Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (10/5): - Excellent customer service! The staff was so supportive when I hurt my back and wasn’t able to drive there the night of my reservation. They gave me a full refund, which was not the type of reservation. I had very impressed and grateful!
- Christy (10/5): - Amanda is simply the best! Kind, caring and attentive. Building is adorable with its sunny yellow doors and the room was clean and comfortable.
- Melva (10/5): - Not cat friendly but ok
- Jeffrey (2/5): - It looked good on screen and the front was welcoming vut in the room was gross so gross that i tried to get a refund just on the smell alone..
- Kelly (10/5): Nice staff, good value - Friendly staff. Nice, comfortable room, for the price
- Ronda (8/5): - They didn’t have my room I reserved so I was put in a double bed room instead upstairs. Not what I wanted but made do. Nice they had fridge and microwave inside and close to restaurants.
- Delphine (10/5): - It was just a spot to stop and get some rest, the desk clerk was very helpful and nice. The room was very clean and the beds were perfect.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Friendly front desk, clean room. Narrow parking lot. I’d stay there again.
- Joseph (10/5): - Awesome place
- Dawn (10/5): - This is a very nice little inn. Very clean, best bed ever! Nice linen bedding. Only thing missing is either coffee in room or in lobby. Otherwise great little stay!
- Terrie (10/5): - The room was clean and just right for our one night stay. Accepts pets with good area for walking dog. Smoke free. Lots of good eating choices. Couldn’t ask for better.
- Kenneth (6/5): - Staff was friendly. Very loud as it is on a Main Street. They could use drapes as the Levelors basically means you wake up with sun. For the price still a good one night stop especially if you get a room back from the main drag.
- Adam (8/5): - Place was clean and easy to check in.and out. My only negative was the shower that never got hot. Was told that the rooms were being renovated, so hopefully this will get fixed.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great value - The room was very comfortable and clean and quiet. Air conditioner works, but I ended up unplugging it as I could not figure out how to adjust the temperature. Also, I wasn’t able to turn the water off in the shower. Otherwise an excellent place to stay definitely worth the cost.
- Joseph (10/5): - Quiet and Clean
- Kathleen (10/5): - Clean, quiet, really nice bathroom, nice refrigerator , bed was comfortable but no coffee, no breakfast.
- Christina (2/5): - Very run down place.
- Will (6/5): - Friendly front desk attendant. It was an ok hotel room but the mattress messed up my back pretty bad. Besides that it was ok.
- theresa (10/5): - No complaints, excellent staff rooms tidy and clean
- Lori (2/5): - Dfg
- Neil (6/5): - Needs to update thier room conditions.
- Mark (10/5): Sweet! - The Sweet Breeze Inn was great in every way - very good value for the low price (best in Grants Pass, I believe) in that the rooms (we were in 2) were big enough, clean, and had nice TVs, microwaves, and small fridges. The latter came in handy as we had car trouble and had to extend our stay from 2 nights to 6. I ordered a large pizza one night and was able to put the rest in the fridge and heat it up the next day. There are also a DQ, Sizzler, and several food trucks within a few blocks if you have to walk like I did. The staff was all very nice and accommodating about my strange situation.
What I personally liked best was the bed - it was not too hard or too soft and was great for my bad back.
I definitely recommend the Sweet Breeze and will stay there again if I'm in that area.
- Dan (10/5): - Check in was made easy with Amanda. Room was clean and comfortable, water pressure was good and hot. Bed was good, but not like home. Four Pillows were ok. Smoking on property was no issue ten feet away from buildings. Comfort and price will bring us back.
- judyj (10/5): - Modest room. Basic needs fulfilled. Solo traveler felt safe. No frills like morning coffee. Price right.
- Richard (4/5): - Beds and pillows could use an upgrade for sure. However staff was super nice, room was clean. Wouldn’t recommend if you have back problems though.
- Jack (8/5): - Nice little motel, ok for a night or 2
- Linda (8/5): - The staff and room were nice, but the parking was very crowded and there wasn’t any room to park our utility trailer.
