• Shreya (10/5): The best place I’ve stayed in all of Vietnam! - The best place I’ve stayed in all of Vietnam! Don’t even think twice, just book it. It’s a 5-8 minute walk from all the action. But the location is what did it for me. Away from the noise yet close enough from everything. I stayed in the superior double room, which overlooked the river. Room was super clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well every night here. I stayed here for 4 nights so I got an opportunity to explore at my own pace which was so nice! I loved coming back to the room every time, it was like my little oasis of calm and peace. The host family is super kind and wonderful! You will be taken really good care of. Great value for money. 100/10 recommend staying here! Everything was great!

They were flexible for very late check in. Dir my laundry there, very cheap again and available in a day and done perfectly! The host was so kind and helpful in organizing transportation and bike rentals for us. The breakfast was delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The location was very close to old downtown but yet our street was quiet, especially at night. The facility even had a small refreshing pool. One of our best bookings ever. I highly recommend this place.

The host was incredibly lovely and welcoming, really making us feel at home and well looked after throughout our visit. The view over the river is amazing, and the pool was perfect for cooling down after a day of exploring. We especially loved the rooftop terrace – such a great spot to relax. The family were so kind and friendly, always providing fresh water each day and going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The location is also perfect – just a short 5-minute walk to the old town, yet peaceful and relaxing by the river. Couldn’t recommend this place enough – 100% would stay again! Nothing!
• P (10/5): Een 10 is niet genoeg - Als ik een 11 kon geven, dan had ik het gedaan. Wat een vriendelijkheid! Van de hele familie. En zo behulpzaam. Zelfs na vertrek nog een appje met de vraag of de bus (die we via haar hadden geregeld) naar wens was geweest, en op tijd was aangekomen.
• KAORU (10/5): 喧噪の街中を、徒歩１０分だけ離れ、のんびり静かに過ごせました。 - 川が見えるところに泊まりたかったので、こちらにしました。旧市街の川沿いは、観光客で騒がしく、夜も騒音がひどいのですが、反対側のこちらは、ゆったり静かな川の景色を見て過ごせます。 部屋によっては、川側にならないので、リクエストしてみたらいいと思いますよ。 冷蔵庫が木箱状のボックスに入っているため、排熱の逃げ場がなく熱くなっています。開けると熱風が噴出して、結局、冷蔵庫は切ってしまいました。加工して、後ろの板を抜いてはいかがでしょうか。

• Suzanne (8/5): Friendly family homestay. - The family who owns and runs the homestay are very attentive and nice and helped us book transport to and from Da Nang as well as to Ba Na Hills. They would greet us once a day with an ice cold water bottle as we returned after our walk, which was very much appreciated. Thank you. The pool is a welcome relief in the heat of the day. The room is large and the internet works well. We had a peaceful view out over the river where fishing boats passed through. I liked there were 2 chairs to sit on. The rooms were well insulated for noise. I would recommend closing the curtains fully when you leave the room. This will keep the room cooler, and makes the air conditioning able to cool the room quicker when you return. Adding 2 more large pillows to the bed would have made it easier to sit and read in.

Located just a 5-minute walk from the busy center, this place offers the perfect balance of proximity to the action and tranquility. Despite being close to the crowds, the homestay remains incredibly peaceful and quiet, making it a perfect retreat. The view from my room was absolutely stunning – I had a beautiful panorama of the river, lush jungle, and mountain peaks, with banana palms adding a tropical touch. It was so serene to wake up to this natural beauty every day. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They assisted with everything, from laundry service and arranging airport shuttles to recommending tours. They even have bicycles available for rent, which was a great way to explore the area at my own pace. Breakfast each morning was a treat, with delicious Vietnamese food, and the coffee was some of the best I've had during my travels. If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay with warm, welcoming hosts, this is the spot! I loved every moment of my stay and will definitely return if I’m ever in Hoi An again.

Great location in easy walking distance to the night markets. Chi was very helpful and assisted in booking tickets and taxis for fair prices. The pool was a must on very hot days. Also, breakfast options were available at a very reasonable price and delicious.

