• Jenny (8/5): Typical basic Indian Guesthouse - The staff are very helpful and will do anything to help and make you feel at home. It is run by a family of three brothers. I had the top room. The terrace was up there too so easy access. If you’re been to India before you will enjoy it here. The view of the Ganga river is amazing. If it a first visit to India you may be shocked at his basic things are at the hotel. Lovely staff. Helpful. Breakfast is nice on the terrace. I had the honey banana pancake every day with a pot of tea and warmed milk. The bed was a little hard. The bed linen was clean The pillows are basic. The floor is clean There is a small fridge. The only negative is the standard of cleanliness/cleaning in the room. It definitely needs improvement but the lovely staff made up for this. Just a note….. the stairs are very steep so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

• Julie (6/5): - The property is in a good location right on the river bank with direct access to the local food stalls and ghats. But the place was tired and run down, and a little dirty. What really let this place down was the lack of ammenities, no kettle, cups,glasses, old worn towels and sheets, broken chairs and tables on the terrace (but breakfast was good) unreliable wifi…and no data coverage on the bottom floor, toilet cistern would not fill. Understand it was only $60 per night but basic amenities were missing

• Karen (10/5): - We had a room with river view which was lovely. Air conditioner worked well and also had a fan. Hotel staff extremely helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Bed comfortable and shower was very good. Breakfast included which we picked off of a menu. First day raining so we had in our room, second day on the roof top which had great view. After contacting them prior to staying they organised shuttle from airport and return as you can not park close to the B&B. Short walk to lots of restaurant options also and shops for tourist stuff for chemist etc all within easy reach. Would definitely return and recommend.

• Benjamin (8/5): Convenient location, helpful staff, good breakfast - Conveniently located guest house overlooking Chauki Ghat. The staff were friendly and helpful, and a good breakfast was provided. The management were very keen to organise a transfer from the train station, although we suspect we may have paid over the odds for it.

• Maria (8/5): Perfect place to bisit Ganges - The location is excellent near the river. Be prepared to wind through the maze of streets yo get to property because a rickshaw can't take you all the way. The staff was very helpful in booking rickshaws and a tour to Sarnath. They were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious on the terrace looking over the river.

• Ekaterina (10/5): Easy to reach, friendly and super clean - Amazing place for the most reasonable price among many hotels and guest houses in Varanasi. I travelled alone and was afraid to face bad behavior, not so clean rooms and other problems. But the team of Kedareswar BB is doing the amazing job! The hotel is on the Ghat that is super easily reachable both from the big road, and from the river side. The location is super safe and spacious, so you will not get lost or scared by narrow streets. And you can enjoy Ganga view in the mornings right from the hotel's rooftop or your window. The hotel is super clean and neat, and the team, Pintu and Mintu bothers are real gentlemen, that control the high class service, atmosphere and attitude to tourists in the hotel, by its staff and service workers. Rooms are neat, hot water is always there and working well. Internet, lights and anti mosquitos devices are at your disposal. Importantly, the team really helps. They always talk to tourists, explain locality and some context that you may no know. They recommend you where to go, to eat or drink, can help organizing the boat on Ganga river and taxi and many other things. They do it because they care, not because they want to get your budget for senseless activities, no. Pintu and Mintu are really nice people that do not overcharge or lie. I enjoyed my stay and I want to come back. I am super grateful for the team, the family of owners of the hotel for being nice people and providing incredible experience in incredible India! • Yoomi (10/5): EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS - They gave us the top floor room, and there was also the terrace where we had breakfast every day with the view of the Ganges. LOVED our firstcontinental breakfast (which was included in the accommodation) after having Indian food for every meal (because we loved it so much), and loved the choices they gave you, between different styles omelettes,yogurt, toasts, etc. Rooms weren't the biggest, but has been one of our favourites of the entire India trip (one of the coziest for sure). Loved that it was right on the Ganges, and very convenient location to explore the Ghats. The cozy blankets were a nice touch for the cold nights. Staff was very nice as well. Truly recommend this place!!
• Lawrence (10/5): Riverfront location - Kedareswar is situated on the Ganges river ghats with an exceptional view from its river-facing rooms and rooftop terrace (where breakfast is served), located deep in the city's labyrinth of lanes, a great location not too near the noisy center of Dasashwamedh/Godolia but still walking distance. Its rooms and beds are simple but do have air conditioning, wifi, and round the clock hot water, all appreciated. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfasts were great.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - Location is convenient by the Ghats. This place is run by all guys, there are no women working there. The bathroom situation is odd, when you have a shower the floor stays wet so later when you use the facilities you must walk on a cold wet floor. I was grateful for lots of hot water for showers however. Some of the guys were friendly & others were difficult & I tried to avoid them. I don’t think that they understand how to clean floors ie like use hot water & soap & clean rags. You will see for example them drying the floor rags that are filthy to use for next time. You can eat on a roof top with a view but you must tolerate one of the kitchen guys standing next to you picking his nose or worse things with his nose while you try to swallow your breakfast. I will not be back.
• Joel (10/5): Hôtel magique ! - Situation idéale magique vue sur le Gange, personnel adorable et dévoué, établissement très propre et confortable au coeur des plus beaux ghats. Pour l'accès de l'aéroport demandez un taxi à l'hôtel le jour de votre arrivée car il n'y a pas d'accès aux véhicules à moteur sur les derniers mètres dans les petites rues. Les gars de l'hôtel vont porter vos bagages et vous guider, également pour le retour. Tous les bons plans, guide (français) , bateau etc... sont fournis par l'hôtel. Bureau de change pas loin avec excellents taux. Indispensable pour ceux qui souhaitent être au coeur de l'Inde profonde !
• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, comfortable, and in a PRIME location - Kedareswar B & B is in a prime location. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff lined up an excellent guide for the local area as well as a sunrise boat cruise on the Ganges. The view from the roof is exceptional (where they also serve a lovely breakfast). Considering the limited options of quality accommodations on the ghats, this is a great choice and good value.
• Laurent (8/5): Bien situé, belle vue sur le Gange - Hôtel sans prétention qui aurait peut être besoin d’une remise à neuf. Mais bien situé : mi chemin Assi Ghat et ghats de célébrations/crémation. Vu sur le Gange superbe: top au petit déjeuner notamment. Personnel sympa et serviable.

