Guest Reviews
- Elizabeth (10/5): - I called to confirm they take service dogs without fee. They confirmed it with no hesitation. Did not ask for a certification upon check in, just trusted us. delightful lady on the phone and equally delightful upon check in. They accommodated ground floor access request, very cheerfully! This room was newly renovated, I have a full kitchen, including full fridge, stove, and oven, sink with new coverage. The bathroom has been completely renovated with new shower combination bathtub, marble floors, new laminate flooring in the bedroom, excellent value for price! We will stay there again in a year. Dairy Queen and Denny’s across the street, this was a jewel of a find!
- Ram (10/5): - It was very quality and as descriptions I see an online it is same as it is clean inside very tidy fresh smell heating and air condition is inside both your microwave fridge and stove, exhaust fan dresser, washrooms, and floor or above the average and there is a fire extinguisher in the room Floor so excellent worth of money I really enjoyed for sleeping no noise. I really recommend this place for everybody to book and future they should upgrade more rooms and more booking should given to them and more advertising should be done for them. Only thing is parking.
- Andrew (10/5): - Glad we booked, great price! Wish we stayed another night.
- Ange (10/5): - Very nicely renovated. Very nice staff. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
- Alyssa (10/5): - Room was super clean
Staff was extremely kind
Felt very safe and quiet
- Lily (10/5): - The motel was very well located/ our room was clean and renovated. We got a great deal compared to the other hotels in the area that were going over $200 a night. The staff were very attentive and helpful. If you are looking for a budget friendly option this motel is wonderful. I will be returning.
- Javiera (2/5): - A lot of problems in this place, I have pictures of everything, never came back. Terrible place
- Kristin (6/5): - The motel room itself was good and clean, and had been revamped nicely. The staff were lovely. The outside of the motel was run down and falling apart, and the parking situation was challenging. They were seeming to be working on exterior improvements by painting when we arrived, and it is apparent the place could become a really cute spot when remodelling is complete.
- Cameron (6/5): Don't judge by the cover - Nice friendly service
- Josh (2/5): - Broken AC Unit, TV didn’t work, place was not well maintained. We left at 3am to get out of there as soon as possible.
- Natasha (6/5): - The room is updated but the hotel itself is in disrepair. Just some cleaning, paint and landscaping would go far but its curb appeal makes you uneasy. Seems to be a lot of the rooms occupied by tenants as well, some who are up all night. Though it was a cheap stay, next time I will spend the extra $20/$30 and stay somewhere just a little more put together.
- Judy (8/5): - The room was fine - clean, updated, with a kitchenette and everything we needed. The exterior of the building and walkways and stairs were badly in need of some TLC.
- kevin (10/5): - Good
- Rosealine (8/5): - Flower area was lovely & well kept.
- Chad (10/5): - Stay was very nice.
- Arlene (10/5): - The friendliness of the owner for a long term stay guest was very welcome. The chairs outside the doors was helpful. The room was very clean and looks like it was newly updated. The full kitchen with full size fridge and stove was also helpful to a long term guest.
- Mark (8/5): - It is easy walking distance to restaurants and grocery store
A bit noisy with the truck traffic. Love the little creek with the ducks in it
- Dwayne (10/5): - When we first saw it, it was " ummm what did we get ourselves into "?
The outside looks extremely tired and need some work done.
But when we got into our room we were extremely and pleasantly surprised. It had wall to wall hard wood floors, a full size fridge, a stove, pots and pans, cutlery, and dishes. The two queen size beds were extremely comfortable. And bathroom was clean.
The only downside was no place to hang clothing.
It is extremely close to the main highway thru town, but after dark it was pretty quiet. Had some noisey neighbors the first night, but the second night we slept like babies.
- Ahmad (6/5): - You should clean outside as well, not only the rooms
The staff should be available 24 hours at the reception.
- Norm (10/5): - Lovely room and kitchen
- Amber (6/5): - Was ok, area was a bit unsettling but not bad. Staff very friendly
- Barbaraann (6/5): - The lady upstairs vaccumming at 1000 pm
- Verified traveler (8/5): Decent stay at a fair price. - Decent no frills experience.
- Brian J (6/5): A Night in Vernon BC - On a busy thoroughfare so noise was noticeable until very late at night. There were several permanent residents relaxing on the front gallery but all were friendly enough. The photos are a bit out of date as this is definitely an older property. The bed was comfortable enough but the bedspreads need to be replaced. Our stove unit did not work but everything else did.
the stream that runs between portions of the motel was pleasant to look at but there was a lot of refuse visible from our rear gallery. Also other residents gathered on the rear gallery to enjoy their morning coffee but their conversations easily carried into our room. It was an ok place to stay one night but I doubt I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The beds were nice and comfy.
