Guest Reviews
- craigbB6225UZ (10/5): Beautiful Resort, Friendly Host - Beautiful resort, with lovely views from the room over the fish ponds.
Venda, the host was very friendly and welcoming. On arrival, we given our breakfast choices for the next morning, as well as a map of the area with all the attractions.
The resort was clean, and quite.
Breakfast was lovely.
- SandySRGM (10/5): A Wonderful Stay at Pura Vida - The owner of Pura Vida is absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a refreshing fruit juice. As we checked in, she thoughtfully provided us with a local map highlighting all the must-see spots in the area.
The bungalows are fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast each morning was simply delicious. This serene little gem truly exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return!
- jortd2014 (10/5): Peace, kindness and quality - At this moment I am lucky, because I still have 2 more nights at this beautiful place.
I booked very late, 2 days before arrival, but everything was set and it was a warm welcome.
I always judge by seeing if what you get is equal to what you are paying. And that’s an A+.
Oké let’s start with the accommodation, the room is nice, large enough, a good cough, fridge and good shower.
The garden is beatifull and makes you want to hang out and enjoy the outside.
Then the social part, it was a warm welcome! A fresh drink en the to my key. They also give a map of the town and tell me where I can go.
After that I took a small look around and starten talking with the manager, she was very friendly ask me what I liked and gave me tips on what would match my likes. Very social and friendly!
- Daniel (10/5): - We enjoyed the scenery of the mountains and the peaceful surroundings!
- Rainer (10/5): - Very comfortable cottages in a quiet, peaceful and beautiful garden setting. Butterflies, curious fish in the ponds and exotic plants put you right away into tranquility. You are in Pai and this property shows you what it means: relaxation and a chilling forget-your-life-at-home feeling. Vanda and her staff made our experience complete. Vanda offered us opportunities, listened and had a great understanding and warmness to deal with her guests. Next time in Pai is a no-brainer. This property makes you wanna come back for longer even shortly after arrival. A wonderful and perfect place. The cottages are very clean and had a very homey feeling. We were happy we went with Vanda to her friend's restaurant uphill. Fantastic food and spectacular sunset in the mountains in a very romantic setting. The cottages are a bit outside of Pai, but even without a vehicle transportation to get there and into Pai was never a problem.Unforgettable beauty. You see us back.
- Zojer (10/5): - I came to Pai for a 2 day trip from Chiang Mai and ended up having a motorbike accident while in Pai that required that I stay in Pai for 2 more days.
After going to the hospital and returning back to the PuraVida Pai Resort, I was met with nothing but kindness from Vanda, Jeff and their staff. She was kind enough to help me retreat my wound. And due to my inability to move much, Jeff brought me lunch and a late night plate of delicious fruit and bread.
Vanda was kind enough to match me with another guest who was going back to Chiang Mai via Taxi, so that I could get back home. And they also arranged someone to drive the motorbike I rented back to Chiang Mai, so that I could return it. It took a lot of stress off of me.
I don't think there could have been a better location in all of Pai for me to be injured in. The amount of help that I received was amazing. The location is extremely beautiful, serene, and quiet. Rooms are clean and have all the amenities you might want. And the staff is always super helpful.
I realize that this is not the normal review, but I wanted to make sure readers understand that the people here go above and beyond to help anyone in need and are extremely kind hosts. I will most definitely return here when I find myself in Pai again.
Thank you to Vanda, Jeff & the Pura Vida Staff!
- Jonathan (10/5): There is Joy Here - One if the most friendly and welcoming hotels I have visited in Thailand. Owners and staff are authically happy and love what they do. There is joy at this hotel. Planning to make this a must stop everytime we are in Pai.
- J4724NHemilyw (10/5): Best hostel in pai - Amazing hostel!! Had the best time here and all the reps are amazing.
Would defenitely stay here again cause I had such a good time. Amazing activities in the night and the day, so easy to socialite here.
