The breakfast on Sunday was very good. They had biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, waffles, french toast (premade, you put in toaster to heat), sweet rolls, breakfast pizza, yogurt, cereal, milk, coffee, juice. I would stay there again. Our room had a queen bed, recliner, sofa sleeper, mini fridge, and the shower water pressure was great!

A lot of independent hotels and motels these days seem to lack any pride on the part of ownership. Not so here. We have stayed in a fair number of not great spots to save a few bucks. It's not worth it. The Cedarberry Inn is worth it.

My husband was so impressed with the front desk staff and actually went and found the housekeeper to tip her $20 for such a clean room. He said that this motel is one of the cleanest he has ever stayed at (and normally we stay at Holiday Inn or similar.

Although we had booked the room with an infant still we had to pay extra for basic needs like fridge & microwave. Also they charge extra 3% on using credit card. Heather (6/5): - We had the suite that sleeps 6. The king bed was fine. The Murphy pull down queen was hard as a rock and squeaky with all movement. The pull out sofa queen was so squishy you rolled into the middle. None of us slept well. The pool was nice for the kids and breakfast was good.

Seriously, I have never been to a cleaner property. Everything is comfortable and while not fancy, it is perfect for a get-a-way and the drive here was beautiful. I wish I could give this hotel 10/5 stars, it is that nice.
Kevin (8/5): - Overall, the room was clean and comfortable but had a musty smell. I guess that is because it is by the pool. We stayed in the accessible room which was great since so just had surgery and it takes wuitr a while for the door to close. I wish you had the option of shutting that off if not needed. That is getting picky as i would rent this room again.

It is retro and amenities are basic, and that was just fine with me! The staff was nice and the place was clean. The bathrooms were newer, which was a pleasant surprise.

If you want to be in the Dells area but not in the thick of things or pay the high hotel rates book at Cedarberry Inn!
Karl (10/5): - Hotel is as described by the website, Expedia and other previous visitors. The room was very clean, as was the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and sufficient. The pool area was very nice, we took advantage of the hot tub. We didnt stay in very long, the chlorine was strong and my eyes were stinging. We travel several times a year and that hasnt been something I've experienced before. Maybe they had just added the chlorine or whatever. Either way, the short time we did spend in there was nice. The staff was friendly throughout our 2 night stay. We would return if in the area.

James L (8/5): - If you are looking for a 5 star luxury resort, this isn't it. If you are looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with very good amenities and an incredible staff, this is it. First the Cons: The hotel itself is a little dated. It could easily have come out of the mid 80's in look and feel. The rooms have just a few available outlets for electronics, limited drawer space and no closet. My biggest issue was no refrigerator in the room. Pros: The rooms are kept immaculate. Daily housekeeping and they do a fantastic job of cleaning and resupplying towels etc... The rooms are quiet, provide everything you need with a nice flat screen TV. The bed is comfortable, the shower surprisingly large for a hotel and the staff is the nicest I have ever found short on a $2-300/night resort. There is a pool, hot tub and small video game room that again evokes memories of the 80's. Lots of great dining, (from the original Culvers to a very nice local brew-pub right on the river as well as great shopping within minutes and of course, the Wisconsin river itself. The area is safe (I left my car unlocked for two nights before realizing it) and the people incredibly friendly. If I am ever again in Sauk City I will definitely be staying here.

angela (10/5): very positive review - we loved it. really enjoyed the pool and the jacuzzi tub in room. The bathroom had an actual WORKING FAN. we never get that. Then when each of us stepped into the shower OMG we each said WOW! there was wonderful water pressure. And did not run out of hot water. We were really impressed. I know that if the hotel was at peak capacity their would probably be more noise-but we did'nt hear any hall noise. We will be coming back and also recommending to all who are going to Wisconsin Dells.

Michelle (6/5): - Check in was great. Staff at the front desk was very kind. The room was on the pool side so it was a little noisy but the beds were comfy. The bath spout didn’t work, you had to put your finger in the spout to lift the lever to get the shower to work. Housekeeping turned our refrigerator off for some reason when we still had milk, soda's & water in the frig so when I put my leftovers in there that night I didn’t realize they turned the frig off & my food & milk went bad. Things happen so I wasn’t about to let it ruin my day, we still enjoyed our trip in the area, Sauk city is a beautiful area to visit.

I came to Sauk City because the hotels in Madison were crazy expensive during UW graduation week - I am so glad I found this motel and town - and from now on we will be staying there! Loved the spacious immaculate room, the kind staff - the adorable main street and shops/dining by the Wisconsin rover....We arrived so late bx our flight was delayed they were all so kind and patient. Breakfast was provided, I wish I had a bathing suit for the beautiful pool - and VINTAGE brewery was really something else - I can't wait to come back!

Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay at the Cedarberry Inn - The Cedarberry Inn was a great place to spend the night. The room was clean and in very good condition. It was large enough to easily accommodate a king bed instead of a single queen. I would have preferred a TV larger than what looked like a large computer monitor but the picture was very good, so not a huge deal. I appreciated the fact they didn’t increase the room rate for UW-Madison graduation weekend like those in the Madison, WI, area did.

Angela (10/5): - We really liked the Cedarberry Inn. The facility was very clean and the room was spacious. We stayed in one of the one bedroom suites which was perfect for our family of four (teenaged children). The pool facility was nice and the continental breakfast was delicious and satisfying. Every staff person I encountered was friendly. Would choose the Cedarberry again if traveling in/through the Sauk City/Prairie du Sac area. Or Baraboo. Or the Dells!
NATASHA (10/5): Great place to stay - I was unsure at first with it being a Motel and it being a bit dated but I was proven wrong so quickly. This place was so clean. The rooms are super spacious, the staff is amazing, the breakfast is perfect, cleaning staff is great, the pool is heated and just perfect. I’ve stayed at seven hotels the last two months and this was by far the best

mark (10/5): - This was one of the cleanest nicest hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff was so helpful and kind, the breakfast was amazing with biscuits and sausage gravy AND breakfast pizza. Along with French toast, bagels, pastries, cereals, yogurts etc. The pool area was nice and big and well maintained. The hotel provides drinks and they will even cook amazing Emil’s frozen pizza for you to bring to your room. They have bottles of wine too: our room was spotless clean like no other hotel I have ever been too. We were there pleasantly surprised at how INCREDIBLE this hotel was. We will definitely stay here again. I wish I could give it 10 stars!!
JACQUIE (10/5): - This is a family owned motel and the staff is wonderful. They would do anything for you and are so appreciative of your business. Very clean. Our daughter had an event at the high school and this is very convenient.
Jackie (10/5): Accomodating Owners - This is the 2nd time we've stayed here for a dance comp. They gave a warm welcome to all dancers and provided extra make-up wipes. The beds are comfortable, they have large shampoo/conditioner/bidy wash dispensers mounted in the showers, and the water pressure is amazing. The heavy brass keys are just the icing on the cake.
