Michael (9/5): Neat little place - Convenien location to downtown Abbeville and also Calhoun Falls State Park. Perfect place for a fishing trip. Gas station/convenience store right next door makes for great early get up and go to the lake.. very friendly staff. Comfortable beds and grocery/food close by. Also great for campers that want to get out of the rain or just a place to clean up for a night or two. Not much.
Rachel (1/5): Stay clear of this place! - Absolutely nothing. Chose this place because there was no hotels within an hour from where we were because of a local concert. They went against the fair housing act and refused to acknowledge both my dogs as service dogs even when provided proper documentation. When I tryed to educate them the husband tryed to act smart an say theyre not here with you theyre not service dogs,they dont count. Now if he in fact had actually even glanced at the document i provided he wouldve saw that they were service dogs for each of my children,which were in the car. This place was very unperfessional and discriminating. They didn't care about breaking the law or going against fair housing act. I would stay clear of this place.

Gabrielle (10/5): Every aspect of this hotel from staff, pricing, location, rooms, service, etc… was more than we could have asked for, HI - Property is only 5 minutes or so from Historic Downtown Abbeville. The hotel rests upon about an acre or so of land that consists of the Hotel and BEST of all, it’s own GAS STATION! Property is always well maintained and the amount of security cameras outside allows for much peace of mind for oneself and their cars and belongings I legitimately have no complaints about this property

Suzie (4/5): Would not stay there again - I felt safe although it was a motel. The town itself seemed like a very safe place. You get what you pay for and even less sometimes. It did not feel very clean or the sheets had so much bleach that you felt it if you got under the covers. TV very small - and upon arrival she had to call someone for instructions on what to do. Was given a card for the door and a remote control for the room.

We had no room at all in the bed and if we hadn’t had our soap the one one small bar they provided wouldn’t have been enough. I didn’t like anything about this property really. There people outside partying half the night like it was a club.
Chrisley (1/5): One Of The Worse Places You Can Stay - Nothing. Room was small, dingy and not worth a penny. Syringe caps were everywhere and housekeeping was extremely rude and so were the owners.

Carrie (2/5): - The blinds were broken so people could see in the bed was supposed to be king it was two fulls and one cover you could tell hadn't been clean and the other was not much better floors was dirty there was half a roll of toilet paper no smoke detectors there was cords hanging there was all kinds of people hanging outside it and you couldn't get a hold of anyone to complain I had to get the key from the gas station and take it back there but we got there late so I got the key then they closed before we even saw the room I stayed but it definitely wasn't worth it nothing like the pictures or reviews

Mike (1/5): The motel should be shut down and you should review your policies. - Nothing The previous hotel office had been converted into a residence for the owner. We were directed to the convenience store next door to check in. We had 2 rooms reserved, both with double beds. One room was missing furniture, had a terrible odor, and had dead bugs all over it. My son immediately asked for another room. I entered my room and it was very dirty. I took a shower and there was no cold water, only hot. When I got the towel to dry off it was filthy. I took pictures of it if you need to see it. I went to the store and requested clean towels. They gave me 2 new towels. I went back and started inspecting the room. The pillow cases were filthy. I pulled the bed spread back and there was insect poop on the sheets. The bed spread had cigarette burns all in it. I went back to the convenience store and told them we could not stay in this motel. They said they understood and said that I would need to get my refund from bookings.com. I sent a message to you and never heard back. We went to the holiday inn express in Greenwood and stayed there for the 2 nights. When I got home I contacted bookings.com. They said that the reservation was non cancellable. After discussion they said they could look into it and if the motel confirmed that I had not stayed there then you woukd refund my payment. You then told me that there is a $130 charge for this service and I woukd have to pay that up front for you to do the investigation. You wanted me to provide different credit card because your system was having issues with Discover card. The pictures that were posted on line as representing the motel were not reflective of what the place actually looked like.

Richard F (5/5): Decent Budget Motel - The price was good, the room was decent, having a gas station and convenience store right on site was good! The bathtub was not as clean as I would like (a lot of dirt around the sealed edge). There was no icebox in the fridge. I missed not having coffee in the room. I suppose these are reasons for the good pricing.
Verified traveler (10/5): Westbrook motel - I stayed at the Westbrook motel for about a week and a half visiting family. It was very clean and great for the price. Some of the staff aren’t the friendliest but other than that it was a great stay.

Verified traveler (4/5): You can learn a lot from stories - Room was dirty - I dropped a white towel and picked up a brown one. Walls had suspicious black stains, and it sounded like squirrels or raccoons were in the ceiling. The sound of water dripping out of pipes in the walls and ceiling was nearly constant. Comforter had cigarette burns throughout. Motel has one room available, the rest of the rooms have long-term tenants. Tenants were screaming profanities into the small hours of the morning. I fixed their toilet as a matter of necessity. I slept lightly and I slept armed, which is how I slept at all. The mattress was very pleasantly firm (albeit loud enough to wake the dead) but the pillows were stuffed with hopes and prayers. The shower didn't drain effectively, leaving me ankle deep by the time I finished. Overall, I'd say it was educational and gave me a new appreciation for chain lodgings.

Pam (3/5): It was what I needed for a very short stay in the area but would think twice before staying again. - Location was good, price was cheap..... Check in was at a convenience store and the sign on the motel office door just said "Go to store and say 'rent room'. It was a little weird. They did not have my reservation and the clerk got on the phone and was speaking to someone about it and eventually just handed me a key and a remote for the TV. Room has recently been spray painted and they just painted over anything that was attached to the walls including the coat rack. Someone else's dinner was in the fridge, room was basically in disrepair and in need of a lot of maintenance. It seems they were making an effort to clean it up but taking the easy way out and it showed. Bed sheets were clean.

