Guest Reviews
- anzu (10/5): - Good place to stay when your flight is delayed.
- HECTOR (2/5): - Terrible stay between 7am and 11am impossible to sleep employees made noice so loud the noice was not from the airport employees. I couldn't sleep no shower you must use airport bathrooms to brush your teeth.
- Shuhei (8/5): - There was nothing bad at all — the Wi-Fi worked well and I was able to relax comfortably. If anything, it would have been even better if I could adjust the air conditioning
- Sangeetha (10/5): - Perfect for long transfers. Have amenities and snacks in the pod. Comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend.
- Shiuling (10/5): Early flight. - It serves the function! I think it is great facility to have at all airports for people in transit or need to be at the airport at early morning.
- Jeffery (10/5): - It is accurately described. Very convenient place to sleep for a few hours.
- James (10/5): - Great place to rest in between flights!
- Ayana (10/5): - very good!thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- Peggy (2/5): - Property not accessible from arrived, transit flights
- Melanie (8/5): - Super convenient and really clean, it is a great little spot to sleep extra hours after a late flight or an early one. But this hotel is in the airport so it is noisy.
- Kirk (8/5): - It was super convenient. I landed and got through customs around 3am. It was nice being able to walk the sleep pod immediately after.
The bed was big enough for me (i'm 6'1 and weigh 220lbs). The staff was super friendly. My only complaint was about the construction going on. It became very loud very early in the morning. Felt like my room was shaking from all the banging, so didn't get the best sleep. I wish the hotel disclosed that in advance, but I'd still recommend this place if you're arriving in the middle of the night
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect for a short layover - The room was perfect for the short layover I had at the airport. The room was clean and comfortable. My only issue is that there was no bathroom- you had to use the public airport bathroom. It would be nice if there was a shower.
- Maria (8/5): - Property is as advertised.
Pros:
Very convenient location in the airport with great staff at reception who are very helpful. The single room was well equipped, clean - the bedding in particular was fresh - and with air-con and a fan for comfort.
Cons
1. The single room assigned to me was located opposite the main airport kitchen so it got noisy at 5 in the morning. The area could smell a bit as well (although room did not).
2. As mentioned in the advert, there are no bathrooms attached to the facility so you have to use the airport toilet across the hall (but those are quite clean and not crowded as most times).
- OKAHATA (8/5): - Shincery staff and Good Wi-Fi service.
- Frances (8/5): - It was very convenient to be able to stay at the airport after a late night flight rather than heading in to a flat in Hanoi.
- Erick (8/5): - It's the basic accommodation for a late arrival or early departure from Hanoi. A minimalistic approach to hospitality, the bed was comfortable, couldn't figure out how the tv worked, AC was adequate, the room was clean and the receptionist was very friendly and efficient.
- Colin (10/5): - Great option within the airport if you have a long wait between flights. Very convenient and staff super helpful. No shower but close to public toilet.
- Lee (10/5): - Staff named Sun... very helpful. She showed us the sleeping quarters and provided other airport info. I would reccommend for travelers that are in transit.
- Harumi (10/5): - The sleep pod was very clean with AC, bottle of water, good lighting, etc. It was about 15 feet away from a clean rest room in Terminal 2 and near several restaurants/shops. Very convenient to catch an early flight going to an international destination. Other guests were respectful and no noise problems. We slept well.
- Joemel (4/5): - The property is expensive but it has no shower room. It asks its customers to use the public restroom of the airport which is a no no for me. The space in the room is too small for two people with two largeluggages.
- David (6/5): - A middling experience. It was close and clean. Pretty noisy both from the proximity to the public hallway and from the pod behind the wall that seemed to be taking drumming practice at various times during the night. But I had earplugs. If your goal is to not leave the airport and find a reasonable place to sleep, this could work.
- Verified traveler (8/5): -
- Nicholas (8/5): - Very convenient when you have an early flight out in the morning or even noon
- Rolly (6/5): - It was just a bed in a cubicle. There weren’t any bathrooms in the facility. I had to use the public airport bathroom. Very efficient & friendly attendant.