- Heather (6/5): - Relatively clean for the price. We will not stay here again due to outside lighting shining into the room like a floodlight. No curtains, just blinds. Bed is very uncomfortable.
- staci (10/5): - Was a nice clean room check in was good
- Michael (6/5): - The room was really big and pretty nice for the price. The only problem was that they were no privacy curtains on the window. There was a big security light directly in front of the window and it lit up my room and made it difficult to sleep.
- Aaron (2/5): - There were stains all over the carpet. A giant stain right when you walk in the door. Felt gross walking on the carpet without shoes so had to wear shoes the whole time. There was a large stain on the side of the bed. Had to open a new roll of toilet paper and there was brown spots on the toilet paper. When I got to the motel they informed me you can’t have guests between 10pm and 9am without notifying the office first. Didn’t say anything about that in the rules when I booked the room.
- Dale (10/5): - Great service and friendly staff.
- Jennifer S (10/5): - The manager was very helpfull and nice.
- David (8/5): - Clean nice hotel.
- Michaella (2/5): - Property manager Amanda is rude and very unprofessional.
- Conrad (8/5): - Cute little budget hotel. It was quite and comfy for the price. beds were comfortable. shower was great.
- Yvonne (4/5): - The room was old and tired. The blinds on the window did not block out any light. The garbage truck pulled up at 5:15am to move the big bin and dump it right in front of our window on the ground floor. After a 12hour drive, I was exhausted but barely slept due to the light and noise. There were a few restaurants nearby within walking distance which was helpful. The room was cheap though and Grants Pass was convenient place to pause en route from British Columbia to California.
- TAMMY (4/5): - The room felt dirty and the blinds and other things needed a deep cleaning.
- Johann (8/5): - The staff is great our tv was having problems they came up and fixed the problem. The shower pressure isnt very good. The rooms are cozy.
- Theodore (8/5): Good - It was a nice hotel. Wish they had a coffee pot in the room
- karen (8/5): Personal feel - The front desk staff/Manager was warm and welcoming. I believe it's a 21 room place and they appear to take pride in their place. I like working with small businesses.
The room was very basic but clean. A/C was fair. There are bright outdoor lights at night so it seems like daylight (No blackout curtains).
No coffee until 9ish, no breakfast or pool or ice machine, but it has a safe and friendly feel. Good location. Clean.
I'm returning this weekend and hope that a 2nd floor room is better?
- Blanca (10/5): Excellent stay - this cozy little hotel was perfect. Perfect location and the staff were so sweet and extremely helpful. The room was adorable and beds were comfortable. Will be our go to place when staying in Grants pass.
- christina (10/5): - CLEAN! safe and quiet. i had an updated room. the staff is great, management was helpful and friendly.
- Jennifer (2/5): - The room smelled like urine and the fire alarm was missing. The property is very dated.
- James (10/5): - The staffing and owner very friendly.
My wife and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Grant's Pass.
- Alexia (8/5): - Need curtains to keep the lights at night from shining in, a bathmat. Other then that, it was a very nice room. Love the remodel.
- Michael (10/5): - Super amazing service. Would stay here again. staff was amazing
- Amanda (10/5): - Very clean and quiet. Manager is amazing
- Hayden (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay! The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and ensured I had everything I needed. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and I’d highly recommend this place. I’ll definitely return if I’m in the area again.
- Joseph (8/5): - Nice people and safe
- Carolyn (4/5): - The bed was way too soft. Scratchy blanket. The smell of chlorine bleach was overwhelmingly strong. I did not have a comfortable night sorry to say.
- Maria (8/5): Needs blackout curtains - It's a great place to stay if you don't mind the floodlight shining through the white miniblinds. Love everything about the place but that.
- Tammy (2/5): Dont believe the front desk - The smell of paint gave us headaches. Could not close blinds very dirty and broken. We opened our door to go out after dark and our room filled up with insects. We did not sleep much, couldnt wait to leave. Furniture was two torn up leather chairs. Were not sure if sheets were clean, very wrinkled, so never got in the beds, though they looked nice on the outside. Never again.
