Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): This hotel is now foreclosed by the bank - Mothballed, no elevator or staff. Kitchen and bar shuttered. I did not register and found somewhere else. To his credit the manager gave me a full cash refund. Pity, as I have stayed there several times and if it reopens I would reconsider
- Arely (10/5): - Good
- Jenna (4/5): - The hotel is not as advertised on Expedia. We got there and learnt that breakfast was not included, even though it says that it is on Expedia. We also saw that they have closed their kitchen and turned the bar into an art sale space so there isn’t a cozy place to hang out or eat at the hotel. We got a junior suite so that we could take a bath after a long trek around the Annapurna circuit but the tub stopper didn’t work so it wouldn’t hold water. The elevator was also out of commission. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and the room was clean. Overall, this is more of a glorified tea house rather than a hotel and definitely not worth over $100USD per night
- dharanes2024 (10/5): good place - in this hotel inside of decoration so nice i felt like i was in haven everything built by stone it's look like so i will back again the place are very near by lake and easly i can visit arroung the fewa lake best place and best food and best service thankyou
- sarah (10/5): - Sweet space directly across the road from the lake. clean rooms. lovely service. we stayed during low season and imagine that during high season it is even better.
- Mohammad (10/5): - Everything was perfect But i requested a birthday cake for my wife and management said they would arrange it but till the day we left. No one responded nor tried to arrange it and front desk didnt even know about it. Communication was horrible.
- Steven (8/5): Good hotel with lake views but ok service - The hotel’s location was its biggest selling point. It immediately overlooked the lake and had nice views.
The kitchen staff were not great and got our food orders wrong twice.
- Tracy (2/5): - Our payment was supposed to be refunded and still hasn’t been processed even after more than a month. The elevator did not work and our rooms were on the fifth floor. There are no rooms below the third floor. It turns out that they had a generator that could operate the elevator, and just didn’t want to turn it on. my room was fine and the decoration was cute, but my friend’s room had mosquitoes, and the screen was torn in the windows. There is no spa on the property. We were told that the power was out for the whole neighborhood, but the restaurant next-door had power, so that’s hard to believe. The front desk staff were very kind and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine with hot water. They provided drinkable water. It really was the elevator issue that made this impossible. I am unable to do that many staircases on a good day, and certainly not for vacation, so we had to move hotels.
- captainbruceLondon (8/5): excellent - expensive for Pokhara but you get a rooftop terrace with a panoramic view, air-con that works, cosy when its winter, a good breakfast and quality staff. Choose the upper floors for that view.
Repeat visitor for the last 5 years, says it all really...........
- Mark (6/5): - Staff were lovely and so helpful. That said, Spa was closed for repairs. Bath tub leaked from underneath and pooled in bathroom floor. Elevator didn't work half the time. Breakfast was a very limited ala carte menu. Bar didnt have proper change.
- alum01 (10/5): The Hotel Glacier: A Great Value and Superb Location - The Hotel Glacier is a wonderful value. My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights and each day we started with a delicious made-to-order breakfast. The omelettes, seasoned potatoes, and lattes were stand-outs and the service was friendly and attentive. Our last evening we also savored a scrumptious wood-fired pizza from the Hotel Glacier Harbor Restaurant and sat out in the delightful patio near a large fire pit. One of the best aspects of the Hotel Glacier is the central location in the Lakeside neighborhood of Pokhara near many boutique shops and restaurants and adjacent to picturesque Phewa Lake. The fantastic location is combined with friendly and knowledgeable reception staff who were very helpful when I needed to use their phone on multiple occasions to adjust flights due to a family emergency. The concierge also allowed me to check out late, with no additional charge, which worked perfectly with catching a late afternoon flight. Another standout quality of the Hotel Glacier is the amazing terrace on every floor. We stayed on the sixth level and we took in the sunset each evening. The sunrises were even better as the Annapurna and Fishtail mountain peaks are clearly visible and basking in the morning glow.