• Neil (10/5): Great stay - If you go Varanasi, the only place to stay is on the ghats and not is some swanky 5 star place 10km from where the action is. Unfortunately there are only 2 star places BUT this hotel should be rated 3 stars. Comfortable rooms, good service, good wifi, this hotel not only a view of the Ganges from most rooms but its situated right on the ghats. I couldnt have asked for more

• Patricia (8/5): Hotel right on the ganges - We had a large room with river views. Good fans. Ok air con. Intermittent wifi. Helpful staff who speak english well enough to communicate. Good breakfast. Like to comment on their honesty and the honesty of the services they use - unbeknownst to me i left my camera in the taxi they use. While checking in a phone call came in to say something was left in the taxi. Within half an hour it was returned to me with everything in the case-sd cards,spare lens etc..Very very honest. Will stay again if I visit varanasi in future.
• おがけん (10/5): ガンジス川を眺めるホテル - 旧市街の南寄りにあります。周辺は狭い石畳の道なので、オートリクシャーでも最後は少し歩くことになります。ガンジス川（ガンガー）が目の前で、岸へ降りるガートもすぐそこなので、川に入るにも、観光名所となっているガートや市街地などを歩くにも便利です。テラスや階段からただ眺めるだけでも、周辺は比較的静かなのでゆっくり時間を過ごせますよ。 スタッフのうち数名は日本語が話せます。ツアーの申し込みや困ったことなど、英語で伝えにくい時に助かりました。ツアーはホテルで申し込みましたが、とても丁寧なドライバーさんで良かったです。 お部屋の広さは十分、衛生状態も問題なく、エアコン等も効いていて良かったですが、コンセントやベッドの破損が少しみられるなど、バッチリとは言えませんでした。 朝食は、テラスでもロビーでも食べられるとのことで、暑さに耐えつつテラスでいただきました。トーストに、飲み物と卵メニューを１つずつ選ぶ形式でしたが、ボリュームも十分で美味しかったです。
• Derik (10/5): Great budget Bnb on Ganges - Location is great, right on the Ganges. 10 minute walk to the main ceremonies. The area is very much the getto, but Varanasi by the Ganges is like that. The main this about this review is Very Clean. Roof top great pics of the Ganges. You can’t go wrong with this budget diamond in the rough.
• MAMMY (8/5): 日本語堪能で人の良いオーナーがいらっしゃいます - GW明けの一人旅に利用しました。 空港からメイン通りのGodowliaまでタクシー(うまく交渉すれば500Rsくらい)で1時間、Chowki Ghat付近のホテルまでは河沿いを歩けば15分程で着きます。 道中は老若男女色んな人達が話しかけてきますが（笑）、もし道が分からなければぜひ彼等に聞きましょう。人懐っこいので意外とお金も要求せず正しい場所へ連れて行ってくれますよ。 ただ夜に着くなら空港送迎を事前にお願いした方が安全です。 オーナーは日本語を流暢に話され、誠実で優しい方です。 リキシャやタクシーの相場、ツアーの手配や気をつけた方が良いこと等聞けば何でも教えて下さいます。 部屋はベッド、タオル共に清潔でエアコン・お湯の温度も問題なし。この料金クラスでは当然かも知れませんがドライヤーはありません。 フロントに頼めば冷えたペットボトルのお水1Lを貰えます(オーナー曰く2本目からは有料だそうですが、いちいちカウントしていないのか後述する電気供給問題のお詫びなのかチェックアウト後に何も請求されませんでした…5本も貰ってしまった) 朝食は6時から屋上テラスで戴けます。コンチネンタルなのでインド色はありませんが、チャイとオムレツがなかなか美味しいです。ガンジスを眺めながら贅沢なひと時が味わえます。 注意点は近くの木を伝って猿が来ることがあるので、遭遇したら目を合わせずに逃げて下さい。(猿は目を合わせると威嚇されたと思って襲ってきます。写真に偶然写り込んだ猿と1対1になってしまい、お尻を軽く噛まれてしまいました) また、バラナシではよくあることだそうですが滞在中に停電になってしまい、復旧に丸一日かかりました。 停電中は予備バッテリーで点く照明以外の電気の使用ができないので、クーラーなしの汗だくな夜を過ごすことになりました。 ただしそれらトラブルも楽しいと思えるような独特の魅力がこのホテル この街にはあります。

