- Michael (4/5): - First room I checked into was terrible , Room
had a lots of nat's (Flies) in room
- Rebecca (6/5): - The people in the room next to me came in at 1:00 in the morning slamming and bumping. I even knew that they brought in take out. It continued until 3:00 in the morning. At that time I could no longer Go back to sleep. There were some items in the bathroom that were of concern, but you get what you pay for.
- Wanda (8/5): - If you call the phone number on-line you get no where. But when you call the desk phone or go into the lobbby theyre great! Lots of amenities like kids playground and fire pit
- Verified traveler (6/5): Uncomfortable, possibly unsafe. - Bed was very uncomfortable. The beds were pushed over the baseboard heater who's cover had fallen off with taco bell sauce packets dropped between the heating elements.
- Thomas (4/5): - Had problems checking in, they double billed me. They only had make your pancakes and waffles, no eggs except hard boiled and after one bit it didn’t taste good and had to throw it out. The drapes didn’t close all the way I had to tape them together.
- Michael (10/5): - Really friendly and spotlessly clean. Will definitely stay here again.
- David (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay
- Emelda (10/5): - Good place
- Angela (10/5): - Pretty quiet not to busy breakfast was great only issue never knew there was an extra charge when having non guest go swimming that should be posted somewhere so guest are not blindsided by the extra 10 dollar fee and we noticed some guest didn’t have to pay only in my case my children were wihh the me
- Justin (10/5): - Was exciting to have a comfortabe bed away from home!
- Jacqueline (10/5): - Everyone was polite and helpful.
- Kristina (2/5): - I made check -in for wrong day. It was couple hours ago and i didn't realize it was set on Sat not Sun. Then I read non-refundable 😔. I am disabled and make mistakes like that. My caregiver wasnt with me and usually does stuff like this for me. Are their any conditions for refunds? I am stiil staying with on Sun- the intended day/night.
- Kenneth (8/5): Good place - Clean on comfortable
- Jennifer (4/5): - The bed was extremely hard and there we badly repaired walls where someone had put holes in them.
- Joe (2/5): - I walked into the room and saw cockroaches, eatwig skins, flies and boreholes that were patched and painted over, they wouldn't mive me or refund me because i used 3rd party site. I left immediately. Not happy. So they can literally put u in a dumpster and u cant do anything because of booking through 3rd party?
- Fonda (8/5): - Ok
- Scott (10/5): - Quick easy check inn. Clean room. Perfect for a stay over night.
- Mary Ellen (6/5): - It served the purpose. Rooms are small and clean. Bed was comfortable. No hair dryer and no coffee maker in room.
- Cydnee (8/5): - This was our 2nd time staying at this hotel and I have to say it was cleaner and still a comfortable place to stay. The breakfast was nothing special but a nice option. We will possibly stay here again.
- Sue (6/5): - Beds were comfortable.
- Kyle (8/5): - Very quite. I would stay again.
- Ron (4/5): - It is a run down 1 star hotel. Reception is actually at Bay Inn hotel.
- Marcin (4/5): - room had strong smell of cleaner and dirty windows
- Norma (8/5): - Clean
- Louann (8/5): - Quiet, convenient
- Susan (10/5): - It was an old fashioned motel , no frills and I like it but it could use just some remodeling. It was very clean and I liked that it was quite compact and I could park right in front of my room. It woukd have nice if the motel itself had its own breakfast bar instead of having to walk next door. It was a great short getaway and well priced.
- kathy (10/5): - It is pet friendly, it has a fridge and a microwave,it had a complementary breakfast, pool and hot tub
- CARL (8/5): - Room was small but clean. The wife was happy so I was happy.
- Billy (4/5): - Good evening , the property is connected to another property next to it , very out dated and dirty , tight fitted ! This property is worn out ! You should get your common sense together and not be associated with this property ! I would NOT recommend this property to anyone !! Very over priced !!
- Monica (4/5): - Very dated
- Roger (8/5): - Nice place. Originally thought it was in the beach side of the street so we were disappointed we didn't have access to the Lake. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Stephanie (10/5): - I liked staying at the motel with the amenities at the hotel.
- Mark (6/5): - Not a bad place.