- giggleshb (8/5): Tranquil, jungle hide away - At the heart of Pura Vida is love, care and attention for their customers. We really felt like the staff and owner wanted us to enjoy our stay and were so sweet and lovely.
The location of Pura Vida is absolutely perfect for serenity and enjoying the Pai countryside. I went for walks in the morning and got to see the rice padis, local wildlife, viewpoints and nature. It was so beautiful. A little out of town allows to enjoy this and only a 10 min scooter ride to the centre. The actual space of Pura Vida is green and luscious; the garden and pond area being so peaceful and pretty.
The rooms are good and clean. I like the rustic Thai style with the bamboo and wood. The beds were comfortable, and although just a double size we were ok. If you’re a ‘larger’ couple you may find it a squeeze.
Ultimately we really enjoyed our time here.
- Tod (10/5): - I went to Pai to get away and enjoy some quiet relaxation. Pura Vida is that place. It's very quiet and the staff were great. The owner was away travelling while I was there but she made a point to call me via her staff to make sure everything was ok and to help with things to do. Be mindful - it's not in the heart of Pai - it's about a 15 minute peaceful and simple drive to town. Personally I loved this as I wanted to be away but if you are looking to be right in Pai all the time this may be challenging. But again getting to town is super easy and most activities are not right in Pai anyway. The rooms are nice - nothing fancy but comfortable. I would definitely return
- LasndasCanada (10/5): Quiet retreat from the business of the day and the town - We stayed here for 3 nights. Each individual cottage has everything you need. The grounds are serene and peaceful and the hosts made us feel right at home. A scooter was available for us to get around making this the ideal location. A beautiful breakfast with good coffee was a great start to our day. Would stay here again when we return to Pai.
- Escape15358346179 (10/5): An outstanding experience - Such a perfect experience!
Pura Vida pai resort is the most beautiful and pleasant place.
Venda and the staff were lovely, took care of all our needs and gave a family feeling. We warmly and lovingly recommend this wonderful place.
Pai wouldn't be the same without them!
- L9571ZIpaolom (10/5): Great location, excellent resort and amazing management - Perfect place to relax. And Vanda is the perfect host. Beautiful and peaceful resort, with nice and comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. The management is very helpful and friendly. Ready to help and organize your visit around Pai. Will come back for sure
- Raintree_Thailand (8/5): Pura Vida: Serenity is thy name! - If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing place away from the bustle of the main tourist section of Pai, Pura Vida is a very good choice. The bungalos are very clean and well-maintained. Beds and linens are very comfortable. The room had a mini fridge and a TV that was somewhat of an antique (we couldn't get it to work, but it didn't really matter as we weren't eager to watch TV anyway). The water heater was very powerful, which was great considering the cold nights and mornings. The best aspects of the place are the wonderful gardens and ponds, brimming with fish and sprinkled with blooming lotus flowers, and the warm hospitality of the new owner, who just took over three months ago. Vanda and Aad go out of their way to make visitors welcome and Vanda patiently takes care of every question and need. She sits down with each set of visitors and discusses local attractions and helps plan activities. They offer three choices of complimentary breakfast; I opted for the American breakfast (which was fine, although I would have liked to have bacon rather than chicken sausage) and my wife had French toast, which she enjoyed. Their coffee is excellent! We'd definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a good-quality, quiet and relaxed place. Vanda has lots of ideas of expanding and improving the place, so hopefully it will remain a leading spot for visitors in Pai.
- Celtia30032003 (10/5): Beautiful experience - A beautiful place to stay, surrounded of peace, flowers in a perfect garden. Really good treatment with the host, a honest, thankful and funny person. All what you need to be comfortable is in the Pura Vida Resort.
- F1063KJkaylac (10/5): Best resort in Pai - Highly recommend staying at this beautiful resort. The new owner, Vanda, is so lovely, welcoming and kind. When you check in she will give you a map and a welcome drink, sit down and give all her recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Rooms were extremely clean, comfiest bed we slept in during our Thailand trip and a nice hot shower with good pressure. Beautiful gardens and fish ponds. Place is about 10 minutes out of Pai so you can truly relax in the peace and quiet. Do yourself a favour and stay here! Thanks again Vanda, we will be back!
