- Karen (2/5): Disappointed in the cleanliness of the suite. - The location was good and pretty central. The hotel clerk at the front desk was nice on arrival. Our room was not clean at all. The walls were dirty. The wood lining around the bed frame was very dirty. The cupboards that held a few items were very dirty. There was a sign up that said if we didn't do our dishes there would be $100 added to your bill. We didn't use any dishes as it was dirty. The fire alarm was taken out of the ceiling. The breakfast room was not clean. There were bagels in the refrigerator and apple juice along with peanut butter and jam.

And after requesting a GROUND unit room for my elderly mom who’s healing from a broken hip, they had us in a 2nd floor unit. I just wasn’t happy with this

- Maria (1/5): Go to the other Inn in town it has great reviews - Curtain only covered 3/4 of the window. Fridge leaked. Shower matt dirty. Aircon was subpar and couldn’t open the window as there was no bug screen. Specifically emailed the inn to ask if the room had a stove and kettle, was told it did, but it clearly didn’t. Staff incredibly apathetic.

- Jamie (2/5): - The first room we were given smelled mouldy so we asked for another room. the second room had the heater on full blast so we opened the windows to air it out. We didnt realize until after that the bathroom smelled like sewage. There were extension cords on the floor for the heater and air conditioner. Our cooler leaked water and when we wiped it off the floor, the white towel turned black from how dirty the floor was. There were also stains on the sheets. Last but not least, on the second night a couple of men started banging on our door at 3:30 am and it took a couple minutes out shouting through the door to make them go away. Safe to say we wont be back.

- Justine (6/5): - It is 5 min walk to the entrance of scout lake and other hiking trails. Lots of exploring in the area, the room was a good place to exllore from and a bed at the end of the night. Many items in the room were just held together. The shower sprayed everywhere, had to have a bath instead, but the bathtub needed cleaning first, which i did. The manager charged more for a 3rd night even after I spoke with the owner who was in vancouver. Ended up paying more for my 3rd night than the first 2, in a basically empty hotel. Which bummed me out. The office was still locked at 10:30am because the manager was still sleeping. Next time i'll camp.

The beds and bathrooms were clean and in good order. The manager on duty (Paul) was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We were two couples travelling together and all of us were really happy with the facilities and service. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others. There was nothing I didn't like. It's not polished like a big city downtown hotel it's a small old motel in a small town at the end of the road. Loved it.

Check-in closes at midnight, but we were unsure if we would arrive by then. I called the place earlier in the evening and informed them about this. They sent us detailed instructions on how to check in ourselves. They also told me to call them anytime if I needed help. Free breakfast was also a nice bonus

- Trevor (3/5): Dirty and uncomfortable - The view was nice from outside. This place was filthy. The bathroom floor was white, but covered in black dirt, especially by the shower. They provided absolutely no soap, there wasn’t even hand soap at the sink. It was a good thing we brought our own, but not even the bare minimum was provided. There was empty margarine containers and some dirty pots in the bedroom for some reason. The bed was very uncomfortable, but at the very least was clean. Overall, not the greatest place to stay, but at least it’s warm and out of the rain while traveling up north. If this place was half or even 2/3 of the price it would be worth it. But we’ve stayed at much nicer places for this price, or even less.

- Brian (8/5): Quiet getaway. - Nice and quiet ! There's a small creek at the side of the room and that's the only sounds I could hear , " a gurgling brook " , just perfect !
- Linda (5/5): The first night was not great but the second night in a different room met our expectations. - The manager was really good about changing our room for the second night of our stay because of the problems we were experiencing with the room. The room that we had for the first night was not great. The floors were dirty and the furniture was dusty. The TV remote didn't work even when the manager tried to fix it. The floor in the bathroom was leaking water between the floor LVT.

Very quiet location with flowers and other nice touches that made the place look attractive and well-cared-for. The breakfast room is nicely renovated. Breakfast choices were a bit limited-- I remember muffins, bagels, bread, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, plus coffee and tea-- and the fridge and sink were not very clean. Overall, we would recommend, and would stay here again.

- Jackson (10/5): Exceptional - Ben,Les and James went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable, gathered in the hospitality room to play a game in the evening and again for a plentiful breakfast before departure
- Gilberte (8/5): It was perfect for the two days I spent in town ! I would happily stay there again ! - Great location ! The room and bathroom were clean. It has been upgraded recently with new floors and a fresh coat of paint. The employees were very friendly. It was a bit expensive but I guess it’s the price for the high season !
- Roseleagh (5/5): It was just OK - The staff were amazing and did everything they could to make our stay pleasant The motel was old and tired looking. Bathroom fan was missing. No shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. Had to ask for a hair dryer
- Andrea (6/5): - Pros: the property is in a pretty area. The beds were clean and comfortable. It seemed to be the only place to stay in the small town at that time (another place is opening soon). The hospitality room for tea/coffee and toast was nice to have access to. The other guests were lovely. The one staff member I met was pleasant. Cons: the hotel is either short staffed for cleaners or the people who clean don't know how. My feet were black minutes after taking my shoes off in my room. I could almost write "please clean me" in the bottom rim of the tub that needed a SCRUB, not a light misting if that was done. There was a line behind the bathroom door as though nobody had cleaned the floor behind the door for a very long time (I checked, it wasn't stain, it was dirt). The room had a cheap plug-in overpowering deodorizer that I was thankful my sister found, because it was SO strong I could barely breath. We put it outside and aired out the room. And the hospitality room floor had also not been cleaned as evidenced by the old tea/coffee drips that could easily be wiped up. Luckily we took it with a grain of salt and were happy to have a place to stay in the small town. But I've travelled with picky people and they may have had an issue. Also, the price for what we received was about double what I'd expect, but to be fair, it's a quiet town in the winter, and I'm sure they need to make up for that in the summer to keep the hotel open, which we were thankful to have.
- Kimber (10/5): - The owners have been working on upgrading this property and it’s much more comfortable than in years past. This hotel is about the only option in town but the staff is great, accommodating, and really try. Continental breakfast is above average and nice for those early mornings.
- Linda (10/5): comfortable bed - Staff welcoming and helpful newly renovated room very comfortable bed nice mini kitchenette with small induction heat hot plate little short on dishes but managed easily
