- Anne (10/5): Canadian, clean & friendly. - She clean & full of Canadian charm. Like best heads & mooseheads etc. Lots of timber & a fireplace. Great home cooked meal too! The poor town it is in was a bit run down looking & sad. But the lodge was an exception.
- ann (7/5): - Clean, comfortable, and quiet.
A perfect stopover.
- macpherson (10/5): Such a cute little town. Comfy beds. Pretty lodge. Excellent bathtub. - Dinner was delicious. I had the cutlets and they were exactly what I needed after two days of driving in the snow. My kids were happy as well.
- Angelika (10/5): - We stay here for the second time and we just love it.
- Jensen (8/5): -
- Eric (7/5): - The waitress in the restaurant was good. First room smelled like a grow operation.
The second room wasn't completely gone through by the cleaning staff. (Coffee maker wasn't clean and the "sanitized" ribbon in the washroom wasn't where it should have been.... making me wonder if it was in fact sanitized.
The rooms could certainly use some new flooring but that's on the guest's.... they need to remove the work boots.

- Lynda (7/5): Very clean but very short staffed - The hotel room was very clean. The lodge is located right on the highway in Clinton, an easy find and a good half way point between Vancouver and Prince George. This hotel is clearly having trouble getting and retaining staff. We have stayed here a number of times and each time it seems to be worse than the time before. When I went to check in the door was locked and a sign saying to go to the pub to check in. There was also a sign saying looking for help, cashier and two other positions I can't recall at the moment. There was only one person at the bar doing the pub duties, check in and who knows what else. She was very nice but did not smile at all and clearly overworked and frustrated. Once in the room the TV did not work so I called and she answered, but too busy to come and help so asked me to google it, which I did. I felt badly for her because she was trying to run the place on her own. We brought dinner so did not eat in the restaurant, but if they were understaffed there as well, I'm glad we chose to do our own thing. We will likely stay there again because of the location and the cleanliness, but I really hope for their sake that they get some more staff. If the cleanliness slips, we will make the next time our last time.

- Sharon (7/5): Staff seemed overwhelmed and not happy or helpful.. - Location was nice. Very clean Staff in office not friendly.. Needed a couple towels as we had only two in room and this was quite a problem..
- Diane (9/5): This was second visit here and will book again in future. - Like property as restaurant and pub on site. Room was clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was great! More food than I could eat, tasty and well cooked. Staff very friendly and helpful! Nothing!
- Pascalle (8/5): Goede overnachtingsplek - Groot bed, eigen zitje buiten, gunstige ligging en met restaurant Vrij donkere kamer, alleen verduisterende gordijnen
- Louise (7/5): -
- Jack (10/5): - Clean rooms with friendly staff.
- Susan (8/5): - Always a great place to stay when visiting family. Clean and well cared for.
- Vanessa (9/5): Beautiful, historic, well-located, and quiet - We had a light breakfast (not included with lodging), as we wanted to make an early start. It was good--not remarkable, but quite good, and the wait staff was very pleasant and friendly. We didn't have other meals in the restaurant, but would have done if we hadn't eaten already. The room was very quiet. It was easy to stroll around town from the lodge, which made for a pleasant stay. The lodge was very attractive, with its log construction and abundance of bright flowers. The historical details were interesting. The stairs and narrow walkways were a little difficult to navigate, but nothing we couldn't handle.

- Dawn (6/5): - Doors locked when we arrived and no note on door as to where we check in.
- Thomas (8/5): - Quiet rooms.
- Harry J (10/5): - Dependably good.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Great stay at the Cariboo Lodge. Our room was exceptionally clean and had all amenities needed for a relaxing stay. Very friendly staff, helpful and available. Dinner at the pub had excellent service and good food at a reasonable price. Lovely outside seating area both at Pub and grassy area around lodge. Highly recommend!

- Tiziano Robert (10/5): - Clean, contemporary, pub/dining, breakfast cafe, outdoor seating, balcony. Close to gas station store and liquor store. Conveniently on Hwy. 97 in Clinton.
Patronized twice on this trip.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Very clean comfortable rooms. Restaurant and pub were great!
- Milly (6/5): - Good location for us just in the middle of the way to vancouver. Nothing special good, motel level too expensive for what you get. Room size was OK, and beds also comfortable enough The toilets were not clean, room is very hot (it was,a very hot day ) and the aircondiotin sounded like a broken machine. The front desk is the same lady who Deals with the restaurant over there so no one actually to talk to. My son ate hamburger at the restaurant which was in average quality and waited 30 min to get it.
- Giuseppe (8/5): -
- Gregory (9/5): Nice clean rooms well licated in a wonderful town. - Well located and being back from the highway, quiet.
- Daniel (8/5): -
- Blake (7/5): -

