Guest Reviews
- kajink2022 (10/5): Breathtaking Views and Cozy Stay at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort - I recently visited Dhulikhel Lodge Resort with my family, and it was a truly memorable experience. The highlight of our stay was definitely the stunning swimming pool — it offers an incredible scenic view that makes it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Dhulikhel.
We stayed in a suite room, which was spacious, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The overall ambiance of the resort was warm, cozy, and aesthetically pleasing — perfect for a peaceful getaway.
While the food didn’t quite meet my expectations in terms of taste, the hospitality more than made up for it. The service staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming — their warmth and professionalism truly stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for a serene retreat with great views and top-notch service, I’d definitely recommend Dhulikhel Lodge Resort.
- 45deepann (10/5): Chill Spot with Amazing Views! - Amazing place for nature lovers. The resort offers beautiful views of majestic mountains that instantly calm the mind.
I was also impressed by the beautiful abstract arts displayed throughout the property, The space is very large and open, perfect for relaxing walks or just unwinding. The rooftop swimming pool is stunning and offers a refreshing dip with panoramic views.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended !
- Sid989 (8/5): Great views, great room, food so-so. - The entrance and reception are deceiving, the place is quite big, the pool on the top floor is great, the room we had was massive with great views. The restaurant was nothing special, basic food, not the best but hey, this place certainly works for a night or two.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - - It's a great place to relax. I got a large comfortable room. Good view and good breakfast.
- debabratab97 (10/5): Amazing stay at DLR - I recently stayed at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort for three nights, and despite the incessant rain, the experience was unforgettable. The highlight was the breathtaking view of the Himalayan range from the balcony. Even with the rain, there were moments when the clouds parted, revealing the majestic peaks in all their glory. The resort itself is cozy, and the staff made every effort to ensure a comfortable stay despite the weather. The tranquility of the surroundings, combined with the stunning mountain views, made it a truly serene and refreshing getaway. Highly recommend, rain or shine!
- U993LPandrewe (10/5): Wonderful stay - Brilliant stay for 3 days while on a working holiday
Unfortunately witnessed some of the worst flooding in the region for some time
Staff super helpful and friendly.
Nothing too much trouble for them
Once the weather cleared fantastic views
Highly recommend
- luck_akash (8/5): Mesmerizing - Had a wonderful time at this beautiful property with their spacious and comfortable jr.suite. Wasn’t satisfied with breakfast comparing to other experiences but we ate to the fullest. Welcoming staff beautiful place to be passing your hectic schedule in realm of nature. Ll visit and recommend
- I3636WFhannahf (10/5): Picturesque, friendly, accommodating - Thank you to Dhulikhel Lodge Resort for accommodating me for my 6-week stay in Dhulikhel. The staff were always kind and friendly, a particular mention to Redina who went above and beyond to help me during my stay. I stayed in a deluxe double room, which had a fantastic balcony view of Kathmandu valley and contained all the basic amenities (you can ask the hotel reception to use an iron if needed). I also stayed for one night in the suite room, which is possibly the best room I have ever stayed in, it was incredible! For all guests, there is an infinity pool and lots of lounge areas to relax and enjoy the views of the valley. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and I am extremely grateful to the amazing staff of DLR for making my experience so enjoyable.
- marenbr_tens2024 (10/5): Highly recommended for families! - We are a family of four (kids 7 and 11 years old) from Norway who have spend four weeks at Dhulikhel lodge resort, and this is what we have ecmxperienced.
Starting off with some days at the pool, wich was super clean with a beautiful view. Also, the restaurant was incredible, with good food for everyone and a lovely breakfast. The rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. The hotel area are beautifully decorated with flowers and guarded day and night so it felt very safe.
We have had a wonderful stay, and nothing was better than having the nice staff around you who always make you feel like home and ensure that you have the best stay ever.
- Vesselka (8/5): - We spent three nights at Dulikhel Lodge during our trip to Nepal in January. This is a very well kept property with excellent views of the Himalayas from most of the rooms. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. I would have rated it higher if it was not for one detail. The bathroom windows do not have glass but only wooden lattice for privacy, and the temperature in the bathroom was almost equal to the temperature outside. That was making for very refreshing showers in mid-January, even though we put some towels over the wooden lattice. Plan accordingly.
