- Eric (10/5): Perfect family resort - Overall an incredible experience and the perfect family resort for a long-holiday weekend. My only suggestion is to upgrade the waterslide stairs, as the paint is peeling and it’s rusting from age. Other than that it’s five stars all-around.

- Staci (8/5): - Beautiful property, rooms were great. Staff/customer service could be better. They have many activities planned, but unfortunately, they were either canceled or ended early. For example, live music planned until 10pm ended at 9pm, and the prior day was scheduled until 6pm ended at 4pm. We also had rented a slip for our boat, and the day of arrival was raining, and were told it wasn't possible to cancel that day's reservation. Not great way to start our vacation, the resort can cancel their events but had to charge us for a slip rental we didn't use.
- TERESA (8/5): - This is a beautiful resort with a lot of upscale options to enjoy at additional costs. Some onsite resort activities are offered for free (pontoon and banana boat rides) but ask in advance how early you can sign up for the activities as we received conflicting information from various staff and were ultimately unable to enjoy them because they fill up quite fast.

The staff reached out the next day about the handicap accessible room but they didn’t have any left. They moved my room to a more accessible room compared to the one I booked at no extra charge. We also were there during a tornado and staff handled it beautifully. I felt safe the whole time during the shelter in place.

Love using a BlueTooth wristband to access room, pools. Grandkids loved all the activities in the game room but not happy it closed too early in the day. Food at the pub and restaurant was very good. If we return, we woild some when weather was warmer and stay in a cottage

The hot tubs were cold and young kids bumping in and out and putting snow and ice chunks into the hot tub. Very disappointing.

Our room was not properly cleaned and was late for check in due to “cleaning”. I had asked for a late check out and I got an abrupt no you’ll be out by 11. We rushed to get out by 11 and left a stuffed animal behind. I’ve reached out and not heard back.

The food is absolutely amazing. Our room was clean and almost everything worked. My only complaint is that the shower door didn’t stay all the way closed. There was a shuttle to bring us around to all of the different activities. The room was dark enough at night. The spa services are great. Sarah did a wonderful job on my nails. We will definitely be going back again.

- Karen (10/5): Last minute November stay - Had a wonderful experience staying in a one bedroom Nokomis cabin. Unit was extremely comfortable and had all the amenities of home living. Resort staff were courteous and attentive. Spa experience was also wonderful also, highly recommend!

We stayed in the lodge, and had a beautiful view of the lake. The spa was heavenly, and the other guests there were so fun to be around. My only complaint is how quick our weekend came and went! We have already started talking about when we can come back!

- Justin (4/5): Not so grand, Grand View - The property didn’t match up to the online description. The room we thought had three beds was not in a room but in a loft space which forced everyone to go to bed early as the room with all the beds was a space for kids to sleep. Even if we wanted to use a bed in a different room, the door wouldn’t shut properly. Besides that frustration, every surface of the property was either cracked, chipped, scuffed, torn, broken, or just in need of replacement. Additionally there was what appeared to be a clean towel that was wet and bugs came out when we went to use it. The worst part was the smell! It was a strong sewage smell that never dissipated throughout our stay. When we told registration about our experience no one was overly concerned. Lastly, the distance from this property to the main grounds of the resort was a 5-10min drive depending on traffic so we barely could enjoy the amenities. I would NOT recommend this property especially given that we spent well over $600 a night to stay in a stinky, dilapidated place for vacation!

- Patricia (10/5): - I grew up in MN and had never been to Grand View Lodge. Decided to take my husband "up north" to experience the vibe, and GVL was the best way to introduce him to that! We had a wonderful stay at the newer hotel-type property. Room was well decorated, bed very comfortable, great coffee bar and lobby to enjoy so we did not have to leave the building in the morning for our daily coffee. The amenities are plentiful and daily activity schedule offers a variety of things to do. The staff is professional but not overly talkative, proficient at their jobs. The lakefront location is gorgeous, and the historic buildings are in great condition despite their age. Wish we could've stayed longer, and we will the next time we can visit! Can't wait to return!

We ate at the breakfast buffet (There were at least five restaurants on the property). The main courses of the buffet could have been hotter. The food was good and the selection other than the temperature. Staying at the Grand View was expensive. We paid for activities that we were not there to use. The staff members were friendly and courteous. We would not stay there again unless we were looking to vacation at a beautiful resort.

This company could spend a couple hours on cleaning and greatly elevate the experience.

Rooms were comfy and clean. We were in a cabin type room with a kitchen and it definitely could have used some more practical utensils and items (no spatula, no oven mitts, sponge) but that was the only inconvenience. Loved our stay.

NO consideration for an early check in for a 5 pm wedding even though my brother spent thousands of dollars on venue, drinks, dinner and rooms! They did direct me to bathrooms to get ready in. I finally took my bags to my room around midnight...after the celebration.

We did get a boat ride the day of departure but had to go sign up in person at 7:30 am. The grounds are beautiful & well kept! Beautiful area!

Please contact me to get the dates and times of my check in. He was great. The staff at the restaurant in the grand lounge was amazing the lady who took care of us on day one when we ate was amazing as well. All in all a great stay. Took my lil daughter fishing, the pontoon driver was kind and patient. Knowledgeable. We caught lots of fish and put them back in the water
