- Mary Ellen (10/5): - Esquisite, tranquil, clean, botanical paradise with pool. It is quietly tucked away, yet minutes from the pulsing historical Old town. Positioned on the tidal river, a visual treat, watch for hours the boats, by nestling into the many bars or restaurants minutes away. Be sure to visit The Mango Room, a taste delight of excellence in Vietnamese fusion.. The rooms are large, we'll appointed with gorgeous bed and bathrooms.The balcony with seating overlooks tropical gardens,and pool. My apartment looked out over this and the river with bridge. The bridge you can walk over and will take you to a slower,authentic world. Wrapped around this, is the incredible!!!! staff, Excellence in skilled Communication and service,..always warm welcolming...and always attentive. They are a tribute to the cultural grace and warmth of the Vietnamese people and Hoi An. I will miss my morning chats at breakfast. This is a safe and caring retreat.....suitable for solo, couples... or family travellers. The well designed ,spacious property and rooms, allow for a longer stay, settle in and explore. I will definately return. .

- Vincent (10/5): A little oasis in busy Hoi An - The hotel is situated close to the busy historic center of Hoi An, which is easy accessible with the free bikes at the hotel provided. We also made every way road trip trips to different parts of Hoi An. The bikes are simple, but they do their job. The hotel has a wonderful well kept pool with beautiful plants and flowers, hence the name orchid garden. Our hosts John, Nguyen, Lee and the others made us feel very welcome and provided us with tips where to eat and shop. Nguyen even made my favorite vegetable, kho qua, for breakfast on our last morning. Absolutely nothing. There were a few afternoon parties in the neighborhood going on with loud karaoke music and there was some construction work going on, but none of it bothered us at all.

- Kristian (10/5): There was a cool big river next to the hotel and i liked how the hotel was also a restaurant which was nice - It was clean and tidy my kids loved the big fish pond with all the giant white fish and the swimming pool was nice and cold which I liked also the staff were really kind Nothing
- Cat (9/5): We WILL be back - Friendly staff, great manager all who were willing to share their wisdom and local knowledge. It took a lot of stress out of staying in a foreign country for the first time. The accommodation was amazing and the surrounding gardens lush, well kept and full of blossoming orchids. The first night of our 10 night stay had a hiccup with us being put on the 2nd floor, something I specifically asked not for and guaranteed a ground floor unit. The next day we were moved swiftly to a ground floor, interconnecting rooms. Half for me and the other for my teenagers. It was furnished well with a well equipped outside kitchen and separate bathrooms. More than enough space with teenagers to have our own space, TV for down time as well as other homely conveniences. Free bikes for moving around the area and the teenagers loved the night rides by the river with all the locally made Hoi An lanterns. All the staff were welcoming, and by the middle of our stay it was like a home away from home. Me taking plates back to the kitchen, sharing Australian snacks we had bought with us. The staff even tried Vegemite. Breakfast was a mix of traditional Hoi An and other foods. We hadn't ever eaten so well for breakfast in other places. A small boutique hotel with a family feel. With it being Christmas during our stay, the manager took a poloroid photo in the morning and gave it to us in a beautiful card that afternoon, with a few treats for the teenagers. Such beautiful words and it's the little things right..?...! 🙂 If your after 5 star luxury, this is not the place for you. If you'd like convenience, home away from home, friendly host and staff, great location by the rambling river (close to attractions, other great local food) air conditioning, private, and those little touches that make it special, this IS the place for you. We will be back. Just the small hiccup on the first night,being put on the 2nd floor that was rectified swiftly the next day.

- Greg (9/5): Hoi An is a very special place and we can't wait to come back and stay at the Villa Orchid Garden. - This is a beautiful tropical hotel located along the river just south of the old town. It's only a couple minute Grab ride into town or about a 15 minute walk. The staff are super friendly and helpful with anything you need. Our 2 room/suite was large with a fully furnished living and dining room with kitchen, a large bedroom with one of the most comfortable beds ever, and a large bathroom with a tub and shower. The pool area is surrounded by tropical plants and if not for the constant rain, we would have hung out a few hours a day by the pool. Breakfast is made to order and I highly recommend trying the Cao Lau noodles.

