• Daan (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf op prachtig klein resort met voortreffelijk ontbijt - Wij hebben een geweldige week gehad met ons gezin in de Villa. Panji Panji is een heerlijk klein resort met een een fijn zwembad erbij. Het ontbijt werd elke ochtend geserveerd in de Smiling Buffalo Cafe wat elke dag weer heerlijk was. Het resort zit een klein beetje buiten het stadje, maar dit vonden wij zeker niet hinderlijk. Met de taxi is het 3 minuten en lopend ongeveer 15 minuten.
• Anemoon Spitaels (10/5): - Zeer leuk verblijf gehad. De locatie is zeer mooi om te verblijven. Geen nieuw hotel maar zeer goeie setting en aangenaam kader. Wij mochten langer in de kamer blijven omdat we een latere vlucht hadden. Dit zonder extra kosten.

• Polina (10/5): Relaxing and recharging stay! - Such a lovely place! Very spacious and comfortable bed, AC in the room. The pool is amazing — mostly in the shade, so you can relax without the sun being too strong. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The rooms are beautiful and thoughtfully designed. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive and welcoming. And the food was simply outstanding — everything we tried was absolutely delicious!

• Sophie (10/5): A lovely unique stay - A serene escape surrounded by lush greenery and tranquil gardens, this hotel offers a calm, restorative atmosphere - perfect for relaxing and unwinding in nature. The room was unique and full of charm, yet incredibly comfortable. The balcony to sit and enjoy the nature was a big plus - a lovely spot to sit, relax and read. In terms of location it’s only a short walk to the beach and shops and the walk is along the canal. It’s also super close to the airport which is convenient, but we never heard the planes so it was still quiet and peaceful. The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond. We had a late flight and they allowed us to do a late check out so that we could shower before our flight, which was greatly appreciated. The included breakfast is fantastic. It’s a meal from The Smiling Buffalo Café, which is on site. The options were fab and it was a great way to start the day. Overall we would 10/10 recommend.
• Lynn (9/5): Eine grüne Wohlfühl-Oase - Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit im Panjii Panjii! Die Mitarbeiter waren alle super nett, die Kommunikation klappte einwandfrei über Whats App. Wir konnten über das Hotel ganz spontan und entspannt einen Roller für 40 RM für einen Tag mieten. Frühstücken konnten wir im Smiling Buffalo Café, das direkt neben den Zimmern liegt. Das Frühstück war à la carte und sehr lecker! Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb der Restaurants und Bars, dadurch sehr ruhig und man kann einfach mit Grab in die Stadt fahren. Zum Wasser läuft man ca. 5-10 Minuten, wenn man durch den Hintereingang aus dem Hotel geht.
• Rene (10/5): Fantastisch verblijf! - We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad! We werden warm ontvangen door supervriendelijke mensen. Het bed was fijn en groot. Het terrein is groen en rustig, met veel bomen en vogelgeluiden in de ochtend — wij hadden zelfs een keer aapjes op het dak! Je ziet er geregeld eekhoorns, vogels en soms aapjes. Je kunt er ook lekker ontbijten en lunchen (tot 17:00), en in het weekend is er live muziek van 10:00 tot 12:00. Het eten is echt heerlijk. Daarnaast hebben we via de accommodatie een scooter gehuurd. Wan, Ekin en het team van Panji Panji en de Smiling Buffalo dank je wel voor het fantastische verblijf!

• Kerrie (10/5): Fantastic hidden gem of a hotel. - The staff are incredibly attentive - we landed very late and they ensured someone was available after hours to meet us :) special mention to Wan, we think one of the assistant managers, who has been lovely throughout! The staff at the Smiling Buffalo cafe, onsite, were amazing too :) The whole stay was great! No negative feedback to give!

• Wout (6/5): Leuke plek, maar teleurstellend verblijf. - Het zag er leuk opgezet uit en het zat op een prima locatie. Als het vol zit kan ik mij voorstellen dat het gezellig is. Het was tijdens het einde van de ramadan. Hierdoor leek het verlaten, er was er bijna geen personeel aanwezig. De kamer was ook niet schoongemaakt. Je betaald een behoorlijk bedrag voor een kamer en daar verwacht je meer service en hygiëne voor.

