Guest Reviews
- Justin (2/5): - The nonsmoking room stunk like smoke
- Curtis (2/5): Low grade experience - Eco friendly because there's nothing there. No full size towels, no coffee. One narrow entry point on a one way highway. Bathroom light switch was part of the receptacle and not marked. Loud neighbors at night. WIFI ONLY 1BAR. Kept dropping out. Sink so close to the toilet, kept hitting my head on it getting off the toilet. For the $ a real sh-T show.
- Rhonda (8/5): - Neighborhoods a little scary.....
- Lisa (2/5): - Did not stay there very nasty. Canceled on the spot
- Carlos I (8/5): - The blanket have a lot of burn holes with cigarette
- Charles (4/5): Thanks anyway… - The place is basically a dump, but I think it was clean or mostly clean.
- Joonam (4/5): - The place needs to be renovated. Theres no door stopper so room service came in while i was in bed to give me slippers.
- thomas (2/5): Hotel.com socks - Well being that the red carpet I got to move towels.com with Clara and everything they didn't accept it so I had to drain my bank account to pay the bill they wouldn't accept the card it was right on the computer but it wouldn't take you should do something about this cuz you cost me over $100 you going to pay me back now horrible horrible horrible customer service
- Mayonna (6/5): - This is a last minute choice hotel. It’s ok but that’s it. No refrigerator, no microwave, no top lock on the door. Shower is a cubbyhole literally. Bathroom supper small no room. The shower you literally step inside a square and it’s dark. I don’t think I will stay here again!
- Mike (6/5): - Average. Rooms are Expensive.
- Charlie (8/5): - We were only there for one night. This is a nice motel. The area is clean, it’s a nice sized little room for a night stay. It’s a little dark in the room with the curtains closed, as there’s only two wall lights with softer bulbs. The beds are a little squishy, and the blankets have a few holes here and there. But for a place to stay, it does exactly what it’s supposed to. And the staff are friendly too!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room had a very stale smell to it, couldnt connect to wifi, blankets had burn holes from cigarettes even tho was a nonsmoking room. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful, bed was comfy, good location
- Denise (10/5): - Great place
- Denise (10/5): - It was amazing and great
- Dorothy (10/5): Excellent stay - Excellent
- Verified traveler (4/5): Horrible I would prefer paying more to stay elsewh - No refrigerator no microwave, room had flies, bedsheets dirty had stains with cigarettes holes, bathroom horrible, especially shower area, light very dim in bathroom, they only have 1 very dim light at the sink so you basically shower in the dark, and shower area extremely tiny , I can barely move and I am only 100 pounds , it’s kind of creepy in the shower, I just wanted to get out as quickly as possible, lights are extremely dim in the room as well, I couldn’t do my makeup or hair, couldn’t see anything just want to get out as quickly as possible.
- Tracy (2/5): Not a good experience - I have a tendency to give higher than usual ratings for hotels/motels and restaurants. I recognize that hotels have been struggling since COVID. With that in mind, here are the positives and negatives. Positive: The young man who checked me in was very nice and helpful. The outside of the motel is clean. I like the courtyard feel of the motel. It's on a busy street, but inside the room is quiet. The sheets were clean and crisp. Good water pressure. Negative: I asked for a King non-smoking room. My room had an ashtray and smelled strongly of smoke. I kept the door open for several hours to air it out. The chairs are heavily stained and filthy. The bed would pop up off it's front legs when you sat at the head of the bed to plug in your phone. The mattress had some serious sagging. The bathroom was my main concern. I had to turn sideways to get between the edge of the shower stall and sink edge. There is ZERO room to maneuver in the bathroom. Water smelled like fish. I will not be returning to this motel.
- Haris (8/5): Ok for price. - The hotel is good for the price. The room was clean and the service was okay. Of course, you won't expect luxuries at this price. Parking is right in front of room which is very convenient.
- Bryan (10/5): - Nice place to sleep that’s out of the way of heavy traffic.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really nothing i just like the room nd the staff was nice
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The service was reasonable
Family owned business and the owner was veruit responsieve
If you are mot looking for luxury but a placenta sleep
It is a good choice

- Victor (8/5): - good [;ace convient
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Cool environment definitely would go back . Nobody bothers you . Got a deal on the weekend . Can give the wifi password 😂😂😂
- Verified traveler (8/5): - In better condition and cleaner than expected for the low price. Stayed there for a show at the BB&T Pavilion- it was resaonably close to the venue and has a 24-hour diner right across the street- very convenient!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Pr0pery was very dated. No amenties nl coffee pot or shampoo very basic
- Nkulu (8/5): - I don't have any Comment but I was comfortable and secured, I liked the place.i hope next time I will come back
- Adam (6/5): - Overall it was an average experience. Hotel seemed clean enough and everything was adequate for the price. The surrounding area didn't have much in the way of amenities, but it was close enough to downtown Philadelphia so it didn't matter.