254sherryj (8/5): Mostly nice with 2 exceptions. - (Room 105). The room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. The exception #1 was the diverter on the shower (on the spigot) did not work. I had been digging and sweating at Diamond Hill Mine and really needed a shower. So I was forced to wash my hair and body under the tub spigot. Also the sink in the room did not drain until I dug a bunch of soap out of the drain then it was better. The faucet on the sink was loose also. Overall for the price it was a good stay except for the 2 exceptions. My mom was with me and brother ( he was in the room next door). Good for 1-2 nights in a small town with nowhere else to stay. The managers were very nice and accommodating.

David (1/5): Couldn't wait to get out of there. - The mattress was comfortable This was the dirtiest filthiest place I have ever been in. The bed sheets were not changed and were filthy. Only had one little bar of soap. The walls were dirty. The tub had grime and plugged drains. The TV didn't work and the a/c had problems working. The 2 two towels they left for us were dirty and really stained. I would never recommend this place to anyone. You should remove them as one of your options.

Laura (6/5): Bring your own sheets! - All staff was very nice. It was a smoking room so please double check with the property before arriving - I assumed they were all non smoking rooms! Staff tried to accommodate the request to switch rooms but the only non smoking room wouldn't work with our sleeping arrangements. Staff brought some sprays to make the room not smell so much like cigarettes. Linens were disgusting - Multiple stains with cigarette burns...Luckily I read some earlier reviews & brought our own sheets! The Raid Bed Bug can under the sink was very concerning!! I probably wouldn't stay there again but it was close to the activity and I was tired from driving so we made the best of it!

Claire (2/5): - We tried really hard to have a good night. This is my hometown and we were back in town for a family wedding. My husband had stayed there before alone and everything had been basic but clean and perfectly fine. This time we were first given a room with no working A/C in the middle of August heat in SC, and then when we tried to leave, they gave us a room with AC that at least worked but was noisy. There were bugs and mildew all over. We really needed a room with a king bed because he's really tall, but settled for a full size bed to try to give the motel owners a chance and not take away income. There were only a couple of small towels and they looked dirty as did the bed sheets and pillow cases, so I had to run to my family's house and borrow pillows and towels and a blanket because I was scared to touch the sheets by that point. But neither one of us slept all night. The worst part was the next morning when we came out of our room, seeing a family that had been put in the room we rejected because of no A/C, with small children. Those poor kids! I'm so sorry; I really wish it would've been at least sanitary if nothing else. We would have stayed here again if so. We will just spend a little more and go somewhere else next time. Sorry guys.

Used their washcloth w h2o on table cloth now black (pics), chairs never washed w burn marks, top fridge handle indent full of stuff floor in front of fridge large brown chunk of something solid stuck, bed cover full of smoke burns, small debris over sheets pillows, one handle of towel bar left, mirror never washed w old toothpaste spots cover entire bottom you can’t see reflection, local channel only no Wi-Fi microwave inside beyond words. Towels had black stains. I put their towels on chairs to put my belongings on their furniture. I bought Clorox bleach wipes then put my own dish towels over table before placing my stuff on table. Bought a new folding chair to have a place to sit also bought an extra large blanket. I took off top cover of bed laid blanket on top of pillows and sheets to lay on and then pull over me like a taco. I bought two each new towels, hand towels, wash cloth to use during my stay. The smell, mostly smoke, stale air, had to leave door open for fresh air it was bad bad. Furniture, picture leaning on wall from floor. Plug hub never ever cleaned. Now realize I washed crystal rocks I dug in tub, and it is absolutely cleaner and disinfected when I left. Met the cleaning lady when I asked for a broom. She clearly is not a housekeeper of any kind, barely able to catch her breath just walking broom to my room. Seriously consider somewhere else if they don’t change anything cuz it’s bad bad Refund wished for!

Janice (4/5): Less than basic - Check in was an elderly non English speaking woman assisted by a child who did check in with daddy via video chat. He came around later to collect payment. Located right on a highway, the place is noisy. Pillows were flat. Cleaning non existent. They tossed a couple towels in the room daily and took out trash now and then. Mostly I took out my own trash daily. The place is definitely old and patches all over the walls. The a/c was held in with duct tape.

Amy (8/5): Close to Diamond Hill Mine - It was a good stay for the price. The location is very close to Diamond Hill Mine, which was my reason for the stay. Even though the hotel is on a main road, it was rather quiet. Gas station, with reasonable prices, on site. Check in was a breeze, and the gentleman who checked me in was very pleasant and easy to talk to. It looks to me like the rooms are slowly being worked on. The room itself was clean. The bed was very firm. The AC worked, and the shower had plenty of hot water.

Lisa (10/5): Thumbs up - We traveled to check out a few of the SC state parks nearby. When I googled motels nearby and I found this place. I booked the king size bed room. The lady working the office was very polite and friendly. Our room was clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable, we had free WiFi, cable TV and free ice for the room. Overall our stay was very pleasant. We would book again if ever back in the area.

Verified traveler (2/5): - I am so sorry for this town that this kind of place exists is so shocking to me! it said under new management but I'm sorry he should have closed it down! the owner was nice and the maid that lives there was nice but the room was not exceptable at all it stunk so bad I had to buy a candle, the carpet was disgusting dirty with red stains everywhere, burn holes in sheets, comforter, we saw 3 roaches and 2 spiders, and the cable wire runs from the ceiling to the t.v. the bed side table was broke the dresser was screwed shut bathroom window had no curtain, and the rags had paint stains all over them. the add was wrong we got a bed small enough for 1 person to fit, not one lamp anywhere and he comes in with a microwave he took out of another room and it had a taco bell bag in it that has been there for so long it was pure greased! so no to this one!
