Guest Reviews
- Samantha (8/5): - Only thing I suggest is a mini fridge for the standard room.
- Nestor (10/5): - Easy access to the area and the hotel. A nice quiet cozy place to stay
- Clarence (8/5): - Clean room and helpful staff
- Johnny (6/5): - Found mold in the bathroom and the wifi was terrible. The cable was horrendous. No water was provided. The staff were very nice though. For the price, there should have been more or better amenities.
- Mary (8/5): - My experience staying at Palm was pretty decent to be honest. I wish the room had more amenities though. The wall unit air conditioner was heaven though, LOL! However, the front desk staff and the manager were very patient, courteous and professional dealing with my transaction. I reserved my room on Palm’s website overseas before coming to Trinidad and there was a miscommunication on my end. I was very impressed how the staff and hotel manager handled my situation.
Thank you again for taking of both my mother and I.
- Diane (10/5): Palms Hotel - Its not the first time I've stayed there (the Palms, Trinidad) i call it my 2nd home. Staff are amazingly friend. Room service is on point & the cleanliness is faultless. I would highly recommend. I staff for weeks at a time. There's plenty of delicious eateries around (minutes walk)
Although i love staying at the hotel the only disappointment I had was the restaurant, which has been taken over by Tropical Hand. I was not impressed with this company. There are 2 separate companies & i hope this does nit bring the hotel down
- Ronnie (10/5): - Nice location
- Jason (8/5): - Budget friendly and convenient. Bathroom facilities can be improved
- Angela (6/5): - The staff was lovely. However the quality of the room does not match the price considering on that same day a big brand Hotel was 20 more .. we were expecting at least a similar room experience considering such a minimal price difference.
- Lisa (10/5): - It was an ok property. Is stayed overnight to catch a flight in the morning. It was clean and comfortable; pleasant staff. I would stay here again
- Tenielle (8/5): - Everything was good about the Property, the only complaint i will share is the table and chairs in the breakfast area needs 2 be a bit more sturdy. Almost spilled my hot tea all over my legs
- Melissa (2/5): Rethink stay! - Very dated and looks like an old apartment building. Bathroom shower tile looked old and dirty. Looks like all the money went into the Spa area. EXTREMELY noisy all night!! Doors slamming, loud talking and not to mention the road and traffic noise you hear all night! Only large towels provided. No small wash cloths or anything! The standard room was really small with only a bed and nightstand and tv. Looks like a dated guestroom in someone’s house. Only good for a quick overnight stay nothing more! Hotel staff isn’t friendly either.
- SHEKELLIAH (10/5): - Clean and peaceful
- Prunella (10/5): - I got a real Trinidadian breakfast which i was not expecting. The place was very clean and everyone were very helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not a bad choice for a short stay. - My stay was average. The hotel is average but its location, close to two malls and restaurants is excellent. I was disappointed that there was no kettle, cups etc. in the room.
- Madhav (10/5): Cute little hotel with great service - Excellent staff and a great little place. Rooms very clean and air conditioned. Showers were great. Pool is small but good. Hot breakfast is nice as well. They have in house masseuse and it’s great.
- Fabian (8/5): - Hospitality was good !! Courteous and supportive staff
- Mensa (10/5): - Great service
- Landl (2/5): - Was convenient and place was clean
- Krystle (2/5): - Sheets were dirty
Room not moped
- Keann (10/5): - Absolutely LOVE this property. Very close proximity to transportation and shopping. The staff was phenomenal and very accommodating!
- Lydia (8/5): - The bar area is great.
- Christine (8/5): - Close to the airport
- SAM (10/5): - Nice property
- Tonya (6/5): - Everything about this hotel was decent except the breakfast options. The breakfast lacked variety eg.no fruits, no pastries. It also ran out on Saturday morning so make sure you wake up early that day.
The staff are very pleasant and accommodating.
It’s 5 mins drive from two popular malls and they can call a taxi for you, if you wish.
Overall I had a good stay.
