• Pauline (9/5): Stunning view, fantastic location, cottage done well, bathroom outside cottage on enclosed deck area - The view is stunning, i can't recall a better view, lovely people who host, location is excellent, there is an outdoor bathroom area so it has a feel of high end glamping so probably not ideal in winter but we were there in late April and it was great. close to walks and you can walk into town via a bush track and beach below is peaceful and lovely. Hugely like it.

Great walk to lighthouse. Easy walk to marina through the bush. Owner is super friendly. Utensils. Would've liked a fish slice and a few more knives, forks and spoons.

• Vanessa (10/5): Tranquil and perfectly located - The cabin is a tranquil private retreat set perfectly looking out over bush with view shafts to the ocean. I loved the pool and relaxing on the beanbags looking out to sea. Location is great! A short 15-20 min walk to/from the marina, or a couple of minutes by car. The lighthouse is about an hour round trip. Lots of steps but totally worth it… and the pool is great to cool off in afterwards. -

It was only a short walk to both a private beach and the local shops and restaurants and very peaceful for a relaxing and restorative holiday. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Having to leave.

The accommodations were perfect, the view was INSANE and we loved the hot tub and pool overlooking the bay and out to the Poor Knights Islands. We would love to stay here again if we’re ever near Tutukaka. Also, the host Suzie was so lovely and helpful. Highly recommend!

• Allison (10/5): Amazing stay. Will go again. - The views are stunning. The pods are set up with a separate living room/kitchen and bedroom. Lots of privacy and space. The coffee machine was amazing and the owner left us tea, nespresso pods and milk. Easy to walk into Tutukaka and access to lighthouse trail. Could use a few more dishes.

There was a massive deck that overlooked the ocean with a view of poor knights island. Everything was great! I wish I could have stayed longer.

Although we didnt use the pool ,it looked absolutely stunning, I really enjoyed the outside bath ,and the incredible view and weather we had were enough, also the beautiful beach and walks were just perfect for a relaxing weekend away. We cant wait to return.

Wonderful host. Big kitchen but no microwave or oven or bbq. Also, no basic kitchen utensils such as potato peeler, masher or wooden spoons etc. Only one enormous frying pan and one tiny pot.

• Maren (10/5): Beautiful! A little paradise on earth. - Wonderful view from the terrace - breathtaking! The water container of the coffee machine needed to be cleaned, so we decided to make coffee in a different way. However, I informed the host about it and it has since been cleant.

• Jill (10/5): An idyllic stay with a stunning view - Everything! It was easy to get to from Auckland with good instructions & Susie was there to greet us & show us around. The view is stunning. We loved the space we had & the complete privacy & quiet. The bed was comfortable with beautiful bed linen & soft towels with beach towels too. We’ve been travelling for a month so the chance to relax & prepare a simple meal was welcome although we could walk down to Tutukaka for meals & a flat white to watch the world go by. Susie made delicious margaritas by the refreshing pool - thank you - our stay was idyllic. Nothing.

• Michelle (10/5): Fantastic way to end my longer trip with chance to relax in an amazing place - What an amazing location to stay. I could, and did, just sit on my balcony outside my ‘shed’ room for hours staring at the view. Perfect place to relax. Nothing comes to mind
• Roya (8/5): A lovely stay in nature - The location is absolutely incredible with stunning views all around. You feel completely alone (in the best way) and immersed in the nature of the area. The general/shared facilities were great including beach access and a lovely pool area we really enjoyed. We loved having a bbq as well to enjoy during our stay and the bed was comfortable. The hosts were lovely and so helpful during our time. The Cabin itself had a lot of cobwebs and dust everywhere and just felt it could have been a bit cleaner; however appreciate its indoor/outdoor nature so may be hard to keep on top of. Also no wifi in the Cabin and a bit of a smell from the bathroom tank in the mornings. Also advertised as a bed and breakfast but no breakfast included so would just suggest taking that wording out of the listing for future travellers.