- Robert (10/5): - Great stay
- Toshio (6/5): - There was no shower booth nor toilet.
- Julianne (10/5): - Very clean and surprisingly comfortable. Cute room with just what you need for a quick rest. Quiet. Staff was nice and helpful. Check-in was a breeze
I didn't expect there to be no bathrooms specific for the sleep pods. Had to use the bathrooms in the terminal, which were a minute or so walk from the pods area. And no shower in airport that we could find either. Just in case the description wasn't clear on that!
Would still highly recommend for an overnight stay or rest!
- Sarah (8/5): - This is a great little hotel if you are arriving late at the airport and need somewhere to stay quickly. Right outside the baggage exit! Very small and the bathrooms are public, but it’s exactly what it advertises.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient location - Terminal 2 second floor, very convenient for transit overnight stay.
- Inkyeong (8/5): -
- Thom (10/5): - Rất hài lòng
- Minh Khang (10/5): - Thuận tiện cho chuyến bay sáng sớm hoặc đáp muộn. Giá thành hợp lý. Nhân viên làm việc 24 giờ
- Minh (10/5): - Perfect
- L Claire D (8/5): - Inside the pod was very clean and quiet. Unfortunately the showers were not open which would have been a great amenity to have access to as were had a 10 hours layover and the price included the amenities. The inside pods are the quietest with a little noise from the outside hall when at times you could hear foot steps and chatter of passing employees and other travellers. note: Staying in an exterior pod may be noisy as the door exits right into the hall where you are exposed to passersby. They do not show this in the pictures.
- john (2/5): - It was no inside the airport. And you needed a visa to us it
- Junji (8/5): Not bad. Quick for flight. - The hotel was better than expected. Although the rooms are small, they were clean. The hotel was not located at a busy place, so the inside was quiet enough. The restroom is close to the rooms.
We saved much time for taking our flight back.
- Erica (10/5): Best Choice For 10 Hour Layover In Hanoi - Perfect - We flew in from Danang to the Hanoi (Noi Bai) airport and arrived at 10pm. Our flight to Osaka was the next morning at 8am so I didn’t want to mess with getting to a hotel by leaving the airport then having to make our way back over early again. The pod was FANTASTIC!! We landed in terminal 1, the domestic terminal, grabbed our luggage, then got on the free shuttle to terminal 2, the international terminal. Please note this pod is in Terminal 2 before security/passport control so it was great for us because we had to re-check the next morning anyhow for the second leg of our flight. I read alot reviews about people being upset they had to leave the secure area by the gates then go back thru security etc to come back to their gate for the next flight. That was a non-issue for us. The pods are on the second level below the check-in desks so it was literally a two minute trip (if that) to get upstairs & in line to check-in. We didn’t care about the lack of showers and there are restrooms to use around the corner than I don’t think are used except by people staying in the pods.
I booked two double bed units - one for my 12 year old daughter & myself, one for my husband. The pod is small, *read this as teeny tiny*, but perfect for a rest between flights. Lots of outlets, complimentary water & snacks, too. The beds, pillows and blanket were all very clean & the pod smelled clean. (Unlike the VIP sleeper private car on the train in Vietnam - that’s for another review.) 10/10💜
- Junya (10/5): -
- David (10/5): Great value for money and convenient - Great value for money and convenient
- uchiyama (10/5): - I arrived in Hanoi at night and was able to sleep immediately. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I felt safe and comfortable staying at the hotel.
- Hunter (4/5): - After visiting Hanoi, this was not worth the price as there were much better hotels nearby or in the city with cheap Uber or transportation. Service was amazing and got us moved from Terminal 2 to 1 but otherwise wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you NEED to stay at the airport. The beds were tough and we were awoken about 12:30 am to a woman banging and trying to get into our pod. The hostess was very apologetic but that really ruined the stay. Just get a hotel nea enough and take an Uber.
- Alexandra (10/5): - It was the perfect place to stay while waiting for my friends flight to land.
- Angus (10/5): Comfortable and convenient - Exactly as it says, it’s a pod! If you have a long layover and you want someone to rest I think this is excellent and very convenient. Please be aware that you have to use the airports main wash rooms.
