- Cassondra (10/5): - Loved our stay! We chose this place on our road trip to Georgian bay Ontario on our move from BC and I’m so happy we did! Such a classic rustic style cottage that transports you back to before cottages became modern day houses. The cottage had so many classic cute little touches, a lovely new style picnic table, fire pit and a bbq! Super cute little beach with a dock to swim too and you get to see so many stars at night here such a magical spot! We cannot wait to be back
- Ehsan (10/5): - The environment and surroundings were exceptionally clean and appealing.
- Steve (8/5): - Rustic and simple cottage (Cottage #1), but lovely property and amazing host Pat. It is important to note that we visited during a cold spell in September (overnight lows around 6 degrees), and the only heat is via a small woodburning stove inside. We arrived late (9:30 pm), so we needed to get a fire going immediately. Note that you will likely have a smoky smell on your belongings - such is the nature of woodburnjng stoves, especially when they initially are getting up to temperature. The cottage is quaint / rustic, but the appliances work well. Hot water is plentiful. The main bed is comfy, but the 2nd bed is soft. The kitchen is well equipped with pots, pans, etc - but make sure you bring your own coffee (and filters) or tea, plus any coffee condiments or other groceries you might want. Due to our late arrival and early departure, we didn't get to enjoy the various offerings of the area. Pat was an excellent and friendly host, and was accommodating to our late arrival. Again, this is quite a rustic experience - especially in cooler weather - but a beautiful location.

- VALERIE (8/5): - This property is a rustic cabin right on the lake. There are lights, water, power so you are not really roughing it. But wood stove for heat so make sure you have something to light stove if you need it. Has canoes, kayaks to use free of charge of you want.

Very rustic and unspoiled - Pat made us feel 100% welcome :) Everything we could want or need was readily available … canoes, bicycles, wood for the outdoor campfire or woodstove in the cottage all included - she even made sure we knew where to find the best view of the sunset! We wanted a rustic, comfy, unspoiled place to stay and this place delivered that experience 100%. We would have loved to stay longer and experience staying at the lighthouse that’s for sure!
- Cheyenne (10/5): Gorgeous spot - An adorable waterfront cottage, a step out to the beach and dock, kayaks and bikes to borrow- and stocked up with firewood. My kids loved the “kids clubhouse” as they named it- toys, books and movies. My whole family loved this spot- a beautiful place, we would come every year if we could.

The best feature is definitely the gorgeous environment and all the ways you can spend time reconnecting with nature and loved ones while still feeling taken care of with comforts of home. Bravo!

I could’ve stayed there for a week or longer. Didn’t want to leave when it was time to go. Absolutely loved my time at Bruce Bay cottage. Hope to see you again!

- Lee (10/5): - We loved it. Have already rebooked another stay for this fall. Proprieters were very kind, rates are very reasonable, and the views are spectacular. Wifi hot spot really easy to access vis your smartphone. Firewood for woodstove and fire pit was free and plentiful, kitchens and washroom well-equipped. Beds were a little hard for our bodies, and it was a little chilly in the mornings (cottages are not insulated), but it's a cottage in the woods, so you have to accept that going into this. We loved it.
- Dominique (2/5): Very bad experience. - The cottage is poorly maintained. The roof had leaks in the bathroom (it rained pretty bad). Door was barely closing and mosquitos were all over. I don't think the cottage was cleaned. Dirty floors, coffee machine with an old coffee bag... with mold. The view is great but the experience is not worth it.

Went to see lighthouse and people there told us we were trespassing - they had rented the place and we couldn't even take pictures. Deck on cottage #8 has plywood covering parts - still unsafe. Cement blocks in water.

There is a wood stove and lots of blankets but would have appreciated if the cottage came with an electric heater. Also a TV with a DVD player would be good to have on a stormy night. Cottage was clean and spacious.

Walking trails are great, scenery is beautiful and cottage is comfortable with fresh towels and shower and kitchen / BBQ utensils also. A charcoal BBQ for your usage as well as fridge and stove. Even firewood for outdoor fire or woodstove. There is a dock with kayaks and life jackets and a sandy beach. Love this place.

- George (10/5): Quaint Lakeside Cabin - Pat and Larry welcomed us warmly to their charming little island (accessible by bridge). The cottages are simple and rustic, with everything you could want for a quiet getaway in nature. Extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Everything was spotless. The shower was amazing! The kitchen was fully equipped. We wish we had planned to stay longer. Every cottage has a fire pit and access to the water. We walked around the trails on the island and discovered many magical spots along the shore. There are bikes and kayaks for the guests to use freely. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the water. We recommend this place to anyone looking for a romantic getaway in nature and anyone with a family who would like to let the children explore safely.

- George (10/5): - Cozy cottage located on the beach. Barbecue, canoes and kayaks are available. Cottage has a stove and fridge and a wood burning space heater. The cottage is very rustic but is clean and the bed is comfortable. If you want to get away and have a relaxing stay on your journey this is it just don`t expect the holiday inn.

- Debra (10/5): - When they say just bring your clothes and food they really mean it - firewood, lifejackets, water toys, beach towels, briquette's for the BBQ and more - wonderful hosts and comfortable beds. The only issue was loose fitting screen doors which was OK in the fall but would allow mosquitoes in during bug season. Wonderful otherwise and would recommend.

Old wrappers under the sofa bed, cob webs and lots of spiders. Just needs some tlc and clean sheets etc! Lots of towels but the shower looks sketchy so none of us used it! The roof leaked when it rained, so we put some pots and towels for the drips! The location was great though.

The cabins are beautiful and clean and full with everything you need, just bring food literally you need nothing else not even a pillow or towel they have it all. The property is on two islands and you can walk about 10 different trails, there's a private beach and many look out areas with benches for you to sit and picture perfect scenery!! You might even see some pretty amazing wild life. If you want to stay in the Lighthouse you can rent it as it's fully functioning and so beautiful. The hosts Pat and Larry are the nicest people you can meet they will help you with anything you need, very accomadating! If you want a place for the family and the family dog you've found it. If you want a quiet week away by yourself you've found it this resort is for Everybody!!
