- Marit (6/5): Nice stay, good for 1 night - The room itself was nice and the service was good, we had to switch from 2 person to 3 person room and they helped us really well A lot of staff did not speak English a lot, and we were the only tourists there, it felt a bit awkward.

- Sally (8/5): Lovely rooms and pool - It had very peaceful atmosphere on arrival, they helped us check in early. Lovely pool. Clean rooms. Staff very helpful and kind. Some facilities out of use I.e gym and pool table. Buffet was often cold/luke warm.
- Aita (7/5): Great value stay - This is a small property near Yala. A note of caution: while it’s advertised as a 5-star hotel, it really isn’t—but I was aware of that from the price and the pictures, so I didn’t come in with unrealistic expectations. To my surprise, the stay turned out better than expected. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, with a refreshing drink and a cool towel. The room was standard but spacious, clean, and came with a balcony overlooking the pool. We had the half board option, and the dinner buffet was good. There weren’t too many choices, but the quality was nice and everything was enjoyable. A big plus was that the hotel provided us with a breakfast box at 4 a.m. for our safari, which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. Overall, considering the competitive price, I think this property delivers great value and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a fair price near Yala.

- Family globe-trotter (9/5): - Great hotel, nice room with enough space for 3 people, really enjoyable swimming-pool. The restaurant was nice. Staff very friendly but sometimes communication was difficult as some of them did not speak a really fluent English. But they tried their best for each of our demand.
- majitha thanujaya (2/5): - Toilet Malfunctions – The toilets in the room were not functioning properly. They were not flushing or refilling, causing significant inconvenience. No Room Change Offered – Despite reporting the issue, the hotel did not offer an alternative room or any assistance to resolve the matter. Language Barrier – None of the staff members were able to communicate in English, making it very difficult to get help or explanations. No Buffet Service – The hotel failed to open the buffet as expected, with no prior notice or explanation. Disturbance at Night – There were multiple incidents of people knocking on our door in the middle of the night, which was alarming and unacceptable. Poor Service – Overall, the service provided by the staff was unprofessional and unhelpful. Random Door Knocking – We felt unsafe due to unexplained and random knocking on our door throughout the night.

Location was excellent as close to a few restaurants and Yala which meant we didn’t have to wake too early for the early morning safari. Ground floor room standards were variable, we requested a move due to insects in one of our rooms due to a gap in the door. Hotel staff were friendly, responsive and helped resolve the issue.

- Krisztina (9/5): Superb - The staff is amazing, very nice, very helpful, always smiling, everyone is so polite. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the pool is fantastic. They took care of our transfer from the previous hotel and also organized a full day safari to Yala, so we couldn't ask anything they wouldn't help with. We had a very pleasant stay.

- Ken (7/5): Good hotel but..... - Nice pool, well appointed rooms. Pleasant staff. Decent picnic breakfast for safaris. Hotel messed up transfer for us sending an inadequate vehicle. Had to send a meal back which was badly overcooked. Internet was intermittent and when it did work was painfully slow. No hot water for two out of three days. Staff are pleasant but many did not understand simple things in English. Eg we ordered a coke and nearly got kottu, a meal, instead. This is our third Sri Lanka visit and we know things can be slow but in a hotel that purports to be a cut above collectively we felt a bit disappointed. To their credit the hotel did reduce our drinks and food bill to apologise but we would much rather that everything was done properly.

Great communication to organise the Safari and other general advice. Staff were great with small kids too. The dinner start time was too late (7.30pm) for kids.
- Corinne (9/5): Amazing stay, had a really great time! - We loved the location of this hotel. It was beautiful. Our main purpose was to go for Safari, and this hotel is perfectly located from Yala National Park. They even packed us breakfast at 5am, so we can take it with us to Safari. We spent an afternoon at the pool, (and had it all to ourselves which was also a bonus). The food was great, and we had the buffet there. The staff were all amazing. Everyone that worked there, were quite young, but incredibly professional, polite and kind, and they all really went out of their way to help us. Everything was great.
- Gemma (7/5): Has potential but staff are woefully undertrained - Excellent pool clean and great temperature Clean rooms Grounds staff keep the property looking tidy Had booked a suite and when arrived had to argue to get the room we had booked tried to give smaller room. Food was overcooked (chicken) and undercooked cold in the middle (fish) staff argued and said it was fine and put their fingers in it to check temperature! There is a monastery next to hotel that plays chanting music through a tannoy for 1 hour at 4:45 am ( ok if you are getting up for early safari) Breakfast was the worst we encountered in Sri Lanka in a two week trip when we asked to do laundry and handed them a bag they proceeded to try and empty all our dirty laundry onto the floor of the public reception to count the items and fill Out the sheet this is both embarrassing and unhygienic we quickly said no and gathered up our laundry - other hotels do by the kilo. First afternoon (sat) the hotel was run by a generator which is very noisy and the fumes from the exhaust pumped out directly behind top floor entrances so it fills the rooms with diesel fumes

Our room was available an hour before check in time and we received a breakfast pack for our 5am safari collection which was great. Couple of minor points. The battery was missing in the safe so couldn’t use. Bathroom light bulb was out but could manage with over mirror light. WiFi not great in room, worked well on patio.

- Vasilis (5/5): Not a 4 star hotel.. - the staff was kind ( a bit inexperienced and unable to contact in English though) and we also enjoyed a very tasty dinner In our room, even though it was comfortable, one of the shower toilets was damaged, as well as the bed shits. generally too many insects.. flies, mosquitoes, and the corridor leading to the room was full of ants! also, the deal with which we booked the room was 84euros, and heading there our day of arrival we noticed on booking that for the same room the price was 34euros..

- Huali (2/5): - We had terrible experience here. As the photos on the website look great, we booked four rooms for one night stay in this hotel. Actually, the hotel looks real nice and rooms are big but the equipments and service here were nightmares. One room, the washroom hasn't been cleaned with full trash bin. One room, the A/C was broken dropping the water on the bed. One room,the supply of water was suddently cutted when we were getting shower and it happened once again in the morning. Almost no wifi signal here. We spend 10 amazing days in Sri Lanka except this hotel. 奉劝各位中国游客千万不要被图片蒙骗，事实上，酒店的外观的确不错，房间也很大。但设施和服务简直是噩梦。我们为了去yala national park订了1晚四间房。一间房的厕所没有打扫，垃圾桶都是之前住客留下的垃圾；一间房的空调漏水，滴在床单上，床单也很脏，和酒店反应后只是换了床单，再把靠墙的床往外挪到了房间的中央；我们的房间晚上洗澡到一半停水，致电后过了近十分钟才来水，第二天早上同样的情况再次发生。在这里留下点评，希望不要有别的中国住客再次上当。
- Adrian (8/5): Good place to chill for safari-goers - This place has an awesome pool and good, clean rooms. The location is a short tuk tuk ride from Main St. but otherwise close to... not much. Not that there's much to be close to in Tissa. This hotel is a great base for safaris since you have a sweet pool to go back to after or before. The hotel restaurant is generally very good, so eat here. (The places around the corner suggested by certain guide books are pretty bad and wickedly overpriced.) Some areas of service needs improvement, but it seems the management has an honest if not entirely helpful outlook on this. Don't expect too much.