• Myrthe (10/5): Perfect! - Panji panji is prachtig alleen al om naar te kijken. Een super groene mooie tuin met hele mooie en comfortabele huisjes. Wij hadden een onderverdieping en de kamer was groot genoeg met een super groot bed. Het ontbijt krijg je van het tentje wat op de locatie zit. Super lekker a la carte ontbijt met super vriendelijk personeel. De koffie is heel erg lekker en het eten ook. Echt zeker een aanrader. Je moet een stukje lopen naar het strand maar dat is goed te doen. 10/10
• Shirley Peperkamp (9/5): Heerlijke tijd, lief personeel, wij komen zeker terug! - We werden heel hartelijk ontvangen en niets is te veel voor het personeel. Ze helpen scooters huren, excursies boeken en zelfs de was ophalen. Het ligt redelijk afgelegen maar dat vonden wij juist heel erg fijn. Veel groen en zelfs apen die deze plek komen bezoeken. We hadden een enorme ruime villa en voelden ons heel erg thuis. Voor het gevoel hadden we langer willen blijven! Het enige dat we jammer vonden is dat we niet een biertje of wijntje bij het restaurant konden halen, we hadden echter een grote koelkast in het huisje en een groot balkon dus dat haalden we bij de supermarkt.
• Yaniv (9/5): Un petit havre de paix à l’écart de Pantai Cenang - La localisation est vraiment sympa, un peu excentrée par rapport à la promenade de Pantai Cenang — et tant mieux ! Palavas-les-Flots en version Temu. L’hôtel est une pépite : nous y avons séjourné dans une cabane en hauteur. Le petit déjeuner est très bien. Mais le personnel est tout simplement exceptionnel, discret et en même temps aux petits soins. Besoin d’un petit coup d’entretien : la piscine, les transats cassés, les prises dans la chambre… mais ça fait aussi son charme.

Lots of space to relax and unwind A small complex. We had the pool to ourselves each time we went Don’t be put off. It’s not on the beach but a taxi ride is quick and cheap so perfect position to have the peacefulness but beach and town in easy reach.

O chuveiro era ótimo, imensa pressão e água quente. O pequeno almoço era ótimo! Era serviço no restaurante (Smiling Buffalo Cafe), o staff foi sempre muito prestável e super simpático. A piscina era boa e estivemos sempre sozinhos, super sossegado. Tivemos apenas uma visita de uns amigos macaquinhos (super queridos). A repetir! Nada :)

• Jennifer (10/5): - Panji Panji grounds are refreshing, tropical and immaculately kept making it a calm oasis just a short grab away from the busy main street. Ekin and the staff at Panji Panji made our stay exceptional. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. From ensuring they were there to meet us for a late check in, to arranging takeaway breakfasts for early mornings, and contact details for local drivers. The rooms were well maintained with comfortable beds. The on site cafe Smiling Buffalo had delicious coffees, drinks and food, with a great vibe. We loved our stay so much that we stayed an additional night and were sad to leave. Thank you Ekin and all the staff :)

• Viktoria (10/5): Hidden gem of Langkawi - I really enjoyed my stay at Panji Panji. Ekin and Wan are super friendly and helpful hosts, they both made me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The venue is beautifully located away from business and noisiness, yet you’re in the city centre Cenang/beach Cenang just in 10min by foot. Or 2min by grab. The stay has a tropical vibe, beautiful huts surrounded by lots of green, felt like a homy jungle. Rooms are clean, comfortable, simple and beautifully designed in Bali style. They’ve got one of the best brunch cafes on site in Langkawi. The staff is so friendly and you should try everything on the menu. Their coffee is out of this world. Nasi Lemak Beef Rendang, French Toast and Banana waffles were my favorites. Sometimes they invite musicians to play in the morning which adds that little extra to the experience. I’d highly recommend this place. Nothing really. Maybe a few signs / arrows on the trees or pole to show where swimming pool or toilet is.