- aayushmam2024 (2/5): Very worst - Very unsecured resort security system is very worst this hotel is surrounded by forest but have 0 security. It is so danger to stay with the open windows. Random people can enter your room though the balcony. So unsafe for the people who stay alone .
- wanderlustpandey (8/5): Weekend gate-away - We as a couple visited this place to spend our weekend. It's a perfect location near Kathmandu with exceptionally welcoming staff. The food from the à la carte menu was delicious. Our stay was reasonable in bb plan with a decent breakfast, though not quite up to par. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the view from the balcony was magnificent.
- S6269AXkated (10/5): Great pick for Dhulikhel - Stayed here for two weeks and the staff was so pleasant and professional. The resort grounds are stunning and when the weather is good, the view is unbeatable. Room was very comfortable, cleaned often, and the food was excellent. Didn't try the pool but it looked clean and refreshing. Very happy with my stay there
- kerrynlouiseashby (8/5): Great stay. - Having been lucky enough to arrive on a clear day the view from our balcony was amazing.
The staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful.
An excellent restaurant with a large variety of choice.
The infinity pool had an instagram worthy backdrop.
Would definitely recommend as somewhere to escape the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.
- Brij (10/5): - Very refreshing, clean, spacious room and great view from balcony.
- SJShahiz (8/5): Oldest Dhulikhel hotel still young - The Hotel has been revamped with an infinity pool, new rooms and more event venues (including outdoors). The owner is a pioneer tourism entrepreneur. The oldest hotel in Dhulikhel still looks young and healthy!
- NSTAR17 (10/5): Lovely Hotel, Amazing Family Hospitality! - Dhulikhel Lodge Resort is a family run hotel and you can feel it as you instantly feel at home. Everyone was soo kind, attentive and so helpful, I needed to do a PCR, Julia was so kind to call the hospital to check the details and to send with me someone from the hotel to accompany me and to get the report later on without me having to go again. At no cost! The rooms were comfortable and spacious, some with a private garden. You might want to book the upgraded rooms and suites. The location of the hotel is so beautiful and within 2 minutes to the shops and restaurants. There is a breathtaking infinity pool on the last floor where you can see the mountains and the valley in the horizon. The lodge is a true gem. You can ask them to organize day rips to Namo Buddha monastery or for a trek in the area. Our driver was very kind and professional.
Thank you for everything!
- raisudip (8/5): Service is top notch property needs renovation - Was there for an event and stayed there between Aug 19-20 2022. I find the place calm and very beautiful. The staffs are nice and the service was top notch. The only downside of the stay was the property. The room that I stayed with my collegues looked kinda old and shabby. Overall I think this resort needs to renovate their rooms. Other than that it is great place to stay.
- Kareelas (10/5): Excellent restaurant - The restaurant offers a wide variety of food (Western, Nepalese, Indian, Chinese etc...). The management is very friendly and the views are beautiful!
I highly recommend the restaurant - a nice stop with a view during a day trip out of Kathmandu
- 224dhurbas (8/5): Good - Good hotel.with good view from balcony. Dhulikhel is best place for weekend gateway.
We befn to resort and enjoy a lot in weekend.
Monsoons disturbing us so e how but drive is almost preetty .mostly clean and staff is good
- dougg740 (10/5): Absolutely Splendid! - The views are breathtaking, the food is excellent and the staff is some of the best I have ever seen. Close to Khatmandu and they have a free airport shuttle from the airport, which takes about an hour. The room was very clean and comfortable with a balcony which overlooks the valley and mountains. If you don't like the sounds of the mountai birds singing, cool moist morning air or lovely views, then this is not the hotel for you. I would love to come back in the fall.
- sampurnalata (8/5): Our short and excellent vacation trip - Our stay in the resort was awesome with "clean" rooms and the beautiful view from the balcony. We enjoyed delicious food which was additionally tasty because of warm and polite hospitality of each and every staff members. We are blessed to have our breakfast served by the senior member Mr. Govinda dai 🙏🏻. Thank you Mr. Salik and Mr. Nabin for the care. Special thanks to General Manager Prashant Shrestha for the itinerary to explore Dhulikhel. You made our 24 hour stay in Dhulikhel fantastic with your humble nature and warm hospitality.
We don't know the names of every staff but we thank each of them for making our stay pleasant.
Thank you!
- Lal Herath (8/5): Probably the best hotel in Dhulikhel, Nep - It was very pleasent. Staff is extreamly good and helpful. Facilities are good for the price paid.
