Tim (10/5): Visiting Family - Location, comfort and price are perfect. Towels have an odor from front load washer that needs dried and disinfected due to water trapping every cycle and a little better quality toilet paper.

Ellen (10/5): It was a peaceful retreat in a beautiful location! - It was cozy and perfect to stay with my kids. We visited lots of places nearby - Spook Cave, the Wetlands Center, Villa Louis, the scenic overlook. We loved seeing the hummingbirds on the property, as well as the koi fish in their pond. We even saw a deer for a moment in the back yard! The cleaning product in the carpet had a strong smell. I appreciate that it was cleaned thoroughly but it was pretty overpowering and I had to let the room air out for quite a while before it felt comfortable again.

Martha (10/5): Cute and Cozy Ranch Room - The room was spacious, with kitchenette and Lazyboy couch. The vanity and sink were custom made and beautiful. Randy was so attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable! The bathroom door creaked loudly and woke us up in the night.

Michael (8/5): Ask more questions.... - The room was clean and looked like a log cabin inside. The property is nice for the right people. We are not bed and breakfast type people, especially in a private setting. We stayed here because this sounded like that something different we were looking for. This listing was a bit misleading as it presents this as some kind of retreat with a waterfall. It is a private residence in a neighborhood with a finished detached garage with two units. The listing shows a view of the river, and we could not see any of that from the property. My wife was uncomfortable and actually slept in her blue jeans and definitely did not shower in the morning. Everything was very clean, but just not somewhere we would have stayed if it was properly described. Again, this is nice, but just outside of our comfort zone.

Joice (8/5): - Trickling waters is a beautiful, peaceful retreat nestled in the bluffs of the Mississippi River. The room was clean and well stocked. There is a fire pit and hot tub available for use. My only suggestion is that the room needs to be updated. The furniture and appliances are dated. However, we really enjoyed our stay and will return.

Diana (10/5): Quiet Friendly Backyard Oasis - Quiet and peaceful. Very friendly owner / manager who was very kind and welcoming but not intrusive. Best sleep quality we’ve had on our two week trip. They allow smoking outside and sometimes the smoke wafted in our windows. Allowing smoking may be a positive for others but for us we didn’t like smelling the cigarette smoke from the patio below us.

So quiet and peaceful, the yard is beautifully landscaped. We stayed in the garden “shed” and the hosts were so kind to give us some extra crockery and glasses to enable us to enjoy a picnic dinner on our porch enjoying the yard with indeed trickling water! My husband really enjoyed the recliner to watch the tennis Nothing. Suggest more towel rails and some tea bags

Recliners were nice. Large TV. Room to move around. Pretty grounds. Should be a light at the corner of the driveway, to avoid any trip hazards at night. A full length mirror would be nice.

There’s a hot tub, it’s close to the casino, shops, and hiking but off the beaten path. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, with coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge, plus a balcony. Would highly recommend!

We pulled a boat in and parking would not accomodate it, but a neighbor offered up there drive and yard area to park the boat and we compensated them well for doing this. Linda (8/5): Little Oasis - Cute and cozy little apartment over a garage, complete with a fully functioning kitchenette. Located in a quiet neighborhood and close to all activities that we had planned. Additional units on property but you would never know that there were other travelers on site.

Bathroom towels smelled musty like they sat wet in a dryer too long before drying. Noise insulation was minimal as we could hear the neighbors downstairs. Passing trains kept blowing their horns loudly all night.

It was exceptionally clean, comfortable and the grounds were remarkable! The only thing about this property was the streets getting to it. We’re very narrow with pulling a boat, but this is nothing. The property owner could do anything about it. We will definitely be back if we stay in that area.!
Richard (10/5): - The property is set in a quaint. quiet setting with a koi pond and is convenient to the areas of interest. Other larger hotel properties are set near the train tracks and crossings. Six train passages at night caused our friends to have sleepless nights at a much higher room rate.

Sledgehammers (10/5): The perfect little hideaway! - Wasn't sure what to expect as we had never been in the area before. Upon arrival there was a personalized letter for us giving details. We had the pleasure of meeting the landscaper which turned out to be the owner. He was very helpful with all of our questions and gave us great options of places to eat which were wonderful. The cabin itself was very mystic walking to. Very neatly put together. The inside was very clean and comfortable. It was perfect for what we were looking for. We were able to make use of the jacuzzi as well and watch the stars. The temp was set perfect and everything is well lit up at night. Just don't get distracted by the coi pond like my wife and miss the stairs lol. All in all this is a 5 star stay. The owner is amazing and we loved the property. We were on the motorcycle so there was plenty of parking. Wish we could have stayed longer but had to get back to the work week. Everything was great!
