Guest Reviews
- Jessie (2/5): Don't stay here! - There was never any hot water, not at any time during a two day stay, despite times indicating when there would be hot water. There was exposed wiring in the ceiling, with burn marks along the ceiling. The linen, while it may have been washed at some point, was dark gray. The power was intermittent which wouldn't have been a problem except that the AC was supposed to keep the mosquitoes away. I slept in a sleep sack treated with permetherin and didn't have bites on my body but had five or so on my face! The hotel staff were distant and not terribly helpful. One guy in the lobby started trying to get me to go to his silk shop, and the staff did nothing to intervene on my behalf. The restaurant was bland and overpriced (I don't know if you could actually call it a restaurant, there were some chairs and tables in the basement of the hotel). You are a twenty minute walk from the ghats and for a third of the price you can stay in one of the guesthouses right on the ghats.. Don't stay here, it's filthy, overpriced and super sketchy!
- niall (10/5): Great stay - We stayed here in October. Hotel was lovely with a nice breakfast. They organised taxi and boat for the Ganges...evening trip was 550rupees each and morning trip including temples was 750 each. Rooms were very clean and staff were very helpful. When I had to go to the doctor one of the staff came with me to translate so I was very happy with that. Thanks for all your help