- anneliese2023 (10/5): Some peace and quiet in a wonderful garden - The setting of this hotel is just fantastic. We slept like a rose in this quiet green resort. The garden is splendid. It’s situated a bit further from the centre of Pai but easy to get there on a scooter. We enjoyed our stay with the generous and friendly host.
- Mai (10/5): - Nice and quiet
- pieroc374 (10/5): A beautiful stay - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pura Vida resort! It is an oasis of peace and tranquility in a beautiful natural setting which has a small lake, fish, birds and beautifully landscaped plants and flowers. it's a great home base to visit many attractions near Pai and also to just to chill and toenjoy the surroundings and the relaxing vibe.
The owner Noi is a charming and friendly lady who we enjoyed chatting with at breakfast. Breakfasts were delicious and filling. I am celiac and Noi really went out of her way to make sure I got delicious gluten free breakfasts. We are looking forward to staying here again. 😊
- AusiTraveller (10/5): Wonderful Place to relax - I stayed one of the bungalows of Pura Vida Resort and it was a very pleasant experience. The bungalow was absolutely spotless, clean, very well maintained and very well organised. The room is large and spacious and is equipped with a well functioning, quite AC system. Hot water system (electric) works very well. It is such a peaceful and quite place where you can have a fully relaxing time. The wonderful and well maintained garden (almost a small beautiful botanical garden) with lots of water ponds/small canals (with fish). The owners Noi, Aad and the staff (I met only one) are very friendly and helpful. Due to the current Covid19 situation, the restaurant is temporarily closed. It would have been a great experience to have a meal at the waterfront restaurant. So currently there is no dining (including breakfast) possibility on site or close by. This will definitely change once Covid19 restrictions are relaxed and more tourists are visiting Thailand. The best way is to have a scooter or some kind of transport to go to Pai (about 10min drive). I will definitely stay here during my next visit to Thailand/Pai. Noi and Aad, I hope international travel restrictions will ease (and it is already happening) and many more visitors will come and stay at your wonderful relaxing resort.
- farihae2015 (10/5): Cozy and peaceful - This resort is PERFECT if you have your own transport. It’s about 5-10 min drive from central pai and the drive has some lovely views. Rooms are homely, very clean and large. They were also really well sealed so insects did not get in, which isn’t always the case when staying in Thai-style huts! It’s set in a lovely garden with a large pond. The breakfast was delicious - you make your selection the night before. Noi is good fun and really informative. She told us which places were open and shut (because of covid) and gave some great restaurant recommendations. Thank you Noi!
- Pinkalici0usly (10/5): What a magical gem! - What an absolutely magical place.. .
I had never been to Pai before & decided Valentine's Day Weekend would be a good time as any to do so. So I figured a nice, quiet & dreamy place was in order. #SelfLove
When I arrived I took a taxi from the city center to the resort. Upon my arrival they helped get me settled & situated - from picking my breakfast for the next day & scheduling a scooter drop-off for me to rent.
I'm pretty thankful I taught myself to ride a scooter several months ago, because it certainly came in handy here. It took me about 15 minutes to get to the city center, but I absolutely LOVED the drive. The roads were usually quiet & you can appreciate the countryside, too. I loved riding early in the morning or in the evening when the air was deliciously cool.
The resort itself is lush & peaceful. (There's fish in the waters!) My bungalow was perfection as I could watch the sunset from my porch. People say you can go to other places around to watch the sunset, but I thought it was amazing there. If you walk out of the resort & to the left, you'll have an open field with some ox & the mountains. Enjoy exploring around!
The bed & pillows were cozy & comfy enough for me. And everything was so spotless & clean! I would have loved to have stayed there forever, haha.
I thoroughly enjoyed waking up every morning to breakfast. If I was there longer, I would have tried them all! But I enjoyed the Rice Porridge Breakfast Set & French Toast Breakfast Set. It was all so delicious & flavourful!