- noahf483 (10/5): Great stay at the Glacier hotel - The Glacier Hotel is the most modern and up to date hotel in Pokhara. The rooms are of amazing quality with plenty of space and roomservice of highest standard. Their balcony has what I believe to be the best view of Pokhara and the Phewa lake. Definitely the best place to stay when visiting Pokhara!
- 633ursulal (10/5): Very European and clean - The Glacier hotel is a very detail oriented establishment. The owner is very present and attentive to your every need. The rooms are very clean and modern. The resturantt serves great food and the best coffee in town. The kitchen lives up to European standards in regards to cleanliness. Overall this hotel is, in my humble opinion, the best in Pokhara.
- 744annalisaf (10/5): Perfect place to rest after trekking - The Glacier is a lovely hotel situated on the lakeside. The staff and owner are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble.
Rooms are spacious and had great Mountain View’s.
The bar, restaurant and outside courtyard are perfect areas to escape the huddle and bustle of the main strip. Great food and a selection of local beers made this a perfect place to rest and recovery after our trekking on the Mardi Himal.
Pokhara is a wonderful city which we will definitely return to.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was convenient to all activities. The buffet breakfast that was included was delicious. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds. We had a wonderful time here!
The owner upgraded us to a honeymoon suite and took us to the airport . Would definitely recommend this hotel to others!!
- Leah (8/5): - Nice place to stay, although the spa wasn’t operating.
- Manuela (10/5): - Ho soggiornato nella camera all'attico, con ampia terrazza esterna, vista bellissima del lago e montagne alle spalle. Camere ben arredate.
- Marianna (10/5): - Very nice place and great staff
- JulianTravel111 (10/5): Lovely spot - Greatly located with very original concept and decoration. Complimentary airport pick with a driver who was of good fun.
Very helpful staff, both at restaurant and front desk. We appreciated the help in organizing tour.
Finally the room was beautiful, comfortable and with a view on snowcaped mountains. Thank you Rajendra and team
- Gaynor (10/5): - This boutique hotel is super comfy, has large quiet rooms and even a bath tub! Love the furnishings and the location.
- lauren (10/5): - Kudos to all the staff here, especially Mr Sunil the manager, Sushmita & Pushpa at reception, Sharmila and also Shyam who served us at breakfast (awesome brekkie here) with warmth and smiles during our week stay. They are professional and always proactive, we even got an upgrade into the Honeymoon suite and deluxe room and we felt completely safe and immensely enjoyed this quaint, beautiful hotel with the lovely rooftop views of the lake and mountains within a strategic location. Only the hot water was a bit fiddly but no other complaints. Previously we stayed at Temple Tree but the experience this time at Glacier was far superior. Keep it up!
- LKTaySG (10/5): Best Location in Pokhara - Kudos to all the staff here, especially Mr Sunil the manager, Sushmita & Pushpa at reception, Sharmila and also Shyam who served us at breakfast (awesome brekkie here) with warmth and smiles during our week stay. They are professional and always proactive, we even got an upgrade into the Honeymoon suite and deluxe room and we felt completely safe and immensely enjoyed this quaint, beautiful hotel with the lovely rooftop views of the lake and mountains. Only the hot water was a bit fiddly but no other complaints, the bathrooms were comfortable and rooms spacious and clean. It's close enough to the action but comfortably tranquil from the hustle and bustle. Previously, we stayed at Temple Tree but the experience this time at Glacier was far superior. Keep it up!
- jana (10/5): - Nice down to earth comfortable hotel in an convenient location.
- gitanafeet (10/5): Just Wonderful - I can't recommend this place enough. The location was perfect (lakefront but with mountain views from the upper floors), easy walking to shops and restaurants. The hotel itself was clean, well-decorated, and the A/C, wifi, and water pressure were all excellent. And all this is not to mention the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, managers, and owner, who not only made my stay comfortable but also helped to quickly and easily arrange a trek when my original booking fell through. Glacier was wonderful, and I will definitely look to stay here again on my return to Pokhara.