- Dennita (8/5): - Beautiful out door dinning and relaxing area
- Davon (4/5): - The room was dirty. Limescale all over the faucet and shower and the area behind the toilet was also dirty. In the creases of the shower was dirty and everything else in the room was rusty. The wardrobe was old and stuffy like if it wasn’t cleaned and it had a musty scent to it. On top of that, we had to be asking the housekeepers to clean the room (take out the trash, change the towels etc) and there was no trash bin in the room. As for the parking, the car park was a tiny car park which was often full and we had nowhere to park. Staff was nice and helpful nonetheless. Our stay was horrible and we wouldn’t be returning to The Palms Hotel
- Lendeisha (10/5): - The property is quaint, not too big. Cozy for a quick getaway.
- Kyle (8/5): - I enjoyed my stay, it was quiet and easy going really appreciate the staff
- Arnold (8/5): - Great staff.....very accommodating
- Ramdeo (10/5): - Easy checkin, great bar and fun pool area
- Marie (10/5): - Everything was on point
- selwyn (10/5): Great - The stay was safe and comfortable, lots of free enjoyable breakfast , excellent staff
- Michael (6/5): - We were not there long enough to do a proper review as we just needed a place to stopover. The only real issue is that it stated that they were 2minutes from the airport and they are ot
- Karen (10/5): - Improvement on the property is a plus.
- Anthony (10/5): - Convenient and secured
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent - Checked in . Staff was courteous and helpful. Bed was comfortable
- Jacob Winston (10/5): - Excellent
- Nestor (8/5): - Peaceful, warm welcoming staff. Value for money
- Earl (10/5): Wonderful - Wonderful and accommodating will surely return
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My stay was short but ok
- Delon (8/5): - It was ok
Place was clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Most of the staff was very friendly!! It’s a little far from
Downtown Port of Spain, however very close to Trincity mall..that is a pretty good mall!
- elizabeth (6/5): - Staff was accomodating.
Chef was excellent.
Nice floors, shower.
However to use toilet, one must kneel on toilet seat.
- Vhee (8/5): - The Front desk Kareen agent was very warm and courteous. She was very nice to my son and i appreciated that. The property felt secured and it was worth the price paid. The room was fairly comfortable with the basic amenities available. The a/c was extremely cold and even thought i slept without it for the night the room was still good. The breakfast offerings were fair enough ,however i must say that those were the best pancakes i have ever tasted. I am not a big fan of pancakes but i decided to go with what was available and i did enjoy breakfast. Big up to Derrick the taxi driver, who was very accomodating. I must admit that the property could do with a little face lift, nonetheless , i was satisfied.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property was a basic B&B. Upon arrival, our room’s first impression was marred by a terrible smell. We had to request air freshener. The WiFi was intermittent at best. The shower could have done with some descaling. The breakfast - if you can call it that - left a lot to be desired. Hotel was conveniently located for the purpose of our visit to Trinidad, however price should have been less for the distinct lack of amenities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I nice secluded property.
They should try and have an resturant and or bar
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The hotel is a distance from the shopping areas.
- Shannon (8/5): - The hotel has nice patio spaces around the property for guests. It has tropical landscaping -palm trees and local vegetation- quiet neighborhood, 24hr security, and a very friendly staff. The staff were the best part about staying here. Very basic but clean. Don't expect toiletries to be available and bring your own towels. Bring bug spray and spray the door frame to prevent the bugs, particularly the ants, from getting in. And keep the room cold or the floor will melt. Not even joking about that. Whatever it is that is used to seal the floors melts at temperatures above 23 Celsius. I stayed long enough at this hotel to figure that out.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very convenient location to airport and public transit to capital city.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing was grest about this placewas a dump .dont look anything like on websiyr
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the breakfast it was delicious everyting was on point housekeepers was every helpful wonderful staff overall
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Went for carnival get location close to airport yet not to far from festivities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good for the price . Shshsjsjsjjsjsjsjsjsjsjsjsjjs
- Verified traveler (8/5): - nice location to airport
missed having a nice cup of coffee in the morning only instant available in a styrofoam cup
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly staff
Housekeeping did a good job
Complimentary breakfast was good, though all the good stuff would be done round 9am
A minibar would be nice
Water took way to long to get warm
- robert (8/5): - O. K. for the price. Seems safe. must pay for taxi to airport
