Guest Reviews
- Avery (7/5): Overall, the room was clean and quiet. - Choices were very limited. Cinnamon rolls were delicious. Both outside doors were not sealed completely. Having a fear of certain insects, this was a concern. Thanks to the weather , there was not a problem. Door knob on bathroom door came off. Fortunately the door was not closed completely, allowing me to still get out.
- Joel (5/5): Nice hotel, but be warned of the motel part. - location was good, close to town but not in the busy area. Our rooms were in the motel portion of the business, not the hotel. I assumed they would be the same in quality
but they were not. The motel haas cheaper rooms which I assumed was due to the distance to the hotel and all the other amenities. Now I know it is due to the motel section is not as good quality as the Hotel. I would stay at the Randolf again, but only in the Hotel section.
- Stu (10/5): -
- Gail (5/5): - It was clean and somewhat close to my intended destination. The front desk was friendly. The pool was closed . The beds were super uncomfortable. The continental breakfast coffee was like sludge and undrinkable , milk was sour . We ended up going to Casey’s .
- Williams (10/5): -
- Christopher (10/5): Comfortable and friendly. - Did not have any breakfast during my stay! I liked everything!
- Jami (10/5): -

- Armando (8/5): - Great people working for our stay and was very friendly.
- Kelvin (8/5): - I had some minor issues.
The placement of the television set in the sleeping area allowed the remote control to turn on the television in the sitting area as well and visa versa.
The hot water faucet handle in the bathroom seems to be coming apart, it slides in and out a bit.
My room was not refreshed on the second day.
Otherwise, it was nice stay.
- Estee (1/5): - Firstly the rented out my room to someone else after I paid so almost didn’t have a room
- Jason (10/5): - Great hotel. Inexpensive for how nice it was.
- Mikey (6/5): It’s a roof over your head - Price The beds were hard and no water pressure in shower
- Adeldia (10/5): Will stay again. - I like how clean it was when I walked in. The front desk worker was great. The room was not what I was expecting. It was better than I was thinking it would be. The bed was nice love the bathtub. Breakfast was nice enjoyed it. They said quiet time is from 10pm to 10am. But at 11:30pm the room above me was walking and it sounded like the was stomping. Not quite walking at all. Then about 6:30am walking like that again.
- David (1/5): Paid 200 a night for a place that was worth 35 - There was an old pizza box with more food piled up on it with a used dipped on it and it sat in the corner of the hall for a day and a half the place is like a bad run gas station because it’s the only game in town next time I will drive an extra 30 mins and stay somewhere were they want my business
- Kevin (7/5): Good - Clean No late check out
- Dale (10/5): Will be back again! - Customer service was top notch!
Room was clean and cozy!
- Naas (8/5): - Friendly staff. Very clean Rooms were small but cozy and clean
- Kala (4/5): - Location The bed was very uncomfortable
- Dawn (8/5): -
- Tim (10/5): - Very nice and clean, homemade cookies, the staff were great
- Mary (9/5): -
- Angelica (10/5): Anytime in the area, I will book with them. - Staff is amazing and super hospitable!! Best baked goodies ever.
- Kenneth (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (6/5): STAFF WAS PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. - 1. TV OPERATION WAS UNFATHOMABLE MADE NO SENSE. NO INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED. GAVE UP.
2. THE ROOM SLEEPS FOUR. IT SEATS ONLY ONE AT A TIME. ONLY ONE CHAIR?
3. NOISY. WALLS SO THIN THE NEIGHBORS, TALKING AT A MODERATE VOLUME, MIGHT AS WELL HAVE BEEN CHATTING IN OUR OWN ROOM.
4. NEED MORE LUGGAGE CARTS.
- Brandi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (8/5): I normally love this hotel, but not this year! - I like the homey feel of this hotel. That there was a conference going on all weekend and staff allowed all these drunk loud people to completely ignore the 10 pm quiet time! They didn’t quiet down til 2 am! Next year I will ask for a room far from those facilities!
- Susan (10/5): - It was very clean and the staff was very accommodating. It was close to the Walmart for anything that you would need and restaurants.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Jon (4/5): - the pool and food was in a newer building a half block from this older section with noisy air cond and loud people outside in lot right by bed and windows
- Acuna (8/5): Not again if price isn't honored. - Hotel was great. Morning clerk was very nice/friendly. At check in, we were not told at about room cleaning schedule. I booked my room through booking.com for the Inn & suites. When we checked in, the front desk clerk said it was for a motel. Nothing in your online ad shows a motel. That's a rip off. You need to differentiate your properties.