Arriving here they immediately made us very welcome, and staying at Riverlife made our stay in Hoi A very special. I reckon this is one of the best Homestay in Hoi An, and everything is immaculate. Yet it has a nice family feel. We had a beautiful and spotless modern room with a very comfortable bed and we slept well. It is just a 5 min stroll to the night market and another 5 mins on to hoi an centre. We liked the location as it was very quiet and away from the noisy bars, but an easy walk to town. Chi offers a beautifully presented breakfast, at a good price compared to Hoi An. Everything was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed our breakfast there, and she accommodates for early or late breakfast. Her Cao Lao is particularly good. Thank you Chi and her family for such a great start to our trip to Vietnam. Nothing

The breakfast were delicious and the area is very quiet but still close to the old quarter, only a 10 minutes walk. Only a couple minutes walk you have a very nice view of the river and the sunset is amazing there. Eventhough the pool was small, I truely enjoyed it everyday. It was perfect.

Lokationen er også helt perfekt. 5 minutters gang til den gamle by og væk fra alt larm. Man får virkelig meget for pengene. Der er intet at sætte en finger på!

The bathroom was clean (although the small shower partition didn’t do much to keep the floor dry). The location was great; the homestay is tucked down a quiet street just far enough away from the noise but convenient enough to walk to the hustle and bustle.

I have stayed here 3 Times on my visits to Vietnam. The rooms are clean, modern, quiet and large. The location is an easy walk to the centre of old town and a short ride to the beach. • Anonymous (9/5): Very nice Homestay with clean room and friendly hosts - We stayed 4 days at the Homestay and were really happy with it. The room is clean with a good air condition. The shower is separated from the toilet by a little wall. This way the toilet and bathroom sink is not completely wet after you take a shower, which you will see quite often in Vietnam. The hosts are the friendliest persons we met so far on our trip in Vietnam. They were always available when we needed something. They also offer a bike rental and can show you a place not far from the Homestay, where you can rent a motorbike for 100k We really don’t have much to complain about. If I have to mention a point, then maybe the fact that the windows are quit thin. That’s why you can hear the motorbikes in the morning. But this is something you will experience everywhere in Vietnam

Breakfast was tasty and delicious and the location of accommodation is perfect ,quiet at night and just a few minutes walk to all the night life, you can rent bicycles for £1 a day and also mopeds, host will organize trips/taxis for you if you want them would have no hesitation in staying here again and recommend it to anyone All perfect

• Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was great, away from the crowds and quiet. There was no patio for breakfast as pictured in description. Breakfast was served in stuffy room with no A/C or open ventilation. One of the women stood directly behind me the entire time I ate my breakfast on two mornings so I opted out on last day. The same woman also stood over me as I tied my shoe on the steps every day. My room stated it had a garden view. There was no garden. I looked out at a roof and an unkempt yard.

Lovely family who run this Homestay, and very helpful. Breakfast was nice and we also used them for our airport transfers. The room we had was well appointed and the whole place was spotless. Would highly recommend.
• Gary (6/5): New Tourist Assault Weapon - The Riverlige Homestay is a very neat clean comfortable place to stay and the hosts are absolutely top notch. But about 4PM everyday about 200 bus loads of Chinese tourists are trucked in from Danang and it is difficult to move about freely. It is a shame as Hoi an is a beautiful place but it cannot handle anywhere near the current amount of tourists arriving. But they are building more hotels everywhere so more people are expected.
• Dennis (10/5): A very comfortable stay in a good location - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at River Life. The family was always available and eager to make my stay enjoyable. Upon my arrival, I was given a huge plate of exotic fruit, most of which I couldn't identify, but it was really, really good. The location was quiet, yet within easy walking distance of everything you would want to see or do. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby, as well as good street food. There was a bus to take me to Da Nang Airport for 110000 dong(<$5) that picked me up right at the door. I would definitely stay here again.
• Jodelle (10/5): Best stay in Vietnam. - Loved this small family business. Chi and her family live on premises and front desk is always staffed. Arrived just 4 days after a cyclone that flooded the lobby to 3’ Yet everything was sparkling clean and ready for me. I was sick for part of my visit and can’t say enough good about Chi’s care and concern for me. She made me soup, arranged for meds from pharmacy. I felt so ill n vulnerable but I was safe in her hands. No elevator but stairs were easy. I was two floors above lobby with a wonderful river view from my bed n a small balcony. Roomy and clean. Very comfortable. Easy walk to old town. Endless choices nearby for food n shopping n photos. You could not make a better choice.

