• Katerina (10/5): - Fantastic dive resort, on a paradise island. We rented the vila, which had its own private beach and a huge garden. It was absolutely amazing.
• Susan (9/5): Snorkellers this place is not just a divers domain - go, even if for a couple of nights. - All staff are so wonderful. Service and care was top notch. I love snorkelling and my hubby loves monkeys- and Sangat delivered in spades. We went on a half day snorkelling around the island (organised at the resort) and snorkelled a boat wreck, saw an amazing Coral Garden only available to Sangat guests and went in the islands hot spring via kayak which was for a few minutes through the clear water mangroves. We were in the water 20 mins after the tour started! Best tour of our entire trip. Guide and captain were awesome. The resort is unique in being eco but very comfortable. There is a pool table, bars, great food (all meals included). The monkeys were great to see and watch but not annoying (we did not feed them as asked). We aren’t divers but heard good things from other guests. Tepid showers were fine. We knew that there were no fridges, I do love having one but thats a known thing you can’t have. They do offer ice.

Si vous connaissez la série White Lotus je dirais que ça y ressemble fortement. - L’endroit est paradisiaque et le personnel est très accueillants et aux petits soins ! Vous pourrez y faire de la plongée, du kayak, du snorkelling mais peu d’autres activités présentes sur les lieux.

The beach, snorkeling, the house reef, diving, boat tour, and kayaking to coral garden and hot spring were great. The food is delicious and it’s nice to not think about what I’m ordering and just have a bunch of delicious options to choose from. Even the food on the boat tour was good and they made cute palm trees with the fruit. This island is a much slower pace than the rest of my trip and it was nice to be slower for a bit. I stayed in the Kalacuchi villa which was at the top of a hill. Nice to have AC. Sounds like the other units don’t have AC. The shower was warm which was nice after diving. The WiFi it that room is hit or miss. If it doesn’t work you can just go down and chill in a hammock near or in the restaurant. Fun rock bar, surprising cave I stumbled upon while walking and interesting walkway along a rock. Monkeys came to chill on my deck which was fun to get good pics and videos of them playing. WiFi could be improved.

• Held (10/5): schlichter, subtiler Luxus. Wer Dubai erwartet ist hier am exakt falschen Platz - Bomben Lage. Auf der ganzen Insel gibt es das Resort. Sonst keinerlei Tourismus. Über einen Steg entlang der Küste erreicht man noch ein spektkulär gelegenes Privathaus. Die Anlage besticht durch subtilen Luxus, den man erst Vor Ort spürt. Ich habe mich bemüht, aber das Einfangen auf einem Foto ist mir leider nicht gelungen. Totale Ruhe, feine Vollverpflegung. Kein Partykrach. Wieso die Preise (Preis/Leistung/Vollverpflegung) so günstig sind, ist mir ein Rätsel, aber was solls: Ein Grund mehr sich zu freuen ich gehe davon aus, dass die Zielklientel Business people sind. Das WLAN geht nur im Restaurant. Philipin Telecom geht ebenfalls nicht. So ein miesen Internet-Service ist mir unbekannt. Gehört schleunigst geändert.