- LISA (10/5): Beautiful Garden - Wonderful quiet place with a lovely garden, cool pool to relax, very helpful and friendly staff and great breakfast options. With the free bikes you can reach the Old Town in about 5 minutes via a quiet road along the waterside. For my birthday I received beautiful flowers and we got a sweet handwritten card as a farewell gift. The staff makes you feel very welcome and has a lot of informations and tipps, of you need them. We would definitely come herein again :-)

Long, hot hike back upstairs if you forgot anything, and absolutely not what we booked Eaves of our room were open to daylight, effectively staying in an aviary with families of birds roosting 2m from our bed, heard every rooster and passing karaoke boat Location isn’t particularly convenient. We moved from here to somewhere far nicer for the same price, double check the location Pretty odd about meals. We got firmly reprimanded for arriving to breakfast at 9.30am and told it would be ok today but please come earlier next time. Tried to get lunch and evening meals a couple of times with no luck Owners used booking.com as an excuse not to resolve wrong room

The property’s riverside location provides a peaceful atmosphere and picturesque view and yet it is still very accessible and walkable to nearby attractions. Shoutout to Tran, Lee and the entire team for making my stay in Hoi An so memorable.
- Reece (9/5): A wonderful and charming place with great hosts. - The location was really close to Hoi An old town but far away enough it was quite and didn't feel busy at all. Yet a 10 minute cycle with the bikes provided and your smack bang in the business of Old Town! The staff can't do enough for you, constantly checking if you comfortable, happy, need any guides or ideas for days out or things to do. Close to some wonderful restaurants, and good value for Money. If we were to return to. Hoi An we would most definitely consider staying here again. Thanks so much. The smell in the bathroom in the morning is strong, the classic sewer smell that plagues alot of South East Asia, we know its unavoidable, but it made that main bathroom hard to use until after midday when the smell seemed to disserpate.
- Martin (9/5): 10 out of 10 - Fabulous small boutique hotel by the riverside around 15 mins from Hoi An’s Old Town. We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids which was a great size and very comfortable. Excellent pool for cooling off after a day visiting the sights in and around Hoi An. Fantastic breakfast too. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. A perfect choice for any trip to Hoi An. Thanks for making our stay so great.

- Cameron (10/5): great spot highly recomended, we will go back - This place was excellent—it was our favorite hotel in Vietnam! Our room was very spacious and included a living room/kitchen area, a large bedroom, and a walk-in shower with a large tub. The pool looked lovely, although we didn't actually use it, and the grounds were magical; it was like walking into a lush garden. They made us a delicious breakfast every morning and were very helpful and accommodating, giving us tips about the town and what prices should be vs what people will try to charge you. If you have difficulty walking, this might not be the best, as it's a lovely 20-minute walk along the river to get to the old town (grabs were easy to get) , but if you like peace and quiet, this is the spot! also the coffee shop right next door is amazing! We had no issues, the only problem that I could see other people having is the walk into town. It was fine for us, but if you're older or have difficulty walking, it might be a bit far (20 minutes). Having said that, it was very easy to 'Grab' a ride, and the walk was beautifully lit and right along the river; it also felt very safe a night.

Quiet The location is a bit too far away especially if you don't ride a bike. The bathroom is grimy and not ventilated - smelled dampness and the toilet papers were damp. We found a centipede on the floor in the bathroom - it was a bit shock especially when you were bare foot in the room

The location is fantastic (we all loved riding the bicycles into the Old Town), and the gardens are beautiful (hundreds of orchid plants everywhere)! The breakfasts were delicious (they even taught me how to make Cao Lao one day). The staff are very knowledgeable, thoughtful, and helpful! We swam in the pool every day - the water was so clean and refreshing! We would 100% recommend staying at this lovely hotel!

Rooms are clean and tidy, and the garden setting around the pool is perfect. Breakfast is ample and best of all is Nguyen and Ly, both were always happy and eager to help with whatever you need. Ly even surprised us with a cake for our wedding anniversary! We will definitely stay again as we were treated like family. Nothing.

- De (9/5): Comfortable apartments along the river side - This place definitely lives up to its name ! You will get a spacious apartment in the middle of a beautiful garden, just off the river side. It takes about 15 mins to walk into the Old City, also free bikes are available. The large and beds are a big plus ! Breakfast is generous. Banh mi must try ! The staff will take care for all of your travel arrangements. The hotel is located in an authentic neighborhood, which comes with the usual noise of TV, karaoke and other typical activities of family life in Vietnam.