• Aaron & Unan (10/5): Home Away From Home - We cannot say enough good things. My wife & I arrived in Hoi An at 6am from Mûi Né. Being used to strict check-in times, we taxi’d to the hotel to get an idea of location & would walk around ‘til 2pm. As we were walking away, the doors opened & without hesitation, Thi checked us in 8 hours early!! No questions, no extra charges. It’s located on a quiet road away from the hustle of old town but only a quick 5-10 minute walk to get to town. There are a few shops & restaurants just down the street. Thi helped to arrange transportation to wherever we needed. They have onsite bicycles to rent for <$2/day, which we took around old town & the beach. When we got sand & dirt all over our Teva sandals, Thi not only washed them for us, but she also took a toothbrush to them & got all the sand out. She rewashed them for us at checkout so they’d be fresh for our continued journey. Very sweet & unexpected. The rooms are of typical size & very clean. The beds have been the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on. My wife loved two small ‘Asian’ blankets that was provided. Breakfast was an additional cost. We found having breakfast there was cheaper or comparable to eating out. The hospitality is nothing but amazing. It was apparent to us that they take pride in their business. And making their guests feel welcomed & taken care of is 100% genuine.
• Jacky (10/5): Loved our stay! - Stayed 1 night in the standard double room with river view. Room was clean with a small balcony and a nice view of the river, the room itself is massive for 2 people (Note - This homestay does not have a lift). The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk to the Ancient Town, with awesome eateries on the other end of the island. The family that run this place are what make this place stand out. I have stayed at many budget and high end hotels around the world and have not found any service more friendly and hospitable than here. In particularly, Thi, the owner, is lovely. On arrival we were greeted by Thi and she gave us a rundown of the surrounding area, shops, restaurants and organised cheap transport for us to Da Nang airport for the following day. She walked us up to our room at which point she realized the light in the bathroom was flickering, she had the light bulb changed immediately for us. Throughout our short stay here she was nothing but friendly and warm every time we saw her. We only stayed here for 1 night but it has left a lasting impression on us. There was nothing i could fault about the room or the service. If you are looking for a place to stay near the Ancient Town, i would recommend skipping the more expensive hotels and staying here. The next time i am in Hoi An i will definitely be staying here again!

• Thomas (10/5): Wonderful place to stay. - This was one of my favourite stays in a very long time. Great service with things such as travel assistance to and from Da Nang, assistance with tour to My Son, tips for restaurants and sightseeing. They even gave me a ride to meet my tour after I slept in. Riverview room was great, quiet with a little balcony. A welcome oasis just a short walk from the hustle and bustle of Hoi An. Highly recommended.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Homestay a little out of the way. - You pay $4 extra each for a simple breakfast with a few options like yogurt, fruit, musli, vietnamese pancakes, or vietnamese lunch dishes like soup. We had tiny little ants in the room after the second night, in the bathroom they liked my shampoo, and I woke to them under my pillow, may have liked my cookie crumbs. We were on 2nd floor, no elevator, not a big deal though. Hot in the house, but cool in airconditioned bright room. Near karaoke bar, could hear them for an hour each night around 8-9pm. Cleaning service available daily, Alocate a good 20 min walk into town.

Booked 1 night; wish I could have stayed longer. The homestay is located about 3 minutes walk from Hoi An old quarter, very near a taxi stand and along a street with one resort spa looking place for bus tourists, but mostly local homes & cafes.
• Sean (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Hoi An - Riverlife was more than I could have hoped. The family living on the residence is very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to spend some time with them. The room was very clean. The AC and wifi worked great and the bed was huge. They have on site motorbike and bike rental for fair prices. The location is a little bit out of the main walking town of Hoi An, but my wife and I enjoyed the short 5-10 minute walk to the center of town. Since it is on a small island in the middle of the river, there is very little traffic compared to the North side of town. Would stay again without hesitation.
