Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Peggy was a great hostess. And the house was located close to bus lines.
- Liz (10/5): - Great B & B, superb host, easy access to public transportation. Great bed and bath. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Warm, Friendly welcome from Peggy the owner. - The Guest house was in a great location for myself visiting friends in nearby Ballybane.
It is on the bus route into Galway town so easy access to there aswell.
Peggy was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back if in Galway again.
- Timothy (10/5): - Peggy and PJ were wonderful hosts. Just a short bus ride into lovely Galway from bus stop opposite.
- Jan (8/5): Rolig strøk nær bussholdeplass. - Hjelpsom vertinne som kom med forslag. God frokost!
- Stephen (8/5): Wonderfully relaxing stay - Fantastic place
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Best place I stayed while in Ireland. Peggy takes great care of her guests. Good price. Convient to the bus that takes your right to the center. If you're going to Galway you cannot go wrong staying here!
- Verified traveler (4/5): So so - I was unhappy that it said it was close to center city and it wasnt. Had to take bus. Didnt no it was cash only.. My error not looking at small print. Never stayed, but the lady an rm seemed nice
- Verified traveler (10/5): In easy reach of Galway - Bus stop at the end of the street which made it easy to sightsee Galway. You could easily use it as a base to tour the area.
- Marilyn (10/5): Away from center but frequent buses to town - On the positive side: The host couple is very, very friendly and the Irish breakfast is delicious. I loved the Irish soda bread so the hostess made sure she had fresh bread each day, even if it meant making a special trip to town to get it from a good bakery. On the less positive side, you can only book a double room (there are no "single" accommodations) and even if you are a single, you pay the price of a double room.
The location is quite far out (near GMIT, approximately 2km from the center?) so travelers without their own car need to plan on taking a bus or taxi to the center. For travelers with their own car, it's no problem. It's a small town and there are no traffic jams (except maybe when driving out to Salthill near the beach on a holiday weekend, on the other side of town.)
- Matilda (8/5): A nice place - Nice and welcomming place, 45 min walk from Galway center but on nice roads. There is also a bus that runs frequently.
- Mette (10/5): Et herlig B&B hotell.
- Antoinette (10/5): Clooniff House was wonderful! - Peggy and PJ were terrific! They are very friendly and happy to help with any questions you might have. Be aware that they only take cash, which is not uncommon. My family and I would gladly stay there again!!!!
- Max (8/5): - Very nice b+b with friendly landlady - thank you
Susan and Max
- Verified traveler (8/5): A lovely end to my trip to Ireland. - The hostess was helpful and had me organized for my trip back to Dublin in minutes. Just what I needed at the end of my Ireland adventure. While a little out of the way, I was glad I was not in downtown Galway. When I arrived in Galway at around 3pm on a Saturday afternoon it was crazy. Groups of drunk guys wondering around acting stupid. A short bus ride to a quiet, clean accommodation.
- Mary (10/5): Excellent experience - Excellent friendly service, value for money. Owner most helpful