• Jacquelyn (10/5): This place was beautiful and we hope to someday return. And we aren’t divers! - We enjoyed our stay very much! The staff was amazing; the food was amazing; property incredibly beautiful; and the island hoping tour was breathtaking! Highly recommend! We stayed in the hilltop bungalow. We wish there was handrails along the very steep stairs.
• BOISSIERES (10/5): Paradis sur terre - Tout ! La localisation de l’hôtel est juste époustouflante, coincé entre une plage magnifique d’un bleu turquoise et une falaise avec une végétation luxuriante. Les bungalows sont confortables et sont équipés de moustiquaires. Nous avions un bungalow côté mer et la vue était très agréable. Les repas sont très bons et variés et le staff est d’une extrême gentillesse. Le transfert depuis l’aéroport ou Coron Town pour atteindre l’hôtel est compris ainsi que le transfert pour partir de l’hôtel. La wifi ne marche que dans l’espace commun pour se restaurer. Il n’y a pas de wifi dans les chambres mais en soit c’est largement surmontable. Enfin, l’hôtel pourrait accueillir une salle de sport et ce sera plus que parfait.
• Louis (10/5): - Le cadre parfait pour qui veut se détendre et profiter dun resort all inclusive. Le personnel est au petit soin pour nous. Les petites villas sont très mignonnes, fonctinnelles et agréables. Le snorkling dans la baie est incroyable, je vous reccomande de louer dès le début les masques et tubas. On s'y sent vraiment bien. On peut aussi louer des kayaks pour faire aller voir en 30min les sources chaudes dans les mangroves ou aller voir les récifs coraliens un peu plus loin de la baie. Les repas sont très bons avec peu de choix, c'est un plus pour eviter le gaspillage mais cela peut gêner aussi vu le prix de la nuitée. La boutique souvenir est très bien. Bien qu'on puisse trouver moins cher en ville, la qualité des produits est au rendez-vous. Peut-être le rapport qualité prix. Vu le prix de la nuit on pourrait s'attendre à un meilleur standing et plus de choix lors des repas. Mais finalement comme on y est très bien, le jeu en vaut la chandelle largement. On peut être surpris par le gout de l'eau qui est issu de la désalination de l'eau de mer.

• Angelos Michail (10/5): Absolut empfehlenswert! - Sangat Island ist ein fantastisches Resort. Unfassbar schöne Insel und Anlage (die Fotos werden dem überhaupt nicht gerecht), super Essen (genau die richtige Menge an Auswahl, tolle Qualität) , sehr freundliches Personal. Das Diving Center hat sehr kompetentes Personal, super neues Equipment und super Schnellboote. Wir waren sehr glücklich mit unserem Aufenthalt. Die Preise für das Tauchen waren durchaus teuer, insb. gibt es auch bei mehreren Tauchgängen über mehrere Tage keine Vergünstigungen (wie sonst in den Philippinen üblich). Ausrüstung, größere Flaschen, Uhr, Flashlight, Environmental fee kommt noch extra dazu. Dennoch war die Taucherfahrung super und würde ich trotzdem empfehlen. Man ist mit den Schnellbooten vor allen anderen Centern bei den Tauchspots. Wir haben uns auch bei schwierigen Tauchgängen bei anspruchsvollen Wrecks stets sehr sicher gefühlt.

• Babette (9/5): Insgesamt eine tolle Anlage, dort kann man sich wohlfühlen, das Personal ist super freundlich, jeder hat seine Liegen am - Die Anlage ist echt super, so was schönes, wie im Paradies, nicht zu viele Hütten, man hat noch diesen Exclusivflair. Personal sehr freundlich.. Die Häuschen sind ja echt schön, aber die Schiebetüren fand ich anstrengend, sind schon sehr verzogen. Im Bad hatte ich mehr Flair erwartet, bei einer recht teuren Unterkunft erwarte ich mehr. Utensilien wie Gläser für Zahnbürsten oder so kleine Badgadgets auf einer Schale. Aber das sind so Kleinigkeiten. Das Buffet war ein wenig zu reduziert, die Auswahl fand ich zu klein, beim Frühstück fehlte mir ein Brot und Marmelade, möchte nicht nur warmes Essen .

From the moment you arrive, you feel far from civilization - remote, isolated, almost with a survival-style vibe that makes the experience unforgettable. It is not a polished five-star resort, and that is exactly its charm. If you are looking for air conditioning, hot showers, and WiFi in your room, this may feel a bit hard core. There is no hot water in the showers, no air conditioning, and WiFi is available only in the public areas. But somehow, it all feels completely manageable. You adapt quickly, and the simplicity becomes part of the experience. For divers or anyone seeking a quiet, isolated escape, this is an exceptional choice. The location is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the overall feeling is one of true disconnection from the noise of everyday life. The service is excellent. Pickup and drop-off are coordinated seamlessly, almost like magic, and everything runs smoothly. Food is included and was very good, with a nice variety at every meal. If you embrace the raw beauty and simplicity, Sangat offers something rare - an authentic, off-the-grid experience that is hard to find elsewhere. One aspect we liked less was the extra charge for basic equipment such as masks, snorkels, and kayaks. It felt slightly awkward to be billed separately for items that are typically considered part of the overall experience in a remote dive resort. Given the positioning of Sangat as an all-inclusive, off-the-grid destination, it would feel more aligned with the guest experience to incorporate these into the room rate and adjust the price slightly if needed. The transparency and simplicity would better match the otherwise seamless and thoughtful atmosphere they create.

