Guest Reviews
- Angiolamaria (10/5): - Il proprietario è una persona splendida. Il personale eccellente. Tutti molto gentili e simpatici. Ti fanno sentire come in famiglia.
- William (10/5): A Hidden Gem in the Middle of Stone Town - We used Stone Town as a home base to explore Zanzibar, and we would highly recommend it since there are a lot of restaurants and things to do while the beaches are still only a one hour ride away and make for a nice day trip. Oh yeah - about the hotel...the staff was extremely friendly, and it is a safe environment with clean rooms. The pizza is a hidden gem - it is truly amazing as the hotel is owned by an Italian couple. There are several sitting areas including a decent rooftop with a nice breeze flowing during the hot tropical days. They even watched our luggage after checkout because of a late afternoon flight. We would highly recommend the hotel for couples, families, and medium sized groups.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value - Lovely little place in the heart of the Stone town!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Full Zanzibar atmosphere and great restaurant - Full Zanzibar atmosphere and great restaurant. Location was central, furniture in the house all antique And typical Swahili style. Room and bed confortable, we just loved the atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Ein Hauch von Orient - Wundervolles Ambiente, nettes, zuvorkommendes Personal, klasse Lage!
- Yadu Krishna (8/5): - Great stay. Cesar was there to help us with every small request.
- Alexandre (6/5): convenient and stylish hotel in the centre - It was nice and clean, very stylish and inspiring.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent!
- Drew (10/5): lovely small hotel with excellent restaurant + bar - We checked in here for one night before heading back to europe. The owners and staff were extremely helpful and friendly, booking us a cheap taxi to the airport very early the next morning and even providing a simple breakfast for 5 in the morning on a specially laid table outside our room.
The restaurant is excellent and situated in a nice roof terrace. The bar is small but comfortable, friendly and reasonably priced - also on a roof terrace.
The place also has gorgeous cats.
- Peter (8/5): TRADITIONAL ZANSIBAR HOUSE WITH DIFFERENT ROOMS - The owner, an Italian couple, styled and rehabilitated the old actually 2 old traditional Zansibar houses in the old way. Nice to see and look at but on the costs of comfort (small steep stairs, dark rooms). The rooms are different, some quite spacy and nice, some very small, nearly no place to place the lugage. Couple very helpful and supportive. Nice very frequented restaurant on the roof. Breakfast ok. Very clean. Situated in the middle of the "medina" of Stone town, in walking distance to all attractions. On the other side that means during day time you hear the noice of the narrow streets, but at night it is quite.
On the negative side there is to mention the weak light (not enough to read a book), the weak internet, also only on the roof avaiable and that no very stable, no water bucket, when tape water cuts during the night. People with allergy against cats should avoid the place.
