- Debra (10/5): Organized, extremely clean and safe. Great location too. - The staff were extremely attentive from the moment that we arrived. There is a 24 front desk person. Security with a keypad outside. They would see us coming and open the door for us. There is plenty of hot water and great towels. The mattresses extremely comfortable. In addition, it is handicap friendly with ramps and railings and something on the cement so that you don’t slip and fall!!! Free bottled water in the room and free water available in the common area. There are elevators which are a must. The free breakfast includes eggs cooked your way in addition to fruit, granola and yogurt, toast. As well as a couple of other hot dishes. The coffee was delicious and tea was available too. All in all I rate our stay five stars. We live in Ecuador so will be back to stay again. Thank you for your fantastic customer service and your awesome staff! Do not mess with perfection. Not one thing missing from our stay.

- Joel (10/5): Wonderful Hotel in the Centro Norte/Carolina/Amazonas Location of Quito - Outstanding hotel near the Parque Carolina area. The staff was amazing, especially Erick. The level of customer service is top notch and I am very pleased. The buffet breakfast was wonderful; served with scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, breakfast meats and potatoes, fresh juice, fresh fruits, selection of breads and pastries, cereal, coffee, variety of teas, and so much more. This hotel also has an elevator which was a huge convenience. It was near some great restaurants and it very walkable. The location is also safe. I highly recommend Hotel Carolina Montecarlo! Nothing! I enjoyed every aspect of my stay.

- Delery (9/5): A Wonderful place to hang your hat. - Excellent breakfast, the eggs were professional. There's secure parking, overal the security is excellent at this hotel. The staff had a pleasant and elegant but welcoming diversity not usually found in Quito. Next door there's an established Ecuadorian restaurant as well as a cafe with sweets. Being a picky eater preferring simple, clean food such as Casa Warmi located in Quito this was the only thing I wished for -- a convenient hotel restaurant.

They did not speak very much English which is to be expected, but they still did their best to communicate and help however they could. Can be pretty loud at night. It's right next to busy streets. The windows don't do a great job sealing out the noise and the walls are thin.

Also when I called to confirm my arrival, I felt a good vibe because of the politeness, the receptionist has an outstanding quality service. The service was excellent at breakfast and the location is perfect. Very very close to everything. The beds are a bit hard and the rooms are small, but the front desk clerk was helpful in moving us to a bigger room once we expressed our concern.

Accommodations are nice, and the hotel has a well maintained gym which is a nice plus. The breakfast is included with the room rate, and I really appreciated that they varied the food choices daily, since we stayed there for about a week. The desk staff has limited English, but they are pros at using Google Translate to help with any concerns. The hotel manager does speak very good English. Room rates are reasonable based on what is provided. We travel to Ecuador often, and this will be my go to hotel when we are in Quito!

Very nice start to the day. The staff went out of their way in every way to assist any and all requests. I liked everything! Having stayed here 4 years ago, the changes to the lobby were very nice--visually very comfortable and pleasing!

- Charles (8/5): Comfortable with a very good night's sleep. - This is a positive review. While the hotel was lacking in character and charm it did the essentials very well and at a reasonable price. My bed was very comfortable, the rooms (in the annex out the back) were far from any traffic noise and I slept very well at this hotel. The rooms were pretty large for standard double rooms with plenty of space for unpacking luggage. The shower was probably the best shower that I had in Ecuador. Breakfast was a buffet and was good, I like the freedom of choosing what I want and how much I want without wasting food. The buffet seemed to have all options all of the time. I would use this hotel again. The hotel lacks a garden or cosy lounge, which was OK for us but might be a drawback for those with more time in the hotel. A few more pictures in the bedrooms might give more character (but that's irrelevant once asleep!) The floors of the annex had sofas, but automatic lights went off every 30 seconds or so.

- Karen (8/5): Loved the staff! - Hotel and staff were amazing! The only problem was 11 pm, our room filled up with cigarette smoke, unbearable, and we had no idea where it came from. Showers had a pulsing hot -15 seconds and then 15 cold. In SAmerica not so bad. In a suite, room 2 if hotel wants to see where smoke comes from.