• Krystel (9/5): Paradise... - Our stay at Sangat Island Resort was exceptional from start to finish. It begins with a perfect airport pick-up, followed by a memorable boat crossing. Arriving at this private beach feels like stepping into a postcard. ​We visited in February, and while we feared the usual crowds in the Philippines, we were pleasantly surprised: on this small island, you feel privileged and almost alone in the world. ​The Highlights: ​Setting & Wildlife: The beachfront huts are beautiful. You live in harmony with nature—we even saw monkeys right in the resort ​Activities & Diving: The dive club is excellent, and the dives were simply magnificent. Snorkeling is also sublime (we saw turtles). A major highlight: kayaking to the hot springs. Even in high season, we were all alone there—true luxury. ​Dining: The food is excellent and varied; every meal was a delight. ​ ​Overall, a truly heavenly stay. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking the wild beauty of Coron away from the crowds! Points for improvement: ​Kayaks: This was the only downside. Given the standing and price of the stay, it's a pity that kayak rental is extra. They are essential for exploring the surroundings (like the hot springs), and it would be much more elegant to include them in the rate. ​Drinking Water: The filtered water initiative to reduce plastic is commendable. However, it had a very strong salty aftertaste, which made it hard to stay hydrated. I had to buy bottled water (thankfully provided at a reasonable price).

• Lucia (9/5): Paradise for those who love sea, diving & nature - It’s a cast away experience even more than perfect if you are diver. If you are not a diver the options are more limited, but snorkelling and kayaking and relaxing and disconnecting are great options too!!! The chalets are well thought, you don’t absolutely need AC, they are just lovely whether in the first row in front of the the sea or in the second row (we were in the second row and could see the sea while laying in bed: isn’t it a real luxury?). You sleep inside and outside at the same time as you can hear the jungle and the sea around you. We just LOVED IT. The cold shower isn’t really cold and perfect for local conditions. Hammocks and bamboo chairs were great in the terrace and below the bungalow which also features a private water source to clean your feet from sand before climbing the stairs. Wi-Fi in common areas was very strong. It was great NOT to have Wi-Fi in the bungalow! The food was excellent (I really don’t get why in some reviews here people complain), abundant and varied all the time, with vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, etc options at every single meal (breakfast, lunch, merenda, dinner). The complimentary transfers to/from the island/Coron town/airport were extremely efficient. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!! My only regret is that we stayed only for 3 nights/4days, I would have loved to stay for a full week! The shower space in the bathroom could have been better thought and have a small separation from the floor and the door - it gets a mess even if you are super careful. A proper space to dry towels and swimming suits on the terrace would be appreciated instead of hanging them randomly to chairs or the balcony. The happy hour should not be limited to cocktails (which were by default the price of 2 cocktails already) but also to other types of drinks (beer, wine, etc).
• Jeff W Sydney (8/5): The perfect idyllic escape, will be back - Location was great, felt remote yet easy access to Coron and airport. Swimming / snorkelling on reef in front of accommodation was very special, as was kayaking to hot springs. Dive options throughout day first rate, most super close to resort so it wasn't a lot of travel time per dive. Food very good. Some very special sunsets late afternoon. Would have loved hot shower in bathroom, especially after being in water. Small gripe, but would have liked better wifi coverage to rooms, so that any work etc to be attended to could have been dealt with more efficiently.
• Lea (7/5): Offline Hideaway - If you are looking for a quiet escape it will truly be a great hideaway. Good spot for divers, clean rooms, good staff & nice food. It would be great if there would be an option for a hot shower, WIFi is only available in the public area not sutaible if you nedd to stay connected as well as they don’t offer bottled water, which would be fine, if the tab water would not taste so salty after purifying.

