Nice grounds with fire pits, grills, nice seating areas and the pool area is awesome!! Very nice continental breakfast. Close to everything you need!! Love it!! That we couldn’t stay longer!!

• Blodgett (10/5): - It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice. The location was exactly where you would want it to be, near everything but not in a busy location. It was quiet and lovely. It's a great value for the money. I would certainly stay there again, and recommend it to others! At some point I did hear the people staying in the room next door, but it was not a significant issue.

The gentleman lectured my husband about taking a room towel to the pool. He could have simply said something and left it at that but he instead went on and on.

• Danielle (8/5): Will come again! All major points were a solid 9-10 - Such a cute little place! Pretty homey, fresh updates throughout. Fire pits and wood available on site. Light right outside the window was SO bright, and bled through the curtains. Could not block it fully. Desk chair needed replaced. There weren’t many guests, a room between each would have been nice for sound.

• Daniella (7/5): A prime location for all your activities and adventures. - The cozy room, prime location, seamless check in and out process, friendly staff, and not as noisey due to the fact the location is off a main road. Found hair in the bathroom and on sheets on arrival, complimentary breakfast not the expected breaskfast, one small roll of toliet paper in bathroom at arrival, and window left open after housekeeper cleaned room.

• Kim (6/5): Given the primary reason for a motel is to shower and sleep, I hope they consider upgrading the mattresses and towels! - Although we didn’t use it, we loved the outdoor space. Felt like a campground was right out our door. Lots of open space, campfire area, pool, pavilion-very nice. Rooms are well acquainted with a small fridge and microwave. Very clean. Spacious. The bed was extremely hard. My husband prefers a firm mattress but even he had a hard time getting comfortable. I’ve never felt towels so rough. Definitely a free exfoliation. Maybe that’s why it’s considered a “resort”. lol

Glad there was a fridge & microwave. Nice if TV had one pay channel like Netflix. Bagel was best for breakfast but butter was hard. Shower stall was nice. Liked the face wipes. Heard the golf course restaurant was the best.

The staff was prompt, kind, courteous, helpful, and very friendly.. The location is perfect. It is well located within minutes of everything that we did during our stay. The temperature in the room was perfect. It was very very quiet. I love the fact that I got to go out and sit around the fire pit, even though I didn’t start a fire. It was so very comfortable.. The price was very affordable. I’m already playing in my next stay at this location.❤️

It’s not as close to downtown but in general not a problem to take a short walk or drive :) The breakfast is rather basic but we did not expect anything special neither.

My only suggestion would be to make the windows of the rooms openable. They are permanently closed, so the only option for circulation is A/C or heat. Fresh air would be lovely. Overall a great stay in a great location.

• Ben (4/5): - The motel is an older property that’s been fixed up but still bare bones. Ample outdoor space but it needs some work. The rooms are ample sized (but again very basic) and the bedding badly needs upgrading. Breakfast was a disappointing and not for the health conscious. Not such a good value here, I would not stay again.

• Sherri (9/5): Overall our stay was wonderful and we would stay there again. - The staff was friendly and the location was great. Close to downtown Saugatuck, Douglas Beach and Opal Beach. The outside area was very nice with fire pits, plenty of seating, pool and hot tub. The rooms were clean but there were a couple of things that were missed. We found a candy wrapper behind one of the beds and a pill that had been dropped on the floor.

• Rose (8/5): Perfectly comfortable hotel stay - Our stay at the Starlite was just fine. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It’s not fancy but it’s perfect if you are looking for a nice place to relax after a day of shopping or a day on the beach.

Our neighbors smoked all day long outside their door, so we had to walk through cigarette smoke on our way in and out, and it came in our room every time we opened the door.

The lighting in the rooms is very stark and harsh, some warmer colored light bulbs in the lamps would be more relaxing. Breakfast was a bit lacking for a resort and the price. Some fresh fruit would be nice.

• Sarah (10/5): - For what it was, a renovated motel, starlight was great! The bed was firm and comfortable, and the room was clean. It wasn't even 10 minutes to downtown sagatuck (driving), or oval beach. Some rooms (my room, at least) only had a walkin shower, no tub, which was fine.