- James (8/5): - If you like a typical ‘70s style motor lodge this is for you. Room was clean and comfortable. Microwave and refrigerator were clean. We checked in at 430pm and the floor was still quite wet from cleaning crew. It was very humid that day but the floor was still too wet. Other than that the staff was very friendly
- Cynthia (4/5): - It could really do some updates. The bathroom had bugs on the ceiling. Never had anyone clean our room, and give us fresh towels. The pool area was nice but it was nextdoor. It's was quite, and we felt save there.
- Jamie (6/5): - We needed a place to stay in the area and the options were limited. It was fine and what I expected - nothing impressive, but I’d stay again if I needed to for a night.
- Rachel (10/5): - Had a fire pit next to pavilion. Grill availability. Grounds keep came by to help us light our fire and brought starting sticks and starting fluid and extra logs. Access to pool, hot tub. Breakfast too. Will return. Pet friendly
- Rodaine (10/5): - Place was clean, the bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend.
- Craig (10/5): - Idealic setting on the shores of Lake Huron. Classic old school roadside Inn. I recommend.
- Stuart (8/5): - Staff very friendly
- Miranda (10/5): - Bed was uncomfortable but overall we will definitely come back
- Carolyn (10/5): - This property was clean and the room was comfortable. Staff was friendly.
- Lisa (10/5): - Great staff
- Norm (10/5): Lot of extras included - Good stay. Clean and quiet. Stay included a pool, hot tub and free breakfast at the adjoining motel
- Debbie (10/5): - Reasonable price and clean. Comfortable bed
- Kathryn (8/5): Nice Motel - Very nice motel at a very reasonable rate. Room paws recently remodeled, bed was good, room was very clean. There were previous complaints about bugs. Yes there are flies but if you keep your door open you will get them! That is not the fault of the motel. I left the door open so I got a couple of flies. Different bugs in different seasons.
Overall a good stay for the rates.
- James (10/5): - Very nice for the price.
- Gabriellel (4/5): - Terrible beds; bedding not clean; bathroom not clean
- John (10/5): - basic, no frills. very little room between foot of the queen bed and the opposite wall
- Scott (10/5): - Great
- Brad and Jill (8/5): - People and staff nice and efficient.
- Tamara (4/5): - Smalll outdated motel and over priced
- Sharon (10/5): - They could get fluffier pillows, but the bed was comfortable. It had a fridge, plenty of outlets for plug-ins. Can swim and use the hot tub and breakfast next door. Overall, very nice.
- James (8/5): - Well kept property, clean rooms, nice staff.
Would have been nice to have a coffee maker instead of having to walk over to the Bay Inn next door.
Bathtub didn't have a plug or stopper to take a bath which my wife loves to do. Only a shower.
Would stay there again.
- James (10/5): - Motel was easy to find. Room was small but was clean and ok for our stay.
- Kevin (6/5): - It's ok for what it is. Generally the cheapest option in Tawas which isn't really that cheap due to the limited competition in northern MI. Loud AC, WIFI doesn't work well (assuming due to the router being too far away), rooms have that faint smell of smoke--where someone smoked and they tried to clean and cover up the smell. All that said- they do seem to be recently remodeled. The staff was ok and they do try. They have a decent continental type breakfast with hb eggs, cereal, waffles, juices, coffee, toast, oatmeal, bagels. It is what it is-some would never stay in a place like this. For me, it's ok.
- Robert (4/5): - The property was ok. Felt like we werr being watched the whole time we were there.
- Herbert (6/5): - The rooms were pretty small, and the toilet was at best a foot off the ground. If ya got bad knees you will have a hard time getting on and off of these toilets. Other than those two issues it was a nice quiet place to stay.
- Bruce (10/5): - Small, cozy motel that is extremely friendly and the property has a nice retro vibe 👍
- Verified traveler (6/5): Bare Bones - Bare bones, very small room, and expensive. They were sold out so I guess that is the going rate. It was clean. Bed was so so.
- Mike (2/5): - The person who checked us in long haired ponytail was the rudest person we've ever encountered. While checking in I went to hand him my ID and credit card he just looked me and said what do I need are you checking in. I said yes. He said down here and I dont need your cards, then proceeded to ask for all my information that I was handing him. After he gets all the info in he says wait for the prompt then hit summit. I waited a minute or so as it says confirm but in dark gray im thinking its going to turn green then hit the button. He gets mad because I didn't hit the button. So as starts explaining how breakfast in the morning works I start walking away and he calls me an a hole. Needless to say after talking to other's that were staying there he treated everyone like we were a burden. Horrible Horrible customer service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was clean and neat. Had a fridge and microwave, which was very nice to have available. I would definitely stay at Crow's Nest again.