On my last day, the owners were gracious enough to take me themselves to the city center to catch my minivan back to Chiang Mai. Extremely kind & wonderful couple. And their personalities shine through in their love & care for their resort.
If I ever come back to Pai, I will certainly be choosing Pura Vida Resort once again!
- ChristyTravels12 (8/5): Great stay. - This is a lovely little hotel. We had our own bungalow and the room was very clean, with a comfy bed and a good shower (hot and good water pressure!) . The only downside to this hotel is how far it was out of town. Pai is a small town and we didn’t realize until we were there that it would’ve been nice to be able to just walk to town. The owner is incredible nice and very helpful she gave us a rundown of all the things to do in the area and some great restaurant recommendations. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here!
- Kar01 (10/5): What a gem of a place - perfect! - Set just outside of Pai town centre - away from crowds - we loved this resort.
The chalets are cosy and spotlessly clean, windows are fitted with insect screens, we saw no mosquitos in January.
The grounds are immaculately maintained and the large pond full of fish, so peaceful you could hear a pin drop no nearby roosters or dogs barking.
Tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water too all topped up daily. Breakfast is good, a small choice selected the day before dining. The muesli with fruit and yoghurt was really good, omelette too.
If visiting during cooler months take warm clothing. Breakfast is served on a deck overlooking the pond, it was very cold, 14 degrees Celsius up to 32 Celsius by 1pm.
Noi, the owner is a delight, we fell in love with her. Her customer service skills are second to none, a fabulous personality.
Transport is needed if staying here. We hired a motorbike for the duration of our stay and Noi dropped us at the bus station when we left.
We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area.
- 648kirkf (10/5): What a wonderful and charming place! - I found the great reviews on this place on trip advisor and decided to stay here. I was so fortunate to pick this place! Made my stay in Pai a wonderful one. I came for a night and stayed 4 nights. It’s the kind of place you just feel at peace in. Truly feels like a home away from home. The rooms were spotless and charming. Great bed, great hot water, great air con if you need it. These are all the things I look for in a place I stay. It had them all ✅✅✅✅plus a great breakfast made to order. So much better than the a typical hotel buffet. The staff attentive and take care of you as the owner would like. All warm with a sweet way about them. The location was ideal for me felt close enough to town but far enough to have serenity and tranquility.
The owners are super nice. Noi I believe her name is took great care of me. She has a lively up personality and always there to offer help and make you feel at home. Staying here you will not regret. The owner and staff all of them take great pride in what they do and the service they provide. I can’t thank them all enough.
- Keith (10/5): - Loved the peace and quite. Noi and her husband are great. I’ll be back!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The outside was lovely, the inside not so
Comfortable
- 529arnes (10/5): Pura Vida is Pure Joy! - We truly enjoyed our 2 nights stay at Pura Vida. The accommodation was very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The gardens have masses of different plants and flowers and the views across the rice fields towards the mountains were stunning. The owner manager, Noi will give you all sorts of helpful advice local sights, eating places and best parking options. We picked her place based on all the positive reviews and the fact that we wanted to stay a bit away from Pai center as it can be rather noisy there. We enjoyed the walks around the quit country roads close to Pura Vida and the lovely nature sounds from the surrounding area. Our stay was most relaxing and enjoyable.
- Raymond (10/5): Private Detached Bungalows in Manicured Jungle - My son and I had an amazing stay at the Pura Vida bungalows. Noi is great. She meets you for breakfast, asks you about your day before and tells you what you can do next, maybe the caves or the waterfalls or sunset at the canyon, or visit the elephants. Breakfasts are made to your order. I asked for 4 eggs instead of 2.
The hotel is located a few kilometers outside Pai. Most residents get around by little automatic scooters, but you can also rent a car.
The private detached Thai bungalows are located in the middle of your own private manicured jungle, even in the dry months.
