Guest Reviews
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional - It was convenient to interstate, restaurants and shopping areas. It was less than 10 minutes from our event Couldn't figure the channels out on TV but it was alright
- Katrina (1/5): Bad - iT WAS TERRIBLE SHE DID NOT KNOW HOW TO CHECK ME IN. i HAD REESERVATIONS AND SHE COULD NOT PRINT ME A REECEIPT SO MY RESERVATION WAS NOT USED WHERE I EARN MY POINTS. iT TOOK HER FOREVER TO TRY ND CHECK ME IN. I GIVE HER EFFORT BECAUSE SHE TRIED BUT SHE HAD NO KNOWLEDGE ALSO SAID SHE WAS THE HOUSEKEEPER.
- Dinsmore (2/5): Price to high for the level of accommodations offered. - Location Air conditioning wasn’t plugged in, cockroaches, not remote included in room, door jammed, light switch up front didn’t work. Desk connection to outlet wasn’t able to be plugged in.
- F6160SHmatthewg (2/5): DON’T DO IT - - smelled of years of smoking
- roaches everywhere (including on bed)
- old weed in the microwave
- overall in deterioration (flooring, walls, paint, etc)
- overnight staff rude and behaved “put out” when went to front office
- was told “no refunds,” even after explaining roaches in bed
- Not offered different room (not that we would have accepted it)
- drove 30min and booked diff hotel
- Connie (1/5): I will not visit this place again, ever. Rude owner and it was not worth the money we paid. It was ashamed of these - Location Pool wasn’t even in working order as advertised . All fixtures in tub and shower were rusted and came off easily!! As you showered, water would stand in shower and wouldn’t drain well. Dirty towels were to be thrown out at the door….clean towels were hung on doorknob to the room in a target sack!! Floor was nasty dirty and there were 3 live roaches in our room and a few dead ones!!
- Katrina (2/5): Very poor - Nothing. Made reservations prior to arrival and person at desk did not know how to check me in and could not be checked in by reservation so she actually just took money and gave me a key. Was on business and could not receipt me. Could not answer basic questions in reference to rooms. Bad experience all around !
- Julie (3/5): Poor -
- Jerrell (2/5): I will never stay here again. They need to shut down until renovations are completed. - I liked absolutely nothing about the stay. The staff was unknowledgeable, my room key didn’t work, because the battery had to be changed in the lock. There were no maintenance there to fix anything overnight and they could not move me. Roaches were everywhere. I had to pay for another hotel, so that my family could be come comfortable for the night.
- Mark (2/5): Very poor - That it was close to a burger place so I didn't have to go far for something to eat It was nasty and trashy
No face plates on the wall outlets
Dirty walls
- Camper07367645261 (2/5): Beware - If I could give 0 stars I would. Stopped here with my wife and kids about 2am. Went in, got a room. When we went to the room, the only working light was the bathroom light. There was was some thick, dried substance covering the tv screen. My shoe soles got cover in some kind of sticky goo from walking through the room. I immediately went back to the office and asked for a refund. The back of the receipt says you have 30 minutes to request a refund if the room is not satisfactory. The clerk said ok, the manager will issue it in the morning. It has been 5 days of repeated calls and they are refusing to issue my refund!
- Thomas (1/5): Sometimes you do get what you paid for. - it was a 2 star in your site. I’m not picky and was only planning to get 5-6 hours of sleep. I have never been to seedier establishment. I’m fairly certain I could have booked it by the hour at the front desk if you know what I mean. With a reputation like Booking.com, you should remove this place from your que. Felt I had to take EVERYTHING out of my car and leave it unlocked rather than deal with a broken window. I’m a big guy and can handle myself, but did not feel safe. I’d have been better off for a couple of hours at a rest stop.
- 153philipo (2/5): Disgusting! - DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We actually paid for a room, but when we opened the door, it was disgusting. We immediately shut the door and went and asked for our money back. They issued a refund, but it has yet to post to my account. STAY AWAY!!!
