- Severio (3/5): Terrible and Uncomfortable - The location was good and easy access. Didn't eat breakfast The room was dusty, literary you could see the dust on the bedside table and TV. I had to ask for a different room but none was available. To make matters worse, they did not have housekeeping on site to atleast clean the room. They just gave me bedsheets to change the dusty beddings myself, never had to do this before anywhere I have stayed...how terrible an experience.

- Karen (3/5): - Nothing I stayed there so my kids could use the pool, only to find out being there the first day, that the had issues with the pool and never got it fixed in the two days we were there, so had to spend additional funds to keep my kids entertained, since they didn't get to swim,plus the staff when I complained basically could careless of how this was inconvenient! I am asking for some type of refund for the inconvenience for me and my kids, I will never stay there again or recommend them

Hopefully, you remember which hand you used, lol.. the fridge had mold or stain( didn't bother to find out)

- bruces902 (10/5): Our enjoyable stay at Baymont. - My wife and I stayed at the Baymont in GF, Nov. 24 thru Nov. 26 for medical appointments. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great every morning. Markie and Jack at the front desk were very helpful and courteous, they always had great smiles. They made the follow up reservations for our next visit. We will be staying there again soon.

Our recent stay at the Baymont To Guest Services Manager - GRBA 10/16/2025, 11:03 AM Hi Kari, We are writing to express our extreme disappointment with regards to our recent stay on Sunday September 28, 2025. As you are aware, we have stayed at the property several times and have encouraged our friends to stay at the property as well. The customer service has always been exceptional, we like the location & we enjoy the complimentary breakfast which is always very good & plentiful. The rooms are clean & the beds are comfortable. In July, we had 2 rooms booked however there was an issue with the hot tub not in working condition. This was disappointing but things happen. In discussing the issue with you, you offered to discount a future stay by 35% for the inconvenience. This was a much appreciated compensation for the inconvenience (your email attached). We decided to book another 1 night trip before the snow fell on September 28th. We asked if the hot tub was working prior to check in and were assured it was, however we found out after dinner it in fact was once again cold & in disrepair (green & slimy). The staff member working the front desk was not the least bit interested & told us it was working the day before. She then called up to the room about 20 minutes later to say that the emergency button had been pushed in shutting it off & she had restarted it & it was warm. It was lukewarm at best. At 10:30pm, a very strong odour of cigarette smoke/marijuana permeated our room. It was very pungent however we couldn't really tell where it was coming from. I headed down to the front desk to advise the staff member of the issue. Again, disinterested she offered a weak apology & went back to whatever she was doing. The smell became so overpowering that I went down a 2nd time & advised her we needed to change rooms as our daughter's friend who had joined us has severe asthma. The smell was very strong & it was uncomfortable for all of us. Although the property did not seem to be anywhere near capacity she offered us a room only 3 doors down but told us it was near the elevator so it would likely be noisy. To add the icing on the cake, housekeeping was knocking on our door at 9am asking if we were checking out waking the girls up as they had trouble getting to sleep the night before after moving rooms. This was completely unnecessary - they have a list of which rooms are checking out & check out isn't until 11. At checkout we quickly spoke but I didn't really get the impression that we had been provided any service. The original 35% was still taken off the room and it appears a small $12 additional fee was discounted for the 2 issues we encountered on this stay. The overall experience was disappointing to say the least and not what we expect from Wyndham at any property. We are also Caesars Diamond Plus members which is supposed to provide us with an upgraded status at Wyndham resorts however we have never received this benefit at the Baymont. Having to move at 10:30pm is completely unacceptable and while I realize that it is not through any fault of the property, I would expect that between the move & the hot tub not working we would be offered a little bit more than $12. It was almost insulting. While we appreciate your hospitality we unfortunately will be booking at other Wyndham properties in the future as this is not the level of service I would expect from this well established property chain. I have worked in the hotel industry in Winnipeg for many years and I personally would have never charged someone for a room if the guest had to move at 10:30pm as a result of the inconsiderate actions of another guest. Going forward, we are unable to recommend this establishment to our friends & colleagues any longer based on our past 2 experiences. We wish you luck with the renovations & hope perhaps that it may solve your hot tub issues

She gave prompt, excellent service, explaining everything and answering questions clearly. Friendly and professional. Room: clean and in order. All toilet paper, shampoos and tissues were full. The room is actually quite dark. The lamps are low powered LCD's. It would be good to have ceiling lighting.Good firm beds, but poor pillows. There was a wobbly, squeaky desk chair and a small, surprisingly comfortable arm chair. Check out: Markie handled checkout. It was a smooth, seamless process with no issues. Markie was friendly and professional as well. All employees we encountered were good representatives of the hotel and company. Breakfast: best breakfast around. A lot of items and variety. All good quality. The staff present (did not get a name) was very friendly and helpful to everyone. Excellent coffee. Disappointment: the pool and hot tub were being renovated. We were informed of this in advance but it was still too bad. All other hotels were over our budget. Baymont fit perfectly in our budget. The hotel is beginning to show its age in the rooms. Scuffed furniture, carpet that is looking well used. Older fixtures.

Our room had a strong chemical smell that made it hard to breathe comfortably. On top of that, the customer service was indifferent and unhelpful. - Heidi (4/5): Why is everyone giving this hotel good reviews? - Our first room had stains all over the floors. Brown creepy splatters on the wall by the bed (I was too afraid to consider it chocolate). Furniture chipped, scratched and dingy. Asked for another room, the clerk was graceful. Next room was somewhat cleaner, with a big burn mark on the luggage bench, chipped, dingy furniture. Mattress exposed was stained, sheets clean, but stained. Pool area was filthy. The only decent part was breakfast. Please rate hotels appropriately! I use those ratings when choosing my hotel and was disappointed to say the least!