- Philip (10/5): Good - Okay
- Davina (8/5): Very good -
- Johnathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dion (6/5): - It was extremely loud. You could hear every door open and close in the hall, every conversation in the hall and the air conditioner was soo loud. Also, there are app options on the tv to watch movies but they don’t work! I called The front desk for help and she said “we don’t have enough bandwidth for that so you can’t use them”. What is the point then?
- Pamela (10/5): - The property was very nice. Beds comfy
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Jacob (10/5): - VERY CLEAN
- Josh (10/5): - It was great. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and hot coffee. Room was nice and very clean
- Linda (10/5): Terrific! Better than the big chains! - It was charming, and it is obvious that the team there cares about the building and grounds. Very well kept and clean! The staff is friendly and fun. Great beds and walk in shower. Hot breakfast - biscuits and gravy, waffles, hash brown and sausage casserole. All great. The cable TV did come in very clearly.
- Gina (6/5): - The property is two-in-one. The smaller rooms are across the parking lot in an older, "outside entrance," motor-hotel facility (ask your grandparents). The hotel needs to advertise better between the two facilities. They own both and I believe both can use all the amenities,
the larger rooms are nicer, newer, and in a building together with the amenities. We didn't want to be away from everything and outside entrances tend to be more noisy (and the main facility room was noisy enough) While I can't say for sure that it was intentional, it sure felt like a bait-and-switch. I walked in and was greeted first thing by them saying "oh, you're booked in our other facility" and that they could upgrade me to this building and I could pay the difference. The difference was more than I paid for the room in the first place, so basically paid double!
- Terri (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Exactly as I wanted in a room - Great for our purposes. I like being close to my car and equipment, Close enough to everything I needed to get to Beds could have been a little more comfortable. They are a little too rigid for my liking and I was stiff in the morning.
- Kubely (8/5): Very good -
- Kubely (8/5): Very good -
- Stuart (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (10/5): Excellent - Everything Nothing
- Ron (10/5): - Lovely property, friendly staff, comfortable room.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (8/5): Very good -
- Kayeann (5/5): Passable - I have stayed at this hotel many times and I know that the main hotel is very nice and always worth it. However, this was the first time they put me in the little building across the way and that room was not pleasant. The beds were very uncomfortable, the shower sprayed all over the floor. And the sink would not drain. I used it one time to wash my hands and then to brush our teeth and it was completely full to the top the whole time. It never went down. There was also bugs like gnats stuck dead all over the bathroom ceiling. I will return to this hotel because it is in the area that I need to be in when I visit, I just will make sure I always book in the main hotel.
- Mitzi Lou (8/5): - When I booked our room I did not realize there was a motel section of rooms and then the Inn rooms. They were nice and got us a room at the Inn but it was much more expensive, not a pleasant surprise!
- Deborah (10/5): - The property was very clean and tidy
- Thad (7/5): Good - Hubs got a room I booked this hotel for my husband. For work we booked at 112. When he arrived they charged him 162.
- Miranda (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not so great - This property has a hotel building and a motel building. I was not aware of this when I booked my rooms. When I checked in, I was informed of the other building and if I preferred not to stay there I could stay in the hotel for a higher price. My brother and I each had a room originally. When I looked at the rooms we were given, I did not hesitate to walk out and go back and request different accommodations. Due to the higher price, my brother and I shared a room with two Queen beds. I was reimbursed for one of the rooms and paid the difference at the hotel for the single room. If we had decided to stay in the motel we would have had to return to the hotel across the parking lot for breakfast the next morning. As it was, there was an unexpected change to our itinerary and a delay in checking out, so breakfast was put up when we left at 9:30am, so I cannot speak to what it was like. The staff was friendly, but I did not appreciate the hassle and last minute change in accommodations due to information about the different buildings and what I reserved made clear prior to reserving online. The bed was too hard for my liking and the bottom of the shower curtain was stained. Unfortunately, I cannot say I would stay there again.
- Dameron (8/5): Very good - Very clean and nice. Bed was little uncomfortable.
- Kathi (10/5): Nice - Very nice staff Nothing
- Mary Anne (10/5): - Very nice
- Keeley (7/5): Good -
- April (2/5): Very poor -
- Pam (10/5): - The check-in was easy. The front desk personnel are excellent. Attitude is everything, and she was amazing.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Kenneth (4/5): - Staff was rude the evening we checked in. We stayed 2 nights and housekeeping did not bring us fresh towels. The breakfast was not much of a variety.
- Robert (6/5): - Best place to stay in Winchester, but the beds were hard and we did not sleep well. Shower and shower door needed fixed. The rooms where priced high. Since there is no other option in town I will continue to stay there when traveling to see family.
