The dishes were pretty, the taste was bland at best.White truffle, the attraction of the season was offered only and a supplement for $100, but nut as a stand alone dish. The restaurant refused modification. As a supplement to the risotto it was a disaster the rest od the dish and the "decoration" overpowered the subtle taste of the truffle. Lunch menu is much better, and the chef was flexible and prepared a truffle dish.

Take advantage of all the complimentary amenities when staying here. Ask for a canvas to paint on, and try painting on your balcony. Then at midnight go for a swim in the pool that’s open 24 hours each day. Plan this trip for a special occasion. We came here for our anniversary. Oh and make sure you get a room with a good view. It costs around $1400 a night.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice but expensive for what it is - We have had a long history of eating Sunday brunch on the patio overlooking the Napa valley. We decided to spend our anniversary this year at the hotel for the first time. Though we were asked to have our bed turned, no one came. Lot's of pillows, but all too soft (maybe we could have asked for something). Rooms are real nice and spacious. Service otherwise, was super attentive to us. For us, it was a relative thing having been to a number of places in the region. There is better value for the money spent.

The waitresses we had were accommodating and so sweet. Our room was out of this world and we felt like unworthy of the kindness and amenities that were offered to us. The beautifully appointed rooms, the fabulous restaurant and the amazing grounds make this one of the best resorts in the Napa Valley. We also had a bit too much fun with the complimentary cars :)

My only complaint would be that the elevator required a key which of course we didn’t have. My husband has a bad knee and the extra set of stairs was a little painful for him. When I asked about it, I was told I should have called them and they would be there to assist, they knew my husband was handicapped because we asked for a room close to the restaurant. They said because of construction it would be less noisy further away. They Should have mentioned we needed a key at that time for the elevator and that there was construction going on when we booked our stay. Of course, why would they!

It's pricey, but the amenities are over the top, the rooms are wonderful and the service is world-class. This is one of the best places in the world for a romantic weekend or couples' get-a-way.
- Shawn (10/5): - Overall this place is amazing and truly a 6-star accommodation. The staff are extremely helpful and ensure you are as comfortable as possible. The hotel facilities and condition are immaculate. The room was like brand new as far as cleanliness. The place was overall my favorite to visit in Wine Country.

- James (10/5): Close to perfect for a price - Wonderful place; enchanting. It is very pricy but justifiable if you are able to take advantage of all they offer. My only problem was the iron-room TV technology was not working (I tried for twenty minutes, and even desperately resorted to reading all instructions to no avail. I'm sure I could have summoned someone to the room to help but..,major buzz bill.
- Cristina (10/5): Highly recommend Auberge du Soleil! - Definitely recommend a couples get away.! The hotel is zen and each room has a nice private deck. The restaurant is a don't miss. We dined on the outside patio. Each dish was really good. The spa is great. Facials and massages quite excellent.