- Rachel (10/5): Oasis in Pokhara - Glacier was wonderful! From the location (perfect! Lakeside with a mountain view, walkable to restaurants and shop) to cleanliness to the kindness of the staff, management, and owner, I could not have asked for a better stay. My original trekking booking fell through, and Rajendra helped me quickly and easily arrange a new booking.
A/C, wifi, and water pressure were all great too!
- kenphotos (10/5): Outstanding hotel with great rooms, superb service, excellent food, and great location - I have stayed at this hotel 3 times in April 2019 and May 2022, and I would definitely choose it again the next time that I visit Pokhara. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. The air conditioning works great and is very quiet. A big plus is that the bathroom actually contains a full tub with shower, rather than the usual showers in the bathroom at that always flood the entire bathroom floor in most other Nepal hotels. The service staff are always available and very friendly helpful. Wifi works great in the rooms. The food is excellent at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is superbly located across the street from Phewa Lake and very near a broad variety of shopping and dining opportunities.
- KaushiSilva (10/5): Excellent location; excellent service - We stayed two nights at the Glacier and couldn’t fault the service or the hospitality here. Sunil, the manager, pulled out all the stops: he found us the best room for our needs and helped us arrange our long awaited trip to Muktinath. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff, including the owner, were a delight to deal with and customer service was excellent. The location was perfect for us - lakeside but in a quieter part of town so we got a good night’s sleep too!
- captainbruceLondon (10/5): Still excellent - No reason to change the review I made in 2018 - in a good way. Stayed a week here in Jan this year. Scrupulously clean, well equipped with helpful competent staff. Good food. Good value for money, quiet location but near enough to the centre and places to eat to be convenient
- BRUCE (10/5): - Stayed here a few times, still excellent, the 6th floor terrace has a balcony with a good view. clean friendly competant staff and good amenities. I will come back
- Antonio (10/5): - Fantastisk hotel
Trevligt personal
God frukost
Rena rum och varmt och skönt
Bra mjuka sängar
- 498miss (10/5): Best hotel and restaurant ( Harbour) in whole Pokhara - Glacier is one the best hotel with spa in Pokhara. I stayed almost a month there and every morning i woke with a beautiful view of fishtail mountain and fewa lake. I spent my 1 month holiday in a paradise and felt like my home. Hotel and restaurant service was excellent, exceptionally clean and amazing food from Harbour. Staffs were very friendly and hotel manager Sunil even helped me with some paper work that i needed for some official reason. Highly recommend this place and next time as well i will be staying in this hotel in pokhara for sure and still missing Harbour’s menu, esp breakfast.
Anyone looking forward for a clean, safe and good hotel to stay in pokhara with amazing food, then this is the one guys.

- vycooke (10/5): Blissful - A beautiful hotel to stay in: decor is stylish yet cosy; serene view out to the lake; friendly staff; great breakfasts; rooms have everything you would need, including a decent sized bath and oh so luxurious beds...and sunlight. And there was no sound of construction going on anywhere!
- Juliuus (10/5): Amazing solidarity - I didn’t stay there but during the current lock down time in Nepal they offer free meals for foreign people. You can can have either a vegetarian curry or a panini. It’s simple and delicious food and more than kind and hospitable from the hotel to offer free lunch. I‘m very thankful for that opportunity. The staff who gives out the meals is also very open and kind. Thanks a lot and have a good time, hopefully the situation will get better soon. All the best 🙏🏼
- LornaH736 (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - We stayed at the glacier for three nights in mid March. Wonderful hotel. Staff were so friendly, room lovely, tasty food and the bar is great for a relaxing drink at end of the day. We did both the morning sunrise and evening sunset trips. Both were amazing and well recommended. Owner is really friendly and takes a really hands on approach to to running the hotel. Would definitely stay again.
- safalg2020 (8/5): Nice - Nice food nice rooms but it is in the insider of lake
But i love all of the members of hotel they are familiar
I love the beds and its very nice its decorative and rooms are so clean and healthy
Rooftoo view is nice
- mrmo2 (6/5): Restaurant - Unfortunately no big fire so room was quite cold. Nice design and ambience though . Extensive menu with lots of international choice and food was adequate. Deserts were amazing and good coffee. Very keen waiting staff. Probably one of the better choice restaurants and good central location
- libbyglee (10/5): Fantastic! - The location is on the quieter end of the main road but across from the lake.