You won't be disappointed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful tranquil property. Great for couples, relaxing. For me, it was a little out of town but I made it work. The owners are wonderful Andrew so helpful. They arranged a tour for myself and our friends, and were present every morning at breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay during my time in Pai.
- Suraj (6/5): - Good host but very far from town and rooms a little tired.
- Suraj (8/5): - Good host but very far from town and rooms a little tired.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I felt so taken care of throughout my stay ~ the hosts were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help me feel taken care of. My room was nice and clean and I had everything I needed. The place is a bit out of town, which was actually perfect for me to have some nice and quiet peaceful time!
- Craig (6/5): - Lovely location
Very hard bed
Gardens and breakfast lovely
Rooms a little tired need a sprus
- Corina (10/5): - Pura Vida is located in a beautiful and quiet area just outside of downtown Pai. Property is lovely and well maintained. Rooms are clean and comfortable, daily homemade breakfasts are excellent.
- Hartlee (10/5): Paradise in Pai! - We can’t say enough great things about PuraVida! It is a beautiful hotel - we loved our bungalow right in the garden. Noi and Aad are amazing hosts, and we were so happy to share their little slice of paradise just outside Pai. We loved being a few km outside of town — Noi arranged for us to rent scooters and we had a great time zipping around the beautiful countryside and visiting the town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful resort in nature! Great for those who want to escape city life. It’s a short ride away from town. The resort owners were very helpful and friendly. They helped us rent a moped and gave detailed descriptions of the best restaurants in town. The room/cabin was very private and relaxing. Breakfast is served each morning and there’s a good variety of choices. Only downsides were the occasional bug indoors and spotty WiFi but hey - it’s nature!
- Peter (10/5): - The owners of this place really make it special! We loved our stay here. Check in was a bit overwhelming at first due to the long trip from Chiang Mai to Pai. The hotel arranged a motorbike for us to rent and had it delievered to the resort. The food was delicious and we loved the little restaurant. They went as far as to place an umbrella on our porch in the morning when it was raining. The owners were some of the nicest people we have met in Thailand so far, after a month of travel and we would highly recommend staying here. It is far enough away from the city that you really can relax. We love bed this place.
P.S. if the owners give you advice on where to go...take it!!! They didn’t steer us wrong at any time! We loved all of their recommendations!
- Luke (10/5): Excellent! - This place was amazing! The owners come out right when you get there to greet you warmly and show you around. They suggested lots of cool things for me to do and see while I was there and it literally feels like a little slice of beautiful paradise.
- Reiko (10/5): Enjoyable stay! - We had a great stay here! The owners are very welcoming and friendly. They helped set up with renting the scooter and ensured that we knew everything there was to see/eat in Pai. Delicious breakfast in the morning! The only negative is that it is a bit far out of the main town, you wouldn’t be able to walk there. It’s about a 10 minute scooter ride. Would definitely stay there again! Thank you PuraVida!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a resort but a nice bed and breakfast - This is definitely not a resort as it has no resort facilities whatsoever. It is purely a decent bed and breakfast within some nice small garden with ponds in the middle of nowhere. If you have transport and are happy to bring in your own daily supplies it would be fine.
- Deborah (8/5): - It is a bit of a drive into town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel in pai - Talked to the owner noi. She will tell you about the whole area . She is like a tour guide. Great rooms good breakfast. Extended our stay we like the hotel and the pai area.
- Philiph (8/5): Fantastic stay in Pai - Lovely, clean & quiet place, very kind helpful staff. The new TV's will be great too! I
- Dave (10/5): Lovely hideaway a short ride away from Pai - We had a fantastic stay, couldn't recommend the place enough.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute but far - Great owners and cute placeto stay but removed from the city center. You could rent bikes but if you want to party at night you can't drive back after a few drinks so need to stay sober or not party. Only part that was inconvenient. Cabs are hard to get after 10 pm from The downtown city to the resort
- Louise (10/5): Beautiful garden and delightful owners - Noi and Aad are excellent hosts. They love and care for their place and their guests. The garden, little waterways and ponds are a delight. The views of garden and distant mountains very beautiful. The area is quiet, but just a short drive from the town, and a short walk to the river where we swam. The breakfasts were very well prepared by Noi and her staff and were aroi maak. I hope we can stay again. We have been to Pai many times and this is the most relaxing place we have stayed, with the most hospitable hosts.