Il posto è pieno di scimmiette super carine, sembrava di stare in un paradiso. Mare molto bello, è una conca quindi difficilmente mosso. Anche i pasti erano buoni, tipica cucina filippina ma inseriscono anche qualche piatto internazionale, come i churros a merenda o pasta a pranzo. Staff super gentile, escursioni organizzate al meglio! Siamo stati benissimo! Inserirei uno spazio ludico in spiaggia, come giocare a beach volley, ma in realtà è un paradiso quindi tutto bene

The island itself is incredibly beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained — you can really feel how much care and attention they put into cleanliness and upkeep everywhere. The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming, always smiling and genuinely happy to help. The bungalows are very comfortable and blend beautifully into the natural surroundings. The house reef is stunning, with colorful corals and plenty of sea turtles, and the dive team is absolutely fantastic — professional, friendly, and passionate about what they do. On land, the island is just as special: playful monkeys live on the island, and if you’re lucky, you can even spot fruit bats in the evenings. One of our favorite adventures was renting a kayak and paddling through the mangroves to the nearby hot springs — such a unique and unforgettable experience. The food was delicious and healthy, and we especially loved the evening desserts. Evenings were perfect for relaxing with a cocktail and playing billiards while enjoying the island atmosphere. Sangat Island is a very special place that we will remember forever. We truly hope to come back one day!

Our stay at Sangat Island Dive Resort was nothing short of extraordinary, truly the highlight of our entire trip to the Philippines. From the moment we arrived on the island, it felt like stepping into a dream. The setting is unbelievably beautiful: crystal-clear water, lush jungle, peaceful beaches, and total serenity. It’s the kind of place where time slows down and you can fully disconnect and be present. What made the experience truly special, though, was the staff. Every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They anticipated our needs, made us feel completely at home, and created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and personal. The food was fantastic, the accommodations were comfortable and charming, and everything was seamlessly taken care of. Sangat Island Dive Resort is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience you carry with you long after you leave. If you’re visiting the Philippines and considering this resort, don’t hesitate. It’s pure magic, and we cannot wait to return. N/A
• Kinary (8/5): Parfait pour se couper du monde et plonger - Très beau cadre, au calme absolu, on se sent isolé du reste du monde. Les cabanes sont parfaitement intégrées à l’environnement. L’équipe du centre de plongée est super C’est regrettable de voir que dans un cadre aussi magnifique, la plage soit autant polluée. Même si la pollution n’est pas de la faute du resort, on s’attend à ce que des mesures plus sérieuses soient prises afin que la plage soit nettoyée. Nous sommes tombés tous les jours sur des dizaines de déchets dont des vraiment gros : canettes, conserves, bouteilles en verre … La nourriture est correcte, le petit déjeuner est très bon.
• Adriana (1/5): DISAPPOINTING - PARADISE LOCATION, THE ONLY GOOD THING I CAN SAY. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed for 5 nights in an air-conditioned room, for which we paid around €2,000. For this price, we expected MUCH more. The food is absolutely disappointing. You only have about five options to choose from, and the menu is extremely repetitive: rice, salad, two protein options (either chicken or fish), and some kind of vegetables. Always the same. On top of that, all meals are served as a buffet. For the price you pay, the food should be served, not self-service. Furthermore, the only drink included with meals is water. If you want a Coca-Cola or any other drink during lunch or dinner, you have to pay extra. The juices at breakfast are not natural. I wanted to surprise my partner with the private beach dinner they offer, but they asked for an additional €90 for a fixed menu that you cannot even choose, and the food was very basic. Needless to say, drinks were not included either — only water. Let’s remember that this is the Philippines; for €90, you would expect something exceptional, not such a poor experience. The air conditioning in the rooms is absolutely terrible. You end up sleeping while sweating, as it runs on solar panels and has very limited power. I understand the sustainability aspect, but then do not sell a room for €400 per night advertising “air conditioning” if it does not work properly. For this price, you could stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Maldives and be sure you are getting what you pay for. I honestly thought that paying €400 per night in the Philippines would guarantee a far more outstanding experience. Please do not waste your money on this hotel — there are certainly much better options available for a lower price.

