- David (2/5): - I stayed in 2024 for the same festival, Hillbilly Days, as this years stay. This hotel was renovating in '24 and it just got worse. In a year nothing got better, only worse. I picked up the phone to call the front desk regarding USB connections in the room-there were none, my phone was not connected to the wall, no connection to the outside world or the front desk!!!! The Breakfast area was a hotel room with a pitiful selection to choose from. The room that was routinely the lounging area and the breakfast area were being jackhammered with debris everywhere, some into the lobby area making it a dangerous environment to walk through. WHAT A MESS, HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY!

- Myrtle (8/5): - They were remodeling but the room was great. Especially housekeeping, Sharlene, very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. They atarted spray painting at 8:30 a.m. that smelled so bad.

Staff was nice but my TV didn't work and the reply was I've had several complaints, but our technician isn't in and I can't leave the desk. That was not an acceptable response especially if several people had a problem. Should have contacted the manager to get someone out. Hotel was under renovation but rooms weren't real clean either.
- Kara (10/5): Hillbilly days trip - The was big and spacious room. Because it was a festive week. I had to take a King size room, and it was big we were able to use an air mattress to help the bed issue. They gave us extra towels. They were remolding and this did not seem to mess anything. They still serve Breakfast the best they could
- Jennifer (8/5): Hotels.com gave us false information - The hotel was under construction which was fine as our room was newly remodeled, but I booked a room with two king-size beds and the hotel doesn't have 2 king-size bed rooms. We had to share one bed. The lady at the desk was very nice and said she would get a refund for me today. I hope that will work.

- Delorise (8/5): - Well our room wasn’t ready when we checked in. So they sent us upstairs anyway and we had to stand in the hallway while they cleaned the room. The cleaning staff was so nice and apologized for the inconvenience. They were under renovation, So the lobby was a bit of a mess. Our room once cleaned was very nice. Except there was no coffee pot in the room which I thought was usually standard. I definitely would give them a 4 rating, even with the inconvenience. Close to several restaurants and stores.

The GM takes a very long time to help solve any issues. When you try to get assistance from the staff, they are clueless to.whats going on. I do NOT recommend this pace for lodging.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was okay. The check-in was easy and the front desk clerk was friendly. The wall by the elevator looked dirty and the baseboard needs paint. The elevator is small and not very clean. The room was clean and pleasant and the bed was comfortable. There were many work crew members staying there. They sat out in the hall and made banging noises until midnight. Then the train behind the building came through blowing its horn - but I only heard it once. I didn’t get hot water in the bathtub because every time I tried to turn it hotter, the pipe would make a loud squealing/grinding noise. I did not complain about any of this when I was there because it was late and I was only there one night. The breakfast was decent.

- James (6/5): - I liked that it was clean, staff friendly. What I would suggest is a coffee pot in the room. The breakfast would be nice if spoons were added for easy eating of cereal, there was no bread to put into toaster. Fruit would have been a nice option.

I booked another night for tonight and when I got to the hotel, the clerk said the rate was incorrect even though I had already booked and paid it through the Expedia app. She said she couldn’t make the adjustment, but I should talk to the manager in the morning to make sure the price is adjusted to match the rate shown on Expedia.

- Debora (8/5): - The curtains di not close all the way which let the lights from the surrounding businesses in all night. Heard people ordering at the drive thru all night. I served its purpose for an overnight, but would not use it for an extended stay.
- Billy (8/5): Average stay - I stay at Brookshire several times over the years, it has always been a clean comfortable room, usually rater quite for having a train track behind it ( not the hotels fault) but, overall a decent stay at a price that is well, to be honest I thought was a little high but, giving the econimics with high inflation , I guess they don't have much choice.

- Sherri (8/5): - The property appears to be going through a renovation. Our room was nice and quiet. The bed comfortable. There is a train that passes and whistles. But, we didn't hear it in the middle of the night. There are plenty of food options and shopping in the area.

Our room was very spacious and had a great view of a smoky mountain ... our room was very clean, we had plenty of towels, free wi-fi and free breakfast in the lobby at a really good rate ... if we ever decide to travel that way again, I'd definitely stay at The Brookshire again!

We could hear EVERY step the people in the room above us took. I was actually nervous that the ceiling above us would cave in. With every step they took, the ceiling made unnerving cracking noises.

- Charles (8/5): Brookshire - The hotel was clean and the front desk personnel were extremely helpful. The continental breakfast was sparse, but good. The room was immaculate, and the fact that smoking rooms were available was a plus since we are both smokers
- Shawna (4/5): - We booked a non smoking room. We were then told they were out and they had no way of changing that on the website. All other hotels booked due to a concert in the area ( we were visiting sick mother in hospital) I would think that even smoking rooms would be cleaned better. I ask for a deduction in price and that never happened... We will not stay again, will drive the extra time to the next town.
- Pamela (2/5): Needs a makeover - The room had a musty smell. There was no soap to shower with. Never had I ever seen bath towels and wash clothes so stained and dirty. Looked like they had been used and just put back up. 2 people did not get showers. Couldn’t park in front but there was no door for back entry. Parked next door.

I didn't like the frequent passing of the trains (at least three times each night), and when persons moved in to the room above us, we heard the tv real loud and the walking/running of feet across the floor. The first few days were quiet before this occurred.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - The location is excellent. Close to shopping, restaurants. The room appeared clean but it had an obnoxious smell. It went away after 30 minutes or so but was there each time we returned to the room. We assumed it may have been a disinfectant but couldn't be sure.

- Guadalupe (4/5): Poor maintenance policy - Room was clean. Only issue was entry way light was out. When I informed front desk their response was the repair person was gone for the night. It would be fixed next day. When I returned for the night light wasn’t fixed they said they needed a new fixture. The only option to resolve the problem was to switch rooms to a smoking room. Thanks but no thanks I’d rather stay in the dark. Also hotel was right next to a Lowe’s getting a new fixture should have e been easy. When check out I also overheard another guest complaining about the musty smell in her room coming from the stagnant water pooled in the ac unit. I won’t stay at another bookshire hotel

- chris (4/5): No! - Bathroom was filthy. Dirt and dead bugs on the floor. Bathtub was dirty. Shower curtain rod was cracked which made closing the curtain difficult. Bathroom door does not open fully because it hits the toilet. If you’re overweight, you aren’t going to make it! Very loud noises, banging, slamming and vacuuming all night long.

- Joshua (4/5): Thin Walls,Bed Uncomfortable, Dirty, Never Again - The Bad: The walls are thin, can hear the adjacent room's TV and the couple in it being intimate. The Room Looked nice at first glance but the air intake was clogged by dust and grime, leftover food from prior guests in minifridge, the remote appeared to have never been cleaned or wiped down, dirt-caked all over it. The bed was very uncomfortable and made squeaking when entering it or adjusting, Pillows Flat and might as well be just a pillowcase. The price I paid was more than much nicer and better hotels in more metropolitan areas. The complimentary breakfast was inediable. The Good: Staff were friendly TLDR: Price way to high for what you get. If I had not been so tired and could have driven to find another hotel I would have. I will NOT stay here again, and suggest no one does.

The rooms are in need of upgrades. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was in a great area with lots of choices to eat.

- Derek (4/5): Not worth the money - The beds had flat sheets as a fitted sheet, the mattress pads had pee stains on them. The unit in the room was was covered in mildew. The key had to reprogrammed several times. The hold door open button in the Elevator was broken.

- Becky (10/5): Amazingly friendly staff! - My husband and son stayed here for a weekend of elk hunting. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating with an early breakfast each morning and with a little later check out when they couldn’t get back to the hotel on time.
