Guest Reviews
- Mohy (10/5): - very calm the bed is not comfort
the beach water is cold
- Steven (10/5): Awesome luxurious unit. - A bit out of the way but totally worth a bit of driving.
- Manektala (10/5): - Dave was fantastic! I appreciated his emails prior to our arrival and our contact on the day of our arrival. He made our stay seamless and enjoyable.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Excellent few days staying a Ned's Landing!!!
- Veronica (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay. Lovely big rooms and communal kitchen.
- Stephan (8/5): - I thought we were staying in the main inn but it was a room in the barn. It was still a great room with a balcony and view but was surprised by where we were. Also you need to go down a very dusty bumpy dirt road for a kilometre or so
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice landscaping but a dated, musty room - The outside of the building and landscaping is beautiful. I'm sure this was an amazing place to stay in its prime.
Unfortunately, the room we stayed in had an awful, overbearing musty smell. We had to spray our own products multiple times just to be able to stay in the room. I would have booked somewhere else if anywhere had been available.
There were renovations happening in rooms around ours during our stay so hopefully, they will be updating all of the rooms soon.
The owner was very friendly and accommodating although seemed slightly offputting during our breakfast - a strange comment was made during his 'good morning' and he covered it up by saying something else when we asked 'pardon?'...just seemed a bit strange. Also, he acted very surprised/displeased when I said no thank you to a few breakfast items he offered (I am gluten-free so I said no to the bread, etc.). Just some small strange things like this throughout our one-night stay.
No tv's in the rooms, dated, terrible smell, not a super hot shower, no evening restaurant (we drove 30 mins each way for dinner).
We didn't get to experience the property as it was raining during our stay but as I said, it does look very nice from the outside.
- Ray (10/5): - Great views and walks on site. Saw two seals playing the ocean. Owner recommended restaurant in the area that was excellent Windows on the water in Montague.
- Lori Lynn (10/5): Great quiet place to stay - The Inn at Spry Point is a beautiful serene spot. The owner was amazing, provided details on nice trails to walk, places to go eat in the area, gave us a full tour of the Inn, and breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend this place.
- Shahrear (10/5): - Excellent service. The location is not perfect if you have a toddler. No tv in the room. However, it is a great spot for relaxing with your partner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful setting. Serene, peaceful.
David's attention to detail perfect.
Would love to return.
- Walt (10/5): - Surrounded by water on three sides, fun walk thought the woods along the shore line, GREAT host.
- Sharon (10/5): - We had a great stay at The Inn at Spry Point. Dave was so helpful and accommodating. We will definitely book to stay there again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property is locatedvon a beautiful seaside setting. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hostbDave awilbur was very personable.
- Sonya (8/5): Hallmark - As we drove down the red clay road it open to the a beautiful warm sight of green grass the most colorful flowers with the Inn in middle, the ocean on both sides I thought I was in one of my Hallmark movies, staff very helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Both the building and the surrounding area are beautiful. However...There are no amenities. If you want ice in your ice bucket, you have to ask before they all go home for the day at 7pm. And there is NOTHING to go with that ice for 30 miles unless you bring it with you. The continental breakfast is good. The owner mentioned several times they have wine and cheese from 2 to 7. We looked in a couple times to see about that, but nothing was sat out. I guess you have to ask.. there is no vending. No delivery restaurants. It’s very isolated. I can see certain people finding that appealing. Bottom line, plan ahead before going.
- William (10/5): - My wife and I had a great time of rest and relaxation! It was a very clean room with plenty of room to spend a few days there. We enjoyed walking along the trails along the ocean edge!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful property, services could not be better. Cozy, warm and welcoming, wish we could have stayed longer. Best place I have ever stayed, Would recommend to all my friends and family.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. The breakfast was amazing. Among other things, they had the best scones and jam I have ever had.
- Kim (10/5): - The Inn at Spray Point would be the perfect setting for a Hallmark movie. Dave, the innkeeper, is very friendly and accommodating. I recommend checking in early in the afternoon, then ordering wine and a charcuterrie board to enjoy the beautiful scenery from the balcony. You do need to be prepared to travel 30 minutes for dinner. There are several well-manicured walking paths on the point. The flowers on grounds and the coastal scenery are spectacular. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Wendy (10/5): - Lovely room and beautiful view!
A quiet and restful getaway.
- James (10/5): Beauty - Innkeeper Dave , very helpful and polite , beautiful spot wish we had more time to spend there
- Andrew (10/5): - We really enjoyed our brief stay. Staff created an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. We felt on the edge of the world, and that’s perfection. Dave runs a great business. We will return, and we appreciate his attention to detail as we hope you will as well.
- Diane (8/5): - Nice quiet location, lovely beaches nearby, the owner kept the property and maintainance at top qualities, I wish that there is a restaurant or cafe’ here or next door. Great friendly staffs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely place to stay at for our family vacay at PEI.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Inn at Spry Point is in a beautiful, scenic location on the east side of the island. It was a perfect spot to use as a base for exploring the island. After each day trip, we would return to the inn to enjoy the quiet environment and gaze at the stars and moonlight on the water after the sunset. Dave is a wonderful host with lots of knowledge and recommendations for an amazing stay.
- margo (10/5): I love this place! - This is a wonderful place. The setting is beautiful, and the accommodations are immaculate. All of the little touches make this a great place to stay.
- Brett (10/5): Highly recommend - Beautiful location. Friendly people. Highly recommend
- limda (10/5): - This property amazing private clean and beautiful. I only hope next time I visit it will be for a longer stay. Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Like everything except there was no TV in the room.
- Carole (10/5): Beautiful Views - This location has wonderful landscaped grounds with trails and views of the ocean and awesome sunsets. The inn was absolutely beautiful and we would definitely stay there again. The personal service received throughout our stay was exceptional.