- Greg (6/5): - Lol, front office still wasn't open at 9:20 am, when I left the property.
- valerie (4/5): - I did pick this hotel because it was reasonably priced there was one window in the hotel room that did not open it smelled very musty I was told that I couldn't have any guest past 10:00 and none before 9:00 which was kind of odd
- Tracy (8/5): - Air conditioner barely worked and was noisy. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was courteous and offered options for ice cream nearby.
- Cody (4/5): - My main issue I had with the Motel, I had a guest join me at 11pm afte ra long day out, as soon as my guest came into the room, the front office begins calling my room number over and over again until I answered and began asking questions about the individual, felt very strange all in all.
But I suppose for the price you pay for the room, it should be expected to not exactly be a resort, that is a lesson I learned!
- Susan (10/5): - Clean and as expected. 2 decent beds. Table and chair plus refrigerator and microwave. Coffee was in the lobby. No frills but perfect for an overnight stay.
- James (8/5): - Great place to stay
- bum (4/5): - My room was pleaant and clean seemed like alot of perminant residents maybe some type of housing parking was hard to find
- Kurt (10/5): - Convenient, clean, comfortable bed, walking distance to decent grub. It ticks all those boxes. Would stay here again.
- Edward (10/5): 1 nighter - all around good
- Randy (10/5): - Another great experience. This will be my go to when in Grants Pass. Thank you again
- Jessica (4/5): - Lots of potential with some work. The bed was awful. Could really use a foam topper. No curtains in the room. The lights from outside shine in making it bright as day all night long. The shower head needs to be replaced. Pressure and coverage was terrible. If you’re not going to open the lobby until 9am please offer coffee in the rooms. This could be a great place with a few minor adjustments. Gal at check in was pleasant. Possibly the new owner? Location was good for our purpose. I do hope the suggestions are taken seriously. This really could be a great place to stay with some minor upgrades.
- Randy (10/5): - Front desk lady was great, very accommodating. Room didn’t feel like a hotel felt very comfortable and quiet. I would recommend. I’ll definitely stay there again. Didn’t catch the lady at check ins name but she is great.
- Pao-po (10/5): - The room is very nice and well kept.
- David (8/5): - Didnt like dirt y window blindes other than that was pretty good
- Chengyu (10/5): - Good experience. No complaints.
- Chelsey (10/5): - Amanda was great! Rom was cozy and the bed was comfortable!
- Kristi (10/5): - Property is in the middle of being remodeled and they are doing a fantastic job. Staff is wonderful and friendly. Would definitely love a small coffee pot in the room though however.
- James (10/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- James (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- John (8/5): - Good location for what i needed to do in grants pass.
- Colby (2/5): - Wi-Fi was not working the entire duration of the stay. Staff refused to even attempt a router reset on direct orders from the owners. Staff seemed willing to do more, but the owners refused.
Also the heating was unable to raise the temperature in the room to 70°. It was snowing out, but no space heater accommodation option ready upon request. Had to run the tub and faucets through the overflow and turn the whole room to a sauna before it could get to a not shivering temperature.
If you care about WiFi or are here below 50° outside, RUN!!!
- James (10/5): - Very nice and pleasant overall.
- C5269TUjasonr (10/5): Great hotel, great front desk manager (Amanda) - I can't say enough good things about Amanda (front desk) and Sweet Breeze Inn.
I was coming from a very rocky experience 2 nights previous with a nearby town AirBnb, then the following night another hotel in Grants Pass that was not nearly as nice as Sweet Breeze Inn. I definitely had some PTSD from those experiences. I drove by on 6th St. and quickly saw the sign that said something about the yellow front doors on the rooms (they are beautiful) and cozy, comfy...something like that. And it was!
The room I stayed in on the lower floor was fantastic. The price was excellent. And yes, Amanda was amazing. Great listener, friendly. And she has done so much in only 4 months! I am already looking forward to my next trip to Grants Pass.
You will see a lot of options for lodging in this town if you have never been here, but many do not look good. This one is great.
- Isaac (10/5): Friendly staff, great price, clean room - Stayed here for a couple weeks. Great place to stay! Price was great and Amanda and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend!