The hotel is lovely and the staff were wonderful! Can't say enough nice things about the people who work there.
The rooms are big, great decor, beds are comfortable, bathroom is okay.
The restaurant is great. They say they they specialize in Mediterranean food but their Nepali food is amazing! Omelettes are excellent.
They try hard to give guests the best experience.
Take advantage of booking excursions with them. They arrange for everything.
We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay!
- Tiquinho (10/5): Very good! - We had a very enjoyable stay at the Glacier during NYE.
We had the Honeymoon Suite, which is the only room on the top floor, and it was really nice!
There is a convertible AC in the room, which was really important as the temperatures in winter are freezing.
We booked the room on the hotel website, and all reservations made on their website have 2 tours included in the package, and we were really glad to take advantage of both tours.
The tours are arranged by the hotel's management, and both of them were really enjoyable as they take you to some places you would never have thought of going... And these places are truly beautiful, especially the ones outside Pokhara.
The management also kindly organized a last minute Helicopter trip to the ABC, which was the highlight of our trip. Please arrange the ABC tour with the Glacier's team as they work with the best Heli-Company in Pokhara, ensuring your safety. A very smart choice.
Cleanliness in the hotel is OK, they should refurbish some parts (bathroom tiles were missing, for example) but nothing really serious to note.
Breakfast could be better as there was a very limited choice of pastries.
Staff very pleasant, especially the lady at breakfast who would do anything in order to ensure your satisfaction.
Thank you for great stay, and we do hope to come back next year!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Schöne Atmosphäre - Nettes Hotel, genau das Richtige nach einer langen Wanderung. Frühstück war super, Zimmer war auch toll. Schöne Atmosphäre.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a pleasure staying there. Would highly recommend to travellers.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location, beautiful rooms, friendly and helpful staff
- Todd (10/5): Great hotel - Great place , great location, very friendly staff , clean, great views, can,t go wrong
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ottima posizione di fronte al lago, camere luminose, confortevoli e pulite
- Julie (10/5): Amazing views! - I think this is the best spot in Pokhara! A few blocks away from the most touristy area, amazing views, the rooftop is fantastic, the service is great.
Wifi mainly only worked downstairs - we had a 5th floor room. But, hey... we could all do with a little less phone time.
- Sven (10/5): - I was greeted very pleasantly by owner and staff.
The hotel is well located in front of the lake with great access to everything Pokhara has to offer. Great restaurant on the ground floor. Would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers and trekkers
- Jayne (10/5): - We booked one of the hotel's trips to see the sunrise and fishtail mountain. The owner of the hotel actually took us and we saw the Annapurna mountain range at sunrise where normal tourists do not go. It was a fabulous trip and the manager could not do enough for us.
- Priscilla (10/5): Awesome - Glacier Hotel was the ideal place for our two week stay in Pokhara. It is clean, comfortable and is staffed by the kindest people I have ever met. Our whirlpool bath was awesome and the morning breakfasts on the terrace overlooking Lake Phewa were so so amazing. I cannot say enough nice about these facilities and people
- Priscilla (10/5): Super - Amazingly lovely place to stay Lakeside in Pokhara. We were welcomed warmly and treated royally by the kindest, friendliest people ever. Our room is so comfortable with great views of Annapurna Mtns.
- Melody (10/5): Super hotel in great location - This lakeside hotel offers great balcony views and a very comgortabke stay in a spacious room and good breakfast is offeted on the morning . Great for vegetarians. Highly recomnended!
- Melody (10/5): ideal location pretty hotel - Pretty hotel with excellent service and food choice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We loved the Glacier Hotel! We stayed at four different hotels in Pokhara and this was by far our favorite. Great location, friendly staff, excellent restaurant and bar and the rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Will definitely be staying there on our next visit.
