- Ian (10/5): Away for work - This was a 2-night stay for work. Good communication with John before arrival. Provided with a paid parking ticket for the railway station car park (less than 5 minute walk) on arrival. I had a room 3 facing the garden, great room, comfortable bed, good ensuite, good TV and WiFi. Breakfast is included in the price, but due to my work commitments I had to leave before the timed start of breakfast of 8:15am. I was provided with Bacon sandwich and bottle of water for me leaving each morning at 7:30am - this is great customer service! Places to eat and take away within walking distance. Allowed to use the dining room if bringing food back - which was way nicer than eating in the bedroom.

The rooms are beautifully clean and well maintained with everything you need from tea, coffee and drinking chocolate to hairdryer flannels, towels and much more, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was everything and more! Multiple cereals, Fresh homemade fruit salad with 10 fruits in it!, yoghurt and honey to a full very tasty English breakfast, toast and preserves galore. We will definitely be returning to the Ryedale on our next visit. Thank you John and Hayley for being the perfect hosts. Nothing

The breakfast was brilliant, lots of options to choose from and freshly cooked. The room was lovely! The location was great, right by the station! We used public transport to explore the island and found it to be a great location to get around from (there’s a bus stop right outside the front door)! Having access to the fridge and communal dining area was really good as we could bring back takeaways and enjoy them at a table after a long day of exploring ! Perfect mix of hotel and apartment as we got hotel luxuries but apartment convenience :) 10/10 stay, we’d love to come back can’t fault it !

- Michael (9/5): Superb - All over it was very good for location quality cleanliness welcoming value for money and single room was very much needed to keep value for money. Many more properties should cater for solo traveller very friendly hosts. The one negative thing about location of the property was the bus stop outside of house and the main road became quite nosey in the morning but the owners can't do much about this problem but that goes with the convince of the location.
- Emelyn (10/5): Best bed and breakfast in Shanklin! - The place is amazing and the owners are accomodating. Close to the beach. Few steps away from the train station. Bus stops at the front of B&B.

The couple that run it (Dave and Harley) were very pleasant.
For people like me who love gardening, they have a beautiful back garden. It's private but was allowed to go in on request. Guests are not allowed to eat their takeaway meals in the room. The dining is always open anyway.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Super clean and fresh, lovely hosts and fab breakfasts, and great for transport and beach
- Yasmin (10/5): Fantastic place to stay
Brilliant place to stay, clean, good location, fantastic breakfast - The B&B was easy to find 1 min from the small train station. Very warm welcome from the owners. The rooms are a brilliant size, very clean, they provided huge soft towels and shower gel, we had a garden view. The rooms were very quiet and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast choice is vast and served with a smile. The breakfast products are fresh and tasty. The owners take pride in what they do, it's easy to see by how lovely the B&B is. They offered lots of local information. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back. The sandy beach is also close by, a short walk with nice bars with fantastic food for dinner. The train from shanklin is good value for money and takes you to the main tourist attractions and beautiful towns. I also got a discount for the ferry crossing which the owners of the B&B booked for me. Hayley & John thank you so much and see you soon

- Martin (10/5): We want to go back to stay again - The place is a pure delight, from the welcome to the good bye, friendly and truly accommodating, the breakfast choice was terrific, the room we used was comfortable and fans available for the hot weather. Parking was nearby and tickets provided to use it as a part of the booking. The only very minor fault we could find was power sockets without USB but we had charging plugs, and they keep some spare too, but something for the future to possibly incorporate into the bedrooms