- Melody1308maker (2/5): Paid but did not stay - She said she would credit my card. Has not happened yet. I am going to consumer advocate department as they have no listing for their phone number. She ran the card through the printer but we never received a refund. Paid for room, when we got to the room it has a very very strong smell. Went right back to the office and left for another hotel.
- tiffanyd257 (2/5): WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED AT - This is my letter & photos to this hotel. When I called on 4/10/2018 because I did not get my refund the manager something Patel hung up on me then refused to answer the phone when I called back 3 times.
Owner/Management,
How much would you pay to stay in a hotel with dirty washcloths, a patched up toilet that rocks backward when you sit on it, dangling wires from a missing fire alarm, blood or puke on the boxspring, yellow fitted sheets, open/no cover on the light fixture in the bathroom, and mold on the A/C unit blowing at you all night?
I unfortunately was desperate to get out of the rain storm and stayed in your hotel that had all of these things as documented in the following pictures. I am demanding a full refund of the $60. I paid on 4/3/2018.
I did not stop at your office to deal with this issue as I was livid and it would not have been a pleasant confrontation. And when I checked in I was initially told you had a double room then a younger girl came out and told me she didn't have any doubles. When I told her I'd go somewhere else then, she instantly said she had a double available. I am dealing with you directly and if this is resolved immediately I will not post anything on social media that I am sure would effect your business.

- debbisue (2/5): Do not stop here in 2018 - Things not included in your room: smoke detector, complete bedding ,clean towels, clothes hangers, coffee or any type of beverage service including ice maker, hvac that functions, Kleenex...On the other hand the room was large and the location is good. They were a pet friendly hotel which is why we stopped there. And there was a good amount of space to walk your dog. There was a functioning refrigerator and microwave. The hotel staff seemed nice but clueless as to requests for necessities like Kleenex, towels, blankets as mentioned before (looked at me like I was speaking Greek). One of them mentioned that they are going to remodel so that is why I say forget this place 2018 and let them have a year to get their act together. Always ask to see your room beforehand is the lesson I learned.
- joannemM8953TS (2/5): Let the User Beware - Suffice it to say the room was in no condition to be let. The trim on the head boards was ripped off, exposing sharp screw points, no smoke alarm, wash basin had dried toothpaste; fuzzy mold in fridge tray....
- albertjohnes1 (10/5): i enjoyed the stay - i had recently stayed there with my family and i like the hotel. staff is good and its cooperative and friendly.i like the pool . its a good hotel at affordable rates. i had also been to other hotels as hollysprgs... this hotel is good as compared to others.if happen to move there i will definitely stay there again
- hjkinfl (6/5): Not the greatest - We stayed at the Magnolia Inn for one night. The room was comfortable enough but half the lights were not working and the internet connection was hit and miss. No amenities in the room except towels and small soap bar. The towels all had black marks all over them. The continental breakfast was non-existent because they didn't have any milk for the cereal. Nothing else was available.
I would not recommend this hotel for fussy travelers but if you just need a place to lay your head, you can't beat the low price.
- Madalyn25 (10/5): Great place to stay - I came into town for a family reunion and stayed at the Magnolia Inn. The staff was very helpful and polite. The room was clean and very comfortable. Microwave, mini fridge, and flat screen tv. They also have a pool. I will be staying here again next year!
- tammy0808 (2/5): Should be shut down! - I recently stayed at this disgusting place, and I was afraid to touch anything in the room! This is the dirtiest, nastiest, most despicable motel room I have ever seen. I cannot believe the health department hasn't been called in to inspect. They definitely could not pass an inspection!
- 31davidy (2/5): Worst place I have ever stayed at - Had a death in the family and the funeral was over Memorial Day weekend, stayed 2 nights 5/22 - 5/24. The bathroom was disgusting, shower tub was stained, the towels were very dingy and stained, half of the door facing was missing, red paint smeared on the wall. The Comforter and Sheets on bed looked clean but were covered with cigarette holes burnt in them. Carpet had stains and was just Nasty.
My wife and I wondered if the room was under construction since it was so bad.
All other hotels/motels in town we completely booked.