We had a fantastic stay at this amazingly floral location by the river… it really does live up to its name! The garden of orchids surrounds the private and secluded pool area. From the top floor, 2-room mini apartment we had 360 views (and a river view to boot), 2 (!) bathrooms that feel semi indoor/outdoor and fabulous air-con. Breakfast was leisurely and with a great selection of fruits, juices, coffee, eggs… you name it. A special mention to Lee and Gwen who take pride in knowing all the great places to eat, drink, get massages, taxis and have a friendly team supporting the exceptional service we were shown. Handy bike loans meant when we felt like it, the busy town centre was a short ride, and even the beach didn’t seem too far a cycle. Would recommend this to all and everyone in a heartbeat. - Kesha (10/5): Exceptional - I was initially worried we were too far out of town, but it was actually perfect because we were just enough removed from the hustle and bustle of the old town that it was nice and quiet and relaxing without being too far walking or biking. The staff is incredibly friendly and gave wonderful recommendations for tailors, food and activities. The rooms are super comfortable, the pool is perfect and everything on the breakfast menu is delish. I especially loved all the plants and orchids they have displayed. I highly recommend staying here.

Lee and her team went out of their way to help us book restaurants, get us taxis when we were in Old Town, and helped recommend vendors and gave us tips on how much to negotiate. We had a spacious room with a separate sitting area and there was a pool which unfortunately was raining too much to use but was still beautiful to look at!

Nguyen was very responsive via Whatssap. The breakfast was made fresh daily and was very tasty. Fruit was always served in addition to a variety of western and Vietnamese breakfast items. We tried most items on the menu and were always happy! The accommodation itself was clean, modern, and beautiful. We liked being far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Old Quarter but still a quick bicycle ride away from town. A very small thing, but if you are light-sensitive, I suggest bringing a sleeping mask as the curtains are light and the sunlight shines through.

Staff was excellent, and gave good recommendat - After a long bus ride to Hoi An, we were greeted with delicious mango smoothies and fried banana pancakes. Nguyen was very friendly, and gave a detailed breakdown of the dos and don'ts of Hoi An.

- Jennifer (10/5): Fantastic place to stay in Hoi An - This is a really lovely place to stay. We were made to feel really welcome with a cold drink and a delicious pancake. We were given loads of information about the area which was then whatsapped to us so we could refer back to it. They also booked taxis and organised tickets for us which made things easier. Our rooms were great and the pool was amazing, I wish we'd had more time to spend relaxing in the pool! Both of the mornings we stayed we had a delicious breakfast cooked for us with a choice of pancakes, omelette etc, and had a plate of fresh fruit which was heavenly. I also loved all the beautiful flowers around the property, they really made the hotel feel special and attract loads of butterflies which were brilliant to watch. If I get the chance to go back to Vietnam some day I will definitely stay here again.

- Zoe (10/5): - Loved our stay! The villas, the pool, the staff, the location, everything was fabulous. Breakfast was super yummy. We rode the free bikes everyday, which was so easy to get around. The location is perfect and really safe with kids who can just walk out along the riverfront where there are heaps of cafes and restaurants. Old town is just a 5 min ride away. We’d stay again definitely if we get the chance to return.

Breakfast was incredible, room was huge, and the staff helped us with wonderful food / suit fitting recommendations. We also rented a motor bike one day through them and used their free bikes! 10/10 would suggest. We checked in late and they left amazing passion fruit smoothies for us too. Thank you again! Nothing

- Cameron (10/5): This boutique hotel is perfect for a Hoi An stay - This boutique hotel is perfect for a Hoi An stay located on the river with a great walking path only 15 mins walk into the Ancient Town. There is a beautiful shaded pool to avoid the very high temperatures. Rooms are very large with kitchens and two bathrooms. The bed was the best we have slept on in months. The breakfast options were fantastic, including Cao Lao, Bahn Mi, western egg options and fresh tropical fruit. The hosts are wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful with organising transport and activities.
- Peter (9/5): Best section of our whole vacation in Vietnam. - The lady who checked us in and looked after us, Nguyan, was exceptional. Although I normally avoid booking trips through an agent I did so with her on the grounds that it was not in her interests to recommend something I wouldn't like. Sure enough, her suggestions were a step up from what I'd been contemplating. The main issue is that I wish I'd booked to stay longer than we did - this was the most enjoyable of all of the places we stayed in Vietnam. I wholeheartedly agree with the other positive comments about the hotel, and particularly enjoyed the very simple breakfast of fresh fruit and Cao Lau with Vietnamese iced coffee. This is the first place I'd book if I were coming back to Vietnam. Exceptional for the price. No complaints at all. The hotel was on the outskirts of town, which could be seen by some as a negative but it was a pleasant walk by the river, or a $2 taxi ride, to the middle of town.