- Donna (10/5): - Check in employee was very friendly
- kendall (6/5): - The price was too high for the room.
- Roger (10/5): - ,
- Emily (10/5): - Up here in Tawas for a work trip, excellent staff! Friendly and accommodating, would most definitely book again!
- Joanne (2/5): - This is a very old motel. Needs updating. No hair dryers in the room. Will not return.
- Arlene (10/5): - .
- Gary (6/5): - We had problems staying connected to the wi-fi; my computer kept disconnecting every few minutes and my wife couldn’t connect her computer at all and neither of our IPhones would either. Also the king size bed was too big for the room.
- Carol (6/5): - Service was good and accommodating
Breakfast was good
The room was, from what I could determine, had been closed up for some time, as it was musty smelling
A little overpriced for the room
- Judy (10/5): - mayfly's
- Laura K (8/5): - I was pleasantly surprised about how clean it was. Check in and out was easy. Breakfast was nice. The pool was nice. I would stay here again.
- Melissa (8/5): - Not really worth the price.
- Gerald (2/5): - A very tired facility that obviously is used as an annex to what appears to be a slightly upscale propert literally next door.
- Tammy (8/5): - It was perfect for us with the dog. We were right across street from lake Huron and beaches.
- Julie (6/5): Tawas - Nice location and quiet.
NOT WHEELCHAIR OR WALKER FRIENDLY.
- Tejas (10/5): - Good facilities, friendly staff.
- michael (8/5): - Friendly staff. Could not adjust heat
- John (8/5): - I was surprised there wasn’t coffee in the room and didn’t know until checkout that there was breakfast in the adjoining motel. (Same owner) Breakfast was good. The room was clean. Mattress needs to be replaced
- Devin (10/5): Great - Vwry safe and clean
- Jana (10/5): Great Service, Clean and Comfy - I have stayed here many times with my dogs and it is comfortable, clean and the staff is always super friendly. I like that it has stayed reliably good over the years and will continue to stay here.
- Josie (8/5): - Convenient to where I needed to be in Tawas. Price was fair.
- Robin (8/5): Ask questions first!! - It is affiliated with Bays Inn which is next door. Your free breakfast and your pool usage are at the Bay Inn. So you will travel back and forth for these. There is no in room coffee. It too is at Bays Inn.
Our room was clean. It smelled fresh. It was very small.
- Karen (8/5): - I can have my dog. The cost for what you get.
- matt (2/5): - i was to check in at 12pm and the staff wasnt not prepared to have room ready and was not that busy with guest they could have given me another room for there delay.. also rge property did not contact me the the room will be late for check in .. I was new to twas and left alone with no where to go for several hours
- DANYU (10/5): - Nice and friendly front desk.
- Nick (10/5): - close to were i was going easy in to praking and room
- mike (2/5): Never again - From a confusing check-in with an individual who acted like an adversary, to an outrageous dog fee and cold, very poor breakfast all the while a hostile atmosphere, I will never stay there again!
- Michael (6/5): - A quant old time highway motel. Well cared for, clean, ok service. Not worth the expensive rates I was charged though.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean, quiet little motel. Room pleasant, nothing spectacular— although it had the first working freezer I’ve had in any room in memory! Surely wasn’t worth the exorbitant, inflated summer resort rate I paid for it, but it wasn’t as if I had a choice.
- Diane (10/5): - Clean comfortable
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Slight musty smell in room. Bed comfortable and room seamed clean. Air conditioner was loud.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pet friendly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It all good
- Verified traveler (2/5): - felt ripped off. Hasn't been updated in 50 Years. Old wood painted toilet seat was warn threw to wood. Lots of ants and spiders. First nights room smelled like mold. This was a $40.00 room all day. Old Old amenities.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Everything in ROOM WAS filthy. So much build up on floor it turned our socks BLACK!!!!!! And people talking outside our room until 1:00am in morning.
