Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely fabulous, great facilities, great views, great food and friendly service
- Verified traveler (4/5): Awkward Experience Not the best choice - First of all....the property is in the middle of no where. 30 minutes from the port. There is no phone or data signal. There is no wifi. There is NO food or water, except if you buy it there. There is no transportation if you want to explore the island. There is not a beach at this property. Only rocky overview of the ocean. The room was just ok. However, the people there are very friendly and very polite. The owner is very nice
- WorldAdventurer (2/5): Ruined our vacation; horrible service - We booked a Seaview Cottage room for a weekend trip, arrived after a long journey, and they put us in a tiny moldy room (with insects) in the back of the property - without saying anything about how we had paid for a better room. I then asked (had to ask repeatedly) about the "Seaview" cottage, and they finally told us they sold it to someone else. It looks like a large group came in and they "bumped" us. No loss for them; too bad for us.
We then had to wait for the manager to wake up, and he couldn't care less that we traveled the long journey or that we made a prepaid reservation. No apology. He gave us a refund, but used the bad hotel exchange rate (we paid online in USD), so we lost money on the reservation itself. And of course, we had to pay for transportation to their remote location twice (there's no sign outside their resort) and wasted hours overall dealing with this mess.
The worst part was the manager's attitude: he didn't offer any help in finding another hotel. His attitude was of absolute indifference and didn't apologize for screwing us. We wasted the rest of the day to find another hotel. Thanks for ruining our weekend vacation to Camotes. They don't care about customers or honesty. Seriously, trying to pass off a basic moldy dirty room hoping that we wouldn't notice that we paid for a better room? Oh, and false advertising in their listing online: they don't have WiFi. What kind of people run a business this way?
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean Hotel - It took me ~45 mins to arrive the resort from Poro Port by moto bike. Though it's a long ride, I like the environment there. It's so quiet and relax. No cell phone reception, so no body can bother you.
- Simon (10/5): Great place to relax without your mobile. - Beautiful room. Clean. Nice hot water, readily available. Makes a change. Lovely big comfortable bed. Spacious room. Great view to the sea and nice veranda to relax on in good size chairs . Very quiet room.
Although there is NO wifi, the setting and the ability in this location to relax was never a problem.
The food and the service in the restaurant were all superb. And could not be faulted