• Nathalie (10/5): Helpful staff - I only had one night in Varanasi but Gopal (and his brother) made sure everything went very well during my stay, from pick up and drop off at the airport to visiting the city safely. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace overlooking the Ganges and the tours organised were really interesting and authentic. A shame I couldn't stay longer!

• Verified traveler (8/5): ガンガー沿いの良い宿です - スタッフの対応、部屋の清潔度はまったく問題ないです。お湯もちゃんと出ます。 暗い時間帯の到着だったからかもしれませんが、場所がちょっと分かりづらかったです。 バラナシ駅でリキシャーの運転手にホテル名（英語）を見せてもGoogleMapを見せても通じず、 ヒンディー語の住所を見せてようやく分かったようでした。 それでも、リキシャーは路地には入っていけないので、Pitambarpura Rd.とSonarpura Rd.との 交差点で下ろしてもらい、そこから歩きました。最初から「ケダルガートの近くまで行ってくれ」 と言ったほうがいいかもしれません。付近は商店や飯屋が多く、雰囲気は良いです。
• Kersti (8/5): Mahtava sijainti - Meille erittäin sopiva majapaikka kahden yön vierailulle. Pieni perheyritys, jossa palvelut toimivat hienosti ja sopimuksen pitivät. Tiesivät mitä matkailijat tarvitsivat ja auttoivat kaikessa. Hoitivat veneen ja soutajan, neuvoivat ravintolaan, jossa myös länsimainen matkailija saattoi syödä turvallisesti. Pysyimme terveinä. Otimme huoneen, jossa oli parveke joelle. Pelkästään siitä saattoi seurata rantakadun elämää.

A localização é perfeita, pois fica perto e tudo e ao mesmo tempo um pouco afastada evitando os momentos em que os pontos tuisticos ficam lotados. O único ponto negativo é o Wi-Fi que fica sem funcionar ou funciona muito mal.

• Verified traveler (4/5): kind staff - Stayed 3 nights at Kedareswar. They gave us free water on the first day. On the 2nd day, we also requested water. They didn't say anything when giving out water, but on the day of check-out, they charged us 50 rupees for the water. The staff who takes care of our lugguage and cooks breakfast is super nice and kind. Although he barely speaks English, we could feel his warm hospitality. The owner of the property usually lies on the couch with half-naked body which made us quite uncomfortable to stay in the lobby. He didn't even say hello to us while reluctantly responding to our request. However, all other staff members were kind in general. The view from the rooftop was fantastic. Their airport pick up and drop(850 rupees each way) was very convenient. The price is quite high in the region.

• Komala (6/5): Convenient & Sufficient - The hotel is right on the banks of the holy Ganga River in Chowki Ghat. The hotel will arrange for you to be picked up at the airport. The taxi will drop you off a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. The hotel can only be approached through narrow alleys which are populated by people, monkeys, goats, stray dogs, cows, lined by shops, shrines. From the drop-off point, you can either walk or take a cycle rickshaw. You can request lunch & dinner at the front desk. The food is ordered from a nearby vegetarian restaurant (suryoday). The food is excellent, simple & hygienically prepared & delivered. Request rooms which offer view of the holy river. The front desk will arrange a guide to take you to the temples & a car to take you to nearby attractions (Sarnath, Chunar). There is 24 hour hot water (runs tepid). Soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner is not provided.
• philip (8/5): Nice family-run bed & breafast - Good location, overlooking the Ganges and deep in The heart of Old Town. Breakfast on rooftop with amazing view. Very helpful staff that helped with boat tours, restaurant tips and tours.