- calvin (2/5): - The owner was very disrespectful and rude. The tv in the room didn't work and the sheets smelled like it was used also.
- PelleasPhiladelphia (2/5): One look and I was out - Needed a simple cheap place for my family for one night so drove in here. As I asked to see a room through bullet proof glass, I had a feeling this was a mistake. After being grumpily taken to look at a room I quicky saw this was not happening. As drab and icky as I’ve ever seen. Supposedly the only non smoking room - it reeked - and looked horrible. Not a place for a family.
- Navigator398701 (2/5): should be condemmed !!!!!! - Drug dealing going on in parking lot! room smelled like ashtray . sheets had holes in them. should be knocked down!!!!! This place is a FILTHY.!!!! The place should be knocked down !!!!!! Roached would not even stay here! I can not believe booking.com or any other hotel recordation company should take this place off there website!!!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Non smoking room had definitely been smoked in plenty of times . stunk
- Walter (6/5): Ok Place to Stay. - Room was acceptable. The bed was nice. The bathroom was quite small and a little tight to manuever in. The shower had a crack in the floor tile, which made it appear to be dirty. Cable was adequate, but they don't have ESPN.
- Shawn (4/5): - I would rather not talk about it
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Couldn't check in early and didn't have a smoke free room like I requested.
- Curtis (10/5): My stay at Red Carpet Inn - My stay at THE RED CARPET INN was good, it getting late in the afternoon I and my girl were getting tired and hungry when we saw this place i went in to check it out the manager was nice and helpful. Room was nice , shower was ok.
- Jarred K. (2/5): Got what we paid for... - Our hotel room was unclean. There were mysterious red stains on the sheets, the toilet did not flush and we were afraid to shower because of the floor. When we came back from Philadelphia (decent location right over the Walt Whitman) our key failed to work to get back into the room because somehow it got demagnetized...yet another inconvenience. Cheap price so we weren't expecting much, but working plumbing would have been nice. Never. Again.
- Jennifer (8/5): - My stay was really good and plesent.
- Michael (4/5): Basic accommodation - This motel is located in a shady area of town. It is about 3.5 miles from the Lincoln financial stadium which is the sole reason why I stayed there. This place is acceptable for a single guy trip or someone with minimum expectations. Bathroom is tiny and if you are a large person you could not fit into the shower
- D.B. (4/5): Not your ideal hotel. Total disappointment. - Exterior was run down and over run with dead branches/shrubs. Office had a rancid smell.
Rooms were definitely no frills. Bathroom was extremely small. I'm 5'6", 168 lbs. and it was hard to maneuver around in the bathroom and shower. My husband is 6'3" and was not able to shower comfortably because he couldn't fit.
Bathroom tiles were mildewed and soap scum from the previous renter was still in the soap dish holder of the shower.
Although the rate was only $67 (tax included), it was definitely NOT WORTH IT.
This is NOT the quality hotel Expedia should be advertising.
Only good thing was staff was friendly and bed was comfortable.
- Soile (4/5): - Way too overpriced room. There should definitely at least be a fridge in every room. Mr Patel at reception was very nice and helpful. You really need a car to stay here, but you can take a bus into Philadelphia too.
- World traveler (2/5): Overpriced - I just needed a place for a night. Take a shower and go next day. it was too expensive for the quality of the hotel. Bathroom was not clean at all and it is too small.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible location - This hotel needs a serious update. The staff was ok but everything else was terrible.
- Lori (2/5): No - Scary
- latashiad2014 (2/5): Would never stay here - Me and my husband booked this hotel as a last resort on the way home from Florida. Not even an hour later we received a family emergency and had to drive straight home. Within the same hour we called to cancel the staff were extremely rude and told us they were going to charge us anyway for the night and we need to give them a 24 hour notice of cancellation. I told them we literally just called to book the room. They didn't care so we continued to drive home and I cancelled my card so I would not be charged. I would never attempt to stay here again, I wouldn't be writing this review if I was treated alittle bit nicer they were rude from start to finish. Definitely not recommended.
