- Svetla (8/5): - в целом очень хороший отель: чисто, красиво, замечательные завтраки, как полагается в 5-ке с шампанским, есть возможность заказать завтрак в номер. к сожалению, сотрудники не смогли утихомирить наших соседей (одну ночь рядом расположилась веселая компания в номере), пришлось нам среди ночи переходить в другой номер, мы не выспались. не просто дозвониться до рецепции, в номере нет молока/сливок, хотя это стандартный набор для 5-ки.

- Dmitry (10/5): Поездка на футбол. - Добрый день.Отличное расположение отеля.Самый центр города.Все достопримечательности, за исключением Родины- мать, в шаговой доступности.Куча приличных кафе и ресторанов, с очень демократичными ценами.Номер нормальный.Завтрак на мой взгляд, не стоит таких денег.До аэропорта, ехать пол часа на такси( 400руб).По соотношению цена- качество, это лучше место в Волгограде.

- Christopher (8/5): A good hotel, great location, reasonable price - A good quality hotel right in the center of Volgograd. Easy each of all main areas including tourist spots such as heroes ally, Zum and the train station. Its a reasonable 4 star not good 5 star hotel. The reception is small but well appointed, customer service is patchy and the receptionists dont control people barging in while serving you. That said the entrance is clean and well appointed. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and decorated to a very good standard - the bathroom hotels was excellent, after figuring out the cryptic shower controls! We didn't try the hotel restaurant as the excellent michalen listed"meat and fish" restaurant is a 5 minute walk away, as are numerous bars and other places to eat. Breakfast is well, Russian breakfast - lots of sausage, meat and nasty cheese - Russian cheese really is bad. Other than that there was porridge, some fruit and little service on offer. Overall at the price, an excellent option if you are vising the hero city of Volgograd,

Impressively renovated, lots of marble all over the public spaces, and high quality rooms with lots of small touches. When did you last find a razor and toothbrush kit in a bathroom ? Breakfast was continental but plentiful -- entirely self-service, including coffee and tea, I did not interact much with staff, but they were generally helpful and responsive. Definitely THE place to stay in Volgograd.

- Scott (10/5): Lovely hotel; excellent staff - Hotel Volgograd was amazing. Right in the heart of Volgograd, it’s about 30 minutes walking from Pavlov’s House and the Museum to the Battle of Stalingrad and about 90 minutes to Mamayev Kurgan. The room was spacious, clean, and the view was nice. Staff were excellent! I highly recommend the restaurant: the prices are very reasonable for a five-star hotel. The shuttle to-and-from the airport was very convenient too and not too bad for price (800 rubles one way). I highly recommend Hotel Volgograd. Don’t let the five-star scare you off - the price is excellent!

The staff was friendly and helpful, check in was very simple, room was clean and comfortable, it had a great A/C (Very important to me), amenities were good, and the location was perfect too! Whenever I go back to Volgograd I will surely stay here again and I would advise anyone else to do so.
- Neil (10/5): Great Hotel - Lovely hotel. FIFA arestating there, so it must be good! The car park is just parking in the road, but they let me put my motorcycle in the courtyard. Only very minor complaint is that the curtains weren’t blackout, so very light in the room at 5 in the morning
- Adam (8/5): Volgograd - Hotel was of a traditional style, location was central and walking distance to many of the cities restaurants. A short taxi ride to the motherland hill and football stadium. Less than 30 minutes from Volgograd airport.

- Steve (6/5): - Central location. Close to the Volgograd tram line although I had issues with the noise. There is a nightclub or something on the bottom floor that plays music until quiet late. I was on the 3rd floor and it was still annoying. Other than that it was a very nice place to stay.

- Paul (10/5): Great Value Hotel in a Great Kocation - Booked this on a recommendation from a tour guide, and glad we did. Price is very reasonable, and the location is excellent. If you are visiting to see the WW2 relics and monuments you have an ideal place, next to the Alley of Heroes and a couple of minutes stroll to the Univermag department store. Most stuff is walkable, Mamayev Kurgen is if you are brave, probably 3 or 4 miles. Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms are more than decent for the money, comfortable beds and reasonable WiFi. The hotel sorted out our airport transfers (normal taxi and only 800 roubles). Our breakfast wasn't included but was a reasonable 400r each for a decent hot and cold buffet. Didn't eat dinner there. So can't comment. All in all very impressed.

Mamayev Kurgan is a little more far but there are no hotels around that area. Everything else is in walking distance. The staff, the rooms are superb as a 5 star hotel should be. Breakfast is great!

If you know how dodgy airport taxis can be in Russia, this was great. Better yet, they kept track of my flight from Moscow during an 8-hour delay. The hotel is beautiful, in the very center of town, and historical if you are familiar with the Battle of Stalingrad. It was a great stay.