- Jey (8/5): - Extremely conveniently located. Pretty easy to find and easy to check in, check out, etc. But not worth the money, looking back. Almost 3 times the price of hotels nearby the airport. The main factor that I booked a room here was because my flight landed around 2AM, and I thought it would be near impossible to grab a taxi that late. Come to find out, I was wrong. But it was nice, at least, to be able to subside some of my jetlag in the pod hotel before anything else, once landing.
- Michael (10/5): - Perfect to just sleep during a long layover
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was impossible to contact anyone when we had a last minute flight change. We showed up anyway for a less than 5 hour stay and no attendant could be seen- where were they? Asleep under the desk. The hotel itself is fine for what it is, it's clean and as pictured no complaints there but I'd say the service leaves something to be desired. Also the only bathrooms are the public airport washrooms.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Be very careful when booking this hotel. Despite it's name the VATC SleepPod Terminal 2 is not in a part of the terminal accessible without a visa or a visa waiver.
There is also a no-refund policy, so don't book if you're not confident you have a visa or a waiver.
When I wrote to the hotel asking about cancelling the booking, they said no and then asked me to be sympathetic to them. They weren't the ones who had wasted £50.
If you are confident that you have a visa or a waiver, still be ready to wait in long queues to get through the border and another long queue to get back into the main terminal for your flight. You will have at least 2 hours less to sleep than you think you will have.
- Stephan (8/5): Good place to stay for early flights out of Hanoi - We had a 6AM flight from Hanoi to Beijing. Considering that we had to be at the airport for checking in at least 2 hrs before and that there are very few decent hotels near the airport (which would still require a taxi ride and getting up then even earlier), it made sense to us to get to the airport the evening before. We were somewhat reluctant at first to stay there because of some of the harsh critiques. We are glad that we did at the end. We checked in at 9PM and had a wake up call for 4AM. We had a double-bunk pod. Very nice greeting and service from the reception staff. She even kept our luggage cart for the night and gave us a tour of the facilities. Very cramped space (reminded me of my days in the Navy) but enough to store your luggage inside. Confortable bed. TV with English channels. No AC though and only one fan in the room (There should be a fan at each level if AC is not going to be available in the future). Pretty quiet overall. There were a lot of critique about the noise level but they seem to have since block the staircase access at the end of the pods. No showers but bathrooms with sinks located nearby. The pods surely beat having to spend a night in airport seating area. Well worth it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was exactly as I expected from the website. Wonderful! Facility clean and quiet. Staff was lovely. The best answer to arriving late and flying out early in the morning. Had to get “presentable” to reach the nearby restroom facilities, but nobody was around overnight and not a problem. The only hassle is that the pods are outside immigration, which they tell you, so I had to get a multi-entry visa, which added $25 to the deal. I’d still do it again.
- Maurice (10/5): Perfect for quick overnight stay - This is a perfect place to sleep overnight or just for a few hours between flights. Clean, quiet, with a washroom down the hall. Staff is available all the time. Easy to find and very handy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - SleepPod is very small but efficient. The neighbors were super loud and you can hear them well. Only tv on bottom bunk. Very convenient in airport.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 100% convenient, and so very affordable. Be sure to bring ear plugs, as the pods are not 100% sound proof.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn't make it to the hotel as they have failed to mention you need visa to pass passport cinrol
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Bich was a wonderful staff and very helpful during the stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): -
- Mashiedee (8/5): Amazing stay with affordable price - Amazing place to catch up early flight.Staff was friendly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I had a good experience here, check in was easy and fast. Clean sleeping pod, just enough room for you to store your luggage; but not enough room to open your luggage. Not a problem though because you could just take it outside if you really needed something. They did mention to me that it can be loud but my stay was pretty quiet. You also have a fan in your room so you can barely hear anything going on outside. Bathrooms are nearby so easy access and the people at the counter were friendly. I'm glad I booked this because it was nice to have a place to be able to rest during my layover.
