Guest Reviews
- Andrew (10/5): We had a great stay. Tony was the perfect host. Located right in the heart of a beautiful little village. Would recommen - Location, lovely owners, fresh milk! It’s the small things which make the difference. ☺️
- Tracey (10/5): Wortley cottage - Very friendly hosts. Met on arrival. I was early but my room was ready. I arranged an earlier check-in, but that was no bother.
Spotless room, comfortable bed.
Breakfast was delicious with a good choice. I was well catered for as I have a gluten-free diet.
Beautiful area, lovely place to stay.
I enjoyed my short stay. I was made very welcome.
- Martin (10/5): Happy - Would stay again -
- Chris (10/5): A lucky find ! - The property was centrally located in the same building as the Post Office so not quite a cottage but none the less charming for that. Su and Tony, the hosts, were very friendly and helpful, the room was cosy & well equipped, it and the bathroom were immaculately clean. There was a very generous hospitality tray which we made good use of. Breakfast was outstanding, locally sourced produce cooked to order with generous amounts of cereals, juices, toast etc.
We were recommended to use the nearby pub and a reservation was made for us. The pub, The Wortley Arms, was every bit as good as the cottage; again, enthusiastic users of local produce with exceptional service.
All in all a very pleasurable stay! Nothing

- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - So, so clean. I'm picking and it easily met my standards. Nice and welcoming room, warm in the cold weather but not too hot, lovely spacious and hot shower, super comfy bed and quiet room. We'll be back. When the heating comes on in the night you have about 10 minutes of loud clicking from the radiator, but either turn it off or just wait it out. No issues after the 10 mins.

- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Great idea to have the option of breakfast delivered to room. Property is right in TPW bridleway. Room was clean with nice extra touches such as chocolates. My partner checked in as I was walking. She told off for going in the wrong entrance after check in and told she was on private property. When I heard of this a when I arrived it made me feel a bit on edge as I have been suffering with stress and extreme social anxiety and hate conflict of any sort even if it hasn't happened directly to me. The village unfortunately has an extremely busy road running through it although the location for the trans pennine way is fabulous.

- Gordon (10/5): Lovely cottage b&b - Superb hospitality, Tony and his wife were very accommodating what a lovely place to stay. Petty it was for only one night but I would highly recommended.