- Milno70 (2/5): Bedbug infested - I have the bite marks on my arms and legs to prove it.....despite an awesome manager, the owner is incompetent, rude, and greedy....treats his staff terribly and it shows in the product....go elsewhere, TRUST ME!!
- 957alexandriaw (8/5): Clean and Comfortable - Me and my boyfriend stayed here last night, and despite all the bad reviews, we had nothing to complain about. Red Carpet Inn is nothing fancy, but our room was clean and comfortable, with a nice king-sized bed. This hotel is cheap, but it serves its purpose.
- KJAAGO (2/5): Not worth the money your saving - Please read the reviews they dont lie, it stinks and it makes your clothes stink like old Cigarettes stentch.
I booked for two nights, had to leave the first night. It wouldn't be so bad if the room didnt have such a bad stench to the point you cant breath in it!!!!
- joes716 (2/5): What a dump, are they not inspected? (...inspector paid off) - You are first greeted by the stench as you open your door. The bed looks like a soup bowl, as it is sunken in the middle. All kinds of stranges characters looming about in the parking lot.feel dirty and can not wait to get home and take a disinfecting shower to kill any kooties that may have made it home on me. If you like crack, hookers, and filth... you will surely be in heaven at this place.
- 1sjferret (4/5): save your money - We stayed at this motel because it advertized having a hot tub. The room we stayed in had in fact a hot tub plus a floor that tilted about 5 degrees. You were unable to stand in the room as the force of gravity pushed you into the wall. There was no fridge, coffee, hair dryer or enough towels. Not only that but the cost is higher then other places that sport hot tubs plus the manager is rude. Least I forget the room above us had a child fitted with steel bottomed shoes that danced arround for some time starting at 6 in the morning.
- prettygarden (2/5): worst motel - truly a crackhead/hooker motel dirty and horrible rooms..not to mention the guy at the front desk was a raciest and really should learn some common sense manners. especially towards a guest.. would never wish this place on my worst enemy. skanky is to good of a word for this creakhead/hooker motel
- Fliptheace (6/5): Cheap and clean and only Minutes Bridges - When I checked in we had a problem with the AC. I called the front desk he came over to check it, then found out it wasn't working. He changed our room right next door and upgraded from a queen to a king bed. Rooms are clean, but the bathroom was little small. When I was checking out the him and the maintenance guy was replacing the AC unit with a new one the following day.
- jennie42 (2/5): what a crappy place...rude manager - First of all,the manager, was the rudest person Ive ever met...I walked in the lobby and could smell pot. The manager came from a back room 5 minutes after I rang the bell.He was all pissed off. I couldnt drive any longer or there's no way I would have stayed there. The price was good but the room was crappy!! smelly, and the people I saw there, looked like the were crackheads. When I asked around,I found out why they looked that way...it's a crackhead motel.Put out the extra money and stay at the DAYS INN down the road
- Mhayes7 (4/5): Extremely trashy - There is no continental breakfast which was advertised. It is the sketchiest, dirtiest hotel I have stayed in in my entire life. Not worth it. There is no jacuzzi, microwave or fridge. The bathroom has a dirty, sketchy shower. Do not stay here. The service is awful and they don't clean the rooms.
- DVINEMST (2/5): Jean is very nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I called to make a reservation and the woman that answered, which was Jean, told me in a very nasty voice to "DO IT ON THE INTERNET!" She said she couldn't guarantee me anything. Then when I asked who the manager was, she said she was, until I kept asking, then to find out it wasn't her after all. WHAT A SHOCKER!! She told me it was someone by the name of Mr. Patel, if thats even true,if it is, then he should fire her. We come to Philly several times a year for the football games and I thought I had found a decent place to stay for a fair price. After speaking to nasty Jean, if thats even her name, I would never set foot in that place and I will make sure and tell everyone I know. Although from the reviews I don't think they get much business anyway. So I didn't even have to go there to be turned off by this place.
- sexylildevil579 (2/5): not so good - not a good choose. room was dirty, sink falling off walk. no ice and not recommand for handycap
- ApALex (6/5): not the best choice, but free internet - price was o.k, free internet, room was clean, but dont expect too much....
- Youngbraugh (4/5): Not a good choice - This is a very convenient location to many major roads, but it serves a lot of displaced long term customers. Good for a business stay during the week, but located up against a very popular nightclub. Defintely not a family vacation motel.