- Ross (10/5): Very nice stay. - Clean, comfortable, friendly, good breakfast and affordable. We would definitely stay here again.
- Randy (8/5): Very good - Exercise facilities were great and front desk very helpful and nice
- Timothy (10/5): - Clean and neat.
- John (10/5): - Very clean and well maintained
- Troy (10/5): - Staff were very kind breakfast was good and it was pretty quiet
- Donny (2/5): Terrible is an understatement! - The receptionist was very rude, I'm guessing she was mad at the world. The beds were horrible and to top it off the cream cheese for the bagels was spoiled. Definitely avoid this place at all cost
- Amber (4/5): - This property has a hotel and motel option. We did not know that when we booked. We were in the motel part. The room smelled like a nursing home, we had multiple spiders and flies in our room. There are 2 doors. One that had a chain lock. We didn’t feel safe. The microwave wasn’t actually in our room it was in a lobby. The room was very dusty. The sheets were very discolored. I didn’t sleep very well at all and woke up to broken glass outside our door and around our vehicle. It was very noisy. We could hear people in the room next to us yelling and hitting the walls even over our TV and box fan. Not sure what the hotel part looks like but we overall weren’t happy. Likely would not stay there again. The staff was very friendly at check in and check out. That was the best part of the stay. Definitely need to do some updating to the motel parts.
- Dreama (10/5): Friendly nice hotel - The hotel was nice, close to Winchester Speedway. The room was clean and fresh except there was mold around the shower door. The staff was very friendly.
- Curt (10/5): Great local option - I frequently travel to Winchester for business, and the Randolph Inn is the only good option for an overnight stay. This hotel seems to be "modeled" after hotels like the Hampton Inn's, but I would say that the Randolph is much cleaner that the typical Hampton Inn. I generally stay in Hilton properties and I would give the Randolph a higher rating for comfort, cleanliness and breakfast options! The employees are always very friendly and helpful. There is a "budget" option at this hotel that is the original motel that the Randolph was built on the same property. This is also a decnt choice in the area, but the main building is better, for sure. Fortunately, the folks in this area recognized the need for overnight accomodations, and built this hotel, otherwise, yoou're driving 25-30 miles to Richmond or Muncie to spend the night.
- Cody (4/5): Disappointing -
- Riley (9/5): Superb - I have stayed here before. This hotel is always very clean and the staff are always very friendly. The only thing I didn't like was there were not enough low carb choices for breakfast. The only thing I could eat was hard boiled eggs and yogurt.
- Bowen (8/5): I booked this for location only - home for a high school reunion. Won't stay here again. - I did not eat at this place. The room I had was very minimal, but adequate. Parking right at my door was very convenient. When I arrived the lady at the front desk said, "You do realize you booked the Motel and not the Hotel." I had no idea what she was saying. I had booked on the website where it said separate building. No mention of a difference in facilities. I was offered a room at the "Hotel" for one night at an additional cost, but would have to move to the "Motel" for my second night. I declined that offer.
- Erin (10/5): - I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It exceeded our expectations!
- Sara (6/5): - when we checked in they didn't even have our reservation of the king suit and we had to take a room with a double bed not what we had planned.
- Bret (7/5): Good -
- Tracy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Matthew (8/5): - Clean and quiet. A relaxing stay.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (6/5): A nice stay overall. Would book again. - Liked the pool and the breakfast. Also the location was close in town. Breakfast could’ve had more of a variety for the hot food and the room had a slight mildew smell.
- David (10/5): - Ideally located for racing at Eldora and Winchester Speedways. Hope to visit again.
- BAILEY (10/5): - What a great quality for the price. Exceptional staff that helped with late check out and late check in. Hidden gem.
- robert (6/5): - I would stay there again but hopefully the bathroom would be updated and mold free.
- Tara (10/5): - This is an absolutely great place to stay! The room is spotless. I’m just staying one night before a golf tournament and I’m sure I’m going to be well-rested. Highly recommend!
- Linda (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the property is and the staff is the best example of customer service!
- Mary (6/5): Fine Location, check the listing carefully to be sure what room you are getting. - The location met my needs. The staff was helpful & accommodating when I chose to upgrade from the Motel to the Hotel. The room was clean. Beware that there is a Main Hotel & an Economy Motel on the same property, in this same listing. The Motel is NOT the same as the Hotel. I had to pay considerably more to upgrade to the Hotel than I had expected but I did not feel comfortable staying at the motel.
- Perry (10/5): - It was a nice quiet place to stay. Very clean
- Amy (10/5): Stayed 4 nights, it was great. - Everything went well There was nothing i didn’t like.