• P.N. (9/5): Heerlijke tropische accommodatie - Panji Panji zit bij restaurant Smiling Buffalo. Je kunt hier echt heerlijk eten en het personeel is super vriendelijk. De huisjes en het restaurant hebben een prachtige groene tuin met mooie vogels en zelfs apen die rond slingeren. Het huisje was erg netjes en ruim. Iedere dag krijg je 2 flesjes water en de handdoek wissel is als je ze op de grond legt. Je krijgt ook handdoeken voor het zwembad. Het zwembad is heerlijk. Wij hebben hem altijd voor onszelf gehad en is altijd open. Strand is redelijk in de buurt en ik ook de supermarkt en restaurants zijn in de buurt. Het is heerlijk rustig gelegen zonder geluid overlast. Al met al hebben wij een heel fijn verblijf gehad die we iedereen willen aanraden. Wat jammer is is dat het een beetje afgelegen ligt van de reuring maar wij hebben voor veel dingen een taxi genomen via Grap. Die kost weinig. Wat we ook jammer vonden is dat het restaurant bij de huisjes om 3 p.m. dicht gaat en je in helemaal niets meer kan krijgen. Tip: zet een machine neer waar je wat eten en drinken uit kan halen.
• Michelle (8/5): Gutes Frühstück und nettes Personal - Freundliche Mitarbeiter und tolles Frühstück! Leider fiel der Strom bei uns im Zimmer zweimal aus als es geregnet hat. Die Mitarbeiter reagierten sofort auf unsere Nachricht und waren innerhalb weniger Minuten an der Unterkunft, obwohl es schon spät am Abend war. Uns wurde ein neues Zimmer angeboten, als der Strom das zweite Mal ausgefallen ist - sehr zuvorkommend. Fussläufig recht weit zum Strand bei Hitze. Das Wasser im Pool sah nicht sehr einladend aus.

• Arthur (7/5): - Was een zeer mooie kamer met een ware jungle look en ook niet super ver van het strand. Prijs kwaliteit zeker OK. De ontvangst was speciaal, je komt binnen in een café en er is niet echt een ingang. Het zwembad was ook niet helemaal goed onderhouden en de weg ernaar toe niet echt knap. Hun landschap zou beter kunnen gedesigned en aangeduid worden.

The rooms were as advertised/pictured and just what we required for our quick stay. Fabulous attached cafe, enjoyed a great breakfast and lunch prior to moving onto Thailand. Wi-fi in the rooms was basic.

• Justine (10/5): Beautiful hotel, in a lovely setting with amazing staff - Loved everything! Staff are amazing and so helpful, the hotel is beautiful, with stunning rustic style buildings/ rooms . The smiling buffalo cafe serves great food and is popular with hotel and non hotel guests. There’s also a very friendly hotel cat who likes a fuss and a bit of sausage 😂We walked into town easy enough, but got a taxi back when dark. Good location, not far from airport, or port so really handy for connecting ferries/ flights to other islands. Didn’t notice any aircraft noise so the closeness isn’t a problem. Thank you for a wonderful stay ❤️

En ook super vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel. Scooter heb je hier nodig, maar dat regelen ze ook graag voor je. Alles wat top! Mocht ik dan een tip mag geven mag het zwembad van mij wat ruimtelijker en meer ligbedjes zodat je ook einde middag nog een relaxt daar een boekje gaat lezen en zwemmen.

Очень понравилось, что завтрак возможен и в обед, после 12ти. Можно выбрать одно блюдо и один напиток из меню. Действительно получается расслабиться и отдохнуть. Работают очень милые и открытые люди. Было очень приятно с ними общаться. WiFi соединение было крайне нестабильным.

• Kinga (7/5): Cosy tropical vibe - Cosy tropical vibe, friendly staff, great breakfast at the café We stayed at a lower room, there was not much air or natural light and we couldn't open the windows as there were no mosquito nets. AC was pretty loud, even in sleep mode. The location of the Panji Panji is a bit far off of the town, there is not much to do after dark in the area, you have to walk 15+ minutes to get to the busy area of Cenang.