- Stephanie (10/5): Unique, comfortable stay before and after trek - We stayed at Glacier before and after our trek. We had a great experience with the room, the restaurant/bar, the location, and last but not least, the staff. The hotel and the rooms have a unique design. Everything seems new and clean. We got a free upgrade, which meant our room came with a jet bathtub. The restaurant/bar were great for the included breakfast, a happy hour drink and snack, and dinner (yes, we spent a lot of time there). The location was in the middle of the main drag by the lake, near to many shops and restaurants. Finally, the staff at the front desk, in the restaurant/bar, and in housekeeping were all superb. Overall, a great value.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable and contemporary. It gets 90% of the way to western boutique hotel standards, which for Nepal is outstanding. Great decor, friendly staff, modern facilities. We rejuvenated here. The bellhops and waitstaff can be a little overattentive, and the bathrooms need a proper shower curtain and a vent rather than just a huge window. Shower was western and piping hot. Restaurant & free breakfast are good but nothing amazing. Lakeside rooms have a great view but are noisier until traffic dies down around 10pm.
- Simon (10/5): Lovely hotel - Really nice hotel in Pokhara, staff great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 価格なりに快適 - 宿泊した部屋はメインストリート側だったのであまり静かではありませんが眠れないという程ではありません。
値段相応にインテリアや設備が整っていて、清潔で上品でした。
スタッフは皆礼儀正しく親切でした。
- Christine (10/5): Beautiful Hotel with totally helpful, happy staff - We booked this hotel over Christmas 2017 as we wanted comfort away from home!! The owner and their staff did EVERYTHING they could to help us celebrate our holiday! Although the price was considerably higher than other hotels in the area, it is beautifully built with natural stone and timber, laid out well, the rooms have balconies (We could see the Snow Capped mountains a few times), had a huge jacuzzi tub which was a real treat after days of hiking or touring around the many sites... Great Quiet location but step out the front door (where there is an awesome Cafe with great coffee - they would even bring to our room) and there are restaurants and shops and across from the Lake! Great view and very nice breakfast - made to order (and Buffet) and the Staff were amazing and ALWAYS there for our every need. For our holiday we made the best choice.... this staff will do anything to accommodate your every need and the location was perfect! You will not be disappointed! Thanks Glacier Hotel for making our Christmas special.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very luxurious hotel - Beautiful hotel with great staff and very comfortable rooms
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice location - Staff was very helpful rooms are clean location is the best nice terrace on the top floor overlooking the lagoon , Resturant at ground floor and breakfast on the first floor is amazing
Bar tender in the restaurant was very good
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room, view, and staff were fantastic. Happy and quick to response to any requests we made. Breakfasts were delicious! After some very long days in the hectic markets, coming to Glacier at the end of the day was such a treat. A little bit loud but it is on the main street. Bed was SO comfortable it was hard to get out of it!
- Erin (10/5): Top notch service hotel with amazing views - Wonderful customer service, fantastic breakfast buffet and made to order eggs and omelets (which is included with the room), huge terraces with lake and mountain views and free hotel shuttle to the airport and even to local destinations.
- Traveler (10/5): Great Location - Perfect location for walking around town, central to everything but still quiet. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants.
- Iman (10/5): Great Stay & lovely hotel - it was more than satisfying
- chandra (6/5): Great location, convenient - Great location. Lack cleanliness in the wash basin and toilet.
- DANIELLE (10/5): Charming Gem - Beautiful comfort in the mist of all the hustle and bustle.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Well managed hotel - A well-managed and maintained hotel standing next to the lake. Good location and helpful staff. The restaurant is good too.
- Randall (10/5): Nice clean hotel good location. Good food. - I enjoyed this hotel the location was good very easy to move around. The room are comfortable with lots of room.
- Glenn (10/5): Very welcoming hotel on lakefront - Very nice new hotel in great location. Staff where very friendly. Good food but menu could have more choices.(but many more restaurants in the area and the menu is supposedly being redone) . Internet and electricity are off occasionally , but seems that way everywhere in Nepal. Overall a great experience.