- 809angelan (6/5): Improved Greatly! - I 've stayed here before last year & this year was better than last. Pool was clean and we enjoyed it greatly. They were installing new flat screen tvs the weekend we were there. The staff was more than friendly and helpful.
- 439brendag (4/5): Get what you pay for - It did the job. It had a free WiFi, bed, tv, mini frig, microwave, bathroom with shower, and a love seat. For the price, it was OK. The nonsmoking room did smell like it had been smoked in tho. The lady at the desk was friendly. I would stay there again if needed.
- mzkay478 (2/5): One word, NASTY!!! - I was driving and had to stop and get rest. I really didn't feel like looking all around for a hotel and just needed a room to sleep for a few hours until I could hit the road again. First the door would not securely lock. The lock worked while the door was open but once closed, nope. Luckily it had a top lock but even so the door could still open. Then there was a millipede on the wall. The bathroom had a white stain on the back of the door. The tub was full of soap scum, and it was just nasty. The light switch knob was missing making it hard to get the lights on.Once I turned the lights out, the only light I left on was the bathroom light, I looked up at the ceiling towards the entrance and there were spots all over and cobwebs. The dining chair had a cigarette burn in it.The only clean thing in the room, surprisingly were the sheets, microwave, and fridge. If you have a family traveling, do not stay here. This is not a place for kids. This is a motel, more so, for someone who is just stopping through and doesn't care where they are staying. I thought for $65 I would at least get a cheap looking, yet clean room. I wasn't expecting the Hilton or Holiday Inn but gosh. For the price I thought it would be a little neater. It looks like it is only worth $20 or less. For a quick love affair or for a trucker. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
- tonyawillcuts (2/5): Yucky. I wish I could post photos in this review :-( - Bllod on floor, nasty plunger in bathroom, pink skeet?, exsposed electrical wires, stool dont flush, mildew stains on pillow case.... I do a lot of traveling, I mostly stay in cheap motels, but this one is the most descusting places I have staye. I'm telling you, just keep driving, Dont stay here.. omg
- markmacone5 (2/5): Thi hotel is disgusting!!! - My family and I packed our ting in a hurry! The comforter had BLOOD on it!!!! BLOOOD a big circle of blood, and the face cloths looked like they had been there since the place opened. The manager was absolutely rude to my wife and I when I asked for my money back, he didn't even want to do it. We went to Southaven instead but luckily I took a picture and it was disgusting.
- Thelady59982 (2/5): Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! - After I walked in the room I was immediately turned off, it was a 1,000 degrees, there were no knobs to control the air, the only light that worked was the one on the wall which flickered the whole 30 min. I stayed, and the tv remote didn't work. I immediately asked for my money back. This is the worst place ever!!!!!
- Dredu77 (2/5): This does not deserve 1 star! - This hotel is the worst place I've ever stayed! We were tired and needed a quick highway hotel but we didn't realize what we were getting into.
-lots of loud and inappropriate patrons
-curtains broken
-door frame to bathroom broken
-carpet filthy
-room smelled awful
-no towels or toiletries (went to front desk but only got body towels, no hand towels or wash cloths)
-worst towels ever, worse than my car washing rags
-bedspread stained
-tub didn't drain well
-Bathroom floor was not clean
-door was hard to lock and unlock
-wouldn't reimburse us for the room
-front desk worker couldn't help/answer questions
Do not waste your money here! It was worse than I could imagine
- living4Key (2/5): BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - BED BUGS - In March, 2013 after a funeral I stayed at Magnolia Inn. I should have read all the signs but I was so tired!! In first room they gave me the sheets were stained and the pillowcases looked "greasy" so I requested that the bed be re-made. FIRST SIGN! I was told by the clerk that there was no evening housekeepers!!!!! I would learn that the second room I received was worst!!!! I woke up the next more with more that 10 BED BUG BITES!!!! They were on my legs, arms, torso and buttocks!! That was just the next morning. I learned that bed bug bites may not show immediately. Buy the time I got home some 600 or so miles away I had more that 16 BITES!!! I did call the Health Department for Holly Springs. DON'T CHANCE IT....... PLEASE DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!!