• Karolina (8/5): I really enjoyed my stay here, it's very peaceful. - I really enjoyed my stay here. The spacious first-floor room was comfortable and made settling in easy. The onsite café was a lovely bonus - the breakfast was tasty and the coffee was excellent. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. And as a bonus, the cute cats around the property added so much charm. I’d happily stay here again. The room on the ground floor that we had on first night had a musty smell, I guess it's to do with all the rain in previous weeks. The lovely hosts moved us to a room on the first floor for the rest of our stay and it was lovely!
• Liza (10/5): Das Panji Panji ist eine tolle Unterkunft mit sehr herzlichem Personal und hervorragenden Frühstück. - Die Zimmer waren sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Auch die ganze Unterkunft samt Café ist sehr einladend gestaltet und einwandfrei gepflegt. Wir waren sehr begeistert vom inkludierten Frühstück, welches man sich jeden Tag flexibel aussuchen konnte und nach eigenen Präferenzen auch bis an die Zimmertür geliefert bekommen hat. Das Personal von Panji Panji ist extrem aufmerksam, aufgeschlossen und herzlich gegenüber den Gästen, wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt und können einen Urlaub hier nur weiterempfehlen! • giovanni (5/5): - la collocazione nella natura molto varia La stanza era da rinnovare, molto spartana, poco illuminata con mobili vecchi, presenza di zanzare, odore di muffa. La dotazione di asciugamani totalmente insufficiente: 1 asciugamano a persona, niente teli o accappatoi x la doccia.
• Sarah (10/5): Beautiful surroundings, amazing staff and food, overall perfection - Tranquil tropical surroundings, a very relaxing vibe only a 10 min walk to the beach. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and made the extra effort, helping arrange trips, recommending food or bringing a book to the table to tell us about the resident monkeys. The food and coffee at the Smiling Buffalo cafe which is onsite cafe was fantastic, loved the coffee, food was freshly prepared, beautifully presented and most importantly tasted great. • Romina (8/5): Tolller Aufenthalt in schöner Umgebung - Das Hotel liegt in einem wunderschönen und gepflegten Gartenanlage. Zudem sind die Zimmer alle sehr originell und dekorativ. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im oberen Stockwerk was ich sehr empfehlen kann. Zimmer sind geräumig und sehr sauber. Tolles Frühstück im Smiling Buffalo welches zum Hotel gehört aber vorallem auch von vielen auswärtigen Gästen besucht wird. Sehr nette und freundliche Mitarbeiter, vorallem Won welcher sich aufmerksam und sehr nett um uns gekümmert hat, vielen Dank. Hotel liegt ca 10 min vom Flughafen, um ins Zentrum zu gelangen läuft man ca 15‘ Wegen des Dauerregens und etwas undichtem Dach (das Haus ist eher alt) hatten wir viel Wasser am Boden im Badezimmer

• Harriet (4/5): Jammer - Vriendelijk personeel en goed eten Locatie teleurstellend, niets te doen en klopt niet met wat er staat, geen 4 sterren, insecten door gaten in badkamer naar buiten toe bij dak en spinnewebben in badkamer door slechte schoonmaak. Eetgelegenheid sluit om 4 uur en niets in de buurt. We zijn vertrokken na 1 nacht, wel 2 betaald. Jammer, foto's zien er te mooi uit.
• Srayaunsh (8/5): Comfortable and quiet stay in the lap of nature - The property has lot of greenery in and around it. The villas and rooms are very authentic as per the description and comfortable. The cafe serves some good food (even vegan) and probably the best coffee in Langkawi. Staff is very friendly and kind. NA

• David (6/5): It could be so much better. - 1. The staff were really nice and very helpful. They were super polite and couldn't do enough for you. 2. The breakfast was really good. Great selection from a menu. 3. The room was really quirky and had lots of character. 4. The wildlife was really good to see. 5. It was a short walk to some small local restaurants. 1. The cleaniness of the room wasn't great.My wife dropped her earring and it went under the bed. Clearly no-one has sweaped under the bed for sometime as there was an thick layer of dust/dirt and a receipt that was over 1 month old. 2. The internal plaster was blown as small pieces kept falling off into the bathroom and on the floor and showerbase. 3. We decided to go for Panji Panji as it stated on it's website that it was a relaxing place. We arrived around 7pm and the following morning greeted with machine noise as they were having a new kitchen block built. This development was not mentioned on their website or via Booking.com. We were unable to relax on our verandeh or around the pool due to the noise coming from the building site. The owner did apologise, but i think this was a little unfair towards us and other guests as we were all expecting some relaxation.