Staff err not friendly And
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Go for the ice cream avoid the hotel. It’s extremely out dated and has elderly live in residents. It’s also overpriced. Spend the extra 20 bucks and go down the road.
- John (8/5): Ok for a night or two. - Motel is fine for a quick overnighter. Office door on the inside was quite greasy and black, I didn’t want to touch it. The motel is somewhat rundown but the room was fine. People who run it seem nice. Decent value for the money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - staff was very friendly, motel was in a good location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hehhehehhshshehhehshshsuushes sbshhshshshsjshshshshhshs
- Verified traveler (2/5): - horrible staff and motel was dirty and noisy on the main street
- Warren (4/5): - They did welcome dogs, but noisy guests next door at 3 in the morning
- Lisa (2/5): - They put room #23 & treated me like a crack hooker & somebody should call the health inspector these people literally violated every right I have as a Canadian citizen & I live in Vernon & I'm getting a lawyer that's how badly I was treated in my own city.
- Tajinder (10/5): Great location. - My stay was great friendly staff. Great location. Walking distance to everything. Little stream in the back was a cool touch.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Weak wifi - No wifi in a room downstairs facing away from the highway, probably because it was downstairs from the main router. That room did not seem to have been cleaned as it was quite dusty. They changed my room to the one facing the highway, and the wifi was slightly better.
- Cadence (2/5): Strangers knocking on door at 3am - Unwelcoming front desk, noisy, nearly broken a/c unit, strangers pounding on front door at 3am, unfresh comforter and pillows, tub had noticeable black mold in between tiles and on grout, dated tv flickered before finally turning on, bulb in bedside lamp burnt out, was not given wifi password by front desk. Was given wrong room key so staff ran outside to give me a different key, not explaining why. Plastic shampoo packets provided were too difficult to rip open in the shower, so couldnt wash hair.
- Julie (4/5): Outdated, Run Down Motel on the Highway - We grabbed the motel for a night looking for something easy while passing through Vernon. It was run down and very outdated, and thin walls close to the highway made it a loud night. Overall, the room appeared clean but there were many spots that were clearly missed in many prior the cleanings (for example the bathroom ceiling, TV buttons). Mattresses were clean but very old. Despite being a non-smoking room, the room smelled heavily of smoke, likely from the thin door that didn’t properly fit in the frame.
- Calvin (10/5): good value - very convenient and easy check in
- Harley (8/5): nice place close to downtown - We were ther for a funeral so did,nt get out too much but the stay at the hotel was great.
- Menie (8/5): Close to hi-way restaurant and grocery stores - We only stayed for 8 hours just to relax before our flight . All I can say is the hotel is nice and the room we're in is clean and the bed is comfortable.
- Christian (10/5): GOOD STAY - The hotel was more than what we expected, the icecream was delicious and everything about it was great.. The staff were super friendly and always helped us and answered all of our questions!!
- Jasmine (10/5): GREAT! - Everything was clean and we loved it! They have a beautiful stream running below the hotel and there were ducks and plenty of other wildlife running around. Very cute motel and would visit again next year.
- Peter (10/5): AWESOME STAY - The staff were amazing and extremely sweet. The room was more than we expected with a kitchenette and the price was GREAT! Loved the homemade ice-cream attached to it.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible customer service - Called them to let them know I would have to check in late and they simply told me no over the phone. Someone that didn't speak English very well picked it up and told me they close at 11 pm and I could not get there later even though the night was already paid for. We ended up losing 100% of the payment. Absolutely horrible customer service. I will never recommend this place.
- Jackie (10/5): AWESOME HOTEL - I loved the hotel, it was exactly what we expected and the room was very clean and quiet. The ice-cream connected was AMAZING. The staff were very friendly and the price was good. I would tell all my friends to come here.
- Ron (4/5): - Very outdated. Didn't feel comfortable there
- ronnie (4/5): very outdate - very outdated saving grace was nice comfortable beds.
would rather have tried one of the other hotels close by here
- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - We would not recommend this place to anyone. Old dirty and smelly room, feelings that everything is falling apart. The linings with some white stuff on them.... Add extra bucks and go somewhere else.
- Dave (8/5): clean comfortable friendly - We asked for the same room we had before, and they accommodated our request. its clean, comfortable and friendly. parking is a bit tricky
- Shannon (4/5): Terrible customer service - paid for two nights but after a long drive late into the night, having worked all day, no one was there to admit me. I had advised the hotel that I would be late. The lobby was locked and after finally making contact by phone, the proprietors would not receive me even though I had paid for the room. I had to sleep in my car. I checked in at 9:00 the following morning and stayed the second night. My room faced the back so it was quiet and I was able to make up for my lost sleep. Pretty shabby, stay somewhere else.
- Pat (6/5): lovely setting - reasonable and clean.
