Steven (10/5): Great place to stay. - Really nice place to stay, the view from the balcony is lovely and so refreshing with goldfinch and red cardinals in the trees. The room is comfortable with coffee and some breakfast foods provided. I walked down to the local bar for food and everyone knew each other and were so lovely. On the walk back from the bar i saw firefly’s and some small frogs in the nearby pond. Ed and Shirley were lovely and there was a cute cat that came and sat with me in the morning. I wish I had more time there.

Ed, the innkeeper, collaborated with me in setting this up. He even purchased them locally baked pastries as a "birthday/anniversary" local fare gift. Wonderful experience, they said they want to visit Bryson City again, I know where they will be staying :)
Jill (10/5): - The proprietor, Ed, took pride in the establishment. There was time taken and attention to detail in the room, as well as the outside of the Inn, being decorated for Christmas. The room was clean and very accommodating. The Inn was in walking distance to dining, shops, and the train depot. I would definitely stay at Calhoun Inn & Suites again and highly recommend it to those travelling to that area, or for those looking for a weekend get-a-way.

Kristy (10/5): - We stayed in The Toy Box. The room is exactly how the pictures are. It was nice cozy felt like home. Bed is very comfortable. Shower was great. Mr. Ed was a great host. He greeted us and showed us to the room and made sure we got in ok. They had snacks on the table drinks and other goodies in the fridge. They also gave us chocolate for our 26th Anniversary, so sweet and nice. I would highly recommend.

The owners had even put an Elf on the Shelf in our room, which our 3 year old thought was our elf from home. Such a small gesture that made our stay that much better! Everything was clean and bed was comfortable!

Also known as the polar express if you were on that train. We even left a personal item there and it was in the mail back to us the very day we checked out. If you’re in the Bryson city area he will not want to miss this bed and breakfast

The kitchen was fully equipped and had many choices for breakfast. There was a wrap around covered porch with rocking chairs to enjoy a full view of the Great Smoky Mountains. This is a delightful place to stay and is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and the Smoky Mountain Railroad. We will definitely return and enjoy a longer stay.

Rhonda (10/5): Lovely house, convenient to shops, rest, railroad - This place was so cute and had everything you need. Fridge, stove, dishes, coffee pot/keurig, and linens. It’s just around the corner from lots of restaurants and the GSM Railroad. Easy walk to the station or food, and shopping. Reasonable prices, complimentary items for breakfast like instant oatmeal and grits, cereal, and drinks in the fridge. Porch with plenty of seating to enjoy the weather and view of the mountains. Kind owners and quiet neighborhood. All around nice place. Definitely would come back!

clara (4/5): Complain about Calhoun suites Bryson city - The hotel looks completely different in person tha it does in the pictures. It is packed with many other buildings around it... Im really upset with this reservation. First of all..I made this reservation because on your web page it says they accept pets. When I received the confirmation they said they don’t accept them. I called Hotels.com to solve this issue. You guys said everything was fine. But when I got there this person was acting weird, trying to charge me for my dog, and the worst he was following my kids in a strange way. Next morning, there was this lady rushing us to leave ... her attitude was like she wanted us out of there fast. It was 10:30 and she saw me walking outside and she followed me saying.. “are you going on a walk? Housekeepers are going to be here at 11 and is already 10:30“ She was so rude and I didn’t like her attitude. Her neighbors were nicer than her
Verified traveler (4/5): No sleep suite - Very clean and friendly but then took a turn bad. First night smoke detectors blasted off 5am real loud scared the hell out of us . No explanation or apology from owners . Second night room next door cam back about 1am very loud . Walls are too thin .
Tom (10/5): - We stayed in the Movie Gallery Suite, we parked our car close to our front door, and easily walked everywhere we wanted to go. The suite had a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom and bath. All of the rooms were decorated with movie cinema memorabilia. The kitchen had soft drinks, milk and water, the kitchen table had fresh pastry and a selection of cold cereals and microwave popcorn. There was no check in, we were emailed an access code for the door along ,with helpful directions. The owners attention to detail was outstanding. next time we are in Bryson City, we will stay there again.

Holly (10/5): - This property is uniquely decorated and kept very clean, bathroom is upgraded and the kitchenette is very useful. Ed and his wife are very kind, friendly and thoughtful. Ed also provide us with very invaluable suggestion on sightseeing. We had a wonderful stay at Calhoun House.
Craven (10/5): - Charming as all get out. Gotta love a place that gives you everything and then leaves you to your own devices. Highly recommend.

Suite is very comfortable with complementary tea, milk, coffee, cereals etc. Nicely decorated and cozy. Good mix of hotel room basic amenities and private 1 bedroom appartement suite. Cozy gas log fireplace.
Seth (10/5): Wonderful Night - We really enjoyed our stay, the suite was very nice, clean, comfortable, had lots of cool decorations in the theme of our room (we stayed in the asian room). Pet friendly, which was great. Very personal service-gave us a little tour, food and drink recommendations, blew the snow off our car in the morning. Very accessible to downtown Bryson City.

D (10/5): Great place seconds from downtown Bryson City. - Great find. We actually have parked just down the street from this place in the past eating at the downtown restaurants. Very clean room, great mountain view, and good size. We'll stay here again for sure.