• Simone (10/5): Knus stukje jungle. - De lokatie, de huisjes en het ontbijt bij Smiling Buffalo Het enige eettentje op het terrein 'The Smiling Buffalo' sluit zijn deuren om 16.00 uur. Jij moet dan een Grab bestellen om ergens te komen of anders in het donker door onverlicht gebied rondom het complex gaan lopen.
• Bastiaan (9/5): Paradijsje met zeer vriendelijke beheerders en heerlijk restaurant! - De beheerders waren uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Verder was echt goed onderhouden paradijsje, heel sfeervol. Er zit een restaurant bij waar we iedere morgen ontbijt kregen, deze was ook echt heerlijk en met zoveel zorg en liefde bereid! Echt een aanrader !!! Wij hadden een boven en onder woning maar beiden waren helemaal prima ! niets

Nothing was too much trouble and our extra night’s stay at short notice was easily accommodated - with a room upgrade to boot! Nothing, although the pool area perhaps needs an upgrade/refit
• Stefan (10/5): - Zo ontzettend sfeervol verblijf. Ontbijt is natuurlijk in het leuke restaurant, wat fantastisch is.
• Benita (8/5): Het was een prima verblijf, vooral het ontbijt is fantastisch! - Het is een heerlijke locatie en vooral het ontbijt is fantastisch Het was een prima verblijf, bij het zwembad wellicht wat meer mogelijkheden voor een bedje. Verder mag de kamer wel wat opgefrist worden.
• Onno (10/5): Heerlijk verblijf op een rustige locatie - Wat heerlijk om hier te zijn. Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, schone villa en heerlijk ontbijten/lunchen. Zwembad was ook prima. Zitten wat tegels los maar je kan er heerlijk zwemmen al wordt dit niet veel gedaan ( was vaak ons privé zwembad).
• Vechte van der (9/5): Heerlijk Maleisië’s huisje om van daaruit het eiland te verkennen. Super vriendelijk personeel. Erg lekker ontbijt - Prachtige kleinschalige accommodatie. Super vriendelijk personeel. Zelfs de overtocht voor ons geboekt.

• laura (8/5): If you want a quiet, peaceful stay to chill, this will work. - Peaceful. Staff are very kind and good fun. The 2 girls ( sorry - I didn't get their names) were awesome and never missed an opportunity to say good morning or find out how your day was going to be. Food is delicious and coffee was excellent. Water and towels replaced daily and great rainforest shower. comfy beds and although no TV, the wifi worked most of the time. The pool needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Although the water looks fine ( the tiles grout in the pool has significant dirt build up and a few cracked tiles on the pool base could cut feet. Smiling Buffalo closes at 5 and as this is the central hub of the property, it means there is no community feel after that. However there is a great sunset restaurant 5 min walk away and a host of local restaurants and warungs. The main area is also only a 15 min walk away too.
• jean eddy (9/5): Très bel hôtel tranquille et charmant. Coup de cœur - Cadre magnifique : bungalow sur 2 niveaux ds un magnifique jardin avec du sable partout Chambre très grande. Idem salle de bain Un café (ouvert au public extérieur) propose petit dej à la carte et déjeuner jusqu a 17h Ça change des buffets immenses degueulasses le matin! Personnel adorable La piscine est grande mais le cadre n est pas super. On y accède bizarrement d ailleurs. C est dommage car qq aménagements peu coûteux pourraient rendre l endroit super. Faut 12 min pr aller en ville Mais avec un grab (Uber local) c est à peine 1.50€!

• Jennie (9/5): Very spacious and comfortable with good food. - Very comfortable and spacious room, cool treetop vibes. The cafe was very nice for breakfast. We were very happy with the accomodation. It was disappointing that the pool was not usable.
• Mike (8/5): Excellent stay, exceeded our expectations! - The staff is super! The are friendly, personal, proactive, make sure you absolutely feel at home. The in-house bistro Smiling Buffalo - were you also enjoy your breakfast - is cozy and very popular among a lot of people who drop in during the day, which add to a vibrant atmosphere. In the morning there is easy listening live music too. The bistro closes at 5 pm, so no dinner here. The lodge (we stayed downstairs) is comfy, has a lot of space and a nice terrace to relax at the end of the day. It’s just a 10 minutes scenic walk to the beach… The pool could be better equipped and cleaner.
• Hafsana (10/5): Exceptional, one to remember! - This property was a breath of fresh air from the city. The staff were so incredible, Ekin, Aisia and Wan so lovely. They were helpful from even before we arrived and were so great. The location is close to the beach and connected to a popular brunch space. I highly recommend getting a breakfast included option and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend this property, every aspect of it was so nice. Nothing!