• Barb & Ivis (8/5): Reliable service close to the Ganges - Very effective e-mail communication before our arrival regarding additional services - taxi from/to the Varanasi airport, morning and evening river boat trip. Hotel staff expected us on the main street - the taxi from the airport cannot get close to the B&B. They carried our luggage and took us to the site (not an easy task to get through a maze of narrow streets and an evening busy street life). Same help when leaving for the airport. Prearranged boat trips (morning/evening) exactly as agreed upon - price/time.

• Jane (8/5): Super location right beside Ganges - Very good location just right beside Ganges, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast in the roof top with Ganges view, how cozy and lovely! I can see Ganges from the window in my room.
• Pika (8/5): Great Location, great staff - I really enjoyed this hotel as the location is right along the Ghat of Varanasi. You can walk or be on any ghat and walk all the way from one end to the next. This hotel by the main ghat (5 minutes where they do the ceremony). Everything was walking distance. You can find many restaurants nearby. The hotel itself was clean for the most part, I was not a fan of the restroom because the toilet, shower, and sink were all next to each other. So when I would shower, the toilet would be wet. The bathroom floors were ALWAYS wet because of the shower. so BRING SANDALS. Because it was hard to walk barefoot in the restroom or with socks, then walk out to the bedroom with wet feet. Varanasi is a poor city so I do not expect to be in a 5 star resort (unless you're further away from the ghat or are paying $300/night). This hotel was reasonably priced. Breakfast? You HAD to order it, it's not like buffets in the morning as many people are used to. You would sit on the terrace and they would come to bring you breakfast (which was included). Staff was extremely nice. Taxi rides can be arranged from the hotel TO the airport, however they did not contact me back from getting a taxi from the airport TO the hotel. So I had to make sure I had to the hotel on my GPS so that when I went to the pre-paid taxi booth at the airport, I was able to show them where the hotel was located, they dropped us off 5 minutes from the hotel and we had to FIND the rest of the way there by my phone GPS.
• Emerson (6/5): Small, quaint, friendly with an amazing location - This property is what it says, a small bed and breakfast owned by a family who actually lives on property and runs it. Positive things about this property are location (you can walk everywhere and it's located right in front of the Ganges river with great morning views). Breakfast is good and safe to eat and staff are friendly and accommodating. A few negative points are the lack of air conditioning in the room (it has a ceiling fan though) and neighborhood can be quite noise at all times (had to wear earplugs to fall asleep). Overall, I would stay at this property again.

• KEISUKE (10/5): Comfortable Place - A Hotel Staff is very helpful and kindness and hotel Owner speaks japanese language well so very helpful for me. A room is clean & comfortable and nice ganger river view but a room charge is slightly expensive compare with others. thank you !

Personnel super compétent.Chambre agréable et propre (si possible dernier étage),bon petit déjeuner face au Gange. Aucune hésitation, c'est ici qu'il faut être.Booker votre balade sur le gange avec eux,bon tarif.
• Todd (10/5): Best Lodging on the Ghats - The location in the middle of the Ghats along the Ganges is unbeatable. While having the included breakfast on the roof, you are staring at the river. Besides that the staff is attentive and eager to assist booking extra excursions like boat rides or a trip to the Buddhist site Sarnath. Tip from me: take them up on the offer of an airport pickup and save yourself the headache of negotiating a fare. The last part of the journey will be on foot, so better to have hotel staff directing you. They also had the best combination of hot water and shower pressure I experienced in a month of travel in India. Had a great stay!
• auntie (4/5): adequate - not so much as a bar of soap provided charged 3 times as much as a local would be no room service
• Alison (10/5): Lovely place in very good location - We arrived late and unfortunately I had made an error with the booking. The wonderful Mintoo saved the day by providing us with a one night stay at Kedareswar and we were then able to go to their other establishment a few minutes walk away. We were still able to use all of the Kedareswar facilities. The Kedareswar room was very comfortable and looked out over the Ganges. The shower was hot (not always the case in India), the bed was comfortable and warm. Brekky was served on the deck overlooking the Ganges so had a magnificent view. The service was quick and the food was great - apart from the very watery porridge.
