- nycreba (10/5): The most unequivocally beautiful hospitality from start to finish - We didn't stay at Hotel La Perla but our friends were married there earlier this fall. When planning a destination wedding, there have to be activities for the guests and the bride arranged a hike one morning. We gathered at La Perla and Mathias, the proprietor, jumped into hosting mode. He doled out waters, lent backpacks without hesitation, scratched out directions for his preferred routes and offered us recommendations for his favorite refugios at the top, "tell them Hotel La Perla sent you." Hotel La Perla hosted the evening reception for our friends and in a moment unlike any I've ever witnessed, assembled his staff in traditional dress along a red carpet to welcome the bride and groom back from their ceremony. He had brought along his mother and father - Ernesto is 90 now - to introduce them to the married couple. The intimacy of this simple gesture - and the sincerity and purity behind it - touched our friends to the core and created a memory they'll never forget but also, that I'll never forget. The night they hosted was full of that same thoughtfulness and deliberateness. Staff was gracious and engaging. The food - unsurprisingly - was outstanding. And the wine list, the wine carte offered by the restaurant, is endless and full of gems. We stayed nearby on this visit but will return to stay on site with the Costa family, in this wonderful hotel where you want for nothing because they've already anticipated it - no matter what "it" is - and have it ready for you. They are consummate hospitality professionals and it was a delight to be in their company.

- Trip24685102437 (2/5): If you want to be nickel and dimed , make reservation in this rundown property - This property may carry the Leading Hotels of the World label, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that standard. Setting and decor is old and rundown , the service philosophy seems to revolve around charging extra for absolutely everything — often without warning. From basic amenities to services you’d reasonably expect to be included in a hotel of this caliber, nearly everything comes with an unexpected fee. Instead of feeling pampered, you feel like you're being upsold at every turn. It’s disappointing and leaves a sour taste. Luxury isn’t just about the look — it’s about the guest experience. And here, that experience feels transactional, not hospitable. Definitely not the seamless, elevated stay one would expect from a member of LHW. Extremely underwhelming spa and massage experience. The massage was poorly executed, felt rushed, and completely lacked any professionalism or technique. The spa area itself is tiny and cramped, offering none of the comfort or luxury you would expect. The pool is small and uninviting, the showers are bare — no shampoo, conditioner, or body products provided. No brushes, no hair products, no amenities at all. Everything felt like an afterthought. This is not a relaxing or rejuvenating environment by any standard. Definitely not worth the cost or the time. Would not return or recommend. But the worse was interaction with few members of the staff that insisted on changing us the fee for spa entrance after we paid 150 euro for our poor massages for each and were planning to have dinner for 4 right after. When we called 4 to 5 days in advance, we were told by two staff members that there was no separate entrance fee if you’re having a spa treatment or dinner. We were planning to have both. On the way out of the spa we were asked to pay another 300 for entrance to the “ magnificent “ spa. They could not produce any email confirmation re those charges. We left the hotel very disappointed.
- panejelly (10/5): Alpine Retreat in the Dolomites - I describe this as an alpine retreat. The style is a little more German than Italian. Excellent service, fabulous spa, cool piano bar and the bartenders are very experienced. Breakfast is excellent and the resturant has a good variety of items on the menu. The pool is like a grotto and very fun to swim in. The spa has the usual services. The rooms are all wooden walls and ceilings so they have a log cabin feel. The rooms are large and the bed is super comfortable. You can walk a short distance to shops in the area.

They did provide a kettle and coffee pod machine on request though so that was good.

Having stayed in a number of Hotels that put themselves up there as among the best in the world, we now know that La Perla is, indeed, one of the very best hotels in the world. It is simply 'understated magnificence'. We cannot single out any part of the experience because ALL elements of our stay were perfect! When was the last time you stayed in a hotel for over a week and NOTHING went wrong or needed attention? Thank-you to all the staff who looked after our every need and more. Do yourself a favor and experience La Perla at least once in your life!

You feel you are part of family that has been in the Dolomites for generations, so you reap all the benefits of their knowledge and experience. The rooms--perfect. Some old school, some new, all of them perfectly appointed and comfortable. The spa was a highlight as were the dinners in the restaurant and bar. Getting to chat with Matteus, one of the owners, was fun and we felt like we'd known him for years. If you want a true Dolomites experience full of fun and luxury, this is the place for you.

The recently renovated spa offers more facilities and places to unwind after a long day of skiing. Additionally, the massage was incredible!! The La Perla team is gracious and welcoming; dining at the hotel is truly a culinary odyssey. Fabio’s cooking is award-winning. I have only one complaint: the hotel is far too warm. Excelent breakfast and dinner, very friendly personal always glad to help, very clean rooms. The hotel is located in the village and on the slope and it's really ski in ski out. Each day there was live music in the bar. I would recommend this hotel without any doubt.