- Peter (2/5): - Was it ever noisy. They put the pods not in a secluded area but in the middle of walking pathway and other services. You can hear the blaring noise of announcements every three minutes. I couldn’t sleep at all. You also have to share a public washroom and there is no shower.
This pod should not cost me this much. I would say this is worse than a one star hotel. The only reason to use this service is if you are desperate to sleep for several hours due to fatigue. Compared to the pods in Singapore, I feel duped.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean an comfortable enough. No shower, Recommend if you need, want to crash at the airport.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very convenient and comfortable for a quick overnight.
- Mark (10/5): - This is a great place to get some rest in between flights. We arrived at 11pm and had a flight at 8am and had a great rest in the sleep pods. Only concern is if you have a noisy neighbor there isn't much sound protection between pods. Overall good experience!
- PEK HUE (8/5): Convenient location - Met my expectations and very convenient for my flight, only the pillow is too flat which is not comfortable for the neck
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very helpful receptionist. I like the pod very much - cosy and well-equipped despite the small space. What could be improved is better communication of how the TV channels work. I have great difficulty accessing the TV programs. In the end, I gave up.
- Wendy (8/5): - Very convenient location to rest before catching your flight!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Tiny space, but clean and fairly comfortable. Staff is very pleasant, and small cakes, water, and toothbrush with toothpaste provided. Also felt safe despite being in a busy airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient and inexpensive room in the airport - Clean and simple room. Especially good for a one night layover.
- Jam (8/5): - So far it's okay for a short stay for transit.
- SteveB (8/5): - Super convenient if you have an extended overnight layover. I arrived at 11 pm from the US via Tokyo with a flight to Hanoi scheduled to leave at 1pm the next day. I never had to leave terminal 2.
The pod was clean and they provide a bottle of water and a little snack cake. Toilets are right across the hall. There are no showers in the airport.
The sound insulation could be better. I could hear my neighbor snoring and I’m hearing impaired. I just had to flip my position on the bed to solve that problem. Earplugs would work for most people.
My only real complaint is not VATC’s fault: airport staff decided the best place to unload supplies and yell at each other at 6:00 am was right in front of the only place in the entire airport where people had paid to sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Recommend this stay if you have an early flight out of Hanoi. Very comfortable, quiet, away from the airport crowd. Plenty of food in the airport with reasonable prices for an airport.
- Roger (8/5): - A bit noisy but in general good
- elizabeth (8/5): Great for a few hours sleep between flights - I needed a place to rest for a few hours before taking a very late night/early morning flight. This pod was great for that. It was a small room like a couchette in a European train. My pod had a bunk bed and each bed had a tv. They provided water, some snacks. Bed was comfortable and there was a TV in the pod as well. Some kids were running around outside so it was not quiet but I still was able to sleep for a few hours. Would book again for a similar situation, but wouldn't use it to replace a hotel.
- Maru (10/5): Perfect for an overnight or a full day - Pod was clean, comfortable with near restaurant and bathroom facilities. Easy to find on 2nd floor of Hanoi airport.
It even had a window with a view to the outside 😀
- Ian (4/5): For the price, this place doesn't deliver. - I'm Canadian and found it extremely warm inside and couldn't cool it down despite using the fan and overhead vents. I barely slept because I was uncomfortable. The beds are quite narrow. There's no shower facilities available in the entire airport, something I failed to discover in advance.
- kaeru san (6/5): 12 hours transit in Hanoi - I booked this sleeping pod for 12 hours transit. I booked the sleeping pod at terminal 2 through Expedia. But the direction shows the sleeping pod at terminal 1. I think it is a mistake in the booking system
- L (10/5): Supremely convenient - Perfect for a 8-hour layover between flights. 20m to nice airport bathrooms.
- Jennifer (10/5): Airport sleep pod - Excellent sleep for a night at the airport terminal
- ollie (8/5): Located IN the airport!! :-) - Location is great, sleepod is IN the airport ( although you have to pass through immigration first before getting to the sleepod ). You have to use the public toilet, no bathroom for shower though...
- Archana (10/5): - it was good
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hanoi Airport - No showers. Needed to use public bathrooms. Would recommend long naps there instead of an overnight stay.
