to leave. Our room was up the stairs with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The chairs with Ottomans has a curate coffee pot in between with nice glass coffee cups.

She sorted out an early breakfast for us which she went over a - Moberly Lodge is set just outside of Golden in beautiful surroundings. The room itself was well apportioned with a comfy bed with a decent en-suite bathroom. We only stayed a night but was a fantastic experience.

- Julia (10/5): Wonderful comfy stay surrounded by nature - Very comfy accommodation a a modern block house. Rooms were bright and nice, common sitting room with a big fire place was great. The house is located idyllically in the woods with a big patch of lawn around. Breakfast was also great and lovingly made.

Cabin was stocked well and very comfortable for our family of 4. The property is very private and easy to find driving from Golden. Soft linens and towels. Wished we had time to enjoy the fire pit but enjoyed the BBQ on our front deck, amazing views!

- Or (8/5): Nice and quiet place - We liked the rustic design and the beautiful grounds, although thought the garden could use more love. The breakfast was great, and we liked the shared space at the ground floor. The facilities are nice, but for the price we expected more. The bathroom has a very low water pressure and doesn't have a handle. There wasn't a proper cabinet in the bathroom and the room was very cold. The room itself is very simple. A gas fireplace and a fridge would have been great additions. The bouncy bed wasn't very convenient and there was a wood beam just over our heads; my husband hit his head several times (but he is very tall; it's probably ok for most people).

- Sarah (9/5): Perfect for a short stay in golden. - Lovely facilities. Comfy bed. Spacious clean bathroom. Hot tub on the deck. Great staff. Tasty breakfast. Can be noisy with adjoining neighbours. Our room was also off the main reception area, so loud in the mornings. If noise bothers you, bring some ear plugs or ask for a room away from the reception area.

It's the kind of retreat that makes you wish you had booked more nights. The included home-cooked breakfast is delicious!! The rooms are incredibly cozy, and the beds are supremely comfortable. And Lucille and Jonathon are wonderful hosts. We loved every aspect of our stay. The living room area is the perfect spot to unwind. Whether you want to dive into one of the many books available, enjoy a fun game, or simply relax on the sofa in front of the fireplace, this space makes you feel right at home. Moberly Lodge offers a truly exceptional experience that we wholeheartedly recommend.