- John (4/5): Basic rooms but needs updating. - Basic room but bathroom was unappealing. Towels need renewing - well past their best. Occasional gecko in room at night and a few ants on the bed. 'Balcony' is just place to take off your shoes - can't sit to admire any view. Garden kept beautifully but broken seats and tables make it hard to sit outside. Breakfast - fruit and yoghurt ok, but other choices not very appetising. Owner was welcoming and helpful. We left a day early due to lack of things to do in Pai on a rainy day.
- Laurie (10/5): The perfect fit for Pai - So amazing! It felt like staying with family, the kind you really like! The property is beautiful, the staff is delightful and it was such a wonderful experience. The property is not in the main part of town, just to be aware, but that really adds to it, and it's still very close
- Larah (10/5): STUNNING - What can I say about Pura vida... Best hotel we have ever stayed in. Read all the reviews which were amazing but kind of thought it was too good to be true. In fact it exceeded my expectations. The owners are absolutely phenomenal helped with everything and were so lovely to chat to. It felt like we were welcomed into someone's home. Now to talk about the hotel itself... Absolutely stunning... So serene and quiet with beautiful gardens. Rooms were a great size and very clean with the beers, in the mini fridge basically the same price as from the convenience store. Honestly could not recommend this place any more. Be prepared that it is about 10 minute drive out of town but we hired scooters that the hotel organised and had deliver costing only about 8 dollars per day. Being on the scooter on that beautiful scenery was honestly so relaxing and I loved the drive from town to the hotel. Pai is such an amazing place to visit and if you ever do go, whatever you do, stay at Pura Vida. The only negative thing I have to say is that I only stayed here 2 nights. I can't wait to go back. Thank you Noi and Aad.
Ps. The breakfast was just the cherry on the cake... Food was absolutely delicious and served with a smile and thoughtful conversation.
- Ehsan (10/5): Lovely place with wonderful hosts - Everything was excellent, Art and Noi took great care of us, from picking us up, arranging for a motorbike rental (highly recommended given the location), giving us lots of useful info about Pai and how to get around, and planning a smooth trip back. The room was clean and well accommodated, best value we found in Thailand, and the surrounding gardens were lovely. Would definitely stay there again!
- evan (8/5): excellent quality for price, distant from town - room in excellent condition, great customer service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel just outside of the city - We stayed for 2 nights, and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful and peaceful and most of all the couple who run it are exceptional hosts.
The daily breakfast is very good, with lots of fresh fruit.
Excellent value for money.
- Amanda (10/5): - The woman who owns the villas with her husband provides excellent service. She's exceptional, and the property is serene and beautifully maintained.
- DavidRedstone (8/5): Great bungalows. Shame it's far from town - Noi (Thai) and Aad (Dutch) are great. Very helpful. They have a lovely set of bungalows, gardens, and a small lake. It's really a beautiful place and that's why it costs more. That said, even with my scooter (that I rode up from Chiang Mai), I found it too far from town, especially at night. Forget drinking! The roads are poor, and under construction. Other than that, it's a great base for exploring Pai Valley and surrounds. Recommended. I stayed at 3 places in Pai, and this was the most luxurious.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful place in the countryside - Noi is amazing, funny and helpful. And her homemade red-drik and breakfast is to die for.
Pura Vida is placed 4km out side Pay, and it is a very nice walk or bikeride in to Pay. The scenery, the fresh air and the quietness is super nice.
- Nady (10/5): The place to stay in Pai! - The place is about 5 minutes by scooter from Pai village, it makes for a quiet place. It's trully beautiful and peaceful. Owners are great and will make sure your stay is memorable. The breakfast is yummy and you have it seating in beautiful surroundings. You will be away from the noise of Pai for an amazing stay! We will go back.