• fabienne (9/5): Bel emplacement isolé loin de la ville - L emplacement, le site et le calme Les bungalows vue mer avec le bruit des vagues Le spot du bar au bout du ponton pour prendre un verre. Le personnel est très accueillant. Le petit déjeuner était très simple avec peu de choix. La communication entre le personnel n est pas bonne. On nous avait confirmé être 5 pour une excursion, on s est retrouvé seul à devoir payer plein pot … personne nous avait prévenu. Heureusement la direction a fait un geste. Attention aux moustiques ….et les singes !!

• Stephan (9/5): Schönes Ecoresort - Wirklich schöner Ort um ein paar Tage zu entspannen. Außer dem Resort und dem Dive center sowie Watersportscenter ist jedoch nicht viel. Das Essen war eigentlich immer sehr lecker. Internet wie schon beschrieben nur im Restaurant und Lobby. Handyempfang ist eher schlecht auf der Insel. Die Mitarbeiter waren, wie fast überall sehr freundlich! Eigentlich hat alles gepasst 👍

É vero che il posto é isolato da tutto e tutti ma é anche questo che lo rende unico.

Possibilité de beau snorkeling sur le housereef, nous avons meme vu une tortue. Tout est conçu pour le relax et farniente. Les repas (inclus dans le prix) sont bons et variés. Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins. Tres bon diving center. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits mais aurions voulu rester encore.

• Wendy (10/5): - It was a unique and wonderful experience. Not the normal avg resort. The staff are exceptionally kind, helpful and genuinely want your experience to be fantastic. I loved falling asleep to the ocean, the variety of food offered and just the relaxed vibe. The resort is the only place on the island. My cabin did not have AC but I was very comfortable with the breezes and fans. Any modern convienance missing was made up with happy hour, beautiful views, and friendly staff. I also recommend the tours if offered. Great experiences snorkling and visiting the natural hot spring.

• Zoe (9/5): Beautiful private island escape with great dive centre - Had such a wonderful stay. The beachfront chalets are lovely and I didn’t mind being woken by monkeys running on the roof haha! The place is the perfect mix of jungle and ocean. Beautiful reef right out the front and the diving was sensational. The wrecks are so close and beautiful to explore. The food was amazing and they have a nice bar and pool table. Wish we’d stayed longer! Nothing!

If you are looking for somewhere to escape to and to come up close and personal with the natural world, this resort will not disappoint. Unpretentious, without some of the modern trappings, but that is part of the charm of this eco- friendly piece of paradise.

• Melissa (10/5): Overall - beautiful, charming,rustic little resort ( with monkeys!) that feels almost off grid with - Beautiful, tranquil resort in an idyllic setting. All the resort staff were lovely and super friendly and helpful. On arrival we were met by name on the pier by Jennifer and Meryl who set the tone for the visit! Rooms: We were in a Beachside Chalet, which was right on the beach as the name suggest with a lovely view. The chalets are rustic but comfortable. No AC but we had a ceiling fan and two additional movable fans in the room (which we used ) and we slept well. No hot water, but we didn't miss it - its hot anyway so its nice to a have a shower to cool down. Water is cool, but not freezing. Food: was pleased by the food because I know some Philippine dishes can be heavy and fried, but there weren't many of these( a few, which were good !) Healthy home style cooking with lots of variety each day and fresh fruits at each meal. The Rock Bar which serves happy hour from 5 - 7 pm is a little gem. Diving: We chose Sangat as a dive resort. There was a mix of divers of varying abilities while we were there and the dive centre was on top of grouping people according to abilities for safe an enjoyable diving for all. Great dive staff who follow safe ( but not overbearing) dive practices. Ed was our guide for the week and took us through all the wrecks. He was excellent! The wrecks are the main attraction - there about 7 of them and they are all interesting and good to penetrate if you have the skill level to do so. Less experienced divers can also dive the wrecks without going inside. Lots to see on top of them also. Reefs: Much healthier and less bleached corals than I recently saw in the Maldives but fish life is pretty usual. Not really any big stuff. For non divers you would want to be happy with just chilling, reading, snorkelling - I think there's a few excursions you can do, but its very low key. Nothing stands out

Transportation arranged and without problems. The mosquito net was a little cumbersome but efficient. It would be useful if hairdryer were provided.