- Jack (8/5): -
- CHRIS (10/5): Good. Stay in a small town - Rooms were clean. Restaurant was open for dinner and breakfast. Couple picnic tables up front. Overall a good stay.
- Robert (5/5): -
- Atze (8/5): -
- Mike (8/5): -
- Dan (10/5): - Great value location in Clinton with pub and restaurant attached. Would stay here again.
- Brad (10/5): - We were in Clinton on a cycling trip. We arrived early and were able to check in 3hrs prior to normal check in time.
- Coleen (8/5): -
- David (3/5): -
- Maxine (10/5): - A lovely return to a facility we visit every time we pass through Clinton.
- Simone (7/5): -
- William (6/5): Basic clean accommodations - An old log built hotel modified to a motel. Clean and basic - the rooms were clearly modelled by the local handyman.
Sheets, towels and the room were very clean. The deadbolt on the door didn't work but nobody was going to bother an old guy. If you're a woman, not so great.
Bar and food were run of the mill and convenient after a day of driving
- Pierre-Georges (7/5): -
- Mary (10/5): - Clean comfortable room, nice landscaping, great attached restaurant and pub. Staff members were pleasant and helpful.
- Yuezhou (8/5): -
- Ines (4/5): Adewuate - They were short staffed at the front desk and in the kitchen
Long delays
- Lei (8/5): - The lodge is a tourist attraction in Clinton village.
- NATACHA (6/5): - L’ambiance western
- Janice (10/5): - Place was easy to find and check in was nice and quick. Love the look of the log buildings. Spacious room with two chairs and table as well as a table and chairs just outside our door on the porch with nice flowers in the planter. The rooms were off the main road behind the main building. Would stay again.
- Jordan (10/5): Great place to stay while my girlfriend visited me while I am working on the road - I liked the amount of parking, especially that you could park right in front of your room(as long as you are on the ground floor) and that the rooms are tucked in behind the pub/restaurant/office.
Checking in/out was very easy.
Ac in the room was ice cold.
Room was big
Pub is great there aswell. Only complaints:
Bed was a little stiff (2x Queen room)
Had ants in the room, The front desk was very helpful and was very apologetic about the situation. Also gave me a discount I believe.
Not much to watch on the TV, however could have just been me not knowing how to use cable TV, I just ended up plugging in my console to use for streaming.
- Philippus (10/5): - First rate hotel with modern vibe but lots of indigenous culture touches. Helpful staff and convenient location.
- Peter (10/5): - Thanks for a nice overnight stay
- Angela (9/5): -
- mina (8/5): -
- diane (8/5): Convenient location for a one night stopover - Location, cleanliness, comfort, hot water, bath tub friendly staff. Good bar/ restaurant on site.
We arrived 2 hours early and were kindly allowed into our room.
We figured out the tv by pushing all the buttons! First night was a bit pricey. We got a deal for a cheaper rate on our return journey.
- Samyn (9/5): -
- Susan (10/5): - Always a great place to stay. Very clean. Coffee tea in room.
- Megan (10/5): Surpassed our expectations - Excellent staff and exceptionally clean and tidy. My partner and I both commented how spotless the entire facility was - including our room, reception area and the restaurant! We didn’t venture anywhere else but I’m sure it would have been the same. Staff were very warm and welcoming. The man working the front desk was efficient and friendly. We dined in the restaurant and the food was great. Lovely woman working there too. She smiled with everyone and made everyone feel welcome. We were very impressed and enjoyed our time there. Would consider staying again if in area.
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Lori (8/5): - Clinton was very cosy. The Lodge was older, but very clean and the rooms a good size. Had breakfast in the restaurant, waitress was very happy and friendly. Food, just ok
- Ivan (7/5): -
- Yvonne (5/5): Historic Hotel, Needing Upgrades - Conveniently located. Historical photos on walls. It appeared to us that the hotel rooms have not been updated in 50 years. Far, far too expensive for this type of accomodation.
- Terry (10/5): A great place to stop over as a half way point between origin and destination. - Every aspect of the property was as posted. There was nothing to dislike about this property.
- Amie (10/5): Lovely little stay - The rooms were clean and had mini fridge and microwave. The staff were friendly and the town is nice, clean, quiet and friendly too.
- Anja (8/5): - Es war sauber.
- Gary (10/5): - The property was rated a 2 star but I thought it was underrated. Clean, good restaurant, easy parking and access to rooms. Pleasantly surprised
- Rita (6/5): - not their fault but the restaurant had a fire and was not open. pub did not have any entertainment on a saturday night which surprised us.
- Joel (8/5): -
- Jim (10/5): - This is a place we have stayed several times on our travels north and south on highway 97. Convenient and good pub food.
- Mike (8/5): comfortable, clean..., OK price. - We ate in the pub twice because there didn't seem to be any nearby options. the service was fine food was OK. I would rate the pub food 7/10. it was fine, nothing remarkable or noteworthy.
Breakfast in the restaurant was fine, a nice cheery waitress, The coffee was awful. As noted above. It was a nice road side motel, a bit trippy and an interesting history. Still not sure what I think of all the animals in the pub....... you'll see.... :-)
- Frank (7/5): -
- Frederick (2/5): - They had no food service in their pub and there was not hot water in our rooms
- Emily (2/5): - Arrived to the property to check in. We were informed ‘we were lucky to have hot water in our room’. The restaurant and kitchen were closed. Called In a noise complaint and the worker shared which unit was complaining to the big party outside
- Diane (8/5): - Liked the tables & chairs outside each room
- Ciara-Shay (10/5): - Due to unforeseen circumstances, we arrived past 1 am, the owner accomodated our late arrival without problems. Thanks!
- Teresa (10/5): -
- Bopp (7/5): - room was clean before good wifi was very poor tv didn't work or I didn't know how to work it
- Fiona (8/5): - The bar/pub was great for a meal.