- Jeff (10/5): Nice and friendly stay in Pai - Nice stay about 4KM outside of Pai. We rode up from Chiang Mai on motorbikes (takes 4-5 hours) and we welcomed the rest at this accommodation. Upon check-in, we were given a map with several options for things to do in the area. This included restaurants, sights, etc. We were also asked what we wanted to order for breakfast the next morning. After an evening in Pai (seeing the owners out to dinner at the Blue Ox restaurant), we had a pleasant rest (be prepared for hot daytime to cool evenings). The next morning, Noi showed us some more ideas for our time in the surrounding area.
Overall a nice stay.
- Michael (10/5): Thai Pai - Amazing location, wonderful scenery. Yummy breakfast with great presentation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly highly recommend - I was SO well looked after by my hostess with the mostess Noi, who woke up to see me to my room, cooked me INCREDIBLE breakfasts every morning, hired a scooter for me and drew me a map of the town and places not to miss.
Pura Vida is a beautiful 10 minute drive from town, in fact the drive was one of the highlights of my trip. Very nice to get away from the bustle of the town into the stunning countryside.
The resort is beautiful with lots of plants and pretty huts everywhere. The breakfast veranda overlooks a large pond and leads into a very pretty garden
- Kelly (10/5): - Owners were kind and extremely helpful. We were sad to leave!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Return to Pura Vida - Beautiful room. I wish the bed is higher. The bathroom could use towel hook for hand towel. Everything else is exceptional.
- HO (10/5): Good Service, Clean and Relax Resort - This resort a bit far from Pai town...Suitable for who can ride motorbike only...Other is very good, good service, clean, comfortable, relaxing.
Recommend book the breakfast, delicious and eating in relaxing environment.
- Mackenzie (10/5): Amazing owners, beautiful resort - The owners are amazing! You can rent scooters directly from the property and they deal with honest people who offer fair prices. I crashed my scooter and the owners dealt with everything and even made me tea because I was upset. Super friendly people who genuinely care about their resort and the people who stay there. The property is gorgeous and secluded and just a short ride into town. Wish I could've stayed longer.
- Raelene (10/5): Peaceful setting - Clean and light filled cottage in lovely gardens. Wonderfully friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfasts were scrumptious. Highly recommend.
- sophia (10/5): Beautiful hotel surrounded by rice fields - The hotel itself is about a 10 minutes bike ride away from the centre of pai. After we booked our trip, we got a mail with the offer to be picked up from the bus station for free, which worked perfectly well. The couple that built the hotel is very nice and hospitable. We felt welcome and it was obvious that they wanted us to be happy. We felt very well taken care of and didn't even want to go back to chiang mai! Also, Noi booked an amazing tour for us that was a great experience with nice people :) the natural surrounding is simply breathtaking as well. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definetly come back if we visit pai again!
- Sarah (10/5): Wonderful staff and amenities - We had a wonderful time in Pai with Pura Vida. Our host was gracious and welcoming- she picked us up from the bus and had drinks and breakfast for us ready. She even set up free motorbike lessons! Beds, bathrooms, and A/C was great. One thing I will say is unless you have transportation it is difficult to get to. It is 2 miles outside of town so if you plan on only walking, perhaps a closer place is better. If you have a car or motorbike, this is the place to stay!!
- Jeffrey (10/5): I love this place!!! - Second time here. I love it here. Perfect for a getaway. I will be coming back and recommend to all my friends. Best customer service
- Verified traveler (8/5): A lovely retreat in the Thai countryside. - The grounds and atmosphere at PuraVida made our stay there. The resort is quite a ways out of town so every morning we woke up to the sound of birds and other creatures. There's a stream running through the property, lovely gardens and a pond. We had mainly been in cities on this trip so it a delight to finish our stay in Thailand in Pai and at PuraVida.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It's very far from the town