- B3868LZronaldp (10/5): Best ski trip ever! - The accommodations (Romantik double Room Dolomites), staff (housekeeping, dining room, front desk, spa, and everyone else, including the fellow who took skis from the ski room to the slope), meals at Les Stües (the half board dining room), spa, and all else were fantastic. The tariff for La Perla experience (half board) is worth it. So is dinner at La Stüa de Michil, the Hotel's Michelin one star restaurant, During our stay, the weather and snow conditions were ideal. The ski area (actually several interconnected ski areas) is extensive. Don't miss the Sellaronda.

The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, providing a perfect base for exploring the Selaronda slopes. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring a delicious egg-white omelette and excellent mozzarella among other fresh and flavorful options. The wine list was extraordinary—easily one of the best I’ve ever seen. Dinner was also excellent, though we must admit that during our previous visit, the menu offered a bit more variety. Overall, Hotel La Perla continues to deliver a fantastic experience. We look forward to returning again soon!
- Gopher1990 (2/5): Trapped at La Perla in Corvara! Please send help! - Trapped at La Perla in Corvara! Please send help! I’m stunned to read the nearly uniformly positive reviews of this hotel. If zero stars were an option I would choose that. There are four restaurants available at La Perla in the winter. A half board credit is included as part of our stay so we have already paid for half the cost of our dinners. One of the restaurants is a one star Michelin restaurant and the half board credit cannot be used toward that restaurant. We didn’t consider it as we are not one star Michelin folks and it is closed till our final night here. There is one default restaurant and two others for which one needs to make a reservation ahead of time. As we arrived here at 7:30 PM on a Sunday night we figured we’d go with the default restaurant. It alternates between an à la carte menu and a fixed menu and our night of arrival was the fixed menu. It consisted of a choice of two Primi and two Secondi. My wife and I ordered each of the dishes so that we could sample the variety. To say the food was barely edible is to be kind. My wife’s order was a chicken leg and when it came, it looked so odd that she (a physician with knowledge of anatomy) asked me if the dish served to her was what she had ordered. She ate half as that was as much a she could stomach. As a result of our dining experience we had no confidence in eating more meals here and asked to check out after one night, rather than than the planned three night stay, and go on to our next destination, Bologna, where we have been several times and have a choice of restaurants. Our travel agent informed us that our stay at La Perla was nonrefundable. As this hotel is quite expensive, that was disappointing. As I explained to our travel agent, I owned a business for many years, and if I had a client who was unhappy, I apologized to them, gave them their money back, and wished them the best. Evidently, that is not the MO of La Perla. In the spirit of sandwiching in a positive comment there is a robust selection of TV channels. Avoid La Perla.

Outdoor cafe is a great way to unwind after a day of hiking. We had a birthday dinner there for 16 guests and they went above and beyond . Memorable stay!!

- Halster5 (10/5): Unbelievable spot! - This hotel! Food--fantastic. Grounds--gorgeous. Staff--lovely. Room--large, with a balcony! General vibe--spotless. But go for the pool and spa! If you like steam rooms, saunas, jets of different types, a cold water room with scented mist...! We had such a wonderful stay.

- Kate (10/5): Amazing stay in beautiful family run hotel- 5 star ++ - Absolutely loved our stay, and the hospitality from Michil, his family, and the entire team was a huge component of this. They go the extra mile to ‘surprise and delight’ guests. Our first evening we were invited to join Michil and his wife for wine and apps which was such an unexpected treat. Rooms were thoughtfully done, great outdoor sitting space, lovely sauna facilities and lots of options for drinks and dining. But Michil is the star, taking the time to connect with guests, offer hiking suggestions and generally just check-in and say hello. I would highly recommend and already thinking of how I can return!

The food was incredible with a range of different restaurants and attention to detail in the hotel unmatched. Fantastic location for walking/cycling. Already planning our next visit!

- Belinda (7/5): Would only stay here again if I was guaranteed a quiet room away from the front of the hotel and the Bistro. - The food and the staff were great. I was on the first floor facing the front of the property. The noise from both L’Murin across the road and the bistro live music below were awfully loud. The rooms were so hot it was impossible to have the balcony window closed to try to block the noise from L’Murin. No options to avoid the music from downstairs.
- Jeff (5/5): Significantly overpriced for a small hotel - The position of the hotel in Corvara is very central and right next to the ski slope/piste. The food was very good. The history of the hotel and the video of the original couple and family that started the hotel is very impressive. it’s a classic story of hotels in the area. in my experience, this barely hotel rates five stars. The spa is tiny and there are not many lounge chairs. The pool is small. There are no afternoon refreshments like another five star hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. they seem to charge you for every little thing (water, tea, etc) even after you have paid dearly for half boarding. they don’t have any ski guides that I found. There are not any organised activities (hikes, walks, etc) or calendar of events internally or in town like at other five star hotels in the area. Makes me really question the certification process for Leading hotels of the world.