- Haleh (10/5): - This is a wonderful place, and it was our second stay...staffs are very friendly and breakfast is so good.
Hotel is very clean.
- Gisela (10/5): - Loved this Inn. Melvin was very helpful when we arrived, arranging for an ocean view room, and putting together a little charcuterie plate for us as we’d been on the road too long to do the 20 min (each way) trip into any local restaurant. Although we were taking in The Feast at inn at Bay Fortune that evening, we were pleased to stay at Spry Point overnight as we found this Inn more private and scenic.
- Haleh (10/5): - I love this place and staffs are really friendly...we arrived at night ,quite late and he was very nice and friendly with us , I want to say thank you so much to him.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Spectacular. Ocean all around. Great host, great bed, great breakfast. Was just wonderful.
- Victor (4/5): - Great quiet location, but the “superior king suite” does NOT have a king mattress, but rather two twin beds bound together. The ridge in between was very uncomfortable. Air conditioning was weak. Selection of bread, for a continental breakfast, was disappointing.
Worst, this was misrepresented through the reservation process.
- Robert (10/5): Beautiful location - The Inn at Spry Point is a beautiful, rather new and large hotel located near the end of Spry Point. It has nearby beach access and a lovely walk through the woods to the actual end of the point. The room was large and comfortable, with a nice deck. Breakfast was continental style and nothing special. While they do not serve dinner, they do make an outstanding charcuterie board, with many kinds of meats, cheeses, olives, etc. It was delicious, but did take some time to make. Staff were very helpful and courteous, although at times we felt they were somewhat under-staffed. We would certainly go back.
- Dave (10/5): - We booked this on short notice. It's an interesting facility in a great spot. Owner and staff were very accommodating and friendly. Even carried our bags in. Walked the property and checked out the ocean on 3 sides. Make sure you have what you need before you arrive since it's a bit of a drive to civilization (30 minutes or so) if you need something. Compared to other places we stayed on PEI that week...the value was excellent. Highly recommend.
- K (6/5): Expensive for the experience - Stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend with my elderly parents.
Gorgeous inn, and yet I felt it was overpriced for the experience.
The owner was super friendly and helpful.
No towels in my parents' room. And unfortunately there was mold on the bread in the continental breakfast.
The owner apologized for this, but there was no offer to reduce the fee.
Bad form in my opinion even though he was super congenial. It didn't encourage me to want to stay again.
- Ron (10/5): Hope to visit again! - This is a wonderful Inn for peace and quiet. It is "off the beaten path" but close enough to some fantastic restaurants and points of interest to be just right to get away. Dave the owner could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The Inn is bright and cheery and you feel right at home. This was our first trip to PEI, but hope to visit again and will certainly put this Inn at the top of my list.
- Paul (10/5): Good location to explore eastern PEI area - Amazing location on the point. Nice trails along the cliffs above the water. Excellent continental-style breakfast. Afternoon and early evening meat and cheese selection was very good. Extensive wine menu.
- Dominique (10/5): An hôtel to discover! - I would not have considered it due to its location. But I'm glad for Expedia to have suggested it and will certainly book it again on my next trip to the Magdelan Islands. Thanks!
- Alex (8/5): Clean and cozy hotel - We spent a night and it was wonderful. The room was spacious and super clean. It made me feel at home. The breakfast was really nice in particular I found their home made granola pretty tasty. The only negative I found is that we could hear, from our room, the conversation people had in the reception and it was 7:00 in the morning which made as wake up earlier than we wanted.Overall I would stay there again
- Tim & Mary (10/5): Bliss - More than we expected. No TV in rooms so you are compelled to listen to the ocean waves :). Provincial park setting. Blissful isolation. Attentive staff and management. 5-star experience without the 5-star invoice.
- M (10/5): Great place, great location - This is a wonderful property with close proximity to the beach. The rooms are bright, fresh and clean. Dave, the innkeeper is very knowledgeable and helpful. Quiet and beautiful. Great place to unwind and unplug. Would highly recommend it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - remember the inn is about 25 min drive from the nearest restaurant. the grounds were beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable.
- Brian (10/5): Awesome location - Excellent location and very clean facility. Easy walk to beach and scenic views.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful experience - So beautiful, relaxing and refreshing. we felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great place & inn keeper, central AC a little bit noisy
- Ted (10/5): Wonderful Inn With A Terriffic View - The Innkeeper/owner, Dave Wilmer, met us upon our arrival with a smile a hand shake and helpful information about PEI and suggestions about what to see and where too dine. Our balcony gave us a view of the ocean and we enjoyed watching eagles, fox, rabbits and other wildlife from our room. The Inn is located at the tip of a beautiful quiet peninsula surrounded by magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Dave enjoyed answering questions about the Inn and his history and experiences at PEI. As it turned out, Dave grew up in Connecticut, in the town where I met my wife, Leslee. This was our first visit to PEI and we will be back to the Inn At Spry Point.
- Ray (8/5): Pretty location, pleasant inn - The Inn is a lovely combination of somewhat rustic exterior and well decorated interior. The area is beautiful, somewhat remote, which we enjoy. When we arrived many species of birds were singing. Our ground floor room was comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was quite good-continental style-and the staff person was very accommodating and fun to talk to. All the staff and the host/owner were very pleasant.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great view. Quiet area.
Shower needs improvement for tall people.
- Daniel (8/5): - It was very nice!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Superb Innkeeper! - We greatly enjoyed our stay at this inn with its proximity to a beautiful beach with its gorgeous landscaped grounds. We were fortunate enough to stay there during the Fall Flavours Festival and enjoyed two evenings of first class dining.