- Isaac (10/5): Clean, comfortable, friendly staff - Amanda at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room is clean and very comfortable, feels more like a master bedroom in a house than a hotel room. Great price too
- Terry (10/5): - Perfect for a one night stay.
- Evelyn (10/5): - It was amazing the staff was amazing the room was great, housekeepers were great. 10/10
- Kristina (2/5): - The person at the desk for check in was nice. Said the "computers were down."
Bathroom had mold all over the ceiling. I have photos. Microwave didn't work very well, couldn't hear up my coffee. Lights on balcony are so bright they keep the room lit at night. Parking is minimal!!
9:00am housekeeping woke us up knocking on the door to see if we checked out yet. 9:30am fiance went to office for coffee, woman pushed chair into walkway as if he was there to cause trouble!
945am housekeeping knocked on door AGAIN to see if we checked out. She said, "checkout at 11am." And I advised her that it was only 945am and to leave us alone!!
I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OR STAY HERE AGAIN!!!
Who the hell wakes PAYING travelers at 9:00am?!
HORRIBLE!!
- krysta c (10/5): - Very welcoming and friendly front desk clerk and clean room! I come down here once a year and will be back!
- Adrienne (6/5): - The clerk at check in was very nice. As for the property, you get what you pay for. The beds feel like a cardboard box with no padding. I would have been more comfortable on the floor. There was a bright light right in front of our window, which shone like a beacon into our room all night long. Also, since this is a lower priced hotel, it seems a lot of people who travel for their jobs come here. They drive a lot of really loud trucks, which come and go through the night. No clock in the room, so if you want to see what time it is in the middle of the night, be prepared to get your phone out.
- Melissa (6/5): - We were traveling with a dog (listing showed pet friendly). When we arrived we were told no dogs. They did honor our reservation but said they wouldn't be allowing the in the future.
Bright lights from the exterior lights shined into the room all night. The lights are great for safety to get to/from your vehicle but they may want to install some better blinds so guests can sleep.
It was close enough to shopping/dining locations.
- Kathaleen (2/5): - She said, "we don't take dogs, period!" With or without a service card! She asked if I had a dog before I told her also. I didn't stay because she wouldn't lay me and I paid online in advance.
- Lana (10/5): - The manager on duty (I didn’t get her name), was so sweet and genuine. She allowed me to check in early which was nice as I had been driving for a while.
- Victor (8/5): Business travel - Good place , new Mangers! fixing it up! and Coffee Finally!! Good People!
- Robin (2/5): - Several homeless people loitering. The carpet looked filthy. The bathroom floor was slick and slippery with wet feet. The room was upstairs and fair from parking. The TV remote would not turn tv on/off. Had to do it manually. I will not be back.
- Patricia (8/5): - Nice room
- Weylin (6/5): - friendly staff. Dirty walls, carpet and top blanket dirty, windows and blinds very dirty, small TV. Price was good and it was safe.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Room smelled and not clean. Have lots of big flies.
- Danilo (8/5): - .
- Joyce (8/5): - Peaceful night, firm mattress, nice towels.
- Karen (8/5): - The second time we’ve stayed here driving through. It’s clean and reasonably priced.
- David (10/5): - Great staff
- Rene (10/5): - Clean room and very walkable area!
- Eric (10/5): - This was a lovely place with a very comfortable bed. It was clean, well kept, and we enjoyed our stay.
- keri (2/5): - Shower stall has painted over mildew. The fan in the bathroom was duct taped up. The carpets, window blinds and microwave was filthy and the white bedding was stained.
- Victor (10/5): - property manager was very accomadating.
- Emma (10/5): Really liked this place. - Was great. Stayed in room 101, very cute. Cozy, really liked the bathroom. The AC unit that was plugged into the wall didnt work, but not a bother to me. Didnt need it, everything else worked great. Mini fridge, lamps, the wonderful fellow at the desk ( didnt get his name) was extremely friendly and nice. Very welcoming. Not an extravagant place, its simple, cute and cozy. For me, it was just what I wanted. Would go back again.
